This is Rasputin Erasmus, a young man from Sarina in regional North Queensland about to launch his MMA career against some boofhead called Kevin Wooten at FV14 - New Hope.

Rasputin is a finely tuned athlete with a passion for violence. Wooten is a punching bag. This fight won't last long. It will be brutal, bloody and extremely violent.

FV14 - New Hope will be a memorable event as it is the night Rasputin enters the cage for the first time. Remember the name Rasputin Erasmus. Future FV Heavyweight champ.

Reporters from Kick-Puncher.com caught up with the #1 Contender to the FV Middleweight Championship, Jase Robertson, outside his home gym of The HILITE Fighting Club in Los Angeles, CA. The fearsome striker had just finished a session of vicious boxing sparring with GAMMA welterweight Mic Hael and undefeated KT prospect in the WCSA, Thiago Almeida. He agreed to answer a few questions as he unwrapped his hands and packed his gear into a black duffel bag.

KP.com: Jase, you're known as a stand up fighter but many believe that the champion is a better striker than you are. How does that change your game plan going into a title fight?

Jase: Why would it change anything? This is why I love trading leather, man. It doesn't always matter who's technically better or perceived to be better, it matters who lands the first big shot, and I'm REALLY good at landing big shots. Just ask the last three guys that I've faced.

KP.com: So you're predicting to knock out the champion?

Jase: Why wouldn't I? When I win, it's by putting people to sleep, and I'm planning on winning. You do the math.

KP.com: What happens if he catches you?

Jase: Then he catches me. Occupational hazard. I don't plan on letting that happen, though. He's been knocked out before, and by guys who hit a lot softer than I do. That belt is mine.

Forbidden Violence #12: Leave it in the Cage Preview and Insider!

Good day and good evening to all of you loyal followers of the Forbidden Violence previews, where you can get the scoop on who is fighting, where, and what you can expect to keep you glued to your TV screen until the final bell. This one is a bit ahead, with the event happening on March 22nd, of this 2014 year. As it gets closer and closer to judgement day, you can expect some solid athletes in that cage. They are all working hard for our viewers, for their camps and for their organization, relying on their contracts to pay for their next meal. So, lets get right to it! Today we are featuring the top five fights of the evening, headlined by 185 pounders Kermit Earlandson and Abel Speed in the main event. Right before them, setting up the crowd for the main course, is the 205lb title match between Jethro Savage and Jermaine Barksdale. But, let us start with the rest of the main card first!
Of The Night bonuses are sponsored by HGH Nutrients, which is the real deal unlike a lot of things in life. The owner is Thor HGH, make sure to purchase the best supplements available from them!

Main Card Bout 1 : Middleweight 185lbs Match-up - The Steel Penn Alliance vs Eliod "Scooter" Bunkley lii

To start with the main fights, is these two. "Scooter" is coming into this fight with a record of 15 - 14, previously being a staple in the HERO organization, he has transferred over to Forbidden Violence to expand his competition. The 27 year-old out of the USA is looking to defend his home turf in Las Vegas. Most of his losses have come from TKOs and Decisions, leading us to believe he cannot finish a fight or hang in there in the end. His stand-up game is under-rated but still respected in FV, with an excellent wrestling background. Even though he is a brown belt in Jiu-Jitsu, 8 out of his 15 wins were submission finishes. He must be sneaky in how he applies them, catching opponents off-guard. He will need to get this fight on the ground, pulling off a flash of brillance with a reversal into a submission. Training out of the Miletich Xtreme Fighting Systems gym, they are the best in giving their warriors a fighting chance.

Going against him is The Steel Penn Alliance, a fighter from Ghana who is flying from Hilo for this event. Being only 23 years old, you would think this is his first organization. Forbidden Violence is his fifth one, debuting tonight with a record of 5 - 6. Having gained Submission of the Night and KO of the Night awards before, he is a double threat. Penn can use his black-belt in Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu to dominate on the ground, or manhandle his opponents with a striking skill set not seen in a while. Coming out of the little-known Training Gym, Penn can definitely raise their reputation with a win here.

Being aggressive and on the move will be his best bet, taking advantage of his all-around versatility will secure a KO or Submission before the third round.

Main Card Bout 2 : Welterweight 170lbs Match-up - Mikio "Flame666" Okita vs "Imperator" Caeser Augustus.

A thirty-seven year old veteran from Okinawa, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mikio Okita has the experience advantage here. Previously ranked #1 in the weightclass, he is working hard and plowing through the organization to gain that recognition back. 2 - 1 record in FV and with a 35 - 22 record overall, he has beaten Caeser Augustus before by TKO. The memory of the beating has not faded from the Italian's mind, but neither has the gameplan from Okita's. Be sure to see his expert Muay Thai clinch game and Jiu-Jiutsu at display. A dominating performance in the clinch or on the floor is to be expected here. Fighting out of the Ballas Only Gym, they got him covered with the best training in the Las Vegas area.

Only about four years younger is his opponent, "Imperator" Caeser Augustus. A native of Italy and fighting out of Las Vegas, he comes into this FV event with a 0 - 2 record in the organization. 14 - 10 overall with 9 of his finishes coming via Submission, he is willing to use his Red Belt in Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu without hesistation. Equally as strong as Okita in Muay Thai, it will be an interesting match up between the two. Experience on Okita's side, Caeser's athleticism should prove useful as Father Time has been kinder to the Imperator. Losing his last two matches by TKO and Decision, a turnaround in his luck will be most appreciated. His camp, 11th Planet Fitness, are ready to help him do just that.

KO by Okita in the third round.

Main Card Bout 3 : Heavyweight 205lbs Match-up - "IronMan" Kelvin Garnet vs Jamalski Ramirezovic

The last match before the two main events, this is a veteran vs a youngster. Kelvin Garnett is currently 41 years old, coming in to the fight with a record of 31 - 20. With most of those wins coming from a TKO or KO, he is ready to rack up another statistic. Winning 4 of his last five matches by Unanimous Decision, his experience has enabled him to gain points while minimizing his opponents, skillfully controlling the pace of the match. An all-rounder with his stand-up, he can clinch, he can punch or kick, and definitely knows how to throw his weight around with wrestling. Flying out of London to fight, he is not coming all the way out to Vegas to lose. Look for him to keep the fight standing, close and personal.

His opponent, a native of France fighting out of Las Vegas, Jamalski is 29 with a record of 20 - 21. Mainly a striker who can use his wrestling to keep the fight standing, Jamal is looking for the KO of the night, having it awarded to him six times in his career. With eight Fight of the Night honors, we are looking for him to bring it home. Having just lost against Jethro Savage, the current Heavyweight champion, a win here will begin the road back to contention. Coming from GAMMA, he has been around some top competition. His experience will valuable here, looking to knock down the old man a size.

The Blacksmith Megagym is looking for a victory here tonight for their gym by either KO or submission by the second round.

Title Co-Main Event : Heavyweight 205lbs Match-up - Jethro Savage © vs Jermaine "The Juggernaut" Barksdale

Just coming off a successful title takeover, Jethro Savage is not willing to let go of the belt yet. Having successful runs in the UPG and UFC fighting organizations, his skills followed him into Forbidden Violence.The englishman out of Helinski is flying out with a 20 - 9 record coming into this match, Jet is going to be a tough cookie to crack. With dangerous elbows, sneaky submissions and an all-round skill set that can adapt to any situation in the ring, Jermaine will have to find a way to tackle this challenge. Most of his losses were by TKO, albiet there is not too much to worry. He can take a couple hits as well as deal it back, with late round finishes catching his enemies by surprise. Look for his camp, Personal Training Gym, to lead him to the promised lands.

"The Juggernaut" is looking for the title, bulldozing through the previous champion in his last fight to gain the right. It will be his first time competing for a title. A 12 - 5 record may look like he is inexperienced, but his skills don't show that. An elite with all of the basics of MMA, Jermaine is focused on taking hold of the chance of a life-time. A resident of Las Vegas, he is looking to keep the belt here and not letting it get back on a plane without it around his waist. Being thirty compared to Jet's 33, they both are winding in their careers, a year or two left in primetime. The chance to push themselves into superstardom is now, with neither hesitating to take big risks. The BLKOUT Training Center will not let him down, giving him the best tools to arm himself towards a decisive victory.

Jet defends his title in the fourth round with a comeback submission.

Main Event : Middleweight Match-up - Kermit "The Frog" Earlandson vs Abel "Amazin" Speed

A classic striker vs grappler battle here folks. Kermit is a native to Kosova, fighting out of Las Vegas. He must of had a phenemonal Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu teacher, as his 16 - 17 record was completed with a straight 16 submissions. 8 of those 17 losses have from submissions which Abel isn't proficient remarkable at, so that will be on the 26 year-old's side. Favoring arm triangles, triangle chokes in general, he has no plans letting go once he catches his prey. The ground-game will be the world of "The Frog", dominating in Bushido and WCF before appearing in FV. He shall not disappoint, nor will his camp Miletech Xtreme Fighting Systems, training him down to the seconds before the weigh-ins.

A veteran of the sport, "Amazin" definitely has a record worthy of the adjective, 21- 8. A native of Brooklyn but flying out from Hilo to meet up against Kermit, he is a striker at heart. Very good defensive abilities, he is rarely taken to the ground as he has never been submitted before in his career. Folks, Kermit might hand him his first one. Very dangerous clinch game and quick hand-speed from boxing, a KO finish is the only suitable finish for this bad boy. His experience of being a previous champion will be the deciding factor, knowing what it takes to defend his title three consectutive times before being let off due to the end of his contract.

A submission by Kermit in the third round is what we are predicting.

Make sure to come to Hayashi's Lounge to watch it! Only 2,000 seats available folks! Help us sell out! Also for those of you who are daring and want to make some money, Evil Banking and Bets, run by Damien Washington, is taking bets on the outcome of every fight in this event. FV #12 - Leave it in the Cage Review

Venue: Sat 22nd March @ Hayashi's Lounge - Las Vegas

On an evening packed with top MMA events across the globe, one of the newer organisations had put together a show that had certainly drawn the attention of the locals as Hayashi’s Lounge in Las Vegas, Nevada was packed to the rafters with a full attendance.

Main Event

Kermit “The Frog” Earlandson (16-17-0) vs Abel “Amazin” Speed (21-8-1)

Speed came into this bout having only lost once in his last 5 fights which would normally make him huge favourite going into the bout but this was his first FV fight and it was against a man who in his first showing beat Jim Carlo with an Arm Triangle to win the fight of the night award at FV #10.

And the main event didn’t disappoint with both fighters going for it from the offset. Within 30seconds of the start Earlandson took the veteran Speed down to the ground and that is where it stayed for the rest of the round with both fighters staying active on the ground, attempting a combined 10 submission attempts between the two.

The second round was not too far dissimilar from the first with “The Frog” going for submission attempts although mainly in defence as Abel dominated the control, with strikes raining on Earlandson from every position.

“The frog” surely had to know as he entered the 3rd that this was a must win situation and he couldn’t leave anything in the tank as Speed had dominated controlled both prior rounds but unfortunately he couldn’t deliver with the veteran Speed immediately knocking him down of a series of counter strikes. From their Speed followed in and kept the strong ground work up he had done throughout the entire fight thus far controlling the majority of the fight for the remainder of the round until the final bell.

With the Nevada crowd going ballistic over the 15minuets of high intensity action they had just witnessed. The judges’ score cards all read the same 27:30, 27:30, 27:30 and you winner by unanimous decision in his first FV fight….. ABEL “Amazin” SPEED!!!

Light Heavyweight Title Match

Jethro Savage (Champion) vs Jermaine “The Juggernaut” Barksdale

*FIGHT OF THE NIGHT*

This was the fight many had been waiting for, Champion vs Challenged, both having shown their worth with Champion Savage holding the title and Barksdale undefeated in FV events. And it was a fight well worth the wait.

As the home town favourite came out to the theme of Ain’t No Sunshine, the overwhelming support from the home crowd showed in the added confidence as he came to the cage and the performance in the first round dominating form start to finish did nothing but spur on the chants and support from the fans.

The second round followed in similar suit as “The Juggernaut” came straight out of the gates matching every striker thrown from champion Savage, with only a takedown with 1:30 left in the round to give the champ any confidence heading into the third.

Following the success of his take down in the 2nd round the champion went straight to it from the offset of the third attempting countless submissions which gave “The Juggernaut” very little trouble as he controlled the ground as well as he had controlled the rest of the fight in the first 2 rounds.

With Barksdale controlling the first 3 rounds so successfully the champion knew he had to go for a finish in the last two but he couldn’t produce any success with strikes or submission attempts despite holding such resilience against Barksdale’s relentless assault no matter the position. With the fight going the full distance it was taken to the judges cars but it had been clear from a very early stage just whom would leave with the belt. The ring announcer announced to the lively Las Vegas crowd that by Unanimous Decision (score of 45:50) crowning your new FW Light Heavyweight Champion, Jermaine “The Juggernaut” Barksdale!

UNDERCARD

Kelvin Garnett (31-20-0) vs Jamalski Ramirezovic (20-21-0)

This fight had all the makings of a closely contested 3-round classic between two of the more senior members of the card – the only question on most people’s minds was would the 41 year-old Garnett be able to keep with the intensity of the much younger Jamalski. This question was quickly answered as within the first minuet of the fight Ramierezovic cut Garnett with a straight right counter to the head but this seemed to do nothing but spur on the veteran of the sport as the initial flurry subsided the stamina and cardio of Garnett showed as he clawed his way back into the round managing to also cut Jamalski.

During the second and third rounds the story was much different, as the relative youth of Ramirezovic was fresh, hungry and prepared to go the distance in this great battle. With the second round controlled by Jamalski, Garnett knew he’d have to go out and finish in the third but the effects of the hard thought battle were showing and any hope of a comeback were short-lived as Ramirezovic through what most believe to be the cleanest shot of the fight straight to the same spot as he cut before busting Garnett’s cut further open.

Despite reaching the final bell it was obvious to everybody in the venue which way this bout had gone and it was to nobody’s surprise when it was announced the winner by Unanimous Decision was Jamalski Ramirezovic.

Mikio Okita (35-22-0) vs “Imperator” Caeser Augustus (14-10-1)

Since arriving in FV, “Imperator” Caeser Ausustus was yet to win (0-2-0) and had already lost to Mkio Okita who had had much more success in Forbidden Violence winning two of his three bouts. It was clear to all the Caeser was out for revenge and the memory of the last fight seemed to spur him on as he dominated the round from the off-set with a take down and complete ground control for the entire round with Okita having to pull out some of his finest defensive work to stop a first round finish.

The second round was a significant improvement as Okita took control from the start taking the fight right back to the ground where both fighters seemed more than happy to take it to. It only seemed right as we entered the third to see the fight end the way it had been fought throughout as straight off the bat in the third it was taken back to the ground (this time by Augustus) where with 1:30 of the round gone Okita worked a Guillotine only to be denied by Augustus’s great defence but Okita managed to work his way into Triangle Choke which Augustus had no answer too. After it was confirmed to the audience that Mikio Okita had won by Submission (Triangle Choke), he went on to thank the great crowd and express his disappointment in his first round performance promising his next fight would be stronger for the full duration.

The Steel Penn Alliance (5-6-0) vs Eliod “Scooter” Bunkley Iii (15-14-1)

With both fighters being renowned for their ground work and particularly their wrestling ability most had a clear picture in their heads as to how this fight was going to go, and they were not to be proved wrong today with entire fight, excluding a jab and quick leg kick from The Alliance, being fought in the clinch or the ground. As Bunkley Iii performed a fantastic double leg takedown most now assumed a technical battle for position and submissions would now take place but “Scooter” had other ideas as the lighter fighter used his pure raw strength to create open clean shots from the ground ‘n’ pound. It took till the fourth minuet though before Bunkley really got past the full guard and started landing heavy shot – which was soon followed by a vicious elbow that left Steel Penn unable to defend himself.

Unfortunately for all watching Bunkley Iii was not as good at public speaking as he was at fighting and post-fight, after it was announced that “Scooter” had won by TKO in the first round, he went on to embarrass himself in one of the poorest post-fight speeches in recent memory.

Johnny Rotten (28-19-1) vs Ange “Touchy” Fili (9-3-0)

It was clear as the fighters entered just who was the fan favourite coming into this bout off the huge ovation that Ange Fill received as he walked to the cage and “Touchy” didn’t disappoint in his performance tonight.

Some may have wished for a slightly longer fight but Fili finished it in style dominating from start to finish landing strike after strike before eventually being declared winner by TKO after Fili landed a huge right hand on Rotten which he preceded to mount and pound before the referee called a stop to the bout. Post-fight he thanked his new team Ancient Alien and from what we just saw tonight we can safely say they really have spurred him to a new level.

