  1. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/25/25w9.jpg Reporters from Kick-Puncher.com caught up with the #1 Contender to the FV Middleweight Championship, Jase Robertson, outside his home gym of The HILITE Fighting Club in Los Angeles, CA. The fearsome striker had just finished a session of vicious boxing sparring with GAMMA welterweight Mic Hael and undefeated KT prospect in the WCSA, Thiago Almeida. He agreed to answer a few questions as he unwrapped his hands and packed his gear into a black duffel bag. KP.com: Jase, you're known as a stand up fighter but many believe that the champion is a better striker than you are. How does that change your game plan going into a title fight? Jase: Why would it change anything? This is why I love trading leather, man. It doesn't always matter who's technically better or perceived to be better, it matters who lands the first big shot, and I'm REALLY good at landing big shots. Just ask the last three guys that I've faced. KP.com: So you're predicting to knock out the champion? Jase: Why wouldn't I? When I win, it's by putting people to sleep, and I'm planning on winning. You do the math. KP.com: What happens if he catches you? Jase: Then he catches me. Occupational hazard. I don't plan on letting that happen, though. He's been knocked out before, and by guys who hit a lot softer than I do. That belt is mine.
  2. Hey everyone, I'm looking to get 3 months VIP from someone, ideally for 325k but I might be able to go a little higher if necessary. Please get in touch with me in game if you'd like to work something out, thanks!
  3. Hey guys, I'm looking to get two different fighters signed in (preferably) L.A. or Vegas orgs. Mic Hael (110454) 170 lbs. 17-9-1 High level all-around fighter, aging but still performing well and has won 4 out of his last 6 against top level opponents. Rickson Bravo (208202) 170 lbs. 5-4 High level submission fighter, looks to finish and isn't afraid to stand and trade either. Had a rough start to his career, but is starting to shape up a bit now.
  4. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/9/9w3.jpg Recently removed from his fifth career submission, a first round Rear Naked Choke that moved him to 6-1 as a professional, Kira Kato spoke to the media through an interpreter about his last booking against Hugh Jackman. "I was insulted. I was insulted that they thought I wouldn't be able to take down and submit a blue belt. I said 'he is not an elite boxer, he will not be able to hit me before I choke him'. I am a black belt. I am very good. I will prove it every time they doubt me and put me against someone that is not the champion." He was then asked whether he was truly ready for a fighter like Gab Showman, the 155 lbs champion. "Maybe, maybe not. Let me test myself and find out. I promise I will not let him off easily, and I will put him in more danger than he would know how to handle. I would finish him."
  5. Jase Robertson (152967) Hey guys, I picked this guy up off the free agent list and his contract expired a couple of days later. I'm looking to move him to a new home, and would prefer to keep him in L.A. if possible since I'd like to have him available in my gym as a sparring partner as often as possible. I'm open to any offers, though, so if you need a kick boxing 185'er on your roster get in touch with me. Thanks!
  6. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/9/9w3.jpg ASSOCIATED PRESS: After the first setback of his professional career, Kira Kato has returned to his winning ways and lifted his career record to 5-1 with 4 submissions. The latest came Saturday night at "SFC: Dawn of the Caged" when he submitted Deb The Machine at 2:48 of the second round with a painful looking kimura. After the fight, Kato spoke to the press through a translator: "Deb has good jiu-jitsu. I respect him and his brown belt, sincerely. However, I have just as much respect for my brown belt and felt I could beat him on the mat. My coaches and I decided to allow him to take me down. I didn't want to risk getting hit with a lucky punch, and so allowed him to take dominant position in exchange for allowing more time to work him over on the ground." While Deb made Kira work in the grappling department, it was clear that the eldest Kato brother was simply in a different class. He was 12-17 in transitions, including several nice sweeps. he was also 13-18 in blocking Debs transitions. It's believed that after this performance, Kira will be awarded his blackbelt within the coming weeks. His legendary red belt father, Kenji Kato, is currently in Los Angeles to work with his three sons at the HILITE Fighting Club. The black belt could be awarded any day while he's in town.
  7. http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/23/23w9.jpg ASSOCIATED PRESS: "What'd I tell you, O'Connor? First round, via murder." Those were the simple sentiments uttered by Gabriel Cain, just moments after leaving the cage triumphantly having put Larry O'Connor out 2:06 into the very first round on Saturday Night. "Murder" is an appropriate term as Cain stuffed 5 takedown attempts and was never hit, while landing 12/12 on single strikes, and finishing 2/4 combinations. In the end it proved a counter shot to the body after an O'Conner shot that dropped Larry and opened him for the (T)KO. Gabriel Cain was reached in a text message on his way back to Los Angeles to get back in the gym. HEY GABRIEL, WHEN ARE YOU LOOKING TO FIGHT AGAIN? ANY OPPONENTS IN MIND? SEND ME A STRIKER, SFC, LET ME BANG BRO!
