  1. I was doing my guys training schedual for the week yesterday and I'm ussually doing this with 2 windows open. One assistant page and one gym page open. I ussually check my assistant first to see what I can pop and what I need to work on and then I change it in the gym pages. But this got me thinking, especially now that you can see the class sizes in the popup where you change what you want to train. Now how AWESOME would it be to be able to do that in the assistant page? right were you see what your guy is training? just make those clickable with the info from the gym as it is with class sizes and add an update button. Then I could do all my changes with just the assistant page and not need to open the gym page aswell. I get an easy overlay over what I need to train and also see maintenance.... I see everything!

  4. If by being an insufferable wanker, you mean somebody who isn't a thin-skinned little bitch like yourself, then probably. Go defend some fighters from bashing. They need your help.

  5. My proposal is that a new manager should be able to do a QFC fight in a special tier reserved solely for them. This fight should occur on the same day as signup, not result in any energy losses, and not show up on your record. Basically, new managers get one quick and free shot at trying out the fight engine before diving into the proper game. No energy losses is important because it'd be really annoying to sign up for a game and find out that you can't do any training until a week from now.

  6. That should work too. Will encourage newer managers who perhaps see stocking a gym with elite coaches as too scary.

  7. And I don't think you know what that difference is. This is a heavy-handed bitch move, pure and simple. Can I say my local politicians are a bunch of dumb fucks, or would that get me banned in your little chat room too?

  8. Banned for fighter bashing? This makes the list of the "Top Ten Gayest Things I've Ever Heard" We can pay their salaries but we can't say anything negative? Get a grip. It's not like Brock Lesnar is trolling the forum here gettig his feelings hurt because we all think his standup is terrible.

  9. It would take waaaaaaaaay too long to load the page, I'm afraid. Potentially 15 gyms' info could take about 10 seconds to load every time you wanted to view the assistant, when most of the time you wouldn't even be changing the training.

  13. I've been wanting to do this and worked on some of the details: ---------------------------------------- Gym would be run at a 1 fighter/1 Sparbot ratio. Since the fees off this would not be enough to cover the gyms costs, people would be required to pay an additional $1000 for each fighter/sparbot they bring in, coming to a $2,200 weekly cost. I currently have 8 coaches(2 triple elites) and would hire the other 4 as needed. 3 Single Elite(MT + 2CT) = $8,250/week 7 Double Elite(various) = $35,000/week 2 Triple Elites(Clinch) = $14,500/week ------------------------------------ $57,750/week in coach fees + ~$600 cleaning/week --------------------------------- ~58,350 total cost + equipment change costs. 30 Fighters = $18,000 30 Sparbots = $18,000 +$1000/per combo*30= $30,000 --------------------------- $66,000 total income 30 sparbots / 4 skills = 7 sparbots per skill 7 FPS / 2(am/pm session) = 3 sparbots per session 30 fighters / 2(for am/pm session) = 15 fighters 15 fighters / 12 coaches = 1.25 fighter per coach ratio?! While the cost is high, I'm paying roughly $2500-3000/week per fighter, for my 13 fighters to train in my 8 coach private gym. $2,200 for 12 coaches at a 1.25 FPC ratio PLUS sparring every session....I'd jump on this in a second if I didnt own my gym. There are then two questions: 1. Am I wrong w/ my calculations? Price too high? too low? bad math skills? 2. How come there arent more of these gyms and/or where do I find you interested managers at?! But you says Hey Pico! I dont have a sparbot to enter and I'm sad! Uncle Pico says well maybe just a FEW pay-only spots for people without bots, BUT making those spots cost $3000(more?) per week to discourage using them unless someone was crazy with their money. I hate traveling my fighters, I like other orgs outside of Rio but hate having to fly. That org would be so worth it that I'd pay $3000/week for ONE fighter to get great training and not have to fly, myself. But you says Hey Pico! The stars are important for sparbots now days! Uncle Pico says well maybe we would run a 2 price scheme. Sparbots are required to be 4 stars in the skill they'll train, BUT if you bring in a 5 star bot in the skill you'll train you get $200 off your costs a week bringing you to $2000/week?! As a gym owner, I'd be willing to let my own funds get dwindled w/ lack of money so I could get top notch sparring every session. This all would be rather easy to facilitate now with Manager-Manager Fund Transfers implemented. If you're transferring under $5000, you don't get taxed anything. The reset timer would be 30 days which would correspond to a gym-month. Theoretically, that would be $4,000/month by manager-manager transfer unless they brought in multiples which would receive a slight tax. Money would be paid like rent, for the upcoming month. This way, the gym doesnt lose out of money when people skip out/go afk and dont pay and the money can easily be transferred back to the manager at no tax if they want out of their "month" early or equipment replace $$ if someone goes AWOL. --------------- So with that all said...............Whatcha all think?