Freddy Steel (7-2-0) vs Jamal “Tinman” Tinsley (15-12-0)

Not a bout that was huge anticipated but one that fans got to enjoy greatly none the less, the first of the undercard to get out of the second round and it was a fantastic all round display from both men – particularly eventual winner by TKO 3rd round Freddy Steel.

The “Tinman” was unable to get his first win in FV despite taking the bout to the third round and dominating the first round in clinical fashion. Tinsley’s momentum was cut in the second when a cut he sustained early in the first was clearly bothering him and Steel’s momentum only picked up from their throwing strike after strike before eventually forcing the ref into calling it time when Tinsley was unable to defend a series of strikes and a particularly strong knee.

Nick “McGregor” The Highlight (3-2-0) vs Izya "Grizzley" Haimovich (5-3-0)

In a fight that featured two of the less seasoned fighters on the card McGregor and Haimovich were able to put on a very solid showing each with Haimovich taking down Nick with great speed but was unable to beat the Highlight once on the ground as McGregor controlled from the bottom and eventually put a guillotine on a unsuspecting Haimovich who was left with little choice but to tap out once The Highlight had managed to get to the full guard. During the bout McGregor had been the busier of the two and fully deserved the submission victory in the 1st round

Bear Wilkinson (0-1-0) vs James “Tank” Osty (4-2-0)

This bout featured the youngest member of the card and the man they called “The Tank” due to his immense strength. Bear Wilkinson had come into the organisation highly tipped but once again the youngest disappointed with being knocked out in less than 30 seconds by James Osty. In this 25 second bout the Tank managed to cut, knockdown and finally knock-out Wilkinson to take the victory, in what may just be Wilkinson’s last fight after two extremely poor showings by the 18-year-old.

Bentley “Corbin” Tessin (7-3-0) vs Dillon Weber (6-21-0)

Bentley Tessin entered the bout as huge favourite to win against what appeared to be a much poorer opposition in Dillon Weber (Weber was previously beat in 10 seconds by Mike Lie in his FV debut) but the Forbidden Violence crowd were in hope of a upset but as most predicted this never came nor ever looked likely from the opening bell when Tessin came out and his first move was to takedown Weber strongly to the mat. From there on out it appeared only a matter of time before Tessin would put Weber away with either the ground ‘n’ pound or submission and at the halfway point of the first round it happened, To Tessin locked in the Kimura and Weber was left with little choice but to submit to the hold in what was a very routine victory for Bentley Tessin.

The chosen venue for this even is at the Hard Knocks arena, with a maximum capacity of 3,000! The main event will include Nyffe Pehmytkudos vs Jase Robertson! Setting them up beforehand, will be the co-main event of Bruce Gracie vs Omar Jackson! We are expecting a sold out crowd with you paying your moneys worth! We are expecting the main event to be the Fight of the Night, but who knows! The OTN bonuses are paid for and sponsored by HGH Nutrients, your stop for the highest quality of supplements to enchance your training results!

Main Card Bout One : 265lbs Super Heavyweight Match-up - Paul Brown vs Nick Foles

Here is our first fight of the night! It is a between two heavyweights, the more experienced Paul Brown out of the fighting organizations SPNY and INY, has the advantage here. Debuting in the organization with a record of 10 - 7, all of his losses have from TKOs. His weaknesses stem from his weak chin and questionable ground game. Though, with the advantage of experience and his boxing skills, he can pull out a win if he avoids the clinch and stays on his feet. Brown will need to pull out some veteran tricks, for the 32 year old will have his hands full with the youngster Foles.
Foles is a 23 year-old out of New York, who is debuting in his first fighting organization, the great Forbidden Violence. With a 2 - 0 record, he has not fought enough to clearly see his abilities, but we know his training has been top-notch. Highly versatile with advantages in Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai and olympic-esque wrestling, Foles will be looking to school the old dog with new tricks.

We are looking for a victory by Foles, early TKO in the first round!

Main Card Bout Two ; Title Fight One : 170lbs Welterweight Match-up - Adam Duritz vs © "The Natural" Avon Barksdale

Well heres a good one! This is a title fight for the 170lbs division! It is between the current champion Avon Barksdale, hailed by many as "The Natural". He has come from some high-level fighting organizations, including Syn, SPNY and SPFT. Coming into this fight with a record of 18 - 12, hes had his fair share of victories and losses. But, that is expected with the caliber of competition he has gone against in his career. With skills well versed in all aspects of the stand-up game and rudimentary understanding of the ground, we will be looking for his patented TKOs and decision wins. Representing his city of New York in Las Vegas, we are sure he will not disappoint as the 33 year-old veteran has much family waiting for his victory.

Going against him with only one fight under his belt and only needing one win in the organization to gain a title fight, Adam Duritz is ready to compete for the belt. A local native of Las Vegas, he is the fan favorite to win against Avon. The 27 year old has the advantage standing-up against Avon, with a devastating clinch game and unrivaled wrestling abilities, he might prove too much for the title holder. Ready to decimate his opponent, Duritz will need to be wary of the experience gap. It will surely be interesting!

Duritz will win it with a KO in the second round!

Main Carfd Bout Three: 185lbs Light Heavyweight Match-up - Tangerine Dream vs Macadam Baird

It is America vs Canada here folks! In one corner is Tangerine Dream, who is coming into this fight with a very impressive 20 and 5 record. Having competed in ROF, VFC which he was a champion of his division, CWFL and most recently a Kickboxing organization known as USF, the man has no doubt gained valuable experience throughout his career. Being 37, his engines are still running high and nothing looks to stop him yet. A purple belt in Jiu-Jitsu and some of the best boxing skills around, we will look for the champion experience to push Dream over the edge for a victory.

Against him is the Canadian sensation, Macadam Baird! He is coming into this bout with a record of 9 - 4, reflective of his 24 years of age and young career. He had earlier sucess as apart of the Holmgang series, showing off his versatility. Known for his ground and pound, black belt in Brazillian Jiu-Jiutsu and exceptional pedigree in wrestling, he will be tough to stop. His athleticism and youth might prove too much for Tangerine, as Baird has been in good form as of late. Riding the streak will be vital as will be his own decisions during the fight.

We will see a submission in the first round by Macadam!
Co-Main Event : 145lbs Featherweight Match-up - Omar Jackson vs Bruce "Mr. Jiu jitsu" Gracie

We are looking towards the end of the night folks with the Co-Main Event! This will feature two premier athlets in Omar Jackson out of New York and Bruce Gracie out of Las Vegas. They are coming with the records of 14 - 10 and 19 - 13, respectively. Known by many as Mr. Jiu Jitsu, Gracie will be looking for his 17th submission victory tonight, decimating his adversaries in quick fashion early in his career. At the age of 27, he has fought in many organizations, most well known for his uprising in EMMA. Sometimes spending too much time trying to secure a submission, it has resulted in 7 decision losses out of the 13. So it will be vital for Gracie to weaken his opponent first or catch him off-guard.
Omar Jackson has been apart of MMM, Troid where he was once a champion, Galaxy and XxX, being in quite a few fights himself at the age of 29. He is mainly a boxer with extensive training in wrestling, he will be looking to keep the fight standing. Jackson will end the match swiftly with a KO if Gracie can't find a way to take him down, but that is highly unlikely. Looing for his first win in the Forbidden Violence organization, this will be a hard test for Jackson to pass.
Gracie in the first round, submission!

Main Event : 185lbs Light Heavyweight Match-up - Nyffe "Vekkuli" Pehmytkudos vs Jase Robertson
Lets get right to the Main Event! It is between Nyffe and Jase, the best in their division duking it out! Nyfee is the current owner of the belt, coming into the fight with a 18 - 15 record that does not look impressive, but he gets the work done. With previously being a main part of UPG and UPGV's roster, this man has had his fair share of tough competition. At the age of 34, he is mainly known for his incredible boxing and wrestling. One of the best at dishing out TKO's, Nyffe sure knows how to receive them too. Let's see if his chin can hold out against Jase!

Robertson is only 28, entering this event with an undefeated 1 - 0 record, with an overall 21 - 8. He is looking to use his youth and athleticism to his advantage, along with his own champion experience from previous organizations. He has the skills to take Vekkuli down to the ground or brawl it out standing, with an array of Muay Thai and Boxing skills at his disposal. Look for some takedowns thrown into the mix too! As neither fighter has an noticeable advantage when it comes to wrestling.

We are looking for a spectacular finish here folks, as we believe Robertson is going to win with a TKO in the second round.

This Week In Evil #1

This very first thing that needs to be mentioned is that there is really twelve owners all baring The Evil Empire name, and yes they are in fact in all twelve cities. Some are very established and some are brand new and we have everything in between. We are going to take a look at where everyone stands today as organizations.

#12 Evil Hostility Hilo- Now they are last in their city ranked number five and they are ranked one hundred and eighteenth worldwide but EHH has yet to run an event. EHH is currently signing fighters of all weight classes and with so few organizations in Hilo they should be off and running with a full roster shortly.

#11 Evil Evolution- Currently ranked just above EHH in the world at one hundred and sixteen they become the second organization to be dead last in their home city. Once again just like EHH they have yet to host an event. They have two events on the books and will be kicking off what should be a good long run in Tokyo on Sunday March 30th.

#10 Evil L.A. Fight League- This will mark the third organization in a row to not host an event yet. With L.A. being a crowded market ELAFL has decided to just focus on Featherweights and Light Heavyweights to start building their reputation up. Even though they are the highest of the ranked organizations to not hold an event yet, I think they are the furthest away. We will have to see in the weeks to come.

#9 Evil 9- One event down and three more on the books for Evil 9 and they have a nice lead on the three organizations behind them. Evil 9 is inside the top one hundred and with some good event in the next few weeks and they could be competing for number eight.

#8 Evil HERITAGE- HERITAGE has the up and coming Evil 9 chasing them down while they are in a battle for number seven. Currently being seventy sixth in the world they are only a few spots away from number seven in the Evil Empire and could even over take number six with some strong events.

#7 Evil Empire: Amsterdam- EEA is right in the middle of the second little grouping of organizations by world rank. They are ranked seventh in Amsterdam and seventy third in the world and only six spots away from moving in Evil Empire position number six. To move up to sixth and really start competing with the top five they will need to consider opening another division and try to grab some well hyped free agents.

#6 Evil Troid- The first organization on this list to crack the top seventy Troid is surprisingly in a bad place. The higher you get ranked the harder it is for you to improve and sitting just outside the top five means they will struggle to gain while everyone else is just chasing them down. They are currently ranked sixty seventh in the world and only hold a six spot lead on EEA. I could see it being a major struggle for Troid to crack the top five with the 215k ID restriction.

#5 Evil Hardcore Montreal Fight League- Ranked number five in the Evil Empire and ranked number five in Montreal but they are in the top fifty in the world. They have a good lead with the five spot and they are not far behind number four. EHMFL is open id and they have a big event coming up on Saturday so they could get even closer to the number four spot.

#4 Evil Forbidden Violence- Frank King has done just one hell of a job out in Vegas. He is currently ranked number forty and he is looking to maintain a firm grasp on the number four slot. If he can improve EFV more than he has in the past month or two we could see him in the top twenty worldwide. I think everyone should take a look at his bonus structure because things like that attract fighters and managers.

#3 Evil Empire: Throwdown- This is the only organization to currently hold the number one rank in their city. They are also the first org appearing on this list to have cracked the top twenty. I did see an event scheduled but with no fights confirmed yet so I cannot pass judgment if they are moving up or down this week. Throwdown has a comfortable lead on EFV and they are only six spots from the number one slot in The Evil Empire so I hope they get some big fights on this next event.

#2 Evil Siberian Fight League- Currently ranked sixteen in the world and number two in their city as well as The Evil Empire. They have a huge event coming up this week and would like to explode into the top ten. If they do that they will pass up The Evil Empire New York and overtake first place. ESFL I think is the most equipped org to hold the number one slot for a long time.

#1 The Evil Empire: New York- Number eleven globally, number three in their city, and number one in The Evil Empire is a nice feat. I would say they have no issue getting into the top ten but with no event scheduled this week they are going to drop, the question is how far? Will they still be number one in The Evil Empire and will they still be number three in New York? The answer is no. They could keep their ranking in New York but with the event that ESFL will be holding they should easily jump EENY for number one in The Evil Empire.

This ranking list is real interesting to me. There are small clusters of orgs almost like divisions. Twelve through nine are all extremely close, eight, seven and six are bunched together, four and five are very close, and one through three I think will battle with each other for a while. I personally can’t wait to see people start getting jumped in rankings spots, and what some of the owners do to try and get their spot back.

Now that we have seen where each of the organizations has fallen for this week I would like to look at the best events of last week. We all know that event rating is the most important thing to an event, the organization, and the owner so took the top five events by rating within The Evil Empire so you can see who is moving up, down, or just maintaining.

#5- March twentieth Evil Hardcore Montreal Fight League held HMFL Fight Night 30. With a big title fight main event and several other decent hyped fights EHMFL was able to pull out a 168.67 event rating. Since they are ranked fifth within The Evil Empire I am sure they would have preferred to finish higher on this list to make sure nobody was chasing them down.

#4- FV#12 Leave it in the Cage on March 22nd scored a 186.56 on the rating. Evil Forbidden Violence is nearing that two hundred mark and they will need to quickly exceed it to move up in the rankings. They do have a big event coming up this week which will have two title fights on so the two hundred thresh hold could get beat then.

#3- SFL 80 had a rating of 311.14 and was on pay per view. The main event was a huge title fight for the ESFL welterweight title featuring Alex Mercer against Andrew Kehoe. I am sure ending up third on this list is not what they had in mind, but I think next week will be a much bigger week for them.

#2- Evil Empire Throwdown 10 ended with a 322.53 rating. Throwdown held their event in a smaller venue then ESFL and it was not on pay per view but they were still able to edge out a better rating. EET did have two title fights on their event line up and I am sure that aided them into the number two spot. By beating out ESFL they were able to get right up next to them in the rankings. Another event like this could push them past Evil Siberian Fight League taking them to number two.

#1- Evil Empire 1 was our number one event. It was the only event to go over the four hundred mark as they hit 452.09. This event was also a pay per view and it almost hit thirty thousand in sales. Only one title fight on the event and it did not make the main card so this was done on just pure fighter hype. EENY could further their place as the number one organization if they had an even scheduled this week. Since their next event will not take place until April 5th they could be pushed as far back as third.

Obviously you want to get on this list if you are not in the top five organizations because that means you are gaining on the competition. It will be difficult to break on to these ranking because the higher hyped fighters sign with the higher hyped orgs but it can be done. As a matter of fact I have predicted next week’s top five shows and it does feature some people that where not on this week’s list. With EENY not holding an event this week and with Throwdown not having any confirmed fights I had to leave them out, but things can change as these are just my best guess.

#5- Evil Empire Amsterdam: EEA 7 Damozzi vs Bishop on Sunday March 30th

#4- Evil Evolution: EE #1 Blood, Sweat, and Tears on Sunday March 30th

#3- Evil Forbidden Violence: FV #13 No Regrets on Saturday March 29th

#2- Evil Hardcore Montreal Fight League: HMFL Mayhem by Slick Nik on Saturday March 29th

#1- Evil Siberian Fight League: SFL 81 on Saturday March 29th

If I am correct on my predictions here I can see ESFL over taking EENY. Regardless if SFL can pass EENY or not there will be a lot of shake up in the rankings for next week. Let’s move on to the Of The Week Awards. I took down the top five knockouts, submissions, and fights of the week, and hopefully soon I will find a sponsor to pay out the fighters that hit number one. We will do submissions then knockouts and finish up with fights. Anyone reading this that would like to sponsor OTW awards please get into contact with me so I know how much the fighters will receive.

Submissions

#5 Bruno Santos submitted Carlos Abuate with an Arm Triangle at HERITAGE 39 at 4:56 of the first round

#4 Romulo Barral submitted Billy Torpedo with a Triangle Armbar at T10: Live and Die at :58 of the first round

#3 Love Aikawa submitted Harry Callahan with an Americana at SFL 80 at 1:58 of the first round

#2 Babandiishe Chimutengwende submitted Alexander Volkov with a Triangle Armbar at EEA 6 at 1:37 of the first round

#1 Mikio Okita submitted Caeser Augustus with a Triangle Choke at FV #12 at 1:56 of the third round.

