  4. Welterweight Semifinals (915331) http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1541531344weltersemis.jpg The Underground Tokyo, Japan 11/17/18 Sponsored by: Helsinki Xtreme Fightwear (5207) Welcome to the Japan all, and to the land of great warriors known as Samurais whose strict self discipline was a model of true elite honor code above all. Dedicating their lives to serve the Emperor of Japan and to promote the defense of the homeland, these warriors lived to die a glorious death in battle. Those spirits are still with us today here in Japan, as modern warriors look to become a true model of self worth and dedication to the sport of MMA. The underground here in downtown Tokyo will serve as FARTMMA's Welterweight Semi-Finals event and those warriors are one step closer to true greatness. Lets take a look at the top fights this evening. WELTERWEIGHTS SEMI FINAL Clint Eastwood (340196) vs. David "Bomber" Stringfellow (340017) Two undefeated warriors in both from London, England are entering the cage to pursue the championship. Eastwood (2-0) is very powerful and has decent wrestling, but he is a stand up fighter who looks to go for the knockout in his fights with a 73% connect percentage on all head strikes watch for those stiff jabs and straight singles that can put a fighter on his back on the dot. He doesn't have the sweet science boxing primary skills down pat, just a tremendous power in his swings and if he connects its going to be hell. He has shown the ability to take fights past the 1st round with each going to the 2nd and 3rd rounds where he has won by TKO, so its safe to say wearing him down won't be easy except for the fact that his manager forgot to cancel his auto flight to Tokyo from London, and he is going to be serious energy deficient when he arrives without adequate rest. "Bomber" Stringfellow (3-0) has a win in each different category, something definitely saying he is a true all around martial artist. He will stand and strike and win, he will grind it out and win, or he can fight you on the ground and show off his new blue belt that was just awarded at Lombard MMA gym in London. "Bomber" has the advantage with grappling and striking where his boxing is way more polished and technical to avoid street brawls, his one area of concern is he can tend to cut some and if its bad enough a referee could change the outcome of a fight even if the person is winning it, so that is something to pay attention to. Eastwood will be tired and his street fighting plan will prove to use too much gas looking for the knockout as long as Stringfellow uses his superior footwork and boxing skills and take the fight deeper than the 1st, there is no way I don't see a victory for the "Bomber". Prediction: Stringfellow by KO HEAVYWEIGHT DJ Prestomac (340496) vs. Desway "Too Fly" Hunkuless (341279) This fight features two heavyweight prospects that could some day challenge for the heavyweight title, or they could just be the door mats of the division. Experience, fight, train, and growth will be what both need and will get with this fight. DJ (1-0) has some great looking hiddens as he has superb boxing with KO power, and he also has a blue belt which he displayed with a submission win in his 1st fight. His manager also forgot to cancel auto flights and is traveling to Tokyo from St. Petersburg, this will no doubt hinder him in the fight if it goes past the 1st round, he better hope he gets the finish early. The opponent will be "Too fly" Hunkuless who is taller, but way out sized in weight as he weighed in at 220 while DJ hit the limit at 265 but will no doubt be closer to 275 for the fight. This disadvantage means, he better not end up on the bottom if it goes to the ground, and he will need to use his lighter weight and reach advantage to keep DJ away from him. The good news for "Too Fly" is he has KO power and if he can be disciplined in when he chooses to engage DJ, he could have the opportunity to wear him down and catch him with his hands low. Prediction: Hunkuless by Dec, DJ too tired. 205 Lbs Venom "Poison " Killer (340643) vs. Mastro Geppetto (341285) Killer (1-0) has only had 1 fight, but was on the mark with all 9 strikes, he didn't land his 1 combo, but he didn't need it as weathered the early storm from a takedown and took some nice shots and defended a submission attempt to survive the 1st round where he was able to keep it standing and crumbled his opponent to the canvas. Amazing granite chin, solid boxing, and decent wrestling gives Killer some tools to win, but his opponent Geppetto (3-1) a runner up in a 16 man tournament enjoyed a 3 fight win streak before losing the tournament final by decision is making his debut here in the promotion. Geppetto has a brawler mentality with a granite chin as well as he loves to stand and bang and has some leg and body kicks in his arsenal as well. Geppetto seems to love to be the aggressor in his fights and wants to pressure his opponent into that street fight mentality where they abandon their game plan to fight his. Neither fighter is a jiu jitsu specialist, and with both having the