  1. I'm was thinking right now about picking up a FA, mostly to get some higher-level slider experience while training my younger fighters. The hardest part for me is to know which FA would be a good pick.
  2. Glass Joe vs. Naruto Uzumaki My first org fight, happy to get a victory. That guy sure was persistent with the takedowns. Was afraid he would get me there on the ground for a while when I had some difficulties to recover guard, but following my managers instructions worked out in the end, he was simply too tired to keep his hands up in the last round.
  3. I think you need to agree on the deal with someone and get the money first, then you buy it directly for that manager. Someone more experienced will soon be around and correct me on this if I'm wrong
  4. Don't worry, even if not going VIP I would have fought out my contracts, really looking forward to some more fights. And now I'm in for the long run, got my VIP, time to start some 18 year olds and aim for the top First one of my fighters to show a sign of weakness will have a new career washing clothes and carrying water bottles.
  5. I could never see any skill pops during my VIP trial, not sure if it was a bug or a trial limit. I know there were changes in skill level. Sounds like I would want a PA eventually, hear the term mentioned somewhere before but never figured out you would need to retire a fighter first.
  6. Might be it is a bit more difficult in the beginning with public gyms and sometimes having to take the training spots that are not too crowded already. But thanks, this thread already gave me some useful tips.
  7. So, end of VIP trial. Time to decide if this game is worth making a serious effort for or not. There are definitely some good parts, I like the strategy of the training and fight tactics parts. I like the pacing, I like the game being a long-term thing. Appreciate the level of detail and complexity that goes into a lot of things like the skill system. I don't like the micromanagement parts, as having to micromanage what is practically non-decisions like what supplement type to eat for each training session and clothes changes. This will get more and more tedious over time. Especially when adding additional fighters. Obviously, if you are in here you probably think the game is more fun than chores. But how do you cope with the less interesting parts of it? Maybe I just missed something obvious like the button "yes please autochange supplements to the appropriate one depending on training type".
  8. Today I had two fighters both starting out with 100% energy. A was training weights with muscle bulk supplement, B was training a secondary with energy loss supplement. They have the same conditioning level (maybe differing 1-3 points within the displayed level). After training difference in energy loss was 0.02% more remaining for B. Does this mean that energy loss varies with training type? Or that I bought a fake energy loss supplement? Edit: Sorry, could be that I mixed up my notes, will need to re-test before I publically shame any nutrition company.
  9. I cannot remember ever joining any alliance, seems to be some default thing. I would be more interested in something smaller with a few people but all being more active in the alliance.
  10. This Tycoon Alliance I seem to be a member of, is there any point in staying in it at all?
  11. Thursdays 10.55pm GMT, and also initially when you sign up for a new gym.
  12. Had the same thought, maybe the solution is to team up and share a gym on two managers with the other running a company to bring in the money for it?
  13. Thanks, slightly above my current budget.. but nice to have an idea about things like this.
  14. Say that I eventually want to run a private gym to give my own fighters top class training. What kind of economy does it take to do this? As in cost per week to maintain such a gym.
  15. I found out now after buying there already is a shipping fee in the game, so please ignore this.
  16. It's just the oldtimers teaching us noobs how things are done around here, watch and learn
  17. Yes in this game I can see how it feels like that as I suppose there are no more grappling specific sliders beyond what you have for an MMA fight. But that would be an interesting idea btw to have some grappling only sliders, there's a whole open guard game out there barely covered by the existing ones. But of course they are not covered in the match engine either. So what is happening behind the scenes in our grappling tournaments are no fancy Jeff Glover acrobatics, rather just one guy trying to break the other guys closed guard and kimura him for 15 minutes. So yes you do have a point.
  18. I'm interesting in making a grappler and trying this eventually, but not sure what city/organization would be a good place to start out in for it.
  19. There is the 3 day shipping time but apart from that it seems the location of a business doesn't make much difference and the market is pretty much global. If you also added a small shipping fee it would give some advantage to local business in their home city.
  20. I sniffed out some rumours about various exploity and less than honest practises around this in the past so I will be wary about accepting any such matchups in general but probably ok with it in your case.
  21. If you do this then please also make it easy to just copy the settings for the first round to all rounds so you don't have to spend too much time just repeating the same settings.
  22. Yes, on my free trial now, planning to buy VIP later. Probably good for me to get a little bit more experience before I start my 18 year olds.
  23. Yay, I feel I got this slider thing all figured out now. I'll hold on to that feeling while it lasts
  24. I typically do check in several times a day, at least to see if something happened. I'm in your org, but I'm not one of your unresponsive managers What I was thinking about was rather that I like not having the pressure to always do stuff here. If there is a fight coming up I don't need to be there for it, I can set all sliders days in advance, I can set up my training schedules and have it run a couple of days with no further attention etc. I can do things when I got the time for it. But yes, if I'm expecting fight offers or other things to happen I'll keep a tab open. And I like the long-term planning about how to develop my fighters, makes you consider your choices more carefully than if you could just play through a whole fighter career in a day. But having said that, right now I am also a bit restless having everything set up and just waiting for action.. only had one QFC fight and I want more..
  25. So if you don't set the sliders to 100%, just 99%, then a high SHIG could still help you change things up during the fight if your "focused" tactics doesn't work out.. something like that has been my theory at least but completely untested.