Knockouts

#5 Alex Mercer defeats Andrew Kehoe via TKO do to strikes at 3:51 of round number two at SFL 80

#4 Tesco Vee defeats Phukyorselvf Uzannavabizch via TKO do to strikes at 1:23 of the fifth round at HMFL Fight Night 30

#3 Phan Benjawan defeats Roger Ring via knockout with a punch at :52 of the first round at T10

#2 Rauli Raunio defeats Rista Rpa via knockout with a punch at :16 of the first round at Evil 9: New Age

#1 Winston Cole defeats Ron Kane via knockout with a head kick at 4:55 of the first round at EE1

Fights of the Week

#5 Jermaine Barksdale defeats Jethro Savage by unanimous decision after five rounds at FV #12

#4 Bors Hill defeats Mos Def by TKO via slam at :45 second of round three at HMFL Fight Night 30

#3 Simon Williams defeats Holy Jenova by TKO do to strikes at :05 of round three at EE1

#2 Spiral Stairs defeats Uzbek Krasavchik by submission Triangle Choke at 3:55 of the fifth round at EEA6

#1 Musashi Kato defeats Kazushi Sakuraba by unanimous decision after five rounds at EET 10

As I said earlier I am looking for a sponsor to pay out bonuses for these and I might be able to afford it on my own in the next few weeks. The only rankings we have left for you is the weight divisions and the pound for pound. I will do the top five of each weight class and the top ten pound for pound fighters in The Evil Empire. I was going to do a Fantasy Tycoon segment but considering how much this already is I chose to leave it out. If you would like to see a segment dedicated to Fantasy Tycoon just send me a message and I will consider doing it in the future. On to the fighters lists.

Bantamweight 135lbs

#5 Mike Corey Jr from Evil Hardcore Montreal Fight League, ranked 51st at bantamweight and 1184th P4P

#4 CJ Johnson from Evil Hardcore Montreal Fight League, ranked 30th at bantamweight and 844th P4P

#3 Yoko Gushiken from The Evil Empire New York, ranked 13th at bantamweight and 414th P4P

#2 Barney Rubble from Evil Empire Throwdown, ranked 7th at bantamweight and 175th P4P

#1 Stem Cell from Evil Hardcore Montreal Fight League, ranked 5th at bantamweight and 116th P4P

If there was a world title already I guess we would see Stem Cell take on Barney Rubble for it. I think that would be a great fight and it could send the winner to the top 50 P4P or even better. Congratulations to Evil Hardcore Montreal Fight League for dominating the bantamweight division by holding three of the five spots.

Featherweight 145lbs

#5 Bruce Gracie from Evil Forbidden Violence, ranked 159th at Featherweight and 1901st P4P

#4 Ivan ORourke Evil Hardcore Montreal Fight League, ranked 146th at featherweight and 1786th P4P

#3 Caol Uno from Evil Siberian Fight League, ranked 118th at featherweight and 1420th P4P

#2 Leroy Morris The Evil Empire New York, ranked 71st at featherweight and 835th P4P

#1 Tyrion Lannister Evil Siberian Fight League, ranked 15th at featherweight and 133rd P4P

Evil Siberian Fight League had the most appearances at featherweight with two so congratulations to them. The dream matchup would of course be Lannister (ESFL) against Morris (EENY) and that would be one hell of a fight.

Lightweight 155lbs

#5 Braddley Johnson Evil Siberian Fight League, ranked 134th at lightweight and 1269th P4P

#4 Lyoto Parks The Evil Empire New York, ranked 103rd at lightweight and 905th P4P

#3 Heavy Damage Evil Hardcore Montreal Fight League, ranked 74th at lightweight and 632nd P4P

#2 Esteban Delgado The Evil Empire New York, ranked 73rd at lightweight and 631st P4P

#1 Metin Eroglu Evil Siberian Fight League, ranked 57th at lightweight and 507th P4P

Second division in a row that features EENY and ESFL at the one and two positions they also tied for lead of the division with both having two fighters in the top five. Once we have a system set up for orgs to face off against each other these two seem like the front runners. Delgado versus Eroglu would be a very interesting fight and worthy of any main event spot.

Welterweight 170lbs

#5 Shawn Wexler Evil Hardcore Montreal Fight League, ranked 106th at welterweight and 775th P4P

#4 Tatsua Aoki Evil Empire Throwdown, ranked 105th at welterweight and 773rd P4P

#3 Andrew Kehoe Evil Siberian Fight League, ranked 56th at welterweight and 419th P4P

#2 Krystian Wojnasiewicz Evil Hardcore Montreal Fight League, ranked 30th at welterweight and 245th P4P

#1 Alex Mercer Evil Siberian Fight League, ranked 25th at welterweight and 213th P4P

This will mark the third division in row in which ESFL won or was tied for the lead of most top five fighters for the weight class. Mercer and Kehoe just faced each other in an epic battle and that is what propelled Mercer above Wojnasiewicz. Two top thirty’s at welterweight would serve as a proper world title fight I think.

Middleweight 185lbs

#5 Ricard Cuenca Evil Hardcore Montreal Fight League, ranked 46th at middleweight and 328th P4P

#4 Damon Pierce Evil Empire Throwdown, ranked 41st at middleweight and 299th P4P

#3 Kazushi Sakuraba Evil Empire Throwdown, ranked 36th at middleweight and 275th P4P

#2 Rufus McTearson Evil Siberian Fight League, ranked 24th at middleweight and 206th P4P

#1 Tweedle Dee The Evil Empire New York, ranked 7th at middleweight and 58th P4P

Throwdown had the most representatives at middleweight but both of them failed to make the number one or two spot. If we were scheduling title fights this would be our third EENY against ESFL matchups out of five divisions so far.

Light Heavyweight 205lbs

#5 Randy Orton The Evil Empire New York, ranked 45th at light heavyweight and 316th P4P

#4 Tesco Vee Evil Hardcore Montreal Fight League, ranked 43rd at light heavyweight and 304th P4P

#3 Thomas Stark The Evil Empire New York, ranked 38th at light heavyweight and 270th P4P

#2 Huges De Payens Evil Sibirean Fight League, ranked 33rd at light heavyweight and 241st P4P

#1 Dane Brigglett Evil Empire Throwdown, ranked 21st at light heavyweight and 153rd P4P

The Evil Empire New York has two fighters in the ranking giving them the most. The top two Brigglett (EET) and De Payens (ESFL) would be the two to face each other and that is a fight I want to see.

Heavyweight 265lbs

#5 Marcus Dantes Evil Siberian Fight League, ranked 62nd at heavyweight and 401st P4P

#4 Andrzej Niedzwiedzki Evil Hardcore Montreal Fight League, ranked 40th at heavyweight and 232nd P4P

#3 Simon Williams The Evil Empire New York, ranked 24th at heavyweight and 129th P4P

#2 Douglas Quaid Evil Siberian Fight League, ranked 22nd at heavyweight and 115th P4P

#1 Lan Mandragoran Evil Empire Throwdown, ranked 8th at heavyweight and 30th P4P

If we could get a Quaid Mandragoran fight and Lan wins he could be in the top 20 P4P, and then again if Quaid wins he would be in the top 50 P4P so either way it would greatly benefit both of them. This might be the best fight The Evil Empire could put on as a whole not just individual orgs. Evil Siberian Fight League won the division with two fighters appearing in the top five.

Super Heavyweight 265+lbs

#5 Mr. legendary Evil Siberian Fight League, ranked 73rd at super heavyweight and 3150th P4P

#4 Jimmy James Evil Hardcore Montreal Fight League, ranked 51st at super heavyweight and 940th P4P

#3 Ogusrivimus Amauimus Evil Hardcore Montreal Fight League, ranked 50th at super heavyweight and 938th P4P

#2 Uinicius Cavalcante The Evil Empire New York, ranked 34th at super heavyweight and 686th P4P

#1 Po Panda Evil Hardcore Montreal Fight League, ranked 26th at super heavyweight and 458th P4P

This is interesting as this has to be the worst division in The Evil Empire and it is only the second division to not feature an Evil Siberian Fight League fighter in the top two. It would be EENY against EHMFL at the battle of super heavyweight. Evil Hardcore Montreal Fight League had three fighters crack the top five giving them the division.

Before we go on to the top ten pound for pound fighters I would like all the fighters involved with The Evil Empire to start striving to make this list. It will be updated weekly and this is what you should be gunning for. Once someone comes up with the clear cut solution to determine world champions contenders will be coming from this list I am sure. Do you want to win the championship at your base org? Yes you do, because it will help you get to the ultimate goal of having a chance to say you are the best in the world. Now on to the top ten pound for pound fighters in The Evil Empire.

#10 Alex Mercer welterweight from Evil Siberian Fight League

#9 Rufus McTearson middleweight from Evil Siberian Fight League

#8 Barney Rubble bantamweight from Evil Empire Throwdown

#7 Dane Brigglett light heavyweight from Evil Empire Throwdown

#6 Tyrion Lannister featherweight from Evil Siberian Fight League

#5 Simon Williams heavyweight from The Evil Empire New York

#4 Stem Cell bantamweight from Evil Hardcore Montreal Fight League

#3 Douglas Quaid heavyweight from Evil Siberian Fight League

#2 Tweedle Dee middleweight from The Evil Empire New York

#1 Lan Mandragoran heavyweight from Evil Empire Throwdown

There is is folks the top ten fighters that are currently apart of The Evil Empire. Only four org are represented in this list currently so if you do not have a fighter that made this list get out there and recruit, and make sure you are building hype threw your matchups. Honestly some of the orgs that have yet to hold an event could have fighters making this list in just a few months or less. It will come down to you as owners to get your fighters on this page.

Well that takes care of all of our rankings and the most time consuming thing I have done in a long time. All these stats and placements will be gathered on Sunday mornings so it can and will change dramatically over the course of a week. So if you sign someone or have a big fight on a Wednesday and your fighter is not showing up its because of their rank or status at the previous Sunday mark.

Well we are down to just two more segments of This Week in Evil. In this segment I am going to take a pole question for the readers. All answers should be sent to me in a PM and I will stop taking votes on Saturday night. Next week the poll results of this week’s question will be posted with some discussion and a new poll question will be put up. You will need to PM your vote to this question by searching for me. My manger ID is: 93217 and if you think you will be a regular when it comes to voting please bookmark me. Now that we have contact information let’s get on to the question.

What is more important to you when it comes to The Evil Empire?

  1. Having a world championship for all weight classes
  2. Having world events and tournaments
  3. Being a part of something that could be game changing
  4. The ability to move fighters around without affecting title contention
  5. Other

Please be sure to send your vote in before Saturday or it will not be counted.

I wanted to do a little segment with ideas that I have about the idea behind the Evil twelve so I will set a paragraph or a page aside for that. That is where this paragraph is coming from. My helpful idea for the Evil 12 is a simple one this week, but it will greatly improve the entire group. I think that everyone should buddy up with another org. The closes by proximity that has one buddy being a top six and the other being in the bottom six. The top six should be looking at the fighters that will not receive a contract extension for whatever reason and try to send that fighter to its sister org. It will help the six orgs in the back of the rankings get a head of the non-Evil Empire organizations. The buddy system should also be used to host fights on each other’s cards as it will give a better rating to the lower orgs, and help the top orgs get some new opponents for their mid card range. Los Vegas and Las Angeles is a perfect example of this. When EFV knows they will not be resigning three fighters in the lightweight division that have 60+ hype plus popularity they should refer them to ELAFL since the distance is close and they would be contenders over there. Also once ELAFL is running events EFV could send two or three fighters over to do a few main event spots which will jump the event rating and allow a larger cash flow which of course leads to bigger names being able to be signed. This is just my thought and idea. I do have plenty more ideas that I will be throwing up on here so you will have to read weekly to see if there is anything good enough to jump on to and try to get all owners on board with it.

This Week in Evil will be posted on its own thread in the Fighter Interview sub forum where anyone can post comments or questions. I will also post it on each of the Evil twelve’s smack talk threads so each one of your fighters can see it. If someone posts a question or a comment on the smack talk threads I will not see it as I do not check the smack talk threads of orgs that I do not work or fight for. You will need to go to the Fighter Interview sub forum to post questions and comments. This thread would be a great thread to talk smack to fighters in other orgs that are a part of the Evil Twelve as it should get back to them with easy.

I have talked to a lot of fighters, managers, and owners with in The Evil Empire and a lot of you guys enjoy my work and I appreciate that. Now I know this is not like my typical work but I wanted to do something different and I had to make it enjoyable for maybe over 1500 different fighters when all 12 orgs become fully operational. With that being said I am thinking of adding a second Evil Empire show that focuses on interviews as I said before. There is also a chance that I will introduce a third weekly show that is more based on my current preview and review work where I do a review of the top ten fights and a preview for the weeks main events but we will see how much time I have available.

I would like to suggest to all the org owners to copy and paste this and send it out to all of your fighters. The reason behind it is that not all managers go to the forums and some people really enjoy the write ups and promos. Who knows it my make them what to bring their higher hyped fighters to your orgs.

FV Superhevyweight Champ Mark Calloway was forwarded an email from his manager today from Tony Lanes manager. He laughed hysterically and agreed to take a break from his busy schedule to sit down for an interview with his manager.

AE: Mark, you are going into a match with someone who submitted you a few weeks ago. What are you thinking as you train and prepare?

MC: I am thinking, Ive seen this before, been there done that. I may be new to MMA but I wasnt born yesterday. Just like I did with Mark Otsy, I will adapt. He will not get the chance. He is a one trick pony. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is an overrated skill. There is no place for it in the 265+ weight class....go do that with the little men.

AE: You recently walked out of contract renewal negotiations with the EFV. Tell us what you were thinking.

MC: I think we are going in different directions. I see new talent coming in, grizzled veterans, and while I am up to any challenge, I think right now I need some more development time to become the worlds greatest. Also, when I defend my title, we will sit down at the table again and see if we can iron out an extension. I will fight anybody. I am grateful to Evil Forbidden Violence for giving me the opportunity to be its first 265+ World Champ, and I will remain to defend it as long as it takes

AE: How are you going to turn the tables on Tony Lanes this time? What did you learn from your last match?

Well, I went back and watched the tape from the last match. He has good BJJ and good knees. He probably sucks a lot of dick or spends a lot of time begging for mercy. I am coming at him with some new shit. If he goes for a submission, I am going to slam him with ground and pound. If he wants to stand and bang, I am going to take him down quick and tap him myself. If he throws a knee, I will check it or get him in a single leg takedown. He cant outmuscle me, so I am going to dictate the pace and place of the fight.

Mark Calloway returned to his sparring session and brutally slammed his sparring partner to the ground with a sweep after his partner tried to knee his head during a single leg take down. Brutal ground and pound ensued with Calloways handlers having to pull him off his sparring opponent. Holy shit! I think hes dead!, somebody shouted. If he dies, he dies, said Calloway as he spit on the motionless sparring partner and left the octagon.

EVIL FORBIDDEN VIOLENCE you wanted, you got it.

FV #13 – No Regrets

Venue: Sat 29nd March @ Hard Knocks - Las Vegas

Attendance: 3,000 (Full)

Once again Evil Forbidden Violence had put together another card that had all the Nevada natives talking. This time it was Hard Knocks Arena in Las Vegas that was packed from top to bottom with yet another full attendance of 3,000 turning out to see the 13th FV card hoping it would be as good as the last.

Main Event – Middle Weight Title Match

Nyffe "Vekkuli" Pehmytkudos (Champion -18-15-0) vs Jase Robertson (21-8-0)

Here it is, the main event of the evening, The champion who had stuttering form in later 2013 but has really pulled through in 2014 vs the challenger who is undefeated in his last 3 fights. The most heavily anticipated fight of the night and everybody was hoping it lived up to the title fight earlier on.

As the bell rang everybody in Hard Knocks knew they were in for a stand-up war from the offset as “Vekkuli and Robertson starting trading blows from the offset with neither fighter really taking control in an incredibly ever first 3 minutes. But that’s where it all changed Pehmytkudos began to take control throwing a series of strong combinations and kicks the Robertson just had no answer for – the champion was showing just why he had the belt and he wanted to finish this in the final seconds of the round.

Then it all changed huge jab from Jase countered the onslaught and left the champion in a daze. Reobertson needed no further invitation before throwing a real bomb to the temple of “Vekkuli” leaving him out for the count. A really impressive showing from Robertson left him well deserving of winning the Middleweight belt by KO with a mere 3 seconds left to go in the round. Unfortunately his celebration and fantastic victory may be marred by the appalling speech he left us off with.

