  1. Sorry it took so long lol Budokai Tenkaichi Round 2 Event Review http://mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1523559619budoff7.png Fighter records are from before this round. Bout order is bracket order. http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/27/27b5.jpg http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/15/15w21.jpg Welterweight Division Tenkaichi Quarter-Finals Match 1 James Cole (2-0-0, 1-0-0 BFF) vs. Kotoya Hamasaki (1-0-0, 1-0-0 BFF) The first match of the Quarter-Finals lasted less than half a minute, as sprawl-n-brawl Wrestle-Boxer James Cole faced off against Japanese grappler Kotoya Hamasaki. In the first round of the tournament, Cole was matched with another grappler in Ricky Yaa and the fight was one-sided from the bell. Cole battered Yaa left and right before electing to clinch with his opponent, a move which saw him then pull guard and quickly search for submissions - catching Yaa in a tight armbar soon after. By this point Cole had proven he could do it all, and his fight with Hamasaki was one to look forward to. Kotoya has an equally successful start in the tournament as he dominated the expert Boxer Shang Chi, who was leaving behind his larger gloves for those of 4 ounces tfor the first time. The Tokyo-native instantly took his opponent down with ease, slicing through Chang's attempts of defense before taking his back and choking him into near unconsciousness. These great performances had fans all over the country invested in this match up, and April 14th we finally got to see it. The first punch was thrown by New Yorker Cole, a beauty of a right hand which sliced open the cheek of Hamasaki. This was a sign of things to come. With little to no skills related to striking Hamasaki had no choice but to go for the takedown, the first attempt stopped by a straight right by Cole. The next attempt was thwarted as easily as the first. The third too. By this point Hamasaki was finding himself on the recieving end of nasty counter-shots, after each of his takedowns were being denied with ease. The fifth and final attempt to get the fight to the mat was opposed with a heinous right hand shot that not many men would survive, ending the fight. James Cole was victorious and earned a spot in the Semi-Finals. http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/43/43w18.jpg http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/24/24b2.jpg Welterweight Division Tenkaichi Quarter-Finals Match 2 Langered "Shebang" Hatchet (1-1-0, 1-0 BFF) vs. Lee "The God Fist" Sin (1-0-0, 1-0-0 BFF) The second match of the Quarter-Finals was between two extremely different fighters as slick Irish Boxer Langered Hatchet was matched up against Lee Sin, another pure grappler from the Land of the Rising Sun. Despite losing on his MMA debut, Hatchet earned a spot in the tournament due to his impressive Boxing career and saw some of this success replicated in the opening round. His opponent was Julio Regueiro, a seasoned Muay Thai fighter with a granite chin. This meant nothing to "Shebang" however, as he smashed the Spaniard in just over 30 seconds, finishing him with a devastating combo. Self-proclaimed "The God Fist" had a more difficult first fight as he took on the counter-fighting Wrestle-Boxer Erik Pedersen. For two whole minutes Lee Sin pressed forward throwing sloppy head-shots at his opponent, missing each one whilst eating counters. It was then the tides turned, as Sin managed to get the fight to ground where he then battered Pedersen with devastating ground and pound. As these two prepared to face off, bookmakers had Sin as a heavy favourite and those that didn't know why soon found out - it was due to his chin, his power & his expert grappling. The Japanese shoot-fighter feinted a jab into a takedown and his opponent knew no better, leaving the white belt Hatchet on his back in just mere seconds. "The God Fist" began to soften "Shebang" up with strikes before effortlessly advancing to mount and continuing his rain of pain. When the Yokohama native tired of his opponent, Sin attempted an armbar and soon had Hatchet tapping. Now we look forward to a match up of great fighters as Lee Sin meets James Cole in the Semi-Finals. http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15183754093092.jpg http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14844339185841.png Welterweight Division Tenkaichi Quarter-Finals Match 3 Castor "Thunder" Antonopolous (1-0-0, 1-0-0 BFF) vs. Jackson "Look into my Eyes" Boone (2-0-0, 1-0-0 BFF) The third fight of the Quarter finals saw two of the favourites to win the tournament come up against each other as Greek Muay Thai specialist Castor Antonopolous took on English powerhouse Jackson Boone. In the opening round of the tournament, Castor was paired up against fellow Muay Thai practitioner Nikki Nix in a one-sided beat-down of a bout that lasted almost 16 minutes. Castor peppered his opponent from distance and bullied him in the clinch showing dominance in all areas that the fight would go before knocking him out. Jackson Boone had no time to waste in his round of 16 bout as he mauled grappler Art Mitcheltree in under a minute. Boone took the fight into the clinch and assaulted the head and body of Mitcheltree until the latter could not take it anymore, forcing the referee to step in. It was performances like this which had pundits picking Boone