  14. So how about making it so that if you reach a certain level of hype, your quality minimums increase? Hype Value 0-75 = 130Q - 137Q 75-120 = 137Q - 145Q 120-180 = 145Q - 157Q 180+ = 157Q - 165Q Fighters that use products within their hype range should receive the maximum boost to whatever supplement they're currently using. If 0 to 75 = 100% then 130Q to 137Q = 100%. Thus if Hype = 37.5 (50%), then they will get the maximum boost if they use a 133Q or 134Q supplement. They can use a 145Q supplement, but the gains won't be as great because they wouldn't be within range. The further out of range you go, the smaller boost you will receive and if it's too distant, you might even see a negative return. Something like that lol. These figures are just examples. They were just used to show the idea. Apologies if this has been suggested prior to, but I didn't really run through the whole thread. Just thought of it and decided to throw in my two cents.

  15. Fighter: Orlando Noriega Weight: Ascension Heavy Weight Champion Interview by Dinoooo Some people have things handed to them, some people have to earn there shot, Orlando Noriega didn't just earn his shot, he took it with both hands. The man that says very few words and does his talking in the cage took a short time out of his after party to have a few drinks and let us know a little bit about him, we quickly found out that he can understand english but he can't speak it. Reporter - So how did you get into MMA? Noriega - De onde eu venho você luta. Você se levantar por si mesmo e lutar todos os dias. O ginásio foi a minha fuga da vida no Peru. (Where I come from you fight. You stand up for yourself and fight every day. The gym was my escape from life in Peru.) Reporter - So im guessing life for you was tough growing up? Noriega - Poderia de sido pior. Você compará-lo com os americanos e você pode dizer que foi difícil, mas que é apenas a vida no Peru. Lá você está acostumado a ele. Você começa em coisas, você faz as coisas, e merda acontece. Apenas a vida. Ele continua e eu não perca a vida que deixei para trás no Peru. (It could of been worse. You compare it with Americans and you can say it was tough but that is just life in Peru. Down there you are used to it. You get into things, you do things, and shit happens. Just life. It goes on and I do not miss the life I left behind in Peru.) Reporter - Good to hear good to hear, so in a recent convo with Golden Glory's manager he said that if you win another fight maybe you and Glory could throw down at the end of the year big event what do you think of that? Noriega - A luta com o Golden Glory seria divertido. Você me pagar dinheiro suficiente eu vou lutar contra qualquer homem neste planeta. Vou testar seu queixo e seu coração. Você já viu o medo nos olhos um homem quando ele bate em você com seu melhor tiro e você continuar vindo para a frente? (A fight with Golden Glory would be fun. You pay me enough money I will fight any man on this planet. I will test his chin and his heart. Have you ever seen the fear in a mans eyes when he hits you with his best shot and you keep coming forward?) Reporter - No... Noriega - Você pode ver o olhar em seus olhos que lhe diz que eles estão com medo. Eu cheirava o medo de um homem na gaiola. (You can see the look in their eyes that tells you they are afraid. I have smelled the fear of a man in the cage.) Reporter - Really? What did it smell like? Noriega - Merda (Shit.) Reporter Laughs Noriega - Por que você está rindo? Algo engraçado sobre mim (Why are you laughing? Something funny about me?) Reporter - No no i would never offend you like that Noriega - Você está tentando causar problemas comigo? (are you trying to cause problems with me?) reporter - No of course not.... I would never... Noriega - Bom. Porque eu gosto de você e não quero ter que te machucar. (Good because I like you and wouldn't want to have to hurt you) reporter- i think i was two seconds away from finding out what your first opponent felt like Noriega - Agora você sabe que não há nada engraçado sobre um homem cagando-se (good now you know there is nothing funny about a man shitting himself) reporter - so a fighter actually shit himself when you two were fighting? Noriega - Si. (yes) *both of them laugh and order another drink* Reporter - So whats next for you in your fighting career, ofcourse you want that shot at Glory but who do you see as your next opponent. Noriega - Vou assumir qualquer adversário e aceitar qualquer luta. Eu só quero ser pago para que eu possa aposentar-se e apoiar meus filhos e resto da minha família. (I will take on any opponent and accept any fight. I just want to be paid so I can retire and support my kids and rest of my family.) Reporter - Well iv been told it will be the winner of Holyshit and Brown, out of them both who would you like to take on. Noriega - Eu não sou seletivo com quem vou lutar. Vou lutar os dois na mesma noite e Golden Glory no estacionamento se eu era pago para fazer isso. (I am not selective with whom I will fight. I will fight both of them in the same night and Golden Glory in the parking lot if I was paid to do so. ) Reporter - It's nice to meet a fighter with a lot of respect for his fellow MMA fighters im guessing your not one for the trash talking anymore? Noriega - Eu deixei meu punho fala por mim. Eu tenho bastante respeito a qualquer lutador que passos na gaiola comigo. Se eles são desrespeitosos fora da gaiola eu vou matá-los. (I let my fist talk for me. I have enough respect to any fighter who steps in the cage with me. If they are disrespectful outside of the cage I will kill them.) Reporter - I don't think you can say that, you will kill them? Figuretively speaking? Orlando - Não, eles vão desaparecer. (No they will disappear) Reporter - Well thanks for the bio Orlando, im really happy to see you doing well and wish you all the luck in the future. Noriega - *best Arnold Swartzanager impression for a Peruvian Drug lorg* Asta lavista bab

