  1. You're right... "Virtually" under water. 🤣
  2. Miami will be under water in a few years... 🙄
  3. Happy to see fresh blood on the scene. People were rumbling about Mike being MIA and not caring anymore, but this proves that he does care, at least. I eagerly anticipate the changes and to see what you have in store for this game. Lord knows I've tried to quit, but the game just brings you back.. the potential is undeniable, and if you can just scratch the surface of that potential, I'm sure we will all be very pleased. Best of luck to you, we will all be eager to see your vision come to fruition.
  4. Yeah, there isn't a lot of forum activity these days. Hell, I'm as guilty of that as anyone. I'd be willing to buy and build a basic website with an added forum for the use, but I don't think that would garner any more support than here. Of course, if I bring on staff to help, maybe we can just do it by fighters DM'n me or someone else their call outs, and I can in turn notify the other manager and see about brokering the fight. But yeah, it will be an uphill battle. I just wish I had a way to spread the word to see if I could get some more input/feedback on the idea as to how to make it work.
  5. So I have been bored as hell of late, so I figured why not to try something fun. I have no clue if this will be the laughing stock of the community, or if we can bounce some ideas to see if it can work. Here's the general idea.. "Call Out" A fight org where you pick your opponent. Fighters will take to the forums, or via Buzz to call out an opponent. Now, there are so many things that can branch from here as we'd have to consider.. Obviously, the fighter has to accept. Once the fight is accepted, it gets approved through management. This is primarily to avoid a skilled fighter padding his record by taking on a scrub looking for a payday. Not that this can't happen at times to fill a card, but I don't think it would be a good idea for a common practice. Fight cards will be booked (minimum 7 days out) once we reach at least 5 fights. We will then try to fill up the card with any additional last second call outs that occur. If we end up with a 5 fight card, so be it. This will be most likely a small niche group of managers competing or for "one off's" between two beefing managers or alliances. With this format, you don't have to remain on the roster pick your fights. You can call out another fighter from another org and work out the fight. This would be a neutral ground if fighters want a fight but neither org is willing to let the other benefit. Not likely to happen often, but it's an option. Also would allow for hosting of alliance vs alliance style tournaments or contests of might. Possibilities are limitless, honestly. As for an active roster, if a fighter wants to begin his career here and pick and choose fights at will, that is perfectly acceptable. Activity clauses can be set at 3 days or some short number. If we were to hold any divisions with a title and allow fighters to take a shot via call out at the champ, I'm sure we can work out a functioning way to make that happen. Perhaps the first two fighters in the division to reach 3 consecutive wins get a title shot. And from then, once a fighter wins "X" fights in a row, they are eligible to call out the champ. If no fighter reaches such goal in "X" days/weeks from the last title fight, the champ gets to make the call out. Again, there's so much that would go into this in laying the foundation and coming up with rules to keep it as fair and neutral as possible. But I think it'd be fun to compete with a fighter or two in a situation like this, allowing me to fight only a few times here and there while I train, then more active as I desire. Once you're ready to go, move on to an established org and see how you stack up. Make some enemies along the way, call them out, and come back to show them what "Call Out" is all about. I don't know, maybe I'm just high and this conversation should have never seen the light of day. However, I truly feel this could be a fun set up for someone like me who can't seem to leave this game and just needs a little flavor mixed in to give it a new appeal. So, I'd love to hear some feedback on this, and any suggestions to make this something worth trying.
  6. Artemis Entreri "Keep lining 'em up, and I'll keep knocking them out!" It's pretty easy to manage a fighter who never backs down from a challenge and has the confidence this man has. I don't even know what to say anymore, this man is a KO king. He told me that he was raw, but that I wouldn't regret signing him, and he's lived up to his word. He's now won 6 in a row, all by KO/TKO. 3-0 since joining APEX and the Savage program, and he takes that title to heart. With a steady flow of performances like this, it's evident in his body of work that he truly embraces the Savage mentality. From a training perspective, Artemis has never had a lack of raw power and the ability to land the money shot when standing, but he's really come on of late working on his ground defense. Before, he used to tell me a fight wouldn't make it to the ground before his opponent was sleeping, and it's hard to question that. But after stressing to him that the competition would only keep getting stronger, he's really dug in and put in work in his ground game. I'm very proud of the fighter he has become, and extremely excited to see how high he can go as he puts all of these skills together.