to win the tournament. When these two masters of the clinch were set to collide, those in attendance were treated to another dominant performance. To the surprise of few, Jackson Boone demolished his opponent and had complete control of the fight for almost its entirety. Significantly undersized in comparison to his opponent, Antonopolous could do nothing when dragged into the clinch and most of his offense was completely negated. Just over four minutes into the first round, with his gas tank depleted and face swollen, Castor's "Thunder" had left him and the fight was over. "Look into my Eyes" was victorious, and you could see the fire that burned within him as he screamed a victory cry into the camera. http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14557121641834.gif http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/6/6w23.jpg Welterweight Division Tenkaichi Quarter-Finals Match 4 Terell "Blood Red" Ward (1-0-0, 1-0-0 BFF) vs. Mark "E" Smith (1-0-0, 1-0-0 BFF) The fourth and final fight of the second round brought together two of the competition's deadliest submission specialists as colourful personality Terell Ward took on the silent-but-deadly Brit, Mark Smith. Ward was matched up with Russian grappler Boris Matusov in the first round of the tournament in a bout that would see both men almost throwing hands before even making it to the ring. There was a lot of drama leading up to this one but the fight lasted less than half a minute when the time came. At the sound of the bell, Ward hit the mat with Matusov on top. From there it was downhill for the Russian however as Ward instantly caught him in an armbar and forced the tap. The rivalry was over. Smith's start to the tournament lasted over thirty times as long as his match with fellow grappler Android Eighteen only missed the 20-minute bell by 15 seconds. The two constantly searched for submissions (74 in total), transitioning on occasion. Just before the end of the second round, Smith managed to capture Eighteen in an armbar and secured his spot in the Quarter-Finals. Now with two strong grapplers coming up against each other, eyes were fixated on Terell Ward - and for good reason. The bout opened with "Blood Red" piecing up his opponent on the feet for almost two minutes showing an unexpected development in his Boxing game. Smith had no option but to take the fight to the mat, but Ward found himself at ease there too, fighting off the offence of Smith and throwing up submission attempts of his own. The second round saw much of the same although it ended mid-way through as the thirteenth submission attempt proved to be the final one. Smith's arm was torqued almost out of it's socket and the fight was over to the beat of tap, tap, tap. Now, Tyrwell Ward meets fellow favourite Jackson Boone in a bout that will decide who will make it to the finals. Cheers for reading!

  2. IFC MW 24 Kirby VS Touchard (April 25th, 2018 - King Theatre - Los Angeles) Prelims Fight 1 - Middleweight Division (7-17, 210 lbs) Raheem “The Dream” Nazir VS (2-7, 170 lbs) Nevil “Sinclair” Hawk Nazir has had a very poor career so far due to a seeming lack of quality training. Early in his career he did well against most opponents he faced, but eventually it seems the fighters his age continually got better and started beating him consistently. Now he finds himself with a 7-17 record and no idea what exactly to do to catch up to his contemporaries. He did manage to find himself a win in his last fight, however its hard to imagine him going on a sizable win streak unless he makes a major breakthrough in training. Hawk has also not been doing well so far in his career, however at 21 years old he has time to train himself out of this pit, unlike his opponent. If he wants to try and make a turn around he definitely can’t afford to lose this fight, going up against another fighter who has struggled throughout his career. In this fight it looks like Nazir has a decent shot at winning his second fight in a row. His opponent’s lack of jiu jitsu will most likely come back to bite him and Nazir may get another submission victory. Fight 2 - Heavyweight Division (7-8, 238 lbs) Mass “Massacre” Acre VS (6-8, 300 lbs) Blitz “88” Krieg Acre is still hard to place in the IFC heavyweight division after beating Bliss and losing to Couture. Both are fighters who usually hang around the bottom of the middle rankings although Couture has been on the rise as of late. Acre definitely has pretty good skills that would seem above his current rank, but has seemed prone to being knocked out a little easily. Against Krieg’s boxing he will definitely want to try and avoid taking a clean shot. Krieg has a huge hole in his fighting as he has zero ground game. This fighter has found it almost impossible to keep his feet and once taken down he has no skill in getting back up or avoiding submissions. If he wants to win reliably he will definitely need to shore his ground game up. Krieg’s wrestling/jiu jitsu is too poor to see him conceivably winning this fight against a respectable wrestler and purple belt like Acre. Undercard Fight 3 - Middleweight Division (11-10, 204 lbs) Bricks “Parpaing” Thrower VS (2-3, 192 lbs) Hanny “The Fist” Sledgehammer Thrower has continually found himself stuck in the middle of the pack within the IFC. Even after the weight classes were divided he has found himself unable to even beat the