tendency to strike and both have granite chins, I would say this could end up being a KOTN award honors after its over. A tough prediction here, younger fighter with experience in Geppetto or older fighter with solid skills in Killer? Prediction: Killer wins by KO, if it doesn't end quickly they both will be in hospital for awhile WELTERWEIGHTS SEMI-FINALS Johnny "The Cowboy" Bronco (340688) vs. Andy McCallum (340378) A great fight we have here in the semi-finals of the tournament as Johnny "The Cowboy" Bronco (2-1) will need to dig deep to displace a hungry Andy McCallum (2-0). Bronco is shorter of the two fighters, but that also means that McCallum has a reach advantage in the stand up. Bronco has good wrestling and a solid chin, he has a win by TKO and by Submission. He doesn't have the great technical boxing or muay thai, but he some high level skill with strikes and is unorthodox in his style, but don't let that fool you, he has wonderful wrestling where he may just change it up on you and take the fight down, where he has been relentless in his offensive submission wrestling, which is not jiu jitsu because its more power/weight/brutal instead of technique and leverage. Definitely Bronco has some scary tactics. McCallum has yet to taste defeat, and has like Bronco won in different fashion. McCallum has the upper hand with the stand up in boxing and slightly with thai fighting. He has won both of his fights by tko, and in one he was deadly in the boxing game, landing jabs, straights, hooks at will, even his combinations couldn't be denied and in the other fight he used his clinch game to negate his opponents strengths and kept him there at will barraging him with head strikes, but although not as effective as if he uses his reach. I will suspect that he will keep his distance with Bronco and hope he will oblige in the stand up game, if Bronco goes to his wrestling he will need to be weary of McCallum's untested blue belt in jiu jitsu, which I'm sure he will use as a counter to Bronco there. Prediction: This is a tough fight to call, and I believe this is a great match up and could win an award honors. I will have to go with McCallum using his reach and accuracy in boxing, and the fact that he can counter Bronco's aggressive ground game if it goes there. 205 Lbs Chris "Bloody Fart" Bumblebee (341786) vs. Jason Knight (341966) Both are 25 year olds, both are almost same in height, Bumblebee will be a little heavier come fight time, and both have managers that forgot to cancel auto flights and now their fighters will be fighting will less than ideal energy in the fight. Whoever of the two has the better conditioning will have an advantage is the fight goes the distance. One of the weirdest nicknames in the Tycoon World, "Bloody Fart" doesn't sound very intimidating, its down right disgusting and maybe that is the angle he uses as Bumblebee (1-0) enjoys the ground game and attacks with ground n pound and grinds his ass up against his opponents face as he twists and turns looking for submissions. With strong wrestling and a purple belt in bjj, there is no way to say what course of action Bumblebee will take against Knight. Jason Knight is making his debut and he has the advantage in the stand up and has some solid wrestling background in his arsenal as he will need to use both to defeat bumblebee. He will need to keep this fight standing by defending the takedowns, if he can stop multiple attempts this will tire out bumblebee and he will be open for more strikes by Knight. If for some reason Knight does end up on the ground he will need to be smart to defend and advance to get back to his feet. Both strategies are simple and clear here and it will be up to the corners and fighters on how to approach this fight. Prediction: Bumblebee by TKO The Welterweight Semi-Finals match ups and main card fights are broken down for you fight fans of FARTMMA, as they look to conclude the welterweight tournament soon and bring those top warriors one step closer to a title. From the land of honor and samurais, Bas Rutten said it well..."Godspeed, and carry on"! Write up: Slade Sanders

  5. Thinking we could all pick a number 1-59 . Once filled up , the following bonus ball that is drawn at the UK lottery decides the winner . Depending on how big we want the prize depends on how much each number costs . Price per number - 20,000 - jackpot - 1,180,000 50,000. - 2,950,000 100,000 - 5,900,000 200,000 - 11,800,000 If not all numbers are drawn as there is a lot we could do a rollover until someone wins . Only problem I see is the fee when sending money . Let me know if anyone would be Interested

  9. I got fucked on a title fight and a few other fights in one week because I was having internet issues... Something needs to be done about the whole travel thing. Losing that much energy should not be a thing. People don't die from flying from Sydney to New York and back. But in this game they would be so exhausted that they would literally need to be carried off the plane and taking to the hospital if they flew from Sydney to New York and back all within the same week.