Co-Main Event

Bruce “Mr.Jiu Jitsu” Gracie (19-13-0) vs Omar Jackson (14-10-0)

In any fight on the card had an air of uncertainty to it, it was this one, with fans not being able to decide whether they thought I’d go the distance or be finished in the first. Those who went with the later of the two would’ve been right.

In what was the quickest fight of the night “Mr Jiu Jitsu” himself showed just why he carries that mantle and dispatched Omar Jackson in only 52 seconds, in what was a fantastic submission victory for Gracie as he took advantage of a hugely out of form Jackson when Gracie locked his arm-bar in tight to make Omar tap.

This fight must only spell bad news for Omar as he is yet to win in any of his 3 FV fights thus far, with a lot of fans wondering if he has what it takes to hang with the tough talent FV has here at 145lbs.

Main Card

Macadam Baird (9-4-0) vs Tangerine Dream (20-5-2)

The blue chipper vs the veteran, the grappler vs striker, Baird vs Dream. This fight had all the makings of a classic war between two of the top talents at 195lbs in FV with Canadian Macadam Baird looking to make a big name for himself by keeping dream without a win in FV.

Despite all of this, the fight itself was not one to remember for the lively Vegas crowd has Baird got the takedown early and held Dream there to till the highly controversial finish. With Dream trying to escape the ground and get back to his feet in the third min of the round, Macadam threw down what seemed to be an illegal elbow on to the cranium of the veteran - which went unpunished by the official before Braid closed in with undefended strikes from the mount before the referee called a stop to the fight.

Boo’s reigning down on the cage from the furious audience as Macadam Baird was announced winner by TKO, and they only loudened as Baird had the audacity to call out the winner of the match later between Robertson and “Vekulli”. It’ll be interesting to see how FV owner and match maker Frank King responds to this request, stay tuned for more….

Welterweight Title Fight

“The Natural" Avon Barksdale (champion) vs Adam Duritz (Undefeated 1-0)

This fight nearly never happened happened (when Barksdale missed his initial weigh in by .7lbs) but will be glad that it did as this title fight turned out to be the best of the night with both participants giving it their all to take the belt. Early on Barksdale came out strong and within 30seconds had cut Duritz open with a sweetly timed elbow from the clinch and Barksdale didn’t stop their continuing to control the early goings of the fight.

Despite drawing back into the fight by controlling the clinch better Duritz was in some clear trouble through-out the first round with the cut above his eye giving him some clear trouble and you could see the relief on his corner-man’s face when the round finished despite Adam’s dominance to finish the round.

From the start of the second round the ill effects of the difficult weight-cut began to show clearly on “The Naturals” performance as from the start of the round the Olympic Wrestler controlled the champion till the closing when Duritz hit a phenominal spinning elbow and followed up with some strikes Barksdale could clearly not defend forcing the ref to call the stoppage. The look of pure joy from Duritze as he maintained his undefeated streak and was announced new Welterweight Champion by TKO stoppage was clear but one has to wonder would it have been a different story had Barksdale controlled his weight better.

Undercard

Paul Brown (10-7-0) vs Nick Foles (2-0-0)

This fight was one of seven finishes on tonight’s Evil Forbidden Violence card as the Nevada crowd watched Foles remain unbeaten by dispatching Paul Brown in the first 2 minutes of the fight when Foles made his early dominance pay by closing in with a series of combo’s before finishing Brown with a flurry of strikes the referee believed Brown didn’t attempt to defend himself from. A thorough and tough performance tonight from Nick Foles with that TKO victory, giving him his 3rd straight victory and maintaining an impressive unbeaten start to his professional career.

Dark Fear (4-1-0) vs Johan Farfy Lii (2-1-0)

Both of these men have been with FV from an early point and both were looking to further their standing in the organisation when they faced off in the Hard Knocks arena and with the competitors involved the audience filling said arena knew they were in for a great fight with strong, most likely quick, finish.

And neither fighter disappointed with their performances, Farfy Lii came out strongest dominating the entire first round working Fear over first off in the clinch and then on the ground after a tough fought takedown put Johan in strong control. As the first round went on it did not improve for Fear as Lii put on some strong Ground n Pound to open up a cut upon Fears head. The beginning of the second round didn’t differ from the first, with Farfy Lii getting in close with the clinch and doing most of the work but then in a split second it changed Fear landed a solid combo which he then followed up with a strong left hook to knock Farfy Lii to the ground. Fear didn’t hesitate to follow in with killer instinct and force the officials into calling a TKO victory for Fear.

Max “Punisher” Huerta (19-23-0) vs James The Beast (4-3-0)

This was one of the most evenly matched fights on the card with both fighters sharing decent form and each looking to take a victory that will send them on their way to bigger fights inside of FV.

The fight itself was a great contest between the two with both looking to demonstrate their ability on their feet at close quarters. The Beast took and early advantaged landing an elbow from the clinch cutting Huerta open and from then on the first round was The Beasts to control and he targeted the cut of Huerta to the point it must’ve been running through the officials mind to call a stop but Huerta fought through and got to the second round.

It made very little difference though as with 3 minutes gone of the second round the official called a halt to the contest for the doctor to examine the cut to which the doctor called a stop to the contest declaring James The Beast as winner by TKO stoppage due to cut.

Post-fight the Beast got hold of the mic and thanked all the fans for coming out tonight and for the support and love they had shown him not just tonight but during the lead up to the bout in one of the most genuine post-fight interviews the organisation had seen.

Markus “Panic Machine” Askren (4-1-0) vs Lenny Lopez (1-2-0)

Panic Machine went into this fight heavy favourite with the FV fans hoping to see him gain the first finish of the night as he had done in his previous 2 victories in Forbidden Violence.

He wasn’t able to produce another finish against a resilient Lopez but he did dig deep enough and show he has the ability to go the distance (despite dropping the final round) and getting a unanimous decision victory, winning 29:28 on all three judges’ score cards, as well as remaining undefeated in FV.

Jason Glover (4-1-0) vs Quik “Yang” Yin (30-25-1)

The only man on the FV roster to have fought over 50 times and have a positive record accepted a challenge to face a fighter who was half his age. The question on this match was can Glover make a name for himself by beating “Yang Yin” as fans affectionately call Quick Yin.

The answer, despite holding with the 40 year-old veteran for three rounds, was no in what was one of the more uneventful fights of the night with fans urging the official to stand up the combatants more often. Winner by unanimous descision 28:29, 28:29, 28:30 – Quik “yang” Yin.

Mike “Swag” Lie (5-29-1) vs “Stockholm Syndrome” Alberich Svensson (1-2-0)

Not one of the more popular or successful fighters kicked the card off for us against a man the referee to as “Stockholm Syndrome” but the pair did not disappoint taking the fight all the way to the depths of the third round to great applause from the crowd. Despite having 29 losses to his name Lie took used all his “swag” to win over the judge’s decision with a strong third round to edge the decision in his favour to take the win, in what some may be hoping will be a turning point for this young man, who despite his poor record has won 3 of his last 5 fights.

Overall Show Review

Once again another solid card from the fresh organisation out of Las Vegas, Nevada, giving MMA fans more variety and choice. The card tonight saw a significant amount of finishes and several very important outcomes. A particular talking point among fans was the finish to the Macadam Baird fight and how the officials and match makers at FV will respond to his claims post fight that he deserves a title shot.

FV #14 – No Hope – Main Card Preview

Once again the Nevada based organisation, Evil Forbidden Violence, are looking to bring you a stellar show this time in The Parisian @ Las Vegas, NV. With a packed crowd expecting in the 5,000+ venue, FV will have to go some way to top their last event but as always, the card has the potential. Below is a preview of the top match-ups on the card for this Saturday’s event as we look forward to FV’s 14th event, No Hope.

Main Event

"Mr Boogie" Bawit Daba (9-5-1) v Mirko "The Angel Of Death" McCracken (15-7-0)

The main event of the evening is at 265+lbs and is a fight many have been expecting to see since Bawit Daba arrived at the organisation only two weeks ago, with both men looking to impress early on in their FV careers. With both men having positive record but both also coming off the back of defeats in fights that got out of the first round, it should be interesting to see which man has worked harder to find the W this time.

Last time out in FV “The Angel Of Death” fell victim to Adolfo Dias despite managing to take him the full distance of 3 rounds, will there be better fortunes for McCraken this time out? While Daba made his last appearance in MMA loosing late in the 2nd round to a man who may be unfamiliar to FV fans called Zell Griever.

It is likely both men will want to keep this fight on their feet in the striking department as both are known for their prolific striking and their ability to finish a fight at any time. The FV crowd should be in for a real treat, and it is quite possibly a finish, if both fighters pull out all the stops to take victory in this one and progress their careers.

Main Card

“The Dirty Desparado” Dragoslav Stoyanovich (9-4-0) v Doc “I’m your Huckleberry” Holliday (16-13-0)

In what appears to be a very even fight between two great competitors, the good Doctor could be seen to have the edge due to experience as he faces the younger “Dirty Desparado”. This will be Doc’s 5th Forbidden Violence fight with a record of (2-2-0) currently with a loss last time out against Orville Redenbacher, who took the victory by TKO in the first round.

On the other side of this fight we have Dragoslav who is making his FV debut and will be looking to impress, for the best chance of victory most feel that Stoyanovich will have to take it too the ground as that is where these two phenomenal competitors are most even but with all bar one of his nine victories coming from decision or KO will he be reluctant to change his game plan. This fight has all the makings of a full blown but tactical war inside of the octagon and many will be looking greatly forward to it.

Memento Mori (13-6-0) v Cletus “The All American” White (15-13-0)

FV also welcomes debutants Memento Mori and “The All American” Cletus White as these two will collide in an cross-ocean battle as the Brit from Manchester faces the all American wrestler. Both fighters are coming off the back of 2 losses a piece but both have faced tough opposition with losses from Rogerio Mustacho and I.P. Daily respectively.

It seems clear to most that if the fight goes to the ground game Mori will struggle to keep with the White in terms of control and most feel while Mori is fantastic on his feet and at preventing the take-down, his American opposition will or at least should be able to take him down when he needs too. This is a typical striker vs grappler fight and will have the interest of the LV crowd for the entire 3 round duration (or at least that’s what the fans are hoping for!)

"The Last Chute Boxer" Shogun Silva (28-15-0) v Booby “The Hammer” Von Trapp (9-1-0)

The man known as the last chute boxer takes on the up-and-coming fan favourite who his faithful followers have coined him the nickname of “The Hammer” due to his immense strength and toughness. “The Hammer” is going to have a tough time breaking down Shogun as Silva’s experience and skill are on bar with some of the best in the world, but Von Trapp having only tasted defeat once (and that was in a KT) will not want to experience that again.

The general consensus coming out of the Nevada fan base is most expect to see Shogun put a stop to this hot young talent before his momentum really picks up but the main question on most of the fans mind is will the winner of this fight get to go on to face Mark Calloway for the title at 265lbs?

Fights on the undercard;

145 lbs 3 5 Fei Yue v Brian Redban

265 lbs 3 5 Brock Coleman v Prodigy Steel Penn

145 lbs 3 5 Jimmy Brooks v Woody Wood

205 lbs 3 5 Gary Hayes v Paul Zidel

265 lbs 3 5 Kevin Wooten v Rasputin Erasmus

170 lbs 3 5 Gene Anderson v Mante Quilla

As always this FV card will feature our “Of the night” awards as listed below;

FV #14 – No Hope Review

Date: Saturday 5th April @ The Parisian, Las Vegas

Forbidden Violence was at the Parisian in front of 5,200 people (their biggest attendance so far) in Las Vegas. With no title match on this card some were doubtful FV would be able to pull together a strong card but all 5,000+ plus who attended can confirm these doubts were misplaced and once again the FV management has done a great job and put together a promising card.

Main Event

"Mr Boogie" Bawit Daba (9-5-1) v Mirko "The Angel Of Death" McCracken (15-7-0)

This was a main event with great intrigue about it for what some may consider the wrong reasons as neither fighter has won their last couple of fights and both were looking to turn their fortune around after a great start to their careers (despite recent stutters). With recent form, some were worrying for a short lived main event and both fighters would be low on confidence; thankfully those doubters were wrong as the fight proved to be one of the top fights of the card.

It began with a strong start from McCracken who controlled the round nicely as the two combatants kept to their feet with the only change in flow being when Mr Boogie countered with a quick flying knee to the temple of Mirko knocking him down but Mirko held on and regained control shortly after. The second round was more close with both corners seeing their fair share of the action in their favour but the deciding factor of the round was another counter from Daba that cut his dominant opposition open half way through the fight before knocking Mirko down again.

This was it, with the rounds seemingly tied so far, it had come down to the deciding final round with all to fight for and the two men left it all on the line as they threw strike after strike before “The Angel of Death” found his rhythm and was able to regain control of the fight, but with just over a minute to go before the final bell Daba threw one last counter and connected once again with a great flying knee that rocked his opponent leaving McCraken on the mat again as the bell rang. Would that knock-down be enough to swing the round that otherwise Mirko McCraken had controlled? As the announcer read out the scores - “29:28, 29:28, 29:28” - the crowd was in great suspense, “and your winner by unanimous decision Mirko McCraken”.

Main Card

“The Dirty Desperado” Dragoslav Stoyanovich (9-4-0) v Doc “I’m your Huckleberry” Holliday (16-13-0)

Before the phenomenal main event that saw plenty of action the fight before didn’t leave the Las Vegas crowd disappointed either as they got all 3 rounds out of the fight between the experienced Doc and the young, hungry Dragoslav Stoyanovich.

It was clear from the early moments of round one that both men were here to fight and had prepared their all round game excellently as the stand-up striking action was so evenly contested until a quick jab left the good Doc cut. This didn’t faze Holiday at all as he then took the game to the ground with a fantastic take down “The Dirty Desperado” had no answer for and controlling the fight for the remainder of the round looking to finish Stoyanovich with a submission at various points.

The second and third rounds were not too dissimilar as Stoyanovich failed to keep speed with the veteran, as Holiday controlled the fight with “The Dirty Desparado” looking very desperate indeed in some of his submission attempts with only a takedown in the final seconds of the fight having any real conviction but it was far too late. Despite it getting to the third round it was clear to all and no surprise when it was called that Doc Holiday had won by unanimous decision 30:27 but what was of great surprise was the class and clear headedness Dragoslav showed in his post-fight interview saying “Through adversity we triumph. Can't know the glory of success without failure”.

Memento Mori (13-6-0) v Cletus “The All American” White (15-13-0)

The British journeyman vs the All American, the stand-up specialist vs the collegiate wrestler, Memento Mori vs Cletus White. This was the fight that most had come to see, it wasn’t the main event but it sure had that feel to it as all 5,200 of the FV audience was on their feet with anticipation during the introductions cheering both men, hoping for an all-out war – what they got on the other hand was something not many people saw coming.

Both fighters had prepared for this fight and worked on where the other was strongest but it was Mori that came out with his intentions clear – to knock the all-American hero out. And Memnto Mori did just that, with 2mins of the first round gone Mori landed a huge elbow that cut White before following up with a quick combination of shots from within the clinch. From there on out White was clearly asleep on his feet and the referee had to jump between the two men to stop the beating before any permanent damage was done. Mori was extremely deserving of his TKO (strikes) victory over the All American who was clearly disappointed – as were the fans that it didn’t go on longer despite the excellent display by Memento Mori.

"The Last Chute Boxer" Shogun Silva (28-15-0) v Booby “The Hammer” Von Trapp (9-1-0)

This fiht was a real battle of the legendary fan favourite vs the up and coming next big thing, undefeated while inside a cage Bobby Van Trapp is considered a big deal in all part of MMA. Both are great athletes and all-round artists but with Silva’s punching power to stop the knockout Von Trap would have to have a genuine granite chin.

Both fighters really came and brought it all in this fight, standing toe to toe with one and other throughout the whole of the first round, with Silva occasionally edging the striking department through his experience, although it was “The Hammer” who lived up to his name and landed the biggest shot of the round cutting Silva open with a knee to the head. Silva quickly made up for this though in the second round as the experience and just sheer skill told as Silva blocked, countered and landed strike as both competitors threw all they had in the line.

The third round began with the younger up and comer knowing he had to win the round very convincingly or finish it before the final bell as the “Last Chute Boxer” had shown his class thus far but as had been the theme for most of the fight the veteran showed his experience in closing out the fight while still controlling the pace of the action until the final bell. After a much deserved unanimous decision victory for “The Last Chute Boxer” he took a moment to cheekily thank his sponsors (Milwaukee’s Best). Unfortunately for “The Hammer” this was his first MMA loss (other loss was KT bout) but I’m sure we’ll see much more of him here in FV.