upper tier fighters not in the rankings. However, this still means that he is not a fighter to be underestimated. He has proven time and time again that he is not a fighter that belongs at the bottom of the division and this consistency of being middle of the pack could lead to him eventually rising. While he appears to be a slightly slower learner than some of the other fighters, once he gets enough training in he could go toe to toe with some of the most talented fighters. Sledgehammer is relatively new to the IFC, hosting a 2-1 record since joining. He has managed to show that he doesn’t belong with the bottom tier, but he has not yet proven himself to the degree that Thrower has. His loss to Dalton being his only black mark showed that he had very poor strategy on the ground as he allowed the inferior grappler to control and stall on the ground until he lost. Hopefully Sledgehammer has learned from that fight and can show enough improvement to make this a close fight. Due to Sledgehammer’s inability to show a strong ground game I have to give the edge to Thrower who while less skilled on the ground is definitely the stronger fighter on his feet. Fight 4 - Lightweight Division (6-11, 140 lbs) Gin Kobra VS (3-1, 145 lbs) “Tiny” Tim Greene Kobra has had an ok run in the IFC, but he has a history of training too hard and thus has not trained up his skills as high as he could have. Just like the previous fighters he has managed to hold himself somewhere around the middle of the IFC rankings, but has yet to beat any of the top tier fighters. Greene has only fought once in the IFC where he was defeated by Allan. He comes from a KT oriented past where he managed to get himself a 6-5 record meaning his overall record in professional fights stands at 9-6. However, this will be an mma fight as such we have to look at his performance in the octagon. He relies heavily on his muay thai and has yet to prove he can hold his own on the ground, which is always a concern for KT fighters. Greene probably has the advantage going into this fight considering Kobra will be trying to fight him standing, something that any KT fighter looks forward to. Fight 5 - Heavyweight Division (4-2, 270 lbs) Francisco “The Count” Babyara VS (9-6, 265 lbs) Maurice “The MoleMan” Stone Babyara has only recently started to prove himself in the IFC, with straight wins over the lower ranked fighters in the organization. This fight will be a huge determinant in how high Babyara will rise in the near future. A win here would prove that he has what it takes to fight those grasping at the rankings, and while its hard to see Babyara beating one of these fighters, he should aim to climb as high as possible. Stone has found himself on a 2 fight losing streak against the 14th ranked fight as well as Tuong a fighter who is also making a run for the rankings. Now he will get to try himself against a mid tier opponent instead of one of the highest ranking fighters. If he can showcase his impressive jiu jitsu he should be able to pick up a win and show that, while he is not guaranteed a win against the top fighters, he definitely belongs in the octagon with them. Babyara’s wrestling and jiu jitsu are virtually non existent so it is almost impossible for him to avoid being taken down and submitted instantly in this fight. Fight 6 - Middleweight Division (3-0, 215 lbs) Vincenzo Kirby VS (5-6, 190 lbs) Yoshihiro Sexyama Kirby has in a matter of only three fights managed to climb his way all the way to the upper levels of the IFC organization. His last fight against Thrower, especially showed that he is capable of fighting some of the top level fighters the organization has to offer. Now that he is running into some of the top talent of the IFC it will be a very exciting time for fans to see if he has what it takes to go head to head with the higher levels of the IFC. Sexyama is a man who has been hanging on the fringe of the top level fighters, desperately clawing for his chance in the limelight. His last fight against Koniezko was his moment, but unfortunately he found himself knocked out in the second round and once again is muddling around with the other fighters looking for their shot. His record is the way it is, because he has been at the top playing gatekeeper, insuring that only quality fighters make it passed himself to get their chance at the rankers. This will be a tough fight for Kirby to win due to the impressive jiu jitsu of Sexyama. Kirby needs to clinch to win, but does not have the jiu jitsu to prevent Sexyama from pulling guard as such Sexyama has the advantage coming in. Main Card Fight 7 - Middleweight Division #14(7-6, 179 lbs) Terry Bogard VS (4-1, 205 lbs) Hen Nessy Bogard is a fighter who has been a long time name featured in the power rankings of the IFC. At only 21 his lengthy tenure at the top is even more impressive as he has managed to hold his own against much more experienced fighters throughout his career. He has fallen recently in the rankings, against the surging Murhaa who was only recently crowned champion, as well as losing to Porto in two straight decision losses. Against Murhaa he was outworked standing resulting in the loss, while against Porto he found himself controlled from the clinch unable to mount much striking of his own. Now he faces a fight in which if he loses he will find himself falling off of the rankings for the first time in