  10. Slammy Neckbreaker: I had two good rounds and was winning against a very tough opponent. He was trying to grab for my arms and neck all the time from the bottom but really had nothing and was starting to look worn down.. I was going to finish this. Then, damn those little pencil arms, he somehow snuck one in around my neck. It was like being choked by a piece of spaghetti, but he managed it somehow. It was a good fight, and I will work more BJJ into my training schedule from now on.

  11. Iron Man Vale Tudo – 135lbs Grand Prix 18th November 2018 Championship Playoff – Round 1 (PO1) (B1) Joe Slasher (3-1 in Tournament) (Rank3) v (A2) Polly Paulson (2-1-1 in Tournament (Rank8) Kicking off the championship play-offs we have Group B winner Joe Slasher and he will be taking on Group A runner up Polly Paulson. Joe Slasher, it must be said, has done fantastically to get to where he is right now. Suffering a fairly significant injury in a warm up QFC fight before the tournament, that injury would follow him into his opening group stage fight against Gichin Funakoshi leaving him looking sluggish and a far cry from the fighter that presents himself to us in this first round of knockout action. With a then record of 0-2 (0-1 in season), Slasher has battled back with two first round KO’s and a massive decision victory over group favourite Gruff Dragon to seal his place as Group A champion with a season record of 3-1. Now the heavy handed boxer prepares to continue with this good run of form and with a pre play-off ranking of 3 of 8, it is obvious that Slasher could be a one to keep an eye on over the next few events. His opponent is Polly Paulson, a brawler from Gurton, England who managed to put together a 2-1-1 record and secure a hard fought second place finish in Group A. Paulson has looked devastating at times this season, with two brutal first round KO’s, one of which against Nilton Guimaraes clocked in at just twelve seconds. Despite this however, Paulson missed out on topping the group after a disappointing draw against Pete Peterson and a loss against Able Archer in his final group stage bout of which would have secured him a first place spot. As it was, Paulson finished second only by virtue of his heavy handed finish wins and one solitary point. Still, with a pre play-off ranking of 8 of 8, an opportunity in the play-off finals is still an opportunity no matter how it comes and with that Polly Paulson has an outside chance to take it all. This should be a very interesting and entertaining fight as both fighters are known for their heavy hands and their love for stand up brawling. On the outside, Joe Slasher will be the more refined technician and with his remarkable boxing skills would probably have quite an advantage from that distance. Paulson has shown competence at that range but his real strength is in the clinch where he can make the best use of his respectable wrestling and muay thai combined. Perhaps the biggest area of interest in this fight that is likely to be overlooked is the fact that Slasher has made obvious improvements in his ground skills having earned his blue belt during the tournament. Is this something that Slasher will look to use offensively against a clinch heavy field of fighters or is it purely defensive to counter some of the submission/ground and pound wrestlers? If it is the former then Paulson will really be under pressure and might not be able to clinch with the impunity that he would no doubt prefer. Still, with his heavy hands and KO power, Paulson will always be dangerous wherever he is. Can he overcome the boxing skills of Joe Slasher and the fine form that he has been displaying over the past few events? Only time will tell. Prediction: Slasher by Dec. Slasher seems to be the better fighter overall but this is a tough match up for him and Paulson hasn’t exactly done badly at all and if the fight stays in the clinch for too long, Paulson could end up taking the decision himself. (PO2) (D1) Balor Fino (Rank2) v (B2) Gruff Dragon (Rank7) Balor Fino topped what initially looked to be a very tough collection of fighters in group D and comes into this playoff stage as an undefeated prospect to win it all. Technically only 3-0 in real fights, Fino is 4-0 this tournament due to picking up a forfeit win over awol fighter Makhlamed Armagedonenov but that shouldn’t take anything away from the young fighter from Iceland who’s determination has seen him victorious over fighters with arguably better inner qualities. Fino has also performed at key moments having gone into his final group stage match up in a head to head to decide who would call themselves Group D champion. Fino was the one to come out on top but he will now face