“Chinese Zombie” Fei Yue (12-7-0) v Brian Redban (15-8-0)

Both of these fighters were also coming into their first FV bouts when The Chinese Zombie met Montreal based Brian Redban in the 145lbs division. It was a real story of the ground game specialist vs the all-rounder today in The Parisian and that’s just what we got.

In a fight that saw just about everything with good stand-up, clinch work and great ground game – the latter particularly from Yue – the fight had it all and it really got the FV crowd going. Despite the fight going the full three rounds and being relatively even matched and a great spectacle for the audience, Fei Yue showed his class with a great all round performance. Controlling all three rounds no matter whether the fighters were upright or on the ground, cutting his opponent early on with a great right hook and taking him down with consistency and control for the remainder of the fight, it was a very well deserved victory for Fei Yue (Unanimous Decision 30:27). The toll of the battle and energy it took was clear from the lack of both works and breath from the fighters in their post-match interviews with both struggling for words.

Prodigy Steel Penn (2-1-0) vs Brock “The Quarry” Coleman (3-0-0)

Before this fight only one of the combined 6 fights these two fighters have had between them had got out of the first round before the night began so most expected a quick, but highly energetic and entertaining fight between the two. Penn making his debut was still a relative unknown to the FV crowd while “The Quarry” was looking for his second win in Forbidden Violence and to continue his undefeated career.

Penn’s game plan was clear from the start as he shot a take-down straight off catching Coleman unawares. From then on out for the short duration of the bout Penn was searching for the submission and working the extremities before he finally locked on a RNC and Coleman had no choice but to tap, giving Penn the victory by submission after only two and a half mins of the fight. In the 2:21 bout Penn went for a total of 7 submission attempts which left most of the FV crowd wondering, does he know any other way to get the victory but via submission and does that leave him vulnerable against opposition who he can’t get to the ground, I’m sure these are questions only time will be able to tell answers too.

UNDERCARD

Jimmy “baby face” Brookes (5-2-0) vs Woody Wood (1-4-0)

The “Baby Face” Jimmy brooks came into this fight with extreme confidence against an opposition who is lacking in confidence but Woody Wood was getting desperate for a win and will to push himself to the absolute limit to get the victory. With that being said the fans saw this battle as a forgone conclusion writing Wood off before it had even began.

The fans were not far wrong, as Baby Face fan favourite Jimmy Brookes disposed of Woody Wood in just over 1 minute taking the victory by KO when Brookes threw a huge overhand right that connected sweetly with the jaw of Wood leaving him out cold on the mat. Brookes thanked his fans for their support and turning out tonight which brought cheers down upon him post-fight.

Gary "Bones" Hayes (3-1-0) vs "The False Idol" Paul Zidel (3-8-0)

A story of contrasting fortunes over the recent months as Paul Zidel looked to stop a run of 5 straight losses at that and as Gary Hayes tried to add to the three straight wins he came into this bout with. As the fight began it was apparent Zidel was going to be in for a long night with Hayes landing some heavy blows and cutting The False Idol, while Zidel could only clinch to limit the damage. It wasn’t long until Hayes closed the fight off when the officials had to step in as Hayes knocked rapid shots onto a stumbling and defenceless ZIdel. The only questions this bout raised was whether Hayes would claim the victory as TKO or if Zidel was in fact out cold and going down when the referee halted the fight preventing a pure KO victory for the young American.

Kevin Wooten (1-2-0) vs Rasputin Erasmus (pro MMA debut)

A hugely anticipated debut was what this fight was built around as Erasmus has been much plugged by FV and his coaching staff in the lead up to this fight. It was near identical story we’d heard about Kevin Wooten in early February before his first FV fight a couple months earlier before his loss Brock Coleman (who won his bout later that night).

The hype around Rasputin Erasmus was clearly deserved as he put in one hell of a performance (even if it was short lived) as he pilled pressure on busting Wooten open within the opening 15 seconds before knocking him down with a fantastic right hand shot before following his opponent down to finish the fight via referee stoppage TKO in favour of Erasmus. It’ll be interesting to see both how/if Wooten recovers from this battering and if Rasputin can do what Wooten was unable and take this momentum into his next fight.

Gene Anderson (9-12-0) vs “Butters” Mante Quilla (2-2-0)

The opening fight of the night was between two of MMA’s more “industrial” journeymen, as Quebec’s Anderson faced a much younger Spanish wrestler in Mante Quilla. This fight won’t go down as one of the all-time classics between two great combatants but it certainly did the job of waking the crowd up and letting them know they were in for a good deal of action.

This bout went two round in which the superior take down ability of Mante Quilla was clear for all to see as the more experienced Anderson had very few answers for it and once it was on the ground Quilla maintained control well in what seemed to be a text book ground performance as Quilla went on to win by TKO (ground strikes). Quilla’s ground game wasn’t the only thing that impressed the Nevada audience, as he gave them a great thank you for their supporting tell them how they were the greatest crowd in the whole of America – which put smiles of faces all round.

OF THE NIGHT AND YEAR AWARDS - PROVIDED BY HGH Nutrients Q160-Q158 (#1 in the world of nutrition.)

FIGHT OF THE NIGHT (5k) – Shogun Silva vs Booby Von Trapp

KO OF THE NIGHT (5K) – Jimmy Brooks

SUBMISSION OF THE NIGHT (5K) – Prodigy Steel Penn

Overall it was another good night for Forbidden Violence, no matter what issues go on in the background the fighters on the card always put on a top class show and give their all. The card today saw an equal amount of finishes and all out 3 round wars which sent them home satisfied with Silva vs Von Trapp definitely being the highlight of the night fully deserving of the FIGHT OF THE NIGHT AWARD. Forbidden Violence next runs out of Sparta’s Place (12/4/15) for FV#15 – Very Evil which should be a fantastic night and will hopefully takes the momentum from recent cards and deliver the Las Vegas crowds more top bouts.

Forbidden Violence #15, Very Evil preview.

taking place on Saturday 12th April 2014, at Sparta's Palace Arena, Las Vegas.

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1396804835poster%20fv%2015.jpg

265lbs "The Biohazard" Kent Hytten (38-26-1){1-1-0} vs Hug "E" Raction (22-20-0){0-1-0}

Hytten has had 2 previous fights at Forbidden Violence, he comfortably won his debut fight and almost won his second, only just losing out on points to the orgs highest ranking 265lbs fighter. Hytten is a well-rounded fighter with excellent skills in boxing, Muay Thai and wrestling and has a brown belt in BJJ meaning he can pick and choose his strategy on the go and keep his opponent guessing. Out of his 38 wins, two thirds have been by TKO or KO and with a massive 64 fights under his belt, he certainly isn't short of experience.

Raction is nine years younger than Hytten aged 31 but has an equally impressive sill set. He has excellent all round skills but his boxing skills are second to none. He has so far only had one fight for FV and it was looking like a straight forward win. He had knocked his opponent down and had him rocked but just one missed strike saw his opponent counter from nowhere, sending Raction to the canvas. I'm sure he'll be looking for a victory this weekend to put that unusual defeat behind him and what better way to do that than by taking the scalp of Hytten. Although both these fighters could fight on the ground with ease, they both seem to favour stand up. The FV fans will be in for a treat in they decide to slug it out.

My prediction: Hytten by TKO in the 3rd round.

145lbs "Jesse" James Jameson (16-9-0){0-0-0} vs Sau "The Priest" Minneo (13-9-0){0-0-0}

Jameson will be making his debut in front of the FV fans this weekend. Jameson is a great all round fighter with excellent striking and wrestling skills and a purple belt in BJJ making him a very adaptable fighter. With 11 out of his 16 wins being by TKO or KO, it's obvious he has pretty dangerous hands and can always spot a good opportunity to finish the fight. He's currently on a 2fight losing streak but I'm sure with a new contract signed and sealed, he'll be looking to make a fresh start.

Minneo will also be making his debut for FV this weekend. He has a similar level of skill to Jameson, Jameson possibly having a slight edge to his striking skills but Minneo makes up for that with a brown belt compared to Jameson's purple. With 9 of his 13 wins won by submission, he obviously prefers to fight on the ground, though I'm sure he could hold his own in a stand up fight too. Minneo's confidence is pretty high at the moment, his last fight saw him win and break the back of a 3 fight losing streak. He is stepping up from the 135lbs weight class and fighting at 145lbs, with his natural weight being 141lbs, it will be interesting to see whether he is more comfortable without having to cut before each fight. Jameson has only lost by submission once before, so it will be a real test of Minneo's BJJ skills.

My prediction: Minneo by TKO in round 3.

185lbs Abel "Amazing" Speed (22-8-1){1-0-0} vs The Steel Penn Alliance (5-7-0){0-1-0}

Speed's debut fight for FV a couple of weeks ago was his 5th win in a 5 row, this fighter really is a on a roll. This 36 yr old fighter has great stand up skills, a brown belt in BJJ and his wrestling skills are world class. He is more than happy to finish his opponents with his stand up game but I think it could be his wrestling and BJJ skills that might be put to the test with his next opponent.

The Steel Penn Alliance has decent striking ability but with a black belt in BJJ and wrestling skills which are second to none. 3 of his 5 wins came by way of submission. His lost his debut fight a couple of weeks ago but seems determined to try and break into the top 5 contenders of his division. It will be interesting to see if Speed tries to beat him at his own game and fight on the ground or whether he will trust his own defensive skills and use his stand up advantage.

My prediction: Speed by TKO round 2.

205lbs Hildebrabrand Gardiner Wright Blackwood (13-11-0){0-0-0} vs Ambrogoio Ballestrazzi (12-8-0){0-0-0}

Blackwood sets high standards in everything he does, he has world class boxing skills, a black belt in BJJ and not only that.....his name is so long it needs its own zip code. Blackwood recently split from his manager and signed up with his current manager a few weeks ago. They've already had one test fight to see if they have a good working relationship and the first impressions look good.

His next opponent has also just signed with a new manager. Ballestrazzi was on a 3 fight losing streak and decided to part ways with his manager, this will be his first fight with his new management. He has fantastic striking ability and wrestling skills, combined with his brown belt in BJJ should make him a great test for Blackwood, although Ballestrazzi won't be keen to roll over as he'll be looking to make a completely fresh start to his career and turn around his current losing streak. A difficult fight to call as they both have new managers and may decide to use new strategies and tactics.

My prediction: Ballestrazzi by TKO in the second round.

145lbs Thiago "Maos De Pedra" Azevedo (2-2-0){2-1-0} vs Volk "The Viking" Kruth (7-0-0){1-0-0}

Azevedo is only 20 years of age and has spent most of his short career at FV. His lost his debut fight by decision and still maintains that the judges were paid off. He's put that behind him and managed to win his last 2 fights in a row. He has great boxing skill with good defensive wrestling skills and a purple belt in bjj. It looks like he started life as a striker and is making great progress to turn himself into a force to be reckoned with in all aspects of MMA.

His opponent, Kruth is on an amazing 7 fight win streak. He made his debut for FV a few weeks ago and made sure the fans wouldn't forget him in a hurry with a 1st round TKO. He is a wrestler with purple belt in BJJ and capable striking skills. This could be a really interesting matchup between these two fighters. Azevedo will probably look to keep the fight on its feet but he may have a surprise for Kruth if he gets taken down. There’s no doubt that Kruth is the better wrestler but will he be able to fend off Azevedo's submission attempts?

My prediction: I think the momentum of Kruth may be just enough for him to steal the win. Kruth by TKO in the 3rd round.

170lbs "Wizards" Gordon Matthews (6-4-0){2-0-0} vs John "Crazy Train" Wensink (4-3-0){0-0-0}

Matthews has both good wrestling skills and has trained to a high standard of boxing and has a brown belt in BJJ. He's had 2 previous fights for FV winning both of them. His debut only lasted 5 seconds before the ref had to jump in and stop the fight. He clearly has some hidden power in his hands. Wensink will be making his debut this weekend. Things are starting to look up for this 23 year old fighter, he managed to halt a 3 fight win loss with a win last time out and now he has signed a new contract with Forbidden Violence. Wensink has good wrestling skills with a purple belt in BJJ and some decent striking skills but he will walk into the cage with a slight disadvantage to his stand up and BJJ skills. He'll have to have his wits about him to walk home with a win from this fight.

My prediction: Matthews by TKO in the third round.

265+lbs Title Fight Mark " The Undertaker" Callaway(3-3-0){2-1-0} vs Tony "Blood" Lanes (2-1-0){2-0-0}

Next up we have the 265+lbs title fight. These two fighters met almost 1 month ago but fortunately for Callaway, it wasn't for the title. Callaway had to tap out inside the first round to Lanes. Lanes has basic striking and wrestling skills with a brown belt in BJJ, Callaway has slightly better boxing and wrestling skills but only a white belt in BJJ. Going of recent history and the huge advantage of Lanes’ brown belt, I can only see this fight going one way if it goes to the floor. If Callaway can keep this fight standing then he may have a good chance of retaining his title.

My prediction: Lanes by submission in round 2.

265lbs Tommy "Gun" Thompson(2-5-0){1-0-0} vs "Pipebomb" Pete Wallis (2-0-0){0-0-0}

Thompson has had a bit of a shaky start to his career, with 5 losses before he joined FV. He made his FV debut last fight and the fights can't wait for him to step into the cage again. It took him just 14 seconds for him to connect with a perfect hook and turn his opponent’s lights out. Thompson has fairly good boxing skills, some defensive wrestling skills and a blue belt in BJJ and some very obvious power in his right hand. Wallis will be making his debut this weekend. He has had 2 previous fights, both qfc's which he won both very comfortably by TKO and KO. Wallis has a similar skill set to his opponent apart from he has just the basic white belt in BJJ. With both fighters having power in their stand up game, it will be interesting to see if they are prepared to stand up and slug it out to find out which one will walk away victorious.

My prediction: Thompson by TKO in round 2.

170lbs Andy Carroll (5-1-0){0-0-0} vs Julio Ojana (1-0-0){0-0-0}

Two more debut's being made this weekend in the 170lbs division, both fighters with very different styles and backgrounds. First up is Carroll, an out and out boxer with excellent stand up skills and a white belt in BJJ. He has 6 fights so far in his short career, all of them qfc's. He has managed to win an amazing 5 out of 6 fights, and I'm sure a lot of people are waiting to see how he handles the change from qfc to org fights.

His opponent has only had 1 previous fight, also a qfc, which he won by an impressive slam. He has a blue belt in BJJ and is fairly well rounded in the rest of skills, having quite good striking skills and wrestling skills. I think this will probably be a case of Carroll trying to stay on his feet and connecting with a big punch before Ojana can successfully take him down, whilst Ojana will probably either go aggressive and look for an early takedown or play it cautiously and wait for a mistake to make a counter takedown. Either way, he is going to run the risk of running straight into a big punch that could stop him in his tracks.

My prediction: Ojana by TKO in round 2.

145lbs Avery" Little Man" Paul (1-2-0){0-1-0} vs Ricardo "Speedy" Gonzales (3-4-0){1-1-0}

Paul has a blue belt in BJJ with basic boxing skills and good Muay Thai skill. He made his debut last fight but unfortunately got caught out by a better BJJ fighter and had to tap out. He'll be looking to add a win to his record this weekend though and the fans will be hoping he continues to finish his opponents with the flair he used to stop his previous opponent to his debut fight, a glorious KO head kick inside the first round.

Gonzales has great boxing skill with fairly decent Muay Thai and wrestling skills to back that up, he also has a blue belt in BJJ. He won his debut with an impressive knee inside the first round, but unfortunately in his last fight, he faced a much better BJJ fighter and it didn't go so well. These are fairly similar fighters, Paul favouring the Muay Thai style of fighting slightly more, Gonzales preferring to box. It should be a great fight.

My prediction: Gonzales by TKO in the second round.

And that concludes the preview for Forbidden Violence #15.