  17. There should be a quiz to see if one has read the wiki/FAQ before one gets posting privileges on the forums. The quiz should mainly consist of this question: Are you aware that fighters sometimes get hurt in the process of winning (see Emelianenko, Fedor)? I swear this topic comes up so often, we could probably use it like some sort of internet windmill and power the servers with it.

  18. GOLDEN GLORY YOU ABSOLUTELY SUCK! NEXT WEEKEND, ANYPLACE. YOU LOSE, YOU RETIRE GLORY. TORRES LOSES- I WILL RETIRE TORRES AND LEAVE THE FORUMS- FOREVER.
    1 point
  19. So instead of retiring them, you would get the option to stick them into coach slots? Kind of like coaches in high school or college who have retired but want to pass on their knowledge, right? If that's the case, in addition to this, how about a "Create a Coach" option and players would have to pay money to send them to training (2 weeks for lower levels that gradually increase length of training as their knowledge increases). Like Competent coaches would get sent to training for 3 weeks and when they return, they'll be Respectable in their coaching style. Or they could start coaching with their knowledge right out of the gate. They could become sparring partners or something along those lines. Of course, money would play a part in this but in this world (and in the real world), that's just how it goes. Like the mentor system, there should be certain requirements you must achieve before you are allowed to create coaches or use the coach slots. Example: Been a part of MMATycoon for at least a year, has 3 fighters with 20-30 fights each, a fighter that reached age 30. Something along those lines. I, personally, really enjoy this idea and hope that it gets expanded to a certain degree so it is suitable for the game. Of course there will be cons but there's pros and cons with everything. This would really bring a whole new level to the game and maybe open up more gyms with lower level training (for lower level fighters looking for the most out of their training). +1 to this.