a long time. Nessy finds himself in a fight for the power rankings after defeating another extremely strong newcomer to the IFC. Now if he can beat one of the more impressive 21 year olds in the IFC he would prove that he belongs at the highest level of the middleweight division and he may not even stop at the bottom of the rankings. This is a fighter I have high hopes for and it is not outside the realm of possibility that he could find himself eventually taking on Murhaa. Just like in the previous fight the difference in jiu jitsu may come back to bite Bogard who relies on the clinch to find his wins. However, he can keep Nessy from pulling guard he would have an advantage. Fight 8 - Middleweight Division #6(10-4, 217 lbs) Damien “Avalon D” OQuinn VS #10(10-7, 180 lbs) Manuel Lora OQuinn has been in the IFC for two fights now, beating Yonic, but losing to the long time #1 contender Heavyweight. This will be his second chance against a top 10 fighter and he hopes to show that he has what it takes to fight with the fighters at the top. He was very vocal at wanting to fight the winner of Brawler vs Heavyweight, and if he can win this fight he will find himself taking on whoever ends up on the losing end of that particular bout. Between wanting to beat a top 10 fighter and wanting to earn himself a chance for a contender fight he should be extremely motivated to come out on top in this fight. Lora has had a very similar IFC career to OQuinn, having beaten a middle of the pack fighter then finding himself on the losing end of Brawler. A win here would similarly prove that he has what it takes to fight at the top. I’m very excited to see the results of this fight, because one fighter will find his name cemented in the rankings while the other will be dropped and have to struggle with all the other fighters who want their moment of fame. However, Lora’s fight against Brawler lasted only 31 seconds so he has a lot to prove in this one. Both skills have similar wrestling and jiu jitsu, but in terms of boxing, OQuinn has a large lead and as such he should have the advantage going into this fight. Co-Main Event - Lightweight Division #12(10-8, 150 lbs) Daniel “The Unsanitary” Sainty VS #8(6-2, 164 lbs) “The Late Great” Feihck Tiote Sainty found himself one fight short of a shot at the title belt in the lightweight division and fell just short. In the Jiu jitsu centric lightweight division he has managed to not only hold his own, but prosper, managing 10 submission victories. He is already proven as a top contender with victories over Lopez and Peidis and as such his 12th spot in the rankings is hardly reflective of just how strong this fighter is. He has not lost to a non ranking fighter since early in his career so his record is similarly unkind in regard to how skilled of a fighter he is. Now he takes on a fighter coming off of his IFC debut in a fight where he risks falling out of the power rankings with a loss. Tiote has a 1-0 record in the IFC, but has showcased just how good of a fighter he is in the PFF organization where he was a champion who managed one title defense before losing the belt. Now in the IFC he finds himself with the opportunity to knock off a former #3 fighter and show that he belongs in the top 5 rankings himself. This is a very difficult fight to predict, because both fighters appear to excel on the ground. Tiote’s wrestling is some of the best in the entire organization, while the same can be said of Sainty’s jiu jitsu. The winner of this fight will have proven himself against an extremely strong opponent and should find himself climbing in the rankings. Main Event - Lightweight Division #4(6-0, 165 lbs) “King” Maximillian Kirby VS #13(7-1, 168 lbs) Anton Touchard Kirby has managed to find himself an impressive 5-0 record since joining the IFC climbing to the fourth spot in the rankings. His best opponent to date, however was Roth meaning that his position at the 4th spot comes not from his own victories, but from other people’s losses. He now finds himself against a fighter with similar skills to Roth’s, but a much better track record. In a division of strong jiu jitsu fighters Kirby’s purple belt seems out of place, but due to the fact he has a strong emphasis on his wrestling he has found his jiu jitsu more than up to the task of climbing. Touchard has taken down two of the stronger contenders for a spot on the power rankings in Boretti and Azevado. Now he will face a tough test taking on the fourth ranked fighter Kirby. Touchard has relied almost completely on his jiu jitsu to get to this point in the rankings and as such a fighter who wants to take the fight to the ground appears to be just what he wants, but will he be able to use his strength to fight his opponent’s strength? As previously stated both fighters want this going to the ground, but Kirby has a strong emphasis on ground and pound while Touchard wants to grapple his way to victory. I’d have to give the edge to Kirby, because of his win over Roth who had similar jiu jitsu skill to Touchards.

  11. I think it's also a horrible idea. And you still have a questionable grasp on how rules work. The absence of a rule doesn't mean that the opposite action can be taken, but generally it means that a situation has to stay the same Edit: both these managers are still active in game, how about shooting them a message if they are still participating?