a tough challenge in the first round of this championship playoff stage. The man who will stand opposite Fino on this occasion is Group B runner up Gruff Dragon and as a fighter that was predicted to top his group, the jury is still out on this young submission wrestler as to whether he has what it takes to up his game from here. Dragon began his campaign with a gruelling draw against fellow grappler Crisostomo Ibarra and followed up with two wins in a row. One, a submission victory late in the first round and the second, a decision victory over Chris Chaitle that put him in first place in the group and on par to go through as predicted. Things, however, took a dramatic turn as Dragon was outpointed in his showdown with Joe Slasher and due to the competitiveness of the group found himself dangling precariously in the runner up spot and in danger of dropping down into the 5th Place Playoff. Dragon went into the final group stage week on a bye and had to watch imperviously as the results came in and on this occasion, things went his way and now he finds himself in the final knockout stage with a chance at overall glory. This is a tough match up for both fighters but probably more so for Dragon who has only managed to find one finish win out of his four group stage fights. Both fighters are wonderful wrestlers but both use their wrestling in very different ways. Fino will want to keep this fight standing and has a striking game that definitely belies his meagre skills on paper and Dragon will want to get this fight down to the ground as quickly as is possible. Takedowns versus takedown defence and Fino is already two up against ground fighters whereas Dragon has not been as dominant against strikers and was on the receiving end of an absolute anti-grappling clinic when he fought Joe Slasher. Fino’s striking isn’t anywhere near as technical as Slashers though so perhaps Dragon won’t feel the pressure to get things done in a rush but he will still not likely want anything to do with Fino on the feet and that could make him somewhat predictable to a good camp like Fino’s. Prediction: Fino by Dec. Dragon hasn’t had the finishing skills to get things done and Fino will likely be ready for his game. Fino on the other hand might be able to control the stand up and clinch but without the raw technical ability of some other strikers will find it hard to crack Dragon’s good chin and get a finish. (PO3) (C1) Takayama Yataro (Rank1) v (D2) Tom Baker (Rank6) Unfortunately, at the time of writing, Tom Baker has seemingly disappeared off the face of the earth and has yet to sign on the dotted line for his hard fought first round play-off bout against Group C winner Takayama Yataro. A great shame as after five events of group stage fighting, you really get the sense that all eight finalists have earned their place and could potentially have a shot at taking it all. Maybe it is fitting that this preview is also being written on the 25th anniversary of the birth of the UFC which of course without, we most assuredly wouldn’t be here today. On that day 25 years ago, eight men came together in one of the most dangerous, exciting and polarising martial arts events ever seen in modern times and bravely faced their fears when so many others would have run away. So, as it stands currently, Takayama Yataro looks set to receive a bye into the next round which can only spell trouble for everyone else as Yataro has been truly magnificent so far and is the only fighter to have won all four of his group stage fights by finish. Added to his tune up fight before the tournament began, Yataro is currently undefeated with a record of 5-0. It is fair to say that the Japanese wrestler will be the solid favourite going forward and the fact that he now looks likely to receive uninterrupted training time will only strengthen this assertion. (PO4) (A1) Able Archer v (Rank4) (C2) Duke Nukem(Rank5) Our final match up of this first round knockout stage features Group A winner Able Archer taking on Group C runner up Duke Nukem and this one could be an absolute sleeper for fight on the night. Able Archer was able to come out on top in Group A after what turned out to be a very competitive and back and forth group stage. Archer’s path to the finals had a very unexpected bump however when he managed to lose a shock upset against struggling Nance Gibbord that put a whole lot of pressure on him going into his final group fight against Polly Paulson. Showing tremendous composure however, Archer got back to business and secured a first place spot with a first round submission win and adding to his current 3-1 record. With that submission win also, Archer showed us another element to his fight game as previous