Andy Carroll 5(5)-1-0

Today, Andy Carroll makes his FV debut against fellow newcomer Julio Ojana. Speaking to the press ahead of this fight, Carroll expressed determination not to miss this chance on making his first impression in front of FV CEO Frank King:

"He is a well rounded guy so he can come at me from anywhere. He has a solid chin so it will be interesting to see how it fares against me but I will make sure that even if I dont KO him, he certainly remembers my fists in the morning. His only previous fight was against a guy who is now 1-7. I dont think that allows me to get a good indication of his true ability, but all I know is that I will not be taken down as easily as him so that will allow me to hopefully get a few more shots away and a few chances to finish it. I havent had a fight go out of the first round but I can say my cardio is fantastic, I feel great physically, and I feel quick enough to get my punches away and strong enough to make them count. Ive adjusted my game plan so I feel like I have given myself a great opportunity to win here but I will still have to perform in the cage if I want to get the win. I see the preview say he will win, I respect the call as anyone can beat anyone with the right tactics, it is up to me to prove him wrong and show I am a serious contender in this division. They say if he takes me down, he will win. I say that if he doesnt take me down, he will lose. You can look at the glass half empty, but I look at his half full. I am confident in myself, and despite maybe not being in tip-top condition both physically and mentally, I still feel like I can win this"

Andy Carroll 6(6)-1-0

We tried to grab an interview with Andy Carroll after his huge KO victory over Julio Ojana. Despite having plenty of questions, we would only grab a small piece regarding his strategy heading into the fight:

"I told you guys, if he couldnt take me down, he was going down by force. He tried 4 takedowns, failed them all. I cut him with my first combo, sized him up and when I saw him go for the head kick, I knew that this was my chance to go in and hit hard. Boom, he drops to the mat. He gets up again, which I have to give him credit for, I thought he would have been out with that, but then I came in and essentially Hendo-Bombed him. Left hook follow up, game over. I told you that I was improving physically and I knew that he wouldnt be able to keep up with me physically. You heard the commentators yourselves say that I was looking in great shape. Its all about going back to the gym now, work on my abilities, see who I fight next and line him up for a C-Bomb. Im hoping that put me in contention for KO of the Night honours but there is some great competition. 6 KO's but I feel the devastation I showed with my hands should definitely put me up there"

FV #15 – Very Evil Review

Date: Saturday 12th April @ Sparta’s Palace, Las Vegas

Forbidden Violence continued its run of weekly events as it looked to once again leave MMA fans of the Nevada area impressed and satisfied with the display in Sparta’s Palace today in front of a capacity crowd of 7,000. A lot of top fights and fan faveroits were booked for this one and the FV fans even had the treat of seeing Mark Calloway attempt to defend his belt @ 265+ against Tony Lanes in a 5 round title fight.

Main Event

“The Biohazard” Kent Hytten (38-16-1) vs Hug “E” Reaction (22-20-0)

The main-event of the evening featured two men who both lost in their last outing at FV #11 but both had very contrasting fights with Hytenn taking it the distance but “E” getting finished in the first min. The matchmakers had chosen to give the fighters the benefit of the doubt and we’ve ended up with this huge fight – one that some fans had been viewing as a possibly looser leaves town scenario.

These two veterans both started the fight with a clear intention of finishing it as both seemed very happy to stand a bang with the whole of the first round being fought on the stand-up. Reaction took control of the fight during the middle of the round and seemed to really control the cage and use the space effectively to land several quick jabs and body shots. The second round followed suit with Reaction still controlling the fight and staying away from Hytten’s clinch to keep his momentum going.

As the third round begin it was clear were the judges would’ve scored the previous two rounds and Hytten knew he had to finish it with Reaction knowing he just had to see out 5 more minutes to claim the victory. It was clear though that the fire had been lit under “The Biohazard” as he delivered a precise spin kick which he followed up with an electric one-two to knock down Reaction. At this point the fans were on their feet going wild as they knew this was a dangerous place for “E” to be in. Hytten went for the kill as Reaction made it too his feet but was unable to defend himself with Hytten landing undefended strike after undefended strike forcing the ref to call a stop to the bout (awarding Hytten the TKO victory) – but not before some real damage had been done. Reaction was so dazed by the onslaught that as the ref broke the combatants up “E” tackled the official down, much to the amusement of the audience.

Main Card

“Jesse” James Jameson (16-9-0) vs Sau “The Priest” Minneo (13-9-0)

A fight between two men who both have great reputations as top wrestlers and both has a solid Muay Thai background. Jameson coming into his prime and Minneo steadily coming towards the end of this had all the makings of a top fight.

Despite both men being great on the ground neither man wanted to take the fight their today and kept it on their feet for their entirety. The fight started out at a steady pace as both men were not afraid to throw down and bang, the first sign that the fight was going to swing was when Jesse dodge a kick from Minneo and proceeded to land a couple of heavy hits , then swipe off a clinch attempt before throwing a couple more heavy hits. It wasn’t long before Jameson really put the crowd on their feet hitting two big jabs, followed by a huge uppercut that left Minneo looking at the lights blankly. With a huge KO victory for Jameson like that he’s put the rest of the 145lbs division on notice and his post-fight speech said just that – while showing great respect for his opponent.

Abel “Amazin” Speed (22-8-1) vs The Steel Penn Alliance (5-7-0)

Both fighters made their Forbidden Violence debuts at FV #12 but both had very contrasting fortunes as Abel “Amazin” Speed got off to a flying start with a great unanimous descision victory to continue his hot streak, while the younger Penn was looking to stop the slide he had been on with only one victory in the last six attempts.

From the start it was the veteran Speed who looked to punish the much younger Penn, as both fighters kept to their feet and tried to land some strikes. Speed had his way with Penn from start to finish of the fight hitting him with several punishing combos and it wasn’t long before Speed closed in for the finish. With only 2 minutes past Speed landed a huge right hook to the temple of Steel Penn and closed in throwing a huge uppercut followed by strike after strike against the cage before the referee jumped in. An ecstatic Abel Speed was announced winner by TKO and was very quick to thank fans both in the arena and at home after the fight.

After the event had finished I had time to catch up with Speed, who again was very happy to thank his fans and was incredibly grateful for the huge support they’ve given him in recent months – particularly after the small loosing stumble he had in 2013. He couldn’t believe how his fortunes had changed and what a great prospect 2014 appeared to be shaping up to be – jokingly adding “maybe this year I’ll making the whole year undefeated, rather than the other way round hey?”

Hildebrand Gardiner Wright Blackwood (13-11-0) vs Ambrogio Ballestrazzi (12-8-0)

Two more Forbidden Violence debutants met in Sparta’s Palace on Saturday as Blackwood faced Ballestrazzi. Both of these fighters returning from prolonged absences with neither one featuring on any organisations cards in the whole of 2014 it was interesting to see who’s “cage rust” would wear off first.

That question appeared to be answered almost immediately as Ballestrazzi controlled the opening of the bout, landing a couple of big hits before taking down Blackwood. Once of the ground Ambrogio appeared to be fully up to speed their aswell as he controlled nicely from the guard landing some solid ground and pound before out of nowhere Ballestrazzi threw a poor uppercut leaving his arm exposed for Blackwood to roll him through and slap on an impeccable “Ronda Rousey-esque” arm-bar. It wasn’t long before the Italian star was tapping to give Blackwood the submission victory and give us one of three submission finishes this evening.

Volk “The Viking” Kruth (7-0-0) vs Thiago "Maos De Pedra" Azevedo (2-2-0)

This was a fight many saw Sweden’s undefeated hero Volk Kruth winning at a canter – especially after his strong performance at FV #11 – but those thinking that were to be in for somewhat of a shock as this fight went the full distance.

The fight began as many expected, “The Viking” landing some heavy shots, keeping Azavedo from getting any real offense going before taking him down to the mat in which Kruth controlled the ground well, moving at will and landing shots when needed to keep busy. It wasn’t until the end of the round until Thiago Azevedo hit any major shots but to little avail.

The second round was near identical, with the exception that towards the end “Maos De Pedra” didn’t land any shots but did come close to locking in a submission before Kruth got back to half-guard. The last round came across and the only question the majority of fans had was, how was Azavedo still in this fight. Despite the added pressure of knowing he had to win the third round to stand a chance of taking the result, Azevedo could do nothing to change the tempo of the fight or take control as Kruth controlled the fight with the only real moment of the fight coming off another take down from Kruth which he followed with some ground and pound rocking “Maos De Pedra” who then just held on to see the fight out. When the final bell rang the fans in Sparta’s Place erupted with a standing ovation for the announced winner Volk Kruth (by unanimous decision 30:27).

John "Crazy Train" Wensink (4-3-0) vs "Wizards" Gordon Matthews (6-4-0)

“Crazy Train” came into this fight the underdog after a recent run of losses, opposed to Matthews who since signing for FV had hit a turn in his career and was looking for his third straight victory. In a combined 10 fights between the two, only once had a fight involving them reached the 3rd round – so the fans hoped they’d be in for an exciting finish.

And the fight had that feel from the very first moment as both fighters went all out landing a couple big hits each, before taking the fight to the ground, where both fighters looked to finish the fight with numerous submission attempts but neither fighter establishing real control. It was Wensink who appeared to have made the breakthrough when he seemed to have Matthews locked in a RNC but Matthews squirmed out, only to be hit with some huge shots to the head – leaving him dazed. The “Crazy Train” showed just how he got that nicknamed as he threw wild shot after shot at a dazed Matthews before the referee jumped between them giving John Wensink the victory (By TKO strikes). Despite being short lived, this fight really kept the fans on their toes and some fans were hoping for a re-match from the moment the winner was announced.

265lbs+ Title Fight

Tony "Blood" Lanes (2-1-0) vs Mark "The Undertaker" Calloway (3-3-0) *CHAMPION*

These two met earlier in the year at FV#11 with the stipulation that if Lanes could beat Calloway then, then he’d receive the next title match – Lanes did just that. So this fight wasn’t only for the belt but also for pride with Calloway knowing he’d have to win this fight convincingly to be taken as a serious champion. Lanes on the other hand wanted to keep his Forbidden Violence record pristine and add the 265lbs title to his collection.

Lane came out strongest of the two fihters in the early going, controlling the cage better and landing a couple of strikes before he hit a bit knee to the temple that cut the champion open, seconds later he followed that with another knee that send Calloway to the ground. Half way through the first round and the champions belt was already in danger of being taken but he managed to hold in until the bell – despite Lanes controlling in every area of the fight.

The second round was no different, with Lanes showing exactly why he deserved this opportunity and was looking to take it. Taking Calloway down immediately Lanes looked to target the head with some ground and pound and once the fight was back to the stand-up it was clear was his aim was. With 1min30secs to go in round 2 the fighters were in the clinch, Calloway looking for a breather, Lanes looking to finish and finish he did, landing one last huge knee as the champion tried to escape the clinch knocking Calloway out cold on the spot. With that a new champion was crowned and from the impressive run in FV so far, I don’t see that streak finishing anytime soon.

UNDERCARD

“Pipebomb” Pete Wallis (2-0-0) vs Tommy “Gun” Thompson (2-5-0)

Pete Wallis had made a bit of a name for himself both inside and outside of the cage fighting in the QCF’s. Coming into this fight he was undefeated in his pro career and the young man wasn’t afraid to let people know it – trash talking all of his opponents into submission. On the other hand “Gun” was struggling greatly before signing for Forbidden Violence but a victory @ FV#11 could’ve been the turning block.

The difference between the two fighters was clear in their entrance as Thompson came in with a near scary level of focus while Wallis’ entrance could’ve been comparable to something out the WWE. It didn’t take long though after the bell before Tommy made his opponents arrogance pay, as soon as the fight had got to the crowd after a moment of seconds Thompson was onto controlling the action and after only a minute he had worked his way into position to lock on a Kimura lock which no fighter of the planet could get out of. In what was one of the quickest Submission Victories I’ve ever seen Thompson really took it to Wallis and dominated him from start to finish. Maybe this will humble the “Pipebomb”, although it may just set him off.

Andy Carroll (5-1-0) vs Julio Ojana (1-0-0)

After spending a while in the QCF’s it was time for Andy Carroll to make an appearance in a bigger organisation and FV bosses were willing to give him a shot, and his first test would be against another debutant – Julio Ojana.

This fight was another short lived bout, finishing after only 2 minutes but in the two minutes of fighter, the fans saw more action and heart from these two youngsters that can sometimes shown in a three round war. Both men came out with 1 intention – finish the opponent at all costs, throwing huge strike after huge strike. It took seconds before the first cut of the fight opened up when Carroll landed three huge strikes, two of them on the cheek of Ojana to bust him open.

As the fans went wild, Carroll went on to dodge a big head kick and throw a counter uppercut that sent Ojana to the mat. As the referee thought about calling it, the fans went wild and Carroll waved Ojana to his feet and Ojana obliged as the fans went ballistic as the action continued. It was only seconds later when Carroll’s right hand found a way through to Ojana that left him out for the count giving the official no choice but to call the KO victory for Carroll.

This fight was a fantastic way to begin the card and really showed off the talent and passion the young fighters here in Forbidden Violence have. This two fighters received not only a huge standing ovation from the 7,000 packing Sparta’s Palace but also – and very deservingly – the fight of the night award. The FV fans will be hoping to see more of these two in the very near future.

Avery "Little Man" Paul (1-2-0) vs Ricardo “Speedy” Gonzales (3-4-0)

The Canadian Avery Paul faced the former Luchador (Mexican pro-wrestler) turned MMA star in the opening bout of the night. For both men the pressure involved in this fight was contrasting as the “little man” had no expectations coming into this bout whereas Ricardo Gonzales was still trying to convince his family that it was the right decision to turn his back on heritage and leave wrestling.

Luckily for Ricardo it was his night, as he came out the block like a rabid dog tearing into Avery Paul, landing strike after strike. The fight was over after only 30 seconds as Paul – showing next to no heart or desire to be in this fight – tapped out against the cage under the barrage of strikes from Gonzales. When the referee pulled the two fighters aside most of the Las Vegas audience hadn’t realized what had happened during this rare turn of events and it wasn’t until it was announced that their winner by Submission (strikes) was Ricardo “Speedy” Gonzales they began to understand. Still this left some fans bewildered that a professional fighter could be tap-out to strikes without a hold but that didn’t bother Gonzales who in his post-fight thanked the fans for the backing they’d given him in his decision to join the MMA world.

Speaking to our reporter regarding his OTN award, Andy Carroll was visibly ecstatic upon hearing the news:

Andy Carroll 6(6)-1-0

"While I am disappointed to have not earned the "KO of The Night" Award, the Fight Of The Night award more than makes up for it. We both went in their to brawl and to leave nothing unsaid and I feel that the audience knew that, which is why they reacted so well to it. I am hoping to earn the KO of the Night award in the future, but it is up to me to keep KO'ing people out to put me in contention for the award."

Forbidden Violence #16 Tip Top preview

to be held on Saturday 19th April at the MMA Grand Arena, Las Vegas.

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1397471924fv15%20po.jpg

265lbs Jayavarman Wongkrachang (13-5-0){1-0-0} vs "Bad Bad" Leroy Brown (33-15-2){0-0-0}

Wongkrachang made his debut for FV in his last fight, his opponent was Kent Hytten. Wongkrachang went the distance but won on points, not a bad way to start your contract for FV and a nice warning shot to the other fighters in his division stating that he is no easy push over. Wongkrachang has superb skills in Muay Thai with great boxing skill, he also has excellent wrestling skill and a black belt in BJJ, making him a very difficult opponent as he has the skills to change his strategy on the move. Brown has exceptional Muay Thai and boxing skills, he is a great wrestler and has a purple belt in BJJ. Wongkrachand looks to have a small advantage if the fight goes to ground. Brown has finished an amazing 30 out of 33 fights by TKO so he definitely has finishing power if he gets the opportunity, but will his wrestling skills be good enough to keep the fight standing?

My prediction: Wongkrachang by TKO in round 2.

205lbs Title Fight Jermaine "The Juggernaut" Barksdale (13-5-0){2-0-0} vs "Quick Popper" Orville Redenbacher (35-11-1){3-0-0}

This has all the ingredients to make for a fantastic Title fight, the fans will be lining up to get tickets to see these two warriors battle it out. Both fighters have similar fighting abilities. Their boxing skills are thought to be among the best in the world, they also have superb Muay Thai skills and brown belts in BJJ. There is quite a difference in experience, Barksdale has had a total of 18 fights in his career, with 9 out of 13 wins coming by TKO's. Redenbacher has had a total of 47 fights, with 27 out of 35 wins coming by TKO, thanks to his dangerous right hand. Redenbacher has had 3 fights since joining Forbidden Violence and as finished all 3 by KO or TKO. Barksadale has had 2 fights, finishing one by TKO and the other by a points finish. I can't wait to see these two fighters enter the cage to fight it out for the 205lbs belt.

My prediction: Redenbacher by TKO in the 3rd round.

265lbs Billy "The Really Good" Roberts (14-2-0){0-0-0} vs Grammund "Lights Out" Rohirrim (9-1-0){0-0-0}

The scout for Forbidden Violence has really come up trumps with these two new fighters making their debuts this weekend. Between them, they have had a total of 26 fights and only lost 3. 10/14 wins for Roberts coming by TKO, and only 2 out of 9 wins going to decision for Rohirrim, impressive stats for both fighters. Roberts has superb boxing skills with a decent amount of Muay Thai training, excellent wrestling skills and a purple belt in BJJ. Rohirrim's boxing and wrestling are of a very high standard but not quite as good as Roberts, but he does have the advantage of a brown belt compared to Roberts' purple. Going from their past history, I don't think this will go the distance and should make these 2 new fighters firm favourites with the FV fans.