  12. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/company/logo/151639301247pbCfp.gif SyFi 43 Preview by Malikoy Muza April 28th, 2018 - Bondi Outdoor Arena in Sydney, Australia http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/belt/20180120101433Belt.jpg http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14276209562272.jpegVS.http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/35/35b9.jpg For the Bantamweight Title - © 'Sumato Attack' Daichi Kishimoto [5 - 1] vs. (#1) Dieselnoi Por Pramuk [4 - 0] This marks the first time Daichi Kishimoto walks down the aisle as the Bantamweight champion of Sydney Fights, having defeated Glass Joe for the belt in SyFi 34. He'll be hoping to turn in a better effort than his two predecessors, who lost it without one title defence, as he faces the challenger Dieselnoi Por Pramuk. Por Pramuk has shown to be a clever operator with seemingly unlimited tools in his disposal. Not only a solid stand up fighter who won both of his two career kickboxing bouts, Por Pramuk is also a capable submission artist. That became evidently clear to Gary Dema and Zac Hendal as they were forced to tap to Dieselnoi. It's usually hard to say what his strategy will be going into a fight, but due to Daichi Kishimoto's lethal jiu jitsu skill he should go for the knockout. Kishimoto will no doubt get a takedown at some point, but he can't rest easy as the challenger has an active guard game with plenty of locks in his arsenal. PICK: Pick 'Em Light Heavyweight Division - (#5) Unknown Combatant [6 - 4] vs. Ken Ring [5 - 1] The number five ranked light heavyweight, Unknown Combatant has only had one fight in SyFi in form of a kimura win over Benjamin Bronckhorsten, while Ken Ring lost his debut to Cornelius Albatross in SyFi 33. Unfortunately for Ring this looks to be a bad night, Combatant is simply too good in every regard and will walk all over him. The only thing that remains to be seen is how Unknown Combatant finishes the fight. PICK: Unknown Combatant by TKO Middleweight Division - (#8) Sammmy Kilbach [5 - 1] vs. Chief 'Night' Stalker [4 - 3] Coming over from AnC, Chief Stalker gathered a 2 - 1 record in the org before it's demise and has now arrived in Sydney. He'll look to bounce back from a decision loss for a fresh start. Likewise is Sammmy Kilbach, who was on the wrong end of a decision in his fight with Ciro Di Marzio. Kilbach will need to use his wrestling ability to get a hold of Stalker, keep him in tight and unload on the strikes. If this is going to turn into a kickboxing bout, Stalker's going to have an advantage, especially due to his heavy hands that can quickly fold people over like a lawn chair. He has shown to be the lesser fighter whenever his fights have moved onto a clinching position however, so this'll be a case of getting close vs. staying on the open. Kilbach is coming in as a slight favorite to what should be a solid stand up exhibit. PICK: Sammy Kilbach by decision Light Heavyweight Division - Dai Zexi [4 - 1] vs. Joshua 'The Sauce' Syracuse [3 - 1] Dai Zexi has had somewhat of an interesting MMA career so far: he did one scrap in the local circuit and then took part in the second IFC New Blood tournament, where he made it all the way up to the finals before being TKO'ed. Of course his adversary Joshua Syracuse looks to squash his momentum right on it's tracks! Fresh off an impressive ground and pound victory over John Tucker, Syracuse might be a little too much the jack-of-all-trades type to match the specific submission skillset of his opponent. This likely won't take long to turn into a grappling exchange and there Dai Zexi is the more dangerous fighter. PICK: Dai Zexi by submission Super Heavyweight Division - Adam 'Monster' Hardy [3 - 2] vs. (#3) 'The Russian Bear' Wladimir Yaroslev [3 - 0] Wladimir Yaroslev is on an impressive three fight winning streak inside the SyFi cage, with two TKOs and one submission in his record, all in the very first round. Adam Hardy however had lost twice in a row before his 30 - 27 decision win over Bogdan Uzun. Now coming into this fight as a huge underdog, he's going to play right into Yaroslev's wheelhouse if he chooses to employ his usual grappling heavy tactic. Wladimir Yaroslev will be more than happy to give up a takedown simply to get the fight to the ground, where his superior skill will prove too difficult for Adam Hardy to handle. PICK: Wladimir Yaroslev by TKO (ground and pound) Middleweight Division - Mickey Diaz [3 - 1] vs. Niko Puhkuri [1 - 1] If there's ever been a dictionary definition of a one-trick pony, that's Mickey Diaz. Pull guard and work submissions, not only every time, but every round, all the time. He has yet to showcase any takedown ability whatsoever, so if Niko Puhkuri can avoid being pulled to guard, he'll be okay. Whether or not he'll manage that is another question. Puhkuri wants to turn this into a striking clinic and with his well rounded hybrid style, could be a tough match up for Diaz. PICK: Niko Puhkuri by TKO Light Heavyweight Division - Evan Dryll [2 - 1] vs. Krit Leekpai [2 - 0] In his short time spent in the MMA world, Krit Leekpai has achieved a reputation of a promising rookie. His hype train hasn't been quite as big or fast as some industry insiders expected, but Leekpai will get a crack of proving