As fate would have it, none of these fights would materialize due to a series of predictable circumstances. Obelix De Gaul did what the French do best and tapped out. Jean Pierre Garcon threw his name in the mix but Puno was 2-0 vs him and beating him a 3rd time would do nothing for his legacy. Bryant seemed like a logical superfight but was too busy chasing the canned food he was being fed at GAMMA. He was 13-7 when he signed with the Mentor-lead organization, and he's undefeated against GAMMA level talent, his only loss coming to a Convicted fighter from Syn' who proved to be in a different league. Bryant put on a pathetic display vs Gymer Alexandersson, hugging his leg for dear life for 5 consecutive rounds in a decision loss and put on one of the most boring displays of mixed martial arts in Heavyweight history in his defeat. Puno gave a hard look at Monte Zuma, the #4 HW sporting a 15-6 record that just upset Obelix De Gual in a SHW title fight. ODG was French. Him tapping out and surrendering the victory to his opponent was something that runs thick in his genetics and ancestry, and despite it being the first official submission loss on his record, it was long overdue. Puno wanted to challenge himself. He wants to prove to the world that he's the best Mixed Martial Artist on the planet. He's laid waste to many high-level strikers on his run to the #1 headband, but he hasn't faced any high level submission specialist. It became clear that Monte Zuma, a black belt under Ramiro Hamilton, posed the biggest challenge from a technical standpoint. Is it the fight everybody wants to see? No. Is it the lightning meet fireworks meet dynamite stand & bang fest the crowd loves to see? No. Does anybody know who Monte Zuma is? No. But it is a true Mixed Martial Arts fight vs an opponent with a very different dynamic and technical threat than Puno's previous opponents. Puno hasn't faced a high level grappler in an MMA fight since CFC when he took on Samir Lemaitre, but Puno, confident in his own ground game, doesn't feel threatened by his next opponents high level BJJ or the fact he submitted ODG. I didn't see a thread about this but I noticed that the org my fighters were signed to went inactive and is now for sale. If anyone owning a 310k ID org wants to expand and really make something out of their org I would suggest buying this org and merging it with their own. I think it is a good org and would hate to see it go to waste if nobody buys it.

Dutch Series of Fighting 2 Preview Under Card: Cole Mccullough v Rizky Nanda Mccullough is a pure ground fighter who will to take to this to the ground as soon as the fight starts. And since Nanda has no wrestling skill, he won’t have any trouble doing so. Nanda has a purple belt in BJJ, so it won’t be a breeze for Mccullough, but he has the advantage there too because he holds a brown belt. Nanda is said to have a granite chin, but in his only fight he was TKO’d in 5 seconds. The only way I see Nanda winning is if he somehow gets a knockout before Mccullough has a chance to try a takedown. Prediction: Cole Mccullough – Submission (Armbar) – Round 1 Romeo Rosenthal v Jish Bratch Rosenthal will look to keep the fight standing and get a first round knockout. Bratch will look to get the fight to the ground as soon as possible to get some ground and pound in. Neither has fought before, so I don’t know if Rosenthal’s defensive wrestling will be good enough to stop Bratch from taking it to the ground. I am going to guess that it is and that he scores an early round finish. Prediction: Romeo Rosenthal – KO (Punch) – Round 1 Rodrick Shull v Harg Grater Shull is a boxer and wrestler who may have some BJJ skill, but not enough to get a blue belt. Grater is skilled in Muay Thai and wrestling. They will both look to keep the fight standing, but Shull might look to change levels and control the fight for a couple minutes on the ground to try to win a round. Both are coming in for the debut both are broke. I am sure they will look to join a gym after this fight. Prediction: Harg Grater – TKO (Punches) – Round 2 Jefferson Walter v Muffin Wonder These fighters are equals in every facet which leads this fight to be a complete tossup. Whichever fighter’s manager sets the sliders better will have a victory under his belt unless one has a particularly weak chin. And since the Super Heavyweight division is being disbanded, this fight really doesn’t mean much. Prediction – Muffin Wonder – Decision (Unanimous) Main Card: Rico Wooten v Jc Dickens This is another one of those battles between a sprawl n’ brawl fighter and a wrestler. I think the wrestler will come out on top with better wrestling and BJJ. If Wooten can keep it standing long enough he should be able to secure a KO or TKO victory. Wooten does have some BJJ skill, so he might be able to last a couple minutes on the ground with Dickens. Prediction: Jc Dickens – TKO (Strikes) – Round 2 Eduardo “The Handler” David v “Scottish” Dougal McCraken At first glance, this looks like the perfect fight for young McCraken, but on closer inspection, David is a multi-faceted fighter that will probably look to take this fight to the ground. In Eduardo David’s first fight, he showed he could survive on the ground against someone with a blue belt and finished his opponent on the feet. In his second fight, he showed he could take the fight to the ground and dominate there, finishing his opponent in just 40 seconds. Dougal McCraken is an unproven kickboxer who will need to keep this fight standing to win, but I don’t think he will be able to. Prediction: Eduardo David – TKO (Strikes) – Round 1 Tap “The Boss” Out v Dre Battle The Boss is a BJJ artist with a little bit of wrestling to help him get the fight to the ground. He will be trying to get this fight there. In his first fight, he tried to get it there, but it was actually his opponent who decided to change levels, that got him into position for the submission victory. Battle will be using his Muay Thai and wrestling, which he has visibly improved since joining the DSOF roster, to keep this fight standing and score the KO victory. I think Battle’s improving wrestling will be too much for The Boss to overcome and this fight won’t ever go to the ground only leaving one possible outcome. Prediction: Dre Battle – KO (Punch) – Round 1 Troy “Downtown” Brown v Ed Rackham This fight has a five year age disparity, but I don’t think it is completely impossible for Rackham to pull out the victory. His best chance will be to take it into the clinch, control the fight with his far superior wrestling, and get a few punches in their every once in a while. Though, this might not work, because Brown has shown his power in the clinch with a TKO finish due to a knee and some punches. Downtown will be looking to score damage wherever this fight goes; boxing in the standup; Muay Thai in the Clinch; BJJ on the ground. Unless Ed Rackham’s manager is really good at setting sliders, I have Troy “Downtown” Brown taking the victory home. Prediction: Troy Brown – TKO (Strikes) – Round 1 Co-Main Event: Ryat Hamza v Peter Flax This fight will definitely be going to the ground right at the beginning. If Hamza doesn’t get the takedown right away, Flax is going to dish out some damage with his boxing skills. Once this fight gets to the ground, it is hard to say what will happen. I would guess that Flax has better BJJ, but Hamza also has much superior wrestling and ground n’ pound skills. In Hamza’s first and only fight, he took it to the ground got a couple shots in and submitted his opponent in just under two minutes. If Flax doesn’t get the submission from the bottom quickly, I think Hamza will get into a dominant position and control the action. Since, in my mind, this is a tossup, I will say Hamza will pull out the victory due to a little bit of experience in the cage. Prediction: Ryat Hamza – TKO (Strikes) – Round 1 Main Event: Don “Dones” Davy Jones v Samuel “Black Magic’ Kahebwa Davy Jones obviously has the experience advantage, winning a 16 man QFC tournament. Dones will be looking to keep this fight standing with his slightly superior wrestling and secure the victory with his heavy hands. Kahebwa will look to do the exact opposite and take this fight to the ground. Black Magic might try to close the distance and look for a takedown from the clinch. If he does get to the ground, and I don’t think he will, the fight won’t last very long. I think the experienced American will get his fifth win in this fight. Unfortunately i have had to reduce the numbers and i'm sorry to announce to the newer guys but the vets and established managers have been given preference to enhance the quality of this tournament. I dont want to argue with you of course because ir really dont care but as I said all physicals help in stand up as you can see in Wiki it says tha training Punches will also increase your Balance a little so its a part of stand up skill you need. Of course others could be more important like Agility and Strength but it's good to have balanced fighter. And yes the bigger the class the slower you will train just it will not depend on how old you are.