to that we had only seen him fighting inside in the clinch. This will only serve to make him more dangerous and could definitely be a huge factor going into this fight against an opponent that prefers the stand up side. Duke Nukem comes into this fight off the back of a crushing return win against Anders Silver after a previous loss to eventual group winner Takayama Yataro threatened to derail his otherwise perfect campaign. Lead by an enthusiastic management team, Nukem could perhaps be quite the dark horse at this point with his current 3-1 record with all wins coming by way of first round knockout. He beat predicted group winner One Fortythree early in the group stage and followed up with a stunning KO win over Rascals Alfalfa and apart from the loss previously mentioned, has looked to be a very strong competitor. Of course, this is now where it really counts and a single loss will mean crashing out of the competition. Duke Nukem faces a very tough test in Able Archer. On paper both are fighters that have used their wrestling as a base for a more stand up orientated game plan. Archer being the slightly superior in that area has predominantly preferred the clinch to dish out punishment where as Nukem has very much preferred standing at range and using his mediocre boxing skills to very good effect. Nukem has fought inside the clinch however and he has not yet come across anyone better than him there so this could be a very interesting showdown if any in-fighting does occur. Would Archers slightly better wrestling skills give him an advantage or would Nukem’s more technical boxing allow him to dominate? One potential reason for Nukem to avoid the clinch however might be Archer’s seemingly newfound ability to pick up submission wins from the ground and this again might be something we see Archer attempting at a much higher rate of eagerness. With the better wrestling and a blue belt level against a white belt level of BJJ, Archer would most defintely have the advantage should the fight end up in that domain. This fight looks to be razor tight competitive affair with both fighters holding similar records with similar finish rates and being very equal in size. Prediction: Archer by Submission. Archer might have the wrestling skills to close the distance and shut down Nukem from doing too much damage in the clinch. Because of that I see him having at least a few opportunities on the ground where Nukem will not be able to stop the submission. Round 2 - SEMI-FINAL (PO5) Winner PO1 vs Winner PO2 (PO6) Winner PO3 vs Winner PO4 Round 3 – FINAL Winner PO5 vs Winner PO6 5th Place Playoff – Semi-Final (FP1) (D3) Brian Marais v (A3) Pete Peterson Our first of two 5th Place Play-Off fights for fighters that finished third in their respective groups with the first being group D’s Brain Marais and group A’s Pete Peterson. BJJ Brown Belt Brian Marias wasn’t given any chance at all of moving on from the initial group stage as pure BJJ fighters have usually fared quite poorly in past tournaments . Adding to that doubt was Marias’ managers inexperience in the game at that time but that initial conclusion, I am pleased to say, has been completely unfounded as Marias has battled his way into fighting for fifth place and, in my opinion, that would be quite an achievement considering he was predicted to finish at the bottom of the pile. Of course, there is still a way to go from here and Marias will first have to get past his opponent here tonight but with big wins over Makhlamed Armagedonenov and predicted Group D winner Eunan Moray, Marais might be quietly confident. Looking to pick up the fifth place prize himself is Group A’s Pete Peterson who went into his final group stage fight against Abel Archer with the opportunity to actually snatch the top spot. It wasn’t to be however as Archer picked up a first round submission just before the five minute mark and Peterson was resigned to a third place finish behind Polly Paulson by only a single point. Peterson might have reason to feel a little aggrieved about that as his very respectable six point tally might have been enough to get him into the play-offs in other groups. Peterson comes into this fight with a record of 2-1-1 and will no doubt be looking to finish this tournament with a bang. In terms of match up this fight isn’t likely to bring many surprises as Marias will only ever really be looking to get this fight to the ground. How he will achieve that however might be a cause for concern for his camp however as so far he has not managed to figure out a way past the strong wrestling stand up fighters of which category Peterson falls certainly. His may potentially get a shot at pulling guard if Peterson dares to get that up