  7. Artemis Entreri 2-0 KT 5-0 MMA 0-1 Test fight Artemis - "Oops, I did it again!" Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:10 of round 1 we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Artemis Entreri! I will try to write something up for this update in a few days when I have some time off. In the mean time, just know that Artemis is going around showing people his recently created KO highlight reel. Apparently, women like aggressive men.
  8. Artemis Entreri "McBeth improved, he lasted 2 more seconds this time around.. Who's next?"
  9. Savage Rising Star - Vol. 2 Artemis Entreri A heavy hand met with a granite chin, and in less than one minute, this fight met an early end. I don't know if it was the excitement for the challenge of facing another KO artist, if it was extra motivation for becoming a Savage fighter, or maybe he just wanted to put on a good show before the move to Apex. Hell, who am I kidding, it was a little of each of the above, but the reality is "The Assassin" is a cold blooded killer who likes to push the limits. He stepped into the cage in a fight that I truly felt could have gone either way. Both guys were able to end fights early with their power, and Thuta has shown to have a granite chin as well. Entreri took that as motivation and turned in his best fight to date with a 49 second KO victory. Next up, his first official fight in APEX, Entreri will be stepping into the cage with Mustafa McBeth. This fight is only a few days away as Entreri felt his previous fight hadn't really been much of a fight and didn't want to waste the camp. So next up! McBeth is another young up and coming striker with elite boxing skills and two KO victories under his belt. The only problem is, he's also got a single KO loss under his belt as well. Can you guess who handed him that defeat? You got it, Entreri finished that fight in a minute and a half, but to be fair, it is the longest anyone has stood against him to this point in his young career. His sparring match with teammate aside, of course. What does this mean for Entreri? It means two things. 1) McBeth will want revenge and is coming into this with a chip on his shoulder, and 2) The Assassin will be putting this to rest and laying claim to the KO of the Night award on Sept. 24th, of the year of the Savage, 2023.
  10. Thank you, he did well. He's got a savage right for sure.
  11. Artemis Entreri Savage Rising Star, Vol. 1 "The Assassin" has looked great in his last two bouts, finishing both of his opponents in the first round. This is nothing new to Entreri, but the money is better than what he's used to. In the past 4 years, he's unofficially KO'd 17 opponents, 3 in the same night, and all quick enough to escape the boys in blue who showed up to sort out the mess. But with that behind him, he's focused on the next man up. His next opponent will not be an easy fight. This man is trained and managed by a great team and to underestimate him would be dangerous, to say the least. While Artemis has a mean streak, he must keep his composure and not allow himself to be rattled in the cage. His opponent, Thuta, has appeared in two title fights to date, and while going 0-1-1 in those fights, it takes a hell of a fighter to be in the position to earn that shot. And on a 3 fight win streak, Thuta is definitely looking for another one. I spoke to Artemis about this fight and he had the following to say... Artemis "Man, this is going to be a brawl! Did you see that dude's KO over Vitalk? Sick ass spinning backfist. I'm gonna have to try that some time. The dude is for real, 3 in a row is hard to do. And when I win this fight and make it 3 in a row myself, you can bet your ass I'll be looking forward at that gold strap sooner rather than later." Well, guess you have your answer. He's confident, maybe overly so. But a win here will give him a leg to stand on as being the Savage that he is. Shout out for the work on the savage card. It looks great, but doesn't paste well to the forums. Click the link (name) above to take a look!