  8. Alright, I guess I'll go again? http://www.screendaily.com/pictures/636xAny/3/2/9/1140329_50_50.jpg
  9. Agreed, one of my unsung favorites. AMAZING cast, too.
  10. I know it's not my turn, but I'm posting anyways to keep the game going. Aaaaaaaaaand go! http://images3.alphacoders.com/136/13645.jpg
  11. Dana White was asked about an interim belt (I think at the pre-167 scrum?) and he flat out said "no, we're not doing that". I think with the drama they've gone through with Cruz they'll be pretty hesitant about handing out interim titles. On top of that, Pettis is developing a reputation as being injury prone, and bringing in an interim strap reinforces that and validates a lot of the haters' opinion that he's a glass champion. If they just let the contenders weed each other out until next summer, they think they'll have a clearly established challenger and then a bunch of guys coming off losses and a "fresh start" within the division as it were.
  12. That's absolutely correct. Every referee and judge has to apply through each athletic commission that they wish to work for, and then apply to work any fights or events they'd like to and the commission places them as they see fit. The continued employment and use of judges and referees that range from questionable to incompetent is completely at the individual commissions discretion, and in the case of Nevada, Keith Kizer.
  13. Not crazy about the fight. I think it'll be a good one, but if Henderson wins (which he very well could, and in my opinion probably will) it kills Thompson off as a top contender and Henderson will still be a few wins away from title contention. Like is mentioned above, Melendez and Grant are both waiting, but Pettis is expected to miss 7-8 months from what I've heard... one or both of them are going to take a fight, possibly against each other which kills off another contender. There's a lot of talent in the 155 division, of course, but there aren't a lot of people primed for title contention and I don't love the idea of shortening that list too much in the meantime.
  14. Also, for what it's worth, his name is Tyron... not Tyrone.
  15. Woodley is a beast, no doubt. With the UFC preferring to book winners vs. winners, and often pitting fighters from the same cards against each other it's not out of the realm of possibility that we see Woodley/Lawler next. That would be one HELL of a fight. That gives you a decent contender to have in line with the Condit/Brown winner, and you'll have Lombard in the wings to take the Ellenberger/Saffedine winner as well. As for Koschek, I think he'll take another fight. He's lost 3 in a row, but he hasn't looked horrible and he's a personal favorite of Danas. If he loses that fight, he'll retire and move on to coaching for AKA or the Fresno team he started, or both. Just my opinions of course.
  16. http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/39/39w10.jpg "Excuse me, I'm wondering if you can direct me to the men of the BFC... no, you must have misheard me, I asked to speak to the men... You must be kidding... Yes, I see the muscles they're so proudly flexing and posturing with, but I assure you a steroid laced vagina is still a vagina nonetheless, and these? These are vaginas of cavernous proportions, gaping maws of labial integrity. I remain unimpressed, but alas have more pressing business to concern myself with." "Ladies of the BFC roster, my name is Mic Hael. You'll recognize me from your wet dreams, and as your soon-to-be Welterweight champion. I'm sure Dirk Pitt will disagree, but his opinion is irrelevant. What he thinks now is not nearly as important as what he'll think when he wakes up on the canvas, blinking up at the lights and wondering what the hell just happened while the referee proclaims me the victor." "He'll be thinking 'Wow, this guy's for real'."
  17. No lie, man, that's the exact name that I had in my head while imagining this ridiculous scenario... did we just become best friends?
  18. POST A NEW PICTURE, FATBACK! I WANT TO PLAY!
  19. Quoted for fuckin' truth.
  20. http://cdn1.sbnation.com/assets/3483263/image001_medium.jpg Joey Beltran at Bellator 108. Yet again, Rampage takes over the main event while a title bout (Alexander Schlemenko and Doug Marshall) gets bumped down to the co-main. Wow. What a clusterf@ck Bellator is descending into. Stuff like this, and Rampage getting "Executive Producer" credits on all of Bellators new shows and specials is eerily reminiscent to Fedor in M-1 and the "co-promoting" that he wanted to do in the UFC. What are the odds guys like Rampage and Tito, who were brought in to be the "saviors", end up killing this company?
  21. So gangster that it makes gangster things look less gangster. Well done.
  22. Love that game, ha ha. I actually opened my copy up a couple of days ago to mess around with it after not having time for several months. Obviously, I have my own license, but I'd totally encourage anyone who enjoys that type of game to take it off your hands. It has the "James Raven Seal of Approval" which is pretty much useless.
