  1. Ive seen you post that before but id forgotten, thank you.
  2. I remember reading a thread about gyms and investing in coaches. This was awhile ago and i believe an old thread anyway, but JLP was talking about the diminishing returns of say an elite level coach training someone with far inferior skills. I dont remember exactly but he discussed the diminishing returns of a coach being so far superior in skill that the skill gain of the inferior fighter would be minimal, or hit a wall so to speak in terms of the difference. Has anyone found a more exact recipe regarding how far advanced a coaches level should be compared to that of the fighter training?
  3. I continue to make mistakes regardless of how much money i have. You give me a million and i will blow it if i dont have the right people around me. So please be cautious with your investments.
  4. Ill let you slide, but only because you have the coolest brand graphics, and i like pie.
  5. Well what determines the strength of the chin is a hidden right? So would it not be as simple as adding another hidden in addition to heart and energy and the other things that affect chin? I say simply loosely mind you, because i have no idea how easy or difficult it would be to implement, but it seems like everyone agrees with the concept. This is a sim after all.
  6. jesus christ, every sucker in this game crawled out from under a rock to beg.
  7. I really really did not want to respond to your self defeating arguments because i dont speak stupid and im not sure how. With that said, when you create an in game economy, what economy are you basing it on? Real life economics dont have the consequences that this game does, so please explain the logic to me.
  8. I appreciate the humor, but i would like a real answer. Or at least a link to where that answer is provided.

    Body Shots

I know theres been discussion about implementing body shot T/KO's or knockdowns, but is it something that has been decided one way or the other or is it still just talk? How difficult would it be to implement and why? Would it not be a near mirror formula as the chin?
  10. This sounds good in theory but the only way this could effectively be utilized is if you were there to witness the fight round by round and make adjustments at rest points in between. You would have to change everything. Otherwise, i think youd end up shooting yourself in the foot. Rambo is getting a bad rap for his comments because i know how cool this idea sounds, but hes right because actually putting it into play would mean basically creating a whole new game.
  11. I dont know what the actual percentage loss is in skill gain by spamming the same training sessions, but if that is what you need the most, then its better than not training it at all. Personally ive never noticed much of a difference, but thats what i've read. When i have 12 straight sessions of a particular skill, given your energy and morale are adequate, the skill gain has stayed pretty high for me. If someone knows the exact percentage drop off i would love to know myself.
  12. Get a mentor, or join an alliance that can help guide you through the game. I dont care what the topic is.
  13. I understand your grammar fine, but you would be wise to get a mentor.
  14. I know, im new and should shut the fuck up. But how much money is already invested into a company before it goes bankrupt? Thats not punishment enough? You have to sap a players VIP time too? Sounds like a brilliant way to keep people around. If an LLC goes under, you lose the investment capital. No one comes to your house and rapes your wife, steals your car, and burns down your house. *edit* you can vote me down all you want but id appreciate it you had some semblance of understanding of how business works. Youve created a multipage thread of how to screw yourselves over and its pretty laughable.
  15. If the natural aptitude was removed, and i had asked about this in a noob thread a couple days ago, how does this affect the decline of an aging fighter? All things just whither and die equally now? And it costs a shitload of VIP time to retire a fighter...I thought he was making plenty of money on the gambling site, why bleed people even more if thats the only motive?
  16. Ive seen guys with high hype grab 2 or 3 guys at one time, meanwhile im waiting a month to get just 1. I may not like it, but it is what it is. Gotta earn your stripes.
  17. If you train nothing but boxing, you see the secondary and physicals affected by that. If i train nothing but punch tech, you see the associated primary and physicals affected. Remember mario kart? If you ever got behind there was a system in place to increase your speed to catch up with the rest of the pack. Is that a loose basis for what occurs?
  18. They all seem connected like a rubberband. Whatever the primary strengths, tend to have a direct influence on the secondary, and dare i say physical attributes, associated with that primary depending on the level of the primary itself. As you say, if i have high boxing, then the rubberband effect would cause an accelerated rate of learning according to those associated secondaries, and possibly physicals. Again, as you said, intelligence would definitely have an effect, but would not change the rule. Am i close? *EDIT* and vise versa. If i have high secondaries, could i not make the same argument that learning the associated primary would be easier?
  19. Being able to communicate with whatever org im fighting in makes a big difference regarding the health of the relationship they have with you. I know having to double check a couple hundred fighters status is part of the job of running a fight org, but everyone is human and might miss someone. Talk to them.

    City

A little bird had informed me of not needing to actually fly to the location of the fight, ill let the mentors educate their pupils on this, but if this changes i would hope we would all have fair warning.
  21. I have noticed a discrepancy in training regarding secondaries. Maybe its my imagination, but some guys seem to learn standup skills faster than ground, and vice versa depending on the original build. This is with 1 on 1 elite secondary training. So to the point of the original post, if your primaries are higher in boxing and muay thai, will you learn punch tech faster? Same question with bjj and wrestling for the associated secondaries.
  22. I dont understand why retirement acts as form of punishment. You put your heart into developing a fighter and are unfairly taxed for wanting them to exit with grace. If theres a reasonable explanation i have yet to hear one.
  23. As limited as my experience is, something in particular i have noticed about the prediction slider, or perhaps moreso checking the adapt to fight, is that it doesnt take into consideration the intended use of the skillset of your fighter. If your a standup fighter and want to avoid the clinch because your afraid of the takedown and want to avoid giving your opponent any opportunity to obtain one, its not intelligent enough to know not to do that. If your fighting a mirror build then i think its worth using.
  24. I think your making very good arguments. As i understand it, there is a current debate about changing the roles that retired fighters can fill amongst the powers that be. Im being repetitious but i feel you make a lot of good points that reflect reality.
  25. Your right on that. I lost the point of the topic.