  12. Hey guys, I'm looking for a new owner for SYN. I no longer have a desire to play the game thanks to a certain group of people who seem to only play this game to make others lives miserable. You guys know who you are, so good job, you win. I don't even know what the beef was about, but I'm over this High School drama shit you guys want to play. So, I'm tapping out. I'll not be a dick (unlike them) and just shut down the org and screw over the roster. But you guys can have this game, and for you dip shits who only play to be a complete douche, kudos.. I hope this makes you happy so that you can start acting like grown ups and get over yourselves.
  13. I didn't even consider that... can it even work? I have plenty of unused avatars I can switch to if need be.
  14. I added a profile for Artemis. Let's just roll with him as my nomination. Thanks!
  15. Edit: I didn't read correctly, thought it said minimum of 10 fights. With that said, quick and easy change. Nomination: Hoodoo Brown or Artemis Entrari. Dealer's choice!
  16. I placed my bet on each fight on the card. Who wants some?
  17. Sorry for the formatting. Looks like ass, didn't have access to my normal software.
  18. SYN 1000 Maluga vs Puno II 04 JULY 2023 LA Memorial Colossuseum Sponsored by Shadow Realm Apparel Event Discussion Thread Greetings SYNers! Welcome to an amazing card to kick of our one thousandth event. That's right, this event will be the big number 1000 in the books, a mile marker that very few organizations have ever achieved. Speaking of milestones, this was an extremely important milestone to the man who's kept this organization peeking at a high level and setting records left and right. This man being, Keyshawn Stacks. In the time he was at the lead of SYN, he took strides to help repair some issues and brought on staff to turn SYN into a well oiled machine. Setting records for PPV sales, highest rated events, and then turning around and breaking those recors again months later. He has left very large shoes to fill, and this card should have been his baby. So I step into his shoes to put on a show, but it's up to the managers and fighters to make this card live up to the bill. So I would like to ask you to make this card one for the ages, as we put on a show in honor of Keyshawn Stacks, and I would officially like to introduce and welcome Mr. Stacks to the Synchronicity Hall of Fame as one of the top owners to ever hold the title. We have a special card lined up with a whopping 6 titles on the line, and none other but the legend himself, Kilo Maluga in a rematch against Puno to headline this card in what is sure to be a monumentally epic night for Kilo, SYN, and all his followers around the world. More into that later. For now, let's jump into the fighter breakdowns for this card. I'll let your imagination fill in the rest. For the fighters on this card you all know and love (or hate) so you likely know what's going to happen, so go place your bets! Samuel Sycek vs Mickey Garcia Fighter: Samuel Sycek Age: 26 Record: 13-7 SYN: 1-1 Country: Czech Republic Manager: J Thorgrin Name: Mickey "The Celtic Aztec" Garcia Age: 34 Record: 31-15-1 SYN: 2-4 Country: USA Manager: Buff Minion Thoughts: This seems like a bit of a one sided match up, and with Sycek not mentally being up to the task, expect Garcia to finish this one in the first round. Davido Branko vs Lusmu Kutvonen Name: Davdio "Bjj" Branko Age: 32 Record: 25-20 SYN: 6-7 Country: Sweden Manager: Shape Shifter Name: "Savon Gansteri" Lusmu Kutvonen Age: 36 Record: 29-16-2 SYN: 12-6-1 Country: Finland Manager: Bloody Gutz Thoughts: Both guys are coming off of a loss to the current champ, Hlervu who's fighting later on this card. What does this mean? Probably nothing, but the winner will be the one more likely to step into the cage for the strap in the not too distant future. Kutvonen may look to capitalize on his red belt, but this fight can (and probably will) go every position possible, just a matter of who can