  20. you miss interprit my intensions , i did say , it would be hard to bring in , but why should people be able to hire triple elites? it doesnt happen in real life , and if you had to go shopping for coaches off other managers it makes the game more. this was a suggestion that i thought would make the game more realistic and should have been done on the outset. looking at it , you could go about it like this , say for instance a fighter retires and has kod 12 fighters and has sensational boxing , he should be better than an on a shelf elite boxing coach because he has know how? it would take a while for the on the shelf elites to disapear but they would eventualy , would you want a coach that has just came out of coach 101 boxing school , or a ex fighter who has kod 12 fighters in his career. my suggestion was meant to make the game more of a sim for gym owners rather than i got money so im going to open a 12 fighter elite gym with 12 elite coaches? do you not see that? agreed money will come into it , but alliances will play a massive part as well , and i know mike wants to promote alliances , those who band togehter sort of thing. all i am asking you to is consider it for a momment ? i am a gym owner myself and have been for the last three years and i consider my gym to be in the top five in the game , but i am suggesting this? it doesnt do me no favours but it would be a massive addition to the game and possibly change the whole game dynamics. just consider it before you think of yourself and think of the game in the longrun

  22. I wouldnt say HWP has too much real top talent. Look at the guys Boxer has been fighting. Not to mention that many aren't even real HWs. Guys like Boxer, Activin and Hytten got trounced out of big orgs and AA is just finding ways to get them hype. Minus Jacky's guy Id say any of the top guys in Syn, Nexus or EUFC would romp through the rest of the division. Nothing against those managers, but there is some manufactured talent there.

  23. just give them a fight against an NPC with all primaries at woeful, and all secondaries and physicals at feeble. (and below-average hiddens). an NPC with a build like that would prob lose at least 75-85% of their fights, even against a shitty build.

  24. great idea, you should create a thread for this. as for this thread, i think a new weight division should be added some time in the future when membership increases.

  25. You know..... this does bring up a good point.... I like this idea just fine ,,, if it wasn't for the obvious point of it would thin out an already thin division overall but ... what if we added monetary incentive upon creation .... much akin to the boost in startup money based on where you create your fighter.... a simple ratio... i.e 400 extra for creating a fighter in the weight class with the least amount.of fighters. 300 for the second smallest.... 200 for the third.... etc... that i think in time would help balance the divsions,,,,, and lead to an idea like this being a better option than it CURRENTLY IS

  28. Ladies and gentlemen, after 3 rounds of action, we go to the scorecards for a decision. Judge Timothy Bukovac scores the fight for Jake Young! Judge Suge Night scores the fight for Jake Young! Judge Frank Antenori scores the fight for Jake Young! Jake Young wins by unanimous decision! ***Jake Young raises his arms in victory and has a very slight smile on his face. As Young's corner and trainers celebrate and pose for a few pictures with Jake, Ascension's Simeon Morgan awaits for his time with the victorious fighter.*** Simeon Morgan: Jake Young, congratulations on the victory here tonight. Jake Young: Yeah, thanks a lot Simeon. I'm very happy to walk out of here with a win tonight. Simeon Morgan: You seemed to control most aspects of the fight tonight against a very tough and difficult opponent in Samir Reyes. Did your gameplan go as expected, or did Reyes surprise you with anything? Jake Young: You know, I watched a lot of tape on Reyes coming into this fight and knew he would come out swinging. Let's be honest, that guy can hit and has ended several fights with his power, so we wanted to use my reach and try and keep him off balance with low kicks and lean on him in the clinch. He really didn't surprise me at all, he can hit hard and I did my best to avoid as many of them as possible. Simeon Morgan: There was a moment in the fight, during the 2nd round, where you seemed to hurt Reyes with a head kick, but it didn't seem like you capitalized on the opportunity. Did you feel he was hurt there? Reyes misses with a right hand and Young counters with a head kick. That will keep Reyes thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h211/soyster89/rocked2.gif Reyes is rocked! Jake Young: You know, I was really careful not to get too carried away there. Reyes is a great fighter, and I just didn't feel he was that hurt. The kick connected pretty well, but I didn't feel he was really hurt - I actually felt it was an opportunity for me to get careless, and that's been our key recently - avoid being careless and be a more methodical and intelligent fighter. Simeon Morgan: The rumors are rampant that you've called out Dakota Royer, the current Acsension welterweight champion. We can put the rumors to rest - right here, right now - if you're truly interested in facing the champion. Do you want Royer? ***Young chuckles softly and looks to the sky*** Jake Young: I haven't called anyone out. I really leave that to my management team and Skinny Vince to work out. That being said, would I like the opportunity to face Royer, absolutely. Is it something that it of the utmost importance to me, absolutely not. I have a lot of work to do and I don't get carried away with visions of grandeur. I'm confident that it I keep doing the right things, and keep training as well as I have been, my time will come. Simeon Morgan: Well, I can tell you that many fans and the MMA community have weighed in and I think it's nearly unanimous that it's the fight people want to see. Jake Young: Well maybe they know what's best... Simeon Morgan: Jake Young ladies and gentlemen... ***Young lifts his arms in victory and turns to exit the cage***