close and personal but considering his solid skills at range, Peterson will likely prefer to keep as much distance from the skilled submission artist as possible. Prediction: Peterson by KO. This is Peterson’s fight to lose. Marias has been on the receving end of two KO losses out of four fights and without any real skills in either striking or wrestling, the only reason this fight would likely hit the floor is if Peterson chooses it to. Marias not only needs to get this fight to the floor, he needs top position too which against a wrestler like Peterson, is too much to ask surely? (FP2) (B3) Chris Chaitle v (C3) One Fortythree Our second 5th Place Play-Off fight is between Group B’s Chris Chaitle and Group C’s One Fortythree Chris “Lights On” Chaitle has done well to battle back from his 0-2 start in Group B and finish in third place after big wins against Crisostomo Ibarra and Gichin Funakoshi. The Funakoshi fight in particular gave us a great insight into just how good Chaitle could be on his day as Funakoshi was looking to be a strong candidate to move into the play-offs. Chaitle has a competent base in boxing and a purple belt in BJJ meaning that he can theoretically move between two extremes and have the confidence to at least hang with those better in certain areas long enough to beat them where the are weak. A clever game plan no doubt but that could very much be put to the test here tonight as he faces brawling wrestler One Fortythree. One Fortythree, like Chaitle, was disappointing early on in the group stage and also managed to go 0-2. He battled back well and picked up two first round TKO wins against Anders Silver and Rascals Alfalfa and managed to narrowly avoid crashing out of the tournament altogether. Fortythree has shown that he most dangerous in the clinch and also that he is no slouch on the ground as, although he lost in the end, he gave undefeated ground and pound monster Yataro his toughest fight and is the only fighter to go into the second round with him, largely off the back of his grappling defence. Now he gets a chance to continue the momentum he has gained and perhaps a little redemption for his disappointing group stage results. This is an interesting fight mainly down to the fact that we will witness two fighters currently in good form, go head to head and with very conflicting styles. Chaitle will fight on the inside or on the ground and Fortythree will want to fight in the clinch. Chaitle has and will pull guard to good effect from the clinch and has shown a strong ground game picking up a submission win from there while Fortythree seems tailor made for the ground and managed to hang for a good amount of time with ground monster Takayama Yataro. On paper this is likely to be a real tactical affair with whoever managing to keep the fight in their domain picking up the win. Prediction: Fortythree by Dec. Not a confident prediction at all as I can just as easily see either fighter picking up finish wins from different positions but overall I believe the wrestling to be the real key to unlocking this fight and on this occasion it is Fortythree in possession. Round 2 – FINAL Winner FP1 vs Winner FP2

  13. ROTI-03 (915157) http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/company/logo/1541074043edit.fw.png NOV 17, 2018 PADDY O'MALLEY'S BAR & GRILL THE ISLAND SPONSORED BY: VENUM MMA WEAR (5569) Rise on the Island is back with some fantastic fights as fighters from around the world have appeared on the Island and now are going through the fights to stay alive and find a way home. They all feel that by winning may earn them the opportunity, so there is no holding back for anyone when the bell rings. Lets look at the top fights of the evening! Main Event 185 LBS Domenik "The Barbarian" Panayotov (341618) vs. Rush Sanchez (341557) Two fighters who passed their 1st test in the cage advanced with a win will look to continue their streak as they will face each other in the main event at 185 lbs. Panayotov (1-0) is a dangerous striker who won by KO in his 1st fight. He has a solid chin and with good footwork and bobbing and weaving will need to keep his distance from from Sanchez in this fight. Panayotov landed at will and dominated his fight standing up and showed great discipline working on the ground using his wrestling skills to neutralize and improve his positioning to get back to his feet. His wrestling will be used more for breaking the clinch rather than getting off the ground against Sanchez. Rush Sanchez (1-0) won by decision, but was the more aggressive fighter showing his dominating skills in the thai clinch by landing 55 total strikes from the clinch and also a perfect 100 % in leg and body kicks out of the 7 he