My prediction: Rohirrim by TKO in round 3.

185lbs Damien "RDX" Garcia (18-8-0){0-0-0} vs Mark "Mean Streak" Tanner (14-13-0){0-1-0}

Garcia will be stepping in to the cage on Saturday hoping to impress the fans and the org owner, reassuring him that he has made a good decision to sign him up to FV. He's currently on a 2 fight win streak and will probably go all out to make it 3. He has great striking ability, great wrestling and a brown belt in BJJ and he likes to put on a show for the fans, only 2 of his 18 wins have gone to the judges. Tanner has had an unlucky start to his time at FV, his lost by KO to Jase Robertson who's now currently sitting at the top of the division, so there is no real shame in that. He will be eager to prove to his manager and himself that he can be one of the best fighters in the division. He has great striking capabilities and excellent wrestling skills with a black belt in BJJ. He really is an expert when it comes to finishing his opponents by submission, 9 of his 13 wins have seen his opponent having to tap out.

My prediction: Tanner by submission in round 2.

265+lbs "The Blue Eyed Devil" Ethan Clayton (30-13-0){0-0-0} vs "El Matador" Esteban Rodrigo Estiarte (11-6-0){0-0-0}

Two more fighters making their debut fights and another great match up. Both fighters have amazing skills, Estiarte has superb striking skills with excellent wrestling and a brown belt in BJJ. Clayton's ground skills are an even higher standard, he has world class wrestling skills and a black belt in BJJ. Both these fighters haven't had a great run of form lately with both wins and losses scattered on their records over the past few fights but they are both new at Forbidden Violence and looking for a clean start and what better way to do it than a big win in front of the FV fans.

My prediction: Clayton by TKO round 2.

145lbs " The Champ" Daniel Dylan (24-17-0){0-0-0} vs Ray "Hands of Clay" Guida (13-14-2){0-0-0}

Two slighter older fighters next to make their first fight in front of the FV fans on Saturday. Both have very similar skills in that they both have great striking skills and great wrestling skills, both have brown belts in BJJ. On paper, it looks like a perfect match up. Both fighters have had a slightly chequered past with both have a few losses in their recent fights. They both have won by TKO roughly 50% of the time, it really is going to be difficult to call this fight. There is only one real difference between these fighters, Dylan is just 32 years old but Guida is getting close to 40 years old now and his morale is at an all-time low. Could this be all that's needed for Dylan to steal the victory?

My prediction: Dylan by TKO in the second round.

265lbs "The Baby Ericsson" Jimmy Jerekson (1-1-0){0-1-0} vs Hannibal "The Cannibal" Die Ruchsichtslos (32-19-0){1-0-0}

Jerekson made his debut last month in FV#10, unfortunately first fight nerves got the better of him and he ended up losing on points. Jerekson has only had 2 fights in his career, his first being over 1 year ago. He has good striking and wrestling skills with a brown belt in BJJ and feels it's ready to stop training and start fighting, let’s hope he deals with the nerves better and shows the fans what he's really capable of. Ruchsichtslos has slightly better skills than his opponent with world class boxing and Muay Thai skills, superb wrestling skills and a brown belt in BJJ. He has a lot more experience too, a massive 51 fights compared to Jerekson's 2. I doubt nerves will effect this guy, he's spent more time in the cage than he seems more at home inside the cage than he does out of it. I can only see this fight going one way.

My prediction: Ruchsichtslos by TKO in the first round

170lbs "Kid Southern Lights" Rebel Johnson (15-17-0){0-0-0} vs Samak "Zen" Tiyapaira (22-11-00){0-1-0}

Johnson is a submission specialist, with 10 out of his 15 wins have been by submission, and with excellent wrestling skills and a black belt in BJJ is easy to see why he is so good at it. He also has decent boxing skill to defend himself should he be unable to get the takedown. Johnson has been on a pretty good run of form of late, winning 5 out of his last 6 fights, he will be making his first appearance in front of the FV fans this weekend and will hope to reward the fans by executing a perfect submission. Tiyapaira is a great all round fighter, he has good striking abilities, decent wrestling and a purple belt in BJJ. He's also had quite a good run of form, with more wins than losses in his recent fights. 50% of his wins have been by TKO so he clearly has some power in his fists too.

My prediction: Johnson by submission in round 2.

205lbs Kingsley Ciprut (15-10-1){0-0-0}vs Gareth Bale (10-10-0){1-4-0}

Ciprut joins FV from GAMMA where he has spent his last 6 months of his career. He has superb striking skill and wrestling skill with a brown belt in BJJ giving him a lot of options in his fights. He has had quite a successful career so far but he's hoping to really kick-start with a fresh start at Forbidden Violence and at 31 years of age, he's still young enough to climb to the top. Bale joined FV from Gamma also. He has had a terrible run of luck lately, he is currently on a 4 fight losing streak and his morale is suffering because of this. I'm sure if he gets a win this weekend he could turn this terrible run of form around. He certainly has the skills to do it, a black belt in BJJ, superb wrestling and striking capabilities. Some also say that this welsh man has an amazing left foot, I'm sure the fans would pay big money to see it in action.

My prediction: Ciprut by decision.

265+lbs Orochi "God of War" Doppo (1-1-0){1-1-0} vs Jon "Bones" Jones (9-6-0){0-2-0}

Next up we have a young fighter stepping into the cage for the 3rd time in his career and also the 3rd time for Forbidden Violence. Doppo is a striker with great Muay Thai skill and decent boxing ability, he has basic wrestling skill and a white belt in BJJ. He is facing Jones, with good wrestling skill and a purple belt in BJJ, with basic striking skills for defence. Normally I would say the ground fighter is easily going to win this fight as I'm not sure Doppo has the skill to prevent the takedown, however in Jones last 2 fights, he has been KO'd by 2 strikers. I think this fight will be won by whoever strikes first.

My prediction: Jones by submission in the first round

And that concludes the preview for FV#16 Tip Top.

Forbidden Violence FV# 17 Fame preview

to be held on Sat 26th April at Sparta's Palace, Las Vegas.

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1398016811fv%2017%20fame.jpg

205lbs "The Saviour" Philip Negan(11-7-0){0-0-0} vs Jamalski Ramirezovic(21-21-0){4-1-0}

Negan joins Forbidden Violence from TMG (Third Millennium’s Gladiators) which closed down due to a fire, on the 15th March. Negan was their current light heavyweight title holder and had already successfully defended his title once. He is on the back of a 3 fight win streak and morale will be sky high as he has just signed with one of the fastest growing orgs in the business. Negan is a good all round fighter with excellent Muay Thai, wrestling and boxing skill and has a brown belt in bjj. He definitely favours the submissions with 7 of his 11 wins coming from his opponent tapping out but he is by no means a one trick pony.

Ramirezovic has had four fights for FV now with only one loss. His boxing and Muay Thai skills are second to none, he also has amazing wrestling skill and a brown belt in bjj. He seems very happy to stand and bang but is definitely not afraid to if the fight goes to ground. Negan is actually the higher ranked fighter but this could be the toughest fight of his career so far, Ramirezovic one tough opponent.

My prediction: Ramirezovic by decision.

185lbs Eliod "Scooter" Bunkley Lii(16-14-1){2-1-1} vs Kermit "The Frog" Earlandson(16-18-0){1-1-0}

Bunkley has had 4 previous fights for FV and really seems to be finding his feet of late, winning his last two fights and getting 'fight of the night' for one of them and taking home an extra $5k bonus for his efforts. He decent boxing and Muay Thai skills with excellent wrestling and brown belt in bjj. I think there's a good chance he'll need every ounce of his wrestling skill against his next opponent.

Earlandson has slightly better striking ability than Bunkley but has a very small disadvantage in his wrestling skill, on the up side he does have a black belt compared to his opponents brown and he certainly knows how to use it effectively with 16 out of 16 wins coming from submission. It's not all doom and gloom for Bunkley though, in Earlandson's last fight, he faced a brown belt with better wrestling skill and although most of the fight was spent on the ground, the submission eluded him.

My prediction: Earlandson by Submission in round 2.

205lbs Gegard Mousasi(24-9-1){0-0-0} vs "IronMan" Kelvin Garnett(31-21-0){1-1-0}

Mousasi joins FV from GAMMA, where he enjoyed a pretty successful contract, coming away with a record of 8-4-1. He is a terrific all round fighter, he has excellent striking and wrestling skills with a black belt in bjj to top it off. That must be pretty intimidating to any opponent. The crowd can't wait for his debut, rumour has it that he could become a real star in FV.

Garnett seems to be struggling to find his finishing power of late, his last 6 fights have gone the distance. The good news for him is that he has also won 4 of them, so it's probably not something he's overly worried about right now. His striking skills are very similar to Mousasi's, but he has a brown belt instead of a black belt in bjj. It will be interesting to see how this fight turns out, they do have similar skills but Mousasi also has the advantage of being 9 years younger.

My prediction: Mousasi by TKO in round 3.

265lbs Title Fight "Polan" Titus Arellius(15-9-0){0-0-0} vs Freddy Steel(8-2-0){1-0-0}

Next up, a fight for the Heavyweight Title. Two very similar fighters but with two very different careers. First up, Arellius. He will be making his debut for FV this weekend after spending his last fights with NGF. He has excellent striking ability with world class wrestling skills and a brown belt in bjj. 12 out of his 15 wins have come by TKO so he certainly knows how to finish a fight. At the age of 29, he has had 24 fights in his career which brings us nicely on to Freddy Steel. Steel is 3 years older than Arellius but has so far only had 10 professional fights in his career. He also has excellent striking skills and world class wrestling skill with a brown belt in bjj. The fighters really are a perfect match up. I'm sure there will be at least a few fighters in the 265 division keeping a close eye on this fight. It's almost impossible to call, I'll have to go with Steel as he has already fought in FV and we know a little more about the standard of fighter he has faced.

My prediction: Steel by decision.

170lbs Ange "Touchy" Fili(10-3-0){1-0-0} vs Mikio "Flame666" Okita(36-32-0){3-1-0}

Fili made his debut in front of the FV fans last time out and put on a great show, finishing his fight inside the first round. What a great way to make an entrance and I'm sure it will give him a massive boost to his confidence. He is a well-rounded fighter with superb striking and wrestling skill and a blue belt in bjj. He's going to need to call on every bit of his wrestling skill when he faces his next opponent this weekend.

Okita gives up quite an advantage in the striking department, his skills are far from poor though, he has excellent boxing skill but the important bit is yet to come. He has world class wrestling skills and a red belt in bjj. With 19 of his 36 wins coming from submission, it's difficult to guess where Okita is most at home. If this fight goes to the floor, Fili will need to be extremely careful and lucky to walk away with the win.

My prediction: Otika by submission in the 3rd.

185lbs Nyffe "Vekkuli" Pehmytkudos(18-16-0){2-2-0} vs Tangerine Dream(20-6-2){0-1-2}

Pehmytkudos has made four appearances for FV, winning 50% of his fights so far. He has superb wrestling skills with a brown belt in bjj and excellent striking skill, particularly boxing. 16 of his 18 wins have come from TKO or Subs, so not only does he know how to finish his opponent, he's quite happy to mix things up a little when required.

Dream has had 3 fights for FV so far with a terrible run of bad luck since signing his contract. He drew his first fight and has lost his last two. The good news is he has the skills to virtually go up against any opponent and his manager has done a great job of managing his morale. I think just 1 win will turn his run of form around and set him on a winning streak. He has world class striking ability with decent wrestling skill and a purple belt in bjj. He is giving quite a lot away in the wrestling department but if he has the skill to keep the fight standing, he has a good chance of winning.

My prediction: Pehmytkuods by TKO round 2.

170lbs "Mr Mean" Gary Washington(26-20-0){1-0-0} vs "Imperator" Caesar Augustus(14-11-1){0-3-0}

Washington made his debut last month and got off to a good start by winning his first fight at FV. He has excellent all round skills in striking and wrestling with a black belt in bjj. Augustus is still looking for his first win at FV, he joined 3 fights ago but is having a run of bad luck and is currently on a 3 fight losing streak. He has world class wrestling skill and a red belt in bjj with decent striking skill for defence if he can't get the takedown as soon as he'd like. If Augustus can take this fight to the floor, he should have a good advantage, not only is his bjj skill better but his wrestling skill is quite a bit better than his opponents. His morale isn't too bad at the moment but could be better but I wouldn't want to enter the cage taking any chances if it were up to me.

My prediction: Washington by TKO round 3.

265+lbs Paul Brown(10-8-0){0-1-0} vs Ashley Harrington(0-0-0){0-0-0}

Brown made his debut last time out and unfortunately, first night nerves must have got the better of him. He lost in the first round. He'll be looking forward to putting that behind him and showing the crowd what he can really do this weekend. He has superb boxing skill with good wrestling skill seemingly to keep the fight standing, but has the advantage of a brown belt in bjj should things go wrong and the fight goes to the floor. All of his 10 wins have been by TKO or sub. Harrington, at the age of 25 and after many years training is set to make his debut, not only for FV but his first ever professional fight also. He has world class striking ability with excellent wrestling skill and a brown belt in bjj. Some may say it's a risky move by his manager as this fighter is completely untested and has no fight experience, not to mention being pretty difficult to write about.

My prediction: Harrington by TKO round 3.

265lbs Max "Punisher" Huerta(19-24-0){0-1-0} vs Franklin Munchback(6-2-0){0-0-0}

Huerta made his debut for FV last month but is still searching for his first win in front of his new fans. He has decent striking skill and good wrestling skills with a purple belt in bjj. Before his debut, he won his last 3 fights in a row so he will be hoping to return to winning ways this weekend. Munchback will be fighting for the first time in front of FV fans as he makes his first appearance for Forbidden Violence this weekend. He has good striking ability with superb wrestling skill and a brown belt in bjj. If he can take this fight to the floor, he should be able to take advantage of his better ground game and take the win.

My prediction: Munchback by Submission round 2.

265+lbs Master Garcilazo(3-0-0){0-0-0} vs James "Tank " Osty(5-2-0){2-1-0}

Garcilazo will be stepping in to the cage for the first time after signing a new contract with FV. At the age of 37, this will be his first 'professional' fight for an org. He has had 3 qfc fights this year and won them all by submission, incredibly, he won his last fight by a Triple Decker Pecker W....I don't remember what the W stands for but it's pretty rare and amazing anyway! Osty has had 3 fights for FV, losing the first but winning his last 2 fights in a row. He has great boxing ability and decent wrestling skills to try and prevent the takedown and a white belt in bjj. He has some serious power in his hands, knocking his last two opponents clean out. If his wrestling skill is enough to prevent the takedown, then he definitely has the finishing power to stop Garcilazo.

My prediction: Garcilazo by submission in round 2.

And that concludes the preview for FV#17 Fame.

FV #17 – Fame Review

Venue: Sat 26th April @ Sparta’s Palace, Las Vegas, NV.

Forbidden Violence once again rolled out of Sparta’s Palace in LV front of a packed 7,000 MMA blood hungry fans as they expect to see the best card so far from the relatively new promotion. When the title fight on the card isn’t the main event, you know the 4 gentlemen booked in the main event and the co-main event have real quality and the Las Vegas natives were expecting a top draw show.

Main Event

"The Saviour" Philip Negan (11-7-0) vs Jamalski Ramirezovic (21-21-0)

The Main Event saw two very evenly matched men who’s ground game and wrestling ability were evenly matched. The difference came in Negan’s superb boxing and Ramirezovic’s incredible Muay-Thai. The fight began even enough but after just under a minuet Ramirezovic broke the defence of Negan and landed a sharp knee to the head cutting open “The Saviour”.

This would prove to be a real game changed as the main debate will be whether it was the swelling or the blood from the cut that was interfering with Negan’s vision more as Ramirezovic took control of the fight from their seemingly targeting the cut as he landed an elbow and a further knee to the same spot slitting it open further before the end of the round. What had had all the makings of a real even classic had turned into a one sided bloodbath and the fans we left wondering how much longer Negan could go on. The answer was only 1 minuet and 15 seconds as straight off the bat Ramirezovic landed another elbow to Negan temple which busted the cut wide open as the blood flowed like a river. The referee called a halt to the bout to get the doctor to check the cut and doc was clearly having no more of it forbidding Negan to continue on. As it was announced to the fans that Jamlski Ramirezovic was winner by TKO stoppage (cut) the atmosphere had some disappointment but the fans showed huge respect, which was greatly deserved, to Ramirezovic with a standing ovation who thanked them for turning out to watch the show tonight.