  30. It is also an idea without much of a framework or coherence in here. Mike is suggesting fighters be added as an augmentation to add new features to gyms in addition to the coaching system we already have. If the OP is going to suggest a major sweeping change to the game at least post something more than a page of stream of consciousness word spew that we have to wade through to pick out even the germ of an idea. You just stated his *entire* improvement suggestion in one sentence of 18 words when it took the OP two posts and 686 words to actually articulate those two concepts. It needs a metric ton more fleshing out than that one sentence can do though. The example I posted is a good starting place: We would either have to : A. Force every existing gym to fire all the coaches they paid for so that the computer coaches who are all Elite in at least one discipline (mostly at least two) would not simply be retained because they are better than the 99.9% of retired fighters (especially after tickers came in). OR B. Contrive a very elaborate system wherein retired players coaches are some how better at teaching skills than that Triple Elite computer coach I already have. OR C. Let the player coaches be less skilled but make them free of charge if they are yours. Note that this would simply lower the bar to entry to the Private gym club and make it so that even fewer public gyms are available. I could go on and on. The Improvement as stated (and I am using that term very liberally here) by the OP is the merest ghost of an idea with holes so large that a semi could slide through them sideways. I love radical suggestions but for the love of god at least take as much time to compose your ideas as it does to read through the post for the rest of us.

  31. I clipped all but the bits that are important. So what you are saying is: You want to do away with being able to hire computer coaches at all from here on out and only be able to hire player coaches. You also somehow think that someone with say a Triple Elite computer coach already hired would for some reason want to replace them with a player coach who stands exactly zero chance of being Triple Elite (not a single Triple Elite fighter in the Game to my knowledge, but feel free to post one if you have one or know of one). Ergo... Somewhere you are positing a change that would make a player coach of a given level say... Elite Bx/Sens MT/Excep WR *better* than a computer coach which is Elite x 3 in all those same disciplines. Not saying this can't be done, just making a plea for a ton more clarity and concrete thought in your suggestions. Fewer words and shorter thoughts would likely serve you well.

  35. I've been browsing the forums... reading people bitch about the new engine.. tickers... blah blah blah.. I for the record am cool with the changes... However it got me to thinking... What could be better about the fight engine... I don't think I wanna change the sliders (hell I'm STILL TRYING TO FIGURE THEM OUT) But the idea of a prefight "peptalk" struck me. what I mean is like in a real fight... A fighter's coach (manager) before the fight will give him a pep talk... a quick rehash of the gameplan... pointers... whatever...and I'm thinking.. couldn't we utilize this concept on the sliders page... in the form of check boxes... Kinda like the allow opponent takedowns/allow clinch.. There'd have to be several to make it interesting ...like 10-12... the more the merrier(sp?). Say you can check 1 box going into a fight.. For examples... 1) Try something fancy (ala Anderson's front kick on vitor) Obvious risk reward thing here 2) Give Confidence boost (remind your guy how GOOD he is) 3) Try and let it go the distance (sure you can TRY to do this with sliders too) 4) Be wary of Clinch/takedowns/ punches/ kicks etc. 5) Point out weakness (tell your guy about opponents susceptibility to leg kicks 6) Try not to get hurt 7) Show off ( maybe a hype or popularity boost if win) 8) Make it quick! (yes you can go crazy aggro, but maybe if you select this,, your guy gives it his ALL first swing) 9) Head movement ! (maybe slight boost to Striking D) 10) Utilize your Speed/strength/agility/balance/flex 11) You better not Quit! (maybe small boost to heart) Well that's a few I can think of... Perhaps this idea could be for the Active players... Maybe only selectable on fight day (mike says he likes to reward the active players... And maybe some boxes only have an effect for the first move... or the first minute of the round.... Maybe... It shows up on the fight real.. above the tale of the tape... Something like Coming up we have a middleweight bout between Stoyan Marinov and You Owned.. Marinov's corner was heard telling him YOU BETTER NOT QUIT! as he entered the cage. You Owned looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight! You Owned's corner is still yelling "Try something Fancy!" I dunno if it should be shown... but it could be.... on of those slight strategy give aways after it's already to late... and when you read your fight your like "Shit, dudes gonna come out with a flying knee... AWW God Damn it! it worked!" anyway those are my thoughts and my pennies.. feel free to minus one me now