his might against Evan Dryll. The American has went 2 - 1 in SyFi so far and has a chance to really make a name of himself by defeating a touted prospect. A striker, Dryll is a well rounded fighter like his Thai counterpart and they both enjoy throwing shots. They must be walking inside the cage thinking 'This'll end in a knockout', but who can load up the bigger bomb is anyone's question. Krit Leekpai is going in as the slight favorite due to his marginally better stand up skill, but also because should there be a need for clinching, he'll likely be able to control the exchanges. PICK: Krit Leekpai by TKO Light Heavyweight Division - Jengo 'The Chief' Makumba [3 - 0] vs. Kurt 'Nightcrawler' Wagner [2 - 2] The Chief has laid out three strikers already in his Sydney Fights career in Kevin Durant, Miguel Fialho and Emil Derrick, but now he must try to do the same to a BJJ player. Kurt Wagner will certainly wish all good things come to an end, even for Makumba, with Wagner having been outclassed in his SyFi 31 debut by Mauro Carnera. This fight is a different bag though, Wagner simply looks far too good for Makumba. The Chief needs to drop Wagner within the first couple of minutes or he'll be in a world of hurt once the fight hits the mat. PICK: Kurt Wagner by submission Light Heavyweight Division - Boogie Rollins [1 - 0] vs. Mike Mikson [3 - 1] Mike Mikson and Boogie Rollins are making their way to the SyFi cage for the first time here tonight to take on each other. Mikson went 2 - 1 in the ill-fated WCI organization, while Rollins has only one pro fight in the local circuit, an arm bar win in the first round. Of course Mikson is a grappler himself, though more of a jiu jitsu specialist to that of Rollins' wrestling talent. Boogie needs to use that to create smothering pressure, but I doubt if Mikson's going to let this fight turn into a catch-as-catch can showcase. He'll certainly be looking for a lock, if he does get his opponent on his back. The ground game of Mike Mikson should prove to be the deciding factor. PICK: Mike Mikson by submission Super Heavyweight Division - Cat 'Chunky' Fhin [3 - 2] vs. Ted 'The Million Dollar Man' Dibiase [1 - 1] A very similar stylistic match up as two sprawl and brawlers go head to head, hoping to display their solid boxing base to the Sydney crowd. Cat Fhin is 3 - 1 in SyFi, with his only loss coming by way of submission to the now reigning Super Heavyweight champion. Since then he's racked up two wins in a row, while DiBiase was bested by Matt Wills in his last go around. Fhin and DiBiase seem to prefer standing in the open and letting their hands go, so expect this to be a clean striking battle. Ted DiBiase is renowned for his bad cut immunity, this could be a chance for Cat Fhin to simply outbox and outland his opponent. PICK: Cat Fhin by decision

  18. I was gonna complain about that but thankfully now I won't have to. And complain also about naming me Pable in that video too but maybe I won't do that either...

  19. Gotta say, Camara, I was dubious when you said you rethought your position and the way you portray yourself on hear and were going to change. But you really have been behaving quite courteously of late. A complete turnaround from before. I commend you on being sincere and actually making good on your vow to better your self and your image here. Cheers. Ok... I'm done hijacking this thread now

  20. You are on to me.. For the longest time I have hated Larusso. I do not want his name on my work... Haha, kidding of course! I copied and pasted the names and I guess they didn't get copied in with the rest. Sorry about that! Will edit it now And thanks everyone for the nice words! edit: It has been edited. Thanks for pointing it out!

  21. Awesome work as always John. You know I love the effort you put into what you do. So, I’m not saying this because I’m being a dick. I’m saying it because I know you would want it to be perfect and I assume it’s just a minor oversight, or maybe it’s deliberate and I’m about to win a prize... Larusso vs Legions isn’t on the poster.

  25. Wes Ray: Just won the belt at 205 in RISE. #Makinghistory. First ever 2 division champion in RISE history. Felt good coming back and moving to 205 and winning the belt at 205. Not a fan of immediate rematches. Always feel like there should be a fight cushion between facing a guy you already faced. With that being said i would love to not only making history being the first ever 2 division champion in RISE history but the first simultaneous 2 division champion. Would love to run it back with Max and get that belt back as well. I lost that fight. No excuses about it. Didn't feel quite right for it and was completely spent after the first round. Checking the results at fightorgs.org we are p4p ranked 1 and 2 in RISE. He also fought not long ago so it makes sense. History there being the only guy to beat me and how often does the number 1 and 2 p4p guy in org get a shot at one another? With that being said Dante definitely deserves a shot at the belt though so if the guy wants his title fight; i like the kid and won't stand in his way when he is deserving. So everything is kind of up in the air. I know Aron said he wanted his belt back. So after he gets another win; it will be right around my waist for him to come and take it.