attempted. Sanchez does have a slight height and reach advantage in which he no doubt use those legs of his, and to weaken his opponents speed and agility where he wont be able to escape the clinch. If Panayotov can land often and early and defend the clinch attempts this will come down to the total strking ability and defense of punches vs kicks. Prediction: Sanchez by TKO 145 LBS Hogo "Hogmanizer" Sparky (341728) vs. Gianmarco "Jimmy" Lobosco (341740) Both 25 year olds and both are in their debut with ROTI tonight. Sparky is the shorter fighter and will have a distinct leverage advantage to use his wrestling which is superior to Lobosco's and take this fight down. He has a purple belt in bjj, and will use this extensively to try to end the fight as Lobosco is adequate with a blue belt, but the longer the fight goes on the ground, the better the chances go for Sparky. One determining factor could be energy, as both managers have forgotten to rest up their fighters prior to the time, so Sparky and Lobosco are not 100% and this could change the fight as it unfolds. Prediction: Sparky by Sub, armbar 145 LBS Martin Eugen (341577) vs. Black "Venom" Mirez (341570) Another debut fight for two 25 year olds as we have a classic stand up striker versus a grappler match up. Eugen is the shorter fighter, but he will have a hard time closing the distance with his opponent who is much taller than him and will have a reach advantage. Eugen has wonderful boxing, but will have to get in close and then move back out again to prevent Mirez from grappling with him and taking him down. Eugen will need to connect hard and fast, and as quickly in the early stages of this fight in my opinion. Mirez, also known as "Venom" will need to slip and avoid the more technical strikes of his opponent and will need to mix up his strategy from clinch to takedowns if he wants to get to the ground. He needs to be able to take some hits in order to get what he wants, and if he does succeed in getting the fight to the ground he should end it there as he has better wrestling and a purple belt in bjj over Eugen who will more or less be on a defensive mode there. Prediction: Mirez by Sub, Kimura 155 LBS Raymond "The Zirconia" Denkers (341692) vs. Tino "Scissors" Tropper (341711) Two debuting fighters here at 25 years old. Both fighters look the same and there are some obvious style differences when you look at their training background. Denkers has a edge on muay thai and wrestling while Tropper counters with wrestling and jiu jitsu. Either fighter was willing to give details about their lives before the Island, and neither have fought yet so what indications there are is that this will be a war on the ground. If Denkers muay thai has good kicks, he could try to keep the fight standing and fight there with an advantage, but look for Tropper to get in close and get the fight down and let it be him with a more offensive mind set from the submission stand point. Denkers will need good defensive grappling and hope he can land some ground n pound or escape back to his feel to take the morale away from Tropper. Many ways in which this fight could end up depending on secondary abilities, physicals, and game plans. Prediction: Denkers by Dec, he lands kicks and some clinch strikes, stabilizes the ground fight 170 LBS Xtreme "Lost Cause" Islander (341514) vs. Darius "O2" Wolchow (341614) Two debuting 25 year olds in this fight. Wolchow holds a slight reach and height advantage between them. Islander has better boxing and than Wolchow, and it is here he will look to attack and occupy the fight on the feet with his opponent. Wolchow has the superior wrestling but is almost just as good with muay thai as Islander, which I believe is the key to this fight. Many people would say, nahhh he is a wrestler and will win on the ground and perhaps so, but what we don't know is the hiddens and secondary abilities of these fighters just yet, and remember muay thai can mean a lot of different styles, it could be a stand up distance strikes with kicks or it could mean a clinch dirty boxing, or clinch with elbows or knees. Having superior wrestling will also help that clinch from being hard to break or escape from which could lead to a flashback of Anderson Silva defeating Rich Franklin in the UFC a decade ago where Franklin couldn't escape the clinch and ate knee after knee after knee. So, personally the only way Islander will see success is to keep his distance and be sharp, but for Wolchow I'd have to give the upper hand on the feet or on the ground. Prediction: Wolchow by KO, Knee ROTI-3 breakdown and analysis brought to you by Slade Sanders! I hope everyone enjoys the fights and will look forward to covering the next event!