capitalize sooner. Braynas Hlervu vs Bethania Valverde (135 Title Fight) Name: "The Many-Faced God" Braynas Hlervu Age: 39 Record: 32-16 SYN: 2-0 Country: Western Sahara Manager: Jet Name: "Countess" Bethania Valverde Age: 27 Record: 15-6 SYN: 2-0 Country: Spain Manager: John Daugherty Thoughts: Well, this should be a great fight. Talk about a hot start? Hlervu stepped into SYN with a title fight as his welcome and he did not disappoint in taking the belt. Some were not overly happy with his quick shot at the gold, but he quickly solidified his position to the claim with a quick first round TKO victory in his first title defense. At this weight class, it's not common to find guys with enough pop to win via KO, and that's exactly what Hlervu has been doing. Valverde will have a lot of work to do to win this one, but don't count out the Countess. A champion at Bellicose and now already in the spotlight with a shot to grab the gold, don't think that Valverde is taking this shot lightly. Kaarlo Susi vs Fabiano Capellio Name: Kaarlo Susi Age: 25 Record: 15-4 SYN: 2-1 Country: Finland Manager: Taina Valkoinen Name: Fabiano Capellio Age: 32 Record: 20-4 SYN: 4-0 Country: Italy Manager: Giuseppe Folioli Thoughts: Susi is young, very young. At only 25 years old, Susi is already winning on the biggest stage. He fell short last time out against Wolf, but many have fell to that fate. Susi keeps stepping up into the spotlight, and more importantly, keeps winning. He's got his work cut out for him as he's going up against another beast in Capellio, only Cpellio has been around a while and gained some experience over the youth. Will this be a youth movement, or will the veteran knock Susi back down to earth. Darsin Bleak vs Rod De Minaur Name: "Sandman" Darsin Bleak Age: 31 Record: 26-7 SYN: 7-4 Country: USA Manager: Outlaw Bleak Name: Rod "Demon" De Minaur Age: 31 Record: 31-8 SYN: 4-3 Country: Australia Manager: Igor Peixoto Thoughts: And the last non title fight of the night! Bleak is coming off a title loss, and I happen to know first hand that he's looking to quickly turn things around. Unfortunately, I also know that he's going up against tone of the top 155 fighters in the world in Rod De Minaur. Rod had a hell of a run capturing the 155 title and holding it until he ran into Tacitus Kilgore and lost a close fight via decision. Including that fight, he's now lost 3 of his last 4 and no way in hell that's sitting well with Rod or his manager. Rod has the skills and experience to take out Bleak, but Bleak has proven he can scrap with anyone, so we'll see who wants it more in this one. Colby Gebhardt vs Evan Duvernay (145 Title Fight) Name: Colby Gebhardt Age: 31 Record: 19-6 SYN: 5-2 Country: USA Manager: Maurice Simmons Name: Evan "Le Tueure" Duvernay Age: 31 Record: 28-10 SYN: 9-8 Country: France Manager: P J Jones Thoughts: Duvernay is hungry for the gold. He's not tasted gold since joining SYN, having lost both of his previous title shots to Dick Pawlick. Of late, under new management, Duvernay is now 5-3 and has won 5 of his last 7. Gebhardt will not go down easy as he's won 5 strait and will look to make it 6 as he steps up for his 2nd title defense. Olyn Seran vs Tactius Kilgore (155 Title Fight) Name: "The Conjurer" Olyn Seran Age: 35 Record: 28-17-1 SYN: 10-7 Country: USA Manager: David Septim Name: Tacitus Kilgore Age: 37 Record: 38-15 SYN: 6-2 Country: USA Manager: Billy Arseworth Thoughts: Seran is the champ, newly crowned. He's yet to prove he can hold the belt as he won it from Bleak who he had already defeated. Now, he'll put the belt on the line in his first title defense against a former champ who had a nice run until he ran into Graves. now, he's got a shot at getting that belt back and no doubt he's going to go all out to get back what he feels is rightfully his. Joe Exotic vs Oke Swahn (185 Title Fight) Name: Joe Exotic Age: 31 Record: 28-11-2 SYN: 13-3-2 Country: USA Manager: Billy Arseworth Name: Oke Swahn Age: 28 Record: 17-4-1 SYN: 2-0-1 