  28. IFC 47 Heavyweight vs Seventeen (April 21st, 2018 - King Theatre - Los Angeles) Prelims Fight 1 - Lightweight Division (0-6, 165 lbs) Long Thai VS (5-11, 145 lbs) Jason Poller Thai is still searching for his first victory in the IFC after six straight losses. His biggest problem is the fact that he has focused almost all of his training time into muay thai, to the exclusion of all else. This has resulted in a very predictable fighting style that any opponent who does any research can counter. He is at pretty much the bottom of the IFC and in this bout he will be facing the second lowest ranked fighter in the lightweight division. Poller as previously stated is one of the lowest ranking fighters in the IFC. However, this particular fight would be his IFC debut, and this organization will be his chance to turn his career around. He is starting from the bottom and has nowhere to go, but up. While he is starting low this gives him the potential to create a story never before seen in the IFC; a fighter who has risen through 50+ fighters on his way to the top. However, he will need to improve much faster than he has so far to have any chance at this happening. This is a fight between two extremely one dimensional fighters, however Poller’s jiu jitsu should allow him to directly counter the muay thai of his opponent as he can pull guard rather easily and submit from the bottom. Fight 2 - Lightweight Division (5-3, 156 lbs) “Notorious” Cj McGregor VS (6-5, 139 lbs) Bright “Quest” Heather McGregor has not lived up to expectations since joining the IFC. He joined with a 4-1 record and has gone 1-2 since joining, beating one opponent and losing to two others. He has a huge weakness in his game, being unable to do anything when it comes to the ground game and yet not having the ability to keep his feet against good wrestlers. Until he shores up this weakness he will have trouble ever climbing in the IFC. Heather is another fighter with a 1-2 record since coming to the IFC who also has a large whole in his game. His problem is that the strong point of his technique would be his jiu jitsu, but his wrestling is not at a level that enables him to get the fight to the ground against good opponents. Maybe these two fighters should be sparring eachother, one needs takedown offense while the other needs takedown defense its a match made in heaven. However, since this is an official event I’ll give the edge to Heather slightly, because he does have the better wrestling between the two fighters. Undercard Fight 3 - Middleweight Division (3-5, 210 lbs) Joe “The Alternate” Average VS (2-1, 185 lbs) Wrecking Ball Average has so far in his career managed to beat most of his opponents in the bottom half of the division, but then lost to those on the top half. He has proven prone to knockouts, but he is a very skilled fighter who can utilize just about any method to get a victory. So far he has proven most successful with his jiu jitsu where he has a brown belt. If he can ever get over the hump of losing to the top half you could definitely see him going on a run through the rankings. Ball is one of the fighters who first caught my attention when I first started writing for the organization. Although that was due almost solely to his name, you can’t ignore the fact that his skills are worthy of attention. He currently has a 1-1 record in the middleweight division with his only loss coming against a fighter on the rise in Zaad. This fight will be a chance for him to redeem himself and show that he belongs in the top half of the rankings where he can scratch and claw with all the others struggling to make a name for themselves in the IFC. This fight should be a close one, but Ball’s wrestling combined with his purple belt should be able to hold off the jiu jitsu of Average and get him the win through ground and pound. Fight 4 - Heavyweight Division (3-4, 225 lbs) Ivashin “Imadlo” Dmitrievich VS (5-5-1, 220 lbs) Terje “Nightmare” Warholm Dmitrievich has had an okay run so far in the IFC, doing nothing particularly impressive, but not looking too bad either. He has lost two disappointing fights in a row against decent opponents and now finds himself against another decent opponent. The fact he is losing to people in the middle of the Division bodes ill for this fighter if he ever wants to make it higher in the rankings. However, at only 20 years old he definitely has room for improvement and he could possibly get skilled enough to rise eventually. Warholm has been a win one lose one kind of fighter since starting his career. Somehow he managed to tie with Bogard, but other than that he hasn’t done anything to make a strong case for himself as a top tier fighter. He has amassed a good skill set for himself, but he has not yet managed to turn his technique into consistent victories. These fighters are pretty evenly matched, each having an advantage in different aspects. As such it will come down to who can use their particular advantage better. Fight 5 - Middleweight Division (10-7-1, 185 lbs) Boss Yonic VS (1-1, 215 lbs) Glenn “The Hisings Hammer” Svensson Yonic is a very dangerous fighter who although not in the top rankings, has fought many of the people in those rankings in close fights. He is yet another example of a fighter with the skills to go head to head with the strongest, but just can’t quite manage to pick up a win against the top rankers. He has had troubles finishing fights with fights that have been decided by a decision nine times (he won 6 of the 9) and only managing to finish 4 fights all of which were by submission. If he wants to climb in the rankings further he will need to finish his fights as opposed to leaving it up to the judges. At only 19 years of age Svensson has done well to find himself in the IFC at all, let alone having a successful debut. In his debut he managed to land his punches at an extremely high success rate, crushing his opponent and getting the knockout win in the first round. He will find that his opponent in this fight will go much further in testing where exactly this young fighter falls in the IFC middleweight divisional hierarchy. In this fight I would give the advantage to Yonic due to the large advantage he has in wrestling as well as the slight advantage in his jiu jitsu. However, Svensson has a chance in this fight if he can manage to keep his feet. Fight 6 - Heavyweight Division (9-9, 264 lbs) Ricky “Big Tex” Hughes VS (4-3, 286 lbs) Neville Southall Hughes is one of only two members of the IFC hall of fame. He was the first ever champion crowned in the open weight division days of the organization and although he didn’t manage to defend the belt in his next fight, he is a historical figure in the organization’s past. However, in the present he is a fighter struggling to maintain his relevancy against the increasing skills of the younger fighters. He