Co-Main Event

Eliod "Scooter" Bunkley Lii(16-14-1) vs Kermit "The Frog" Earlandson (16-18-0)

Despite being the co-main event this has all the making of a classic and the fans thought they’d be in for a real treat as Bunkley Lii and “The Frog” met for the first time. “The Frog” had been impressive in his first couple of FV fights with a defeat to the fast rising Abel Speed being the only dent in his record.

And “The Frog” came out strong immediately taking the fight to the ground with an impressive take down and looking straight to a submission that Bukley Lii had to give his all to defend against – which “Scooter” followed up with a counter submission of his own. As “The Frog” went to take control once more after escaping it, Lii created some slight distance and was able to pivot up into an armbar attempt which he got locked on tight and full extended leaving Earlandson with no choice but to tap giving Lii the victory by submission. The crowd who were going mad for the fast paced early technical action fell silent in shock as the witnessed the 54 second defeat of a man who looked so impressive in his debut but quick regained their senses cheering the announcement that Eliod Bunkley Lii had taken the victory.

Main Card

Gegard Mousasi (24-9-1) vs "IronMan" Kelvin Garnett (31-21-0)

These two fighters had a clear agender in their match-up @ FV #17 on Saturday night as both men showed with the clear intention of finish the other man as the lighting fast Mousasi faced “IronMan” Kelvin Garnett. These two men traded blows from the offset with a range of strikes and kicks on display to get the fans going before the main events. The breakthrough came when Mousasi landed a massive headkick to Garnett that seemed to leave the “IronMan” asleep on his feet while he bled from the kick but Garnett held on. A first round finish was on the cards though and Mousasi was happy to oblige as he went for the kill like a shark towards the blood weeping from Garnett’s cut. In a final minuet flurry before the end of the round Mousasi threw another kick and this one also landed flush leaving Kelvin to collapse giving Mousasi a huge KO victory and surely making him a major contender for Jermaine Barksdale’s title in the future.

Heavyweight Title Fight

"Polan" Titus Arellius (15-9-0) vs Freddy Steel (8-2-0)

In this heavyweight title fight for the vacant belt both fighters had impressive records (and recent impressive wins over opposition in other organisations) but Arellius was making his highly anticipated debut. Meanwhile Steel was looking to pick up where he left off against in his impressive win against Jamal Tinsley. Which fighter would deal best under the pressure cooker that had become this title match and would either fighter fold.

The answer to that question was a decisive “NO!” as these two warriors took the fight the full distance, as it went down to the judges decision on the victor before they announced Titus Arelius as champion on his debut – despite a stellar outing from Steel once again.

The fight itself fully deserved the Fight of the Night award it picked up as these two men left it all out in the cage in this full out war, whether stood up or on the ground. Steel took the early advantage in the fight cutting “Polan” open with a beautifully executed kick but it wasn’t long before Titus came back into it dropping the combatants to the ground with some well-timed takedowns and then eventually cutting Steel himself. That was the continued theme of the fight with Titus controlling the ground and Steel edging the stand-up but it wasn’t quite enough for the Atlanta native as Titus took the win by unanimous decision 29:26.

Undercard

Ange "Touchy" Fili (10-3-0) vs Mikio "Flame666" Okita(36-32-0)

Okita, who many fans have begun calling the devil in carnate due to his Flame666 gimmick, is 3-1 in FV and has been very impressive each time out, while Fili is a more recent addition to the FV roster, he did win his debut in solid fashion. It was no wonder why the fans were so hyped for this fight.

And although it was relatively short lived, the bout did not disappoint the Palace’s audience as both fighters began the fight with the intention to finish it. That’s just what happened towards the end of the first round when Okita continued to dominate the round with several series of combination strikes – which left Fili rocked. Okita then capitalised by pouncing at his opponent throwing bombs against a defenceless opponent against the cage getting the TKO (strikes) victory. Despite the referee jumping in to call a stoppage to the contest serious damage had already been done and some fans may question whether the result was really a KO rather than a TKO and did Okita really have to follow up and throw such vicious punches against a clearly lifeless opponent. Mikio Okita showing just why he is seen as the Devil with his actions Saturday night.

Nyffe "Vekkuli" Pehmytkudos (18-16-0) vs Tangerine Dream (20-6-2)

Dream was coming into this fight yet to score a win in 3 fights since his arrival, while the inconsistent Pehmytkudos was looking to make that 4 and get some moment rolling for himself. This bout will be seen as the most lacklustre fight of the night as the majority of the first round saw little action and seemed like an overlong, overextended feeling out process. It wasn’t until the final 30 seconds of the fight did we really see any high intensity action - minus Nyffe scoring a takedown mid round, only for the combatants to be stood up seconds later for lack of activity. With 30 seconds left and his corner urging him on Dream went for it, laying it all on the line, throwing strike after strike and connecting with most of them. With just 5 seconds left in the round Dream landed a jab that opened the guard of Pehmytkudos for a huge right straight which left “Vekkuli” out for the count on the mat. The bell rang and the fans were not sure whether it was to signal the end of the round or the fight. The ring announcer consulted the official, as Vekkuli’s corner did their best to wake their fighter up in case it continued but it was ruled Dream had won by KO to give him his first FV victory in the very last second of the 4th round. Dream thanked his fans for sticking by him through the tough losses and seemed genuinely emotional post-fight.

"Mr Mean" Gary Washington (26-20-0) vs "Imperator" Caesar Augustus (14-11-1)

“Mr Mean” vs “Imperator”, the Yank vs the Italian, the all-rounder vs the wrestler. Washington must’ve been hoping his superior striking would give him the edge in this one but his ground game would be heavily tested if Caesar Augustus managed to take him down as the BJJ Red Belt’s game plan would be clear but he was yet to pull it off in FV since arriving 3 fights ago.

From start to finish of the fight Augustus controlled “Mr Mean” – who looked more like “Mr I-haven’t-got-a-hope-in-hell-of-stopping-this-guy’s-takedown” tonight, with Caesar landing the take down in the first minuet and controlling the remainder or the round, unlucky not to get a submission but still managing to wear his opponent down and Washington a small cut from a series of shots. The second round was identical with Augustus getting the takedown immediate of the bell and eventually locking in a fantastic arm-triangle on a rocked and worn out Gary Washington to take the submission victory in what had become one of the most predictable rounds of any FV card we’ve seen but the fans showed great appreciation for the technical ground clinic Caesar had displayed during the two rounds with a standing ovation once again.

Paul Brown (10-8-0) vs Ashley Harrington (0-0-0)

This bout had all the makings of a quick finish with all of Brown’s 18 fights bar 1 finishing in the first and Harrington making his debut after several impressive amateur showings but this was not the case. To the surprise of all watching this fight was one of only two on the card that went the full distance and while it may not have been the show stealer the title match later in the night was it was a great fight in its own right.

It was expected that Harrington would come out happy to stand but looking to take the more experienced Brown to the ground and that is what he did to huge success except for the a end of the second round were Brown found a burst of energy to attempt a bunch of submission combinations which Harrington fended off to take to a final 3rd round. Going into the third Brown knew this was a must win round and the pressure clearly showed as sloppy mistakes led to easy take downs for Harrington who showed fantastic cage control during his debut to take the victory by unanimous decision, which left many wondering the potential of this young man.

Max "Punisher" Huerta (19-24-0) vs Franklin Munchback (6-2-0)

Typical Veteran on his was to retirement vs young-hot rookie looking to make a name for himself and send him their early feel to this fight but in the first round this is exactly what we got. While Munchback had more energy and was more active – the experience of Huerta counter greatly as he survived several heavy blows from Munchback before returning a few of his own and despite being cut open a couple times the veteran stayed strong and looked to control the cage. As the first round ended it was interesting to overhear the corner of Munchback having to calm their fight slightly as they prepared for the long hall as Huerta showed no signs of going down the first round no matter what pressure they put on him but Munchback had clearly not been listening. The second round began with a bang as Munchbackwent straight for the kill and got it, landing a swift head kick which reverberated around the Palace as Huerta went down and didn’t get back up. As it was being announced Munchback had won by KO, the respect shown between the two combatants was clear as they shook hands post-fight.

Master Garcilazo (3-0-0) vs James "Tank" Osty (5-2-0)

Master Garcilazo was a fresh faced undefeated rookie straight off the QCF circuit before tonight while Osty had just found his feet in FV landing two victories in the last 3 fights for the organisation. And it was Osty who opened the fight with more energy taking control of the first round which had little action but both fighters performed consistently, in and out of the clinch. Garcilazo’s resolve was tested as he suffered an early cut but this only seemed to spur the rookie on and when – in the second round – he finally got the fight to the ground where he had wanted it all fight, the FV fans knew just how this fight was going to finish and the Master didn’t disappoint locking in a solid armbar to take the victory tonight submission to hold to his undefeated record. Welcome to Forbidden Violence Master Garcilazo – we look forward to seeing more of you!

Forbidden Violence - Midweek #1 preview

to take place on Wednesday 30th April at The Underground, Las Vegas.

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1398702066FV%20MIDWEEK%20POSTER.png

Welcome to the first midweek event, as FV continues to grow and gather momentum, it will now be holding regular Midweek events to keep the fans and fighters happy.

185lbs Macadam Baird(10-4-0){3-1-0} vs "The Lion of Matema" Barak Simengwa(11-9-0){0-0-0}

This looks like it could be the ultimate display of BJJ and wrestling, both fighters have fantastic wrestling, Baird has a black belt in BJJ whilst Simengwa has a formidable red belt. Luckily for Baird his wrestling skills are slightly better so that should hopefully even things up for him. Both fighters are capable strikers but obviously both fighters at more at home on the ground where this fight will probably take place, Simengwa is a real submission specialist, with 10 out of his 11 wins coming from making his opponent tap out. Baird is also capable of getting submissions but seems to prefer the ground and pound approach more. I will be interesting to see if Simengwa can sub his opponent before Baird can start dropping hammer fists and finish the fight.

My prediction: Baird by TKO round 3.

145lbs Lester Green(19-12-1){0-0-0}vs "Chinese Zombie" Fei Yue(13-7-0){1-0-0}

Two more great fighters about to square off against each other. Both fighters are the proud owners of black belts in BJJ and both are well rounded fighters with excellent striking ability. Green has fantastic wrestling skill while Yue's are slightly better still, having world class grappling skill. Yue made his debut for FV in his last fight and has already chalked up his first victory, Green is about to make his debut and will be hoping to do the same thing but he will have a tough opponent who'd really like to score his second win in front of the fans.

My prediction: Yue just might have the edge here, Yue by TKO in round 2.

265lbs Izya "Grizzley" Haimovich(5-3-0){3-1-0} vs Nick "McGregor" The Highlight(4-2-0){1-0-0}

Haimovich had previously made 3 appearances for FV and had 3 wins in the bag, that was until he met Highlight. Highlight, on his debut for FV, stopped Haimovich's win streak in its tracks by making him tap out in the first round. They obviously have unfinished business as they step in the cage once again to sort it out once and for all. Haimovich is a wrestler with a blue belt in BJJ and basic striking skills, Highlight is a submission artist with a purple belt in BJJ and decent grappling skill. This fight will most certainly go to the floor and then it will be a case of seeing if the wrestler really can come out on top before Highlight pounces and makes him tap out again.

My prediction: Highlight by Submission in round 1.

265+lbs "Hit Hard" Tyson Drones(32-22-1){2-0-0} vs Nick Foles(3-0-0){1-0-0}

Drones has had 54 fights compared to Foles's 3 but that won't be enough to intimidate Foles. In his debut last fight, he was pitched against a more experienced fighter with better BJJ skill but that didn't stop him taking his victory after signing his contract with FV. Drones great striking skills with decent wrestling skill and a brown belt in BJJ. He is not going to have an easy fight of it though as Foles is the better fighter on paper in all but BJJ. Foles has excellent stand up skills backed up with excellent grappling skill and a purple belt in BJJ. Also Drones will be entering the cage with lower morale, that could just make the difference in this fight.

My prediction: Foles by TKO in round 2.

145lbs Omar Jackson(14-11-0){0-3-0} vs Brian Redman(15-9-0){0-1-0}

Jackson has had a bad run of luck in his recent fights and finds himself on a 3 fight losing streak. He has the skills to turn it around with great boxing skill, great wrestling technique and a brown belt in BJJ. He will be going against a slightly better rounded fighter but he will have a slight advantage in some disciplines. Redman has great striking ability and wrestling skill and also has a brown belt in BJJ. Redman is also suffering from terrible morale and with the opponents being so closely matched, it could really hurt his chances and be just the opportunity Jackson is looking for to turn his current form around. Redman is also having a bad time lately and is on a 4 fight losing streak. These two fighters will be going all out to take the victory.

My prediction: Jackson by decision

205lbs "Nasty" Nicolas De Ertu(9-9-0){2-2-0} vs Johan Farfy Lii(4-2-0){1-10}

This looks to be a fight between two wrestlers who like to by way of GnP. They are both blue belts in BJJ but Farfy has superior grappling skill whilst Ertu has quite a large advantage when it comes to striking skill. Booth fighters have had chequered starts to their time at FV, with both fighters getting early victories but losing their last few fights. It will be interesting to see if Ertu has the skill or inclination to try and keep the fight standing and use his boxing advantage.

My prediction: Farfy by TKO round 3.

265lbs Brock "The Quarry" Coleman(3-1-0){1-1-0} vs Rasputin Erasmus(1-0-0){1-0-0}

Two young fighters coming up next. Coleman is slightly more experienced at 20 years of age and having 4 fights under his belt. He has fantastic wrestling skill and a blue belt in BJJ. Erasmus is one year younger at just 19 years of age and has only had one professional fight so far which was a victory on his debut for FV, a dream start for him. Erasmus is a talented boxer with mediocre wrestling skill. If he has the skill to defend against Coleman’s takedowns, he certainly has the power to finish the fight given the chance.

My prediction: Coleman by TKO round 1.

170lbs "Butters" Mante Quilla(3-2-0){1-0-0} vs Bentley "Corbin" Tessin(8-3-0){1-0-0}

Next up are two wrestlers with similar skills. Both have excellent wrestling skill and purple belts in BJJ. Quilla does have the edge slightly in that his wrestling skills are to a slightly higher standard but they still walk in to the cage fairly evenly matched, on paper at least. Tessin is slightly more experienced, having 11 fights compared to Quilla's 5. Both fighters made their debuts last time out and both were successful. This should be a great battle as neither fighter will want to give up their FV winning streak.

My prediction: Quilla by decision.

170lbs "Sticky" Herb Green(6-4-0){0-0-0} vs Rafeik Hollis(0-1-0){0-0-0}

Green has an intimidating red belt in BJJ coupled with great wrestling skill and some basic striking ability, Hollis looks to be equally comfortable on the ground with excellent grappling technique and a brown belt in BJJ but has the added bonus of having great boxing skills. It will be difficult to try and guess what Hollis's game plan is going to be as he has only had 1 qfc so far in his career which was approximately 18 months ago now. He looks like he might have the defensive skill to keep the fight standing if he chooses to and maybe just bide his time and drop Green with a big right hand if the opportunity should arise, or he could even go to ground in an attempt to show the world just how good his ground skills really are.

My prediction: Green has the experience, Hollis might have the skill. Hollis by TKO in round 2.

185lbs Jason "El McGlovin" Glover(4-2-0){0-1-0} vs Quik "Yang" Yin(32-25-1){2-0-0}

Glover made his debut last time out and lost to Yin by decision. After rumours that the judges took a back hander, he decided to take Yin back to the cage to prove that he is the better fighter. Both fighters have a similar skill set, with good striking ability, good wrestling technique and purple belts in BJJ. It was a close decision for the judges last time, with Yin scoring more takedowns than Glover and Yin just content to lay and pray, Glover, although in a worse position was at least trying to win the fight, throwing some punches when he had the chance and trying to land some ground and pound. Unfortunately, Yin was just too strong and Glover couldn't get into a better position to do anything about it. No wonder Glover is so furious and wanting a rematch, it's bad enough for a fighter to have to deal with a debut loss but to have it stolen by a lay and pray artist must really take the biscuit. It looks like Yin could be having problems of some sort as his morale is at an all-time low. This could be just the opportunity Glover needs to bury his opponent.

My prediction: Glover by TKO round 3.