  37. You have the germ of an idea here but I think you would do well top pull back on the rambling a bit and put it down in a focused manner because right now you are essentially just suggesting: You can hire your own players or pimp them out! Which is fine but how exactly does that mitigate the problem you started out discussing (in bold above)? So I could hire a Triple Elite Clinch coach or have a player coach who is what... Maybe Single Elite? If I have money I am still going with the Triple Elite faceless dude. If I don't have money I could go with my own guy I suppose but not sure what the gain would be over hiring a coach...? Do I not have to pay my guys? If so, you will just see even more private gym popping up as you have simply lowered the financial bar to entry by the cost of 5 free coaches. Or are you suggesting that we can *only* hire ex-players? In that case the rich will really dominate like never before because the retired fighter supply will be far tighter at the top end and will be dominated by bids from the folks with cash (leading us back to the bold part of you statement)

  38. I think that would be cool, but I don't see a lot of people struggling to make weight, so I don't know if it would actually add any incentive for gym owners. It would be cool as far as just an added thing to the game, though. You probably have better data, since I'm just going by what I've seen. By the way, I believe the overwhelming majority of us still love this game and think you have been doing a great job with it. Not everyone always agrees on changes, and some people will complain about anything, but don't let negativity get you down too much. A lot of the happy players don't voice opinions all that much, so it might give you the impression that EVERYBODY is upset.

  39. Kronix - I initially mentioned the struggling to make weight but I changed my thought process so that it would be any sort of weight cutting requiring a sauna. So if you are walking around at 207lbs and fight at 205lbs, you cut 2lbs in a sauna (in either your gym or a local public gym). I understand what you're saying about the goal not being to make money but this will bring in more money to public gyms and that's a good thing, whether it makes anyone swap from a private to a public gym or not. Now in terms of fighter finances, I'm currently programming something so that fighters want a level of financial security. Basically I'm ranking their wealth, then calculating where their finances should be considering their number of fights, ranking, peak rank and age. If they don't have as much money as they should do, they'll be unhappy about it (morale). This will be part of determining what housing they'd like to live in, once housing comes in and will mean that people shouldn't just spend all their money on training and it will become more of a balancing act.

  40. Get rid of 1 or 2 cities. The user base has been on a constant decline for years....I think this would be beneficial in many ways. I also think retaining the same number of cities will only be detrimental to the future of the game, considering it's growth period is long gone What say you? Do you enjoy a city in which there are more Organizations than Gyms? Where you have to wait 3 days for supplements because your city has none? I'm just thinking in terms of strengthening and uniting the members we do have instead of continuing on the diluted path

  43. I dunno, why don't you try? Is being an insufferable wanker a requirement for joining The Black Hand?

  44. That's cute. Seriously, you're fucking adorable. I'm not defending anyone. Fighter bashing is fucking stupid and the main reason I think it should be a bannable offense is that I honestly think crybabies like you should be put in cages and fed nothing but cow shit. You waltz in crying about freedom and excessive moderation because you're a self-entitled little bitch. You fail to distinguish between disliking asshole behavior and white knighting, probably because you're a colossal asshole yourself. Can't you spend your mid-life crisis driving a Harley and joining a rock band instead of acting like a ridiculous, self-indulgent manchild about your internet rights?

  45. if you create housing for fighters it should Reflect real world prices. ex. A House cost 2.5 mil in real life that is what it would cost in the game to own a House.

  46. it was my understanding that after 7 fights most fighters usually have gained enough to reach the experienced hidden level. and it is not entirely circumstantial i remember when i was a noob and looking through the answers to noob questions and i saw that normally after 7 fights, the majority of in game fihts have gained enough experience to show up as a hidden. the only thin that could be incorrect about my statement would be that i made an assumption that he would fall into the majority of fighters category.