has not won since December and is very thirsty for another victory as he seeks to relive the glory days of the past. Southall is making his IFC debut in this bout and the fact that he is fighting a hall of famer goes to show just how highly respected he is coming in. He has been in a few organizations with his most recent fights coming in the NJMMA org where he had a 1-1 record. Now, in the IFC he will find out if he can hold up to one of the long time great fighters of his new organization. Unfortunately, for the hall of famer I’d give the edge to Southall coming in, because of the large advantage in muay thai technique. If Hughes wants a win he will have to avoid closing with his opponent and using his slightly superior boxing to get him the advantage. Main Card Fight 7 - Middleweight Division (4-1, 205 lbs) Matteo “The Werewolf” Boretti VS (9-8, 210 lbs) Chara Zaad Boretti has been doing pretty well for himself since joining the IFC, hosting a 3-1 record within the organization. The only thing holding him back from a possible spot in a ranking spot is the fact that he has not managed to beat any particularly strong opponents as of yet. So far the best opponent he has faced to date was Touchard and is the only black mark on Boretti’s record. Once he can get over the hump and beat one of the contenders Boretti will probably be a staple in the ranking picture of the IFC. Zaad has been red hot as of late (although the prodigy Yuri Bezmenov put a damper on that) winning 3 of his last 4 fights losing only to Bezmenov. Now is his chance to continue his winning ways and show he has what it takes to fight those in the rankings for a chance at earning his way to the top. In the current era of the IFC the contest for those top 15 rankings have been particularly close and we are seeing fighters who once would easily have made them, now struggling to find their place on them. The big wild card in this is the fact that we have not seen exactly how well Zaad does against muay thai. This will be the determining factor as he is the superior boxer, but his opponent’s ability in the clinch is just as advantaged. The winner of this one will be centered around whether this fight takes place in the clinch or not. Fight 8 - Heavyweight Division (3-1, 270 lbs) Sal Sizzaro VS (6-2, 271 lbs) Tan Han Tuong While Sizzaro may have lost his debut upon joining the IFC, since then he has managed to win three street with his crowning win coming over Esch. A win over Tuong would show that his 19 year old is on his way up and woe to anyone who thinks they can earn an easy win over him. He has shown wonderful wrestling skills, with basically 0 stand up and decent jiu jitsu. Whether he chooses to hone his already impressive ground game or to start learning stand up you can expect this fight to continue learning until eventually challenging the fighters at the top. Tuong has done well for himself in the IFC with a 5-1 record, beating many of the fighters lower in the rankings. However, for whatever reason this fighter has struggled to gain hype despite the winning spree. This may be a safe strategy by the fighter to rise gradually instead of trying to climb in streaks, he is rising steadily, making sure he is not biting off more than he can chew. Tuong definitely has an advantage standing, however Sizzaro has the slight advantage on the ground so this fight will be determined upon whether Tuong can keep his feet or at least try and be the one in control on the ground. The edge has to go to Tuong due to the fact he is only slightly disadvantaged on the ground, but has a huge advantage standing. Fight 9 - Co Main Event (8-8, 190 lbs) “Corpse Making Cowboy” Don Joe VS #13(2-0, 207 lbs) Dennis Fischer Joe is one of the 28 year olds in the IFC who is trying to hold off the rise of all the younger fighters in the organization. Unfortunately, he has been unsuccessful, losing 6 straight fights going from one of the top rankers to a person barely in the top 4000 of the mma world. He started off his IFC career with a title fight which he lost to the super champion Mew Choo, but followed that up with wins against Hughes, Kennedy, and Bandichoo. However that was the beginning and the end of this fighters time at the top as he has followed those victories with loss after loss. A win here would help reverse his negative trajectory, but he will definitely have his work cut out for him in this one. Fischer is making his IFC debut in this fight, coming into the organization highly recognized as a very potent fighter as evidenced by the fact he is ranked 13th without fighting. He comes from a KT background on the island so his 2-0 record hardly reflects his true fight experience as it doesn’t take into account his 8-0 time in KT circles where he participated and won 3 title fights and ultimately ended the island season as the 205 lb KT champion and highest ranked fighter. Since leaving the island he has put the work in at the gym to turn himself into an mma fighter, ultimately leading to this point. This fighter of talented young fighter versus wily vet has been a common trend in the IFC of late which has gone both ways, however in this particular fight I expect the youth to win out, because of the large advantage in their muay thai. Fight 10 - Heavyweight Division #1 Contender Fight #1(20-3, 280 lbs) Super “Dominator” Heavyweight VS #2(11-8, 281 lbs) “Red Ribbon Armys” Android Seventeen Heavyweight is a fighter who came to the IFC expecting to be a champion after dominating on the island. He has fought 5 times in the organization and has lost only to the current champion, Tower. Since losing via submission to Tower, he has had three straight T(KO) victories over other fighters high in the IFC rankings. You can expect that he is coming into this fight expecting a victory, and wanting to find himself back in that #1 contender spot so he can once again challenge for the title belt. In his way is Android Seventeen. He has been very vocal about his desires for a chance at the title and he has finally put his money where his mouth is and earned his way into the #1 contender fight. He earned his way here by beating Bell in a rather one sided, early first round knockout. If he can fight as impressively as he did in that fight we may finally see a fighter other than Heavyweight holding that #1 spot. This is a fight that has a lot of people excited myself included. As much as I know this will defend Seventeen’s manager I have to give him the advantage in this fight. While Heavyweight has been the perennial #1 in the Heavyweight division Seventeen has trained himself to a point where technique wise he looks like the superior fighter and you have to give him the edge coming in. However, Heavyweight has been at the top since joining for a reason and underestimating him will be something that ends up with you unconscious on the mat.