  14. 1.) Absolutely true. 2.) Also true. The accelerated pace of the Island should more than compensate your fighters even if they are only getting a few K$ per fight. 3.) Huh? Not sure I understand what you are saying here. 4.) Is that all the older the VIP exchange is? I thought it was much older then that. I could certainly be wrong, but I thought it was around years ago. 5.) Generally true on all points. Unfortunately. However, Blake Phoenix made it to number one by way of flagrant disregard for the rules on multis. That said he also has no respect from the community as a result, but I somehow don't think he gives a shit. This is solid advice, honestly. When you start out you should be fighting in the Island and ID restricted orgs anyway. While you will certainly run into managers with fat greasy stacks of cash that they use for private gym training and so on, and that may well translate to an ass-whopping for your new fighters and your general lack of experience, you will eventually develop your skills and with that will come more money. then you will be able to get yourself into better private gyms and so on and then you will get your fighters looking downright beastly. You will start to win more fights then you lose and your general enjoyment of the game will improve. I know all this because that is pretty much exactly what's been happening with me Don't let the cheaters discourage you. You CAN get to number one without ever cheating (Ovo is a prime example of that), and even I have broken into the top fifty twice now. So, you play your game and fuck the cheaters. The fact is that we, as a community can opt not to sign guys like Phoenix or the other multis on here and with luck they will go away. That hasn't happened so far which may be why they stick around. But if we, the players want them gone it is up to us to make that happen. P.S. Even on the mainland your fighters should probably start fighting about 9- 12 weeks in and then fight every 3-4 weeks which would, (or should), still keep them in the black until they can get a better contract.

  15. Yes ovo got a point multi accounts won't help you win real fights. But it will help you with just about everything else money, hype etc. Meaning it takes away all other aspects of the game called MMA Tycoon and makes it a simple set sliders and fight game. Which fortunately happens to be good enough on its own to retain a playerbase. But seeing a known multi abuser picking up a good free agent ahead of you is somewhat disheartening.

  16. Ok I'll set up an org with only multi fighters and drive it all the way to #1. Should be easy with no fights ever declined and full control over results. I'll give it a good name to be displayed on the front page. Want to bet if I can get all the way there without being banned? Will be a nice income as well to send over to my main account. Not to talk about if I happen to roll some perfect hidden star fighter, I can always sack and pick up with my main account.. which I build the hype on by safely beating my multis. Actually no I won't, would be boring as hell doing the grind and I don't have the time to run multi accounts anyway.

  17. From what I'm gathering at least, multi-accounts would benefit folks (even after money isn't a concern in mainland) in the following ways though, which again, is not consistently applied and therefore, out of principle, is just wrong: - Definite advantage on the island where funding is limited to start if they can run a business with a multi-account while still having one on the mainland. - Definite advantage in being able to play with way more fighters at a time to try out different things, etc. - Definite advantage in promoting and building up their own fighter's records and hype by setting up matches with their own multi's fighters or other "friend's" multi fighters that neither cares about.

  27. Duke Nukem: I let Anders Silver throw everything he had in his toolkit at me and took it with a smile. I'm getting better, stronger, faster every fight. Every day in training I'm picking up new skills and techniques, every fight I'm tuning my game just a little but tighter. I've been beaten before, but Archer won't be able. Once he feels how hard I hit he will turn into a grappler real fast; unfortunately for him he won't be able to take me down. It's going to be a bad newsday for Able Archer.

  29. Not just one there have been a few. But cheated is hard to say as there were no rules against it that i know of. The one you are probably talking about is the one most famous for it Blake Phoenix. Who fought in his brother's org and was fed by I'm guessing can crushing to get there. Which Blake does know his slider game anyways. But ethically that is bs. But as far as I know his brother and him don't share the same ip address. And if they don't then there were no rules broken by that. If they do then there was. Because game rules are the same ip can't have correlation with eachother or it's considered a multi. Whole reason my brother wants to play but he wants me to mentor him, be in the same alliance, and use my gym. Which is why i told him to find a different game then because I'm not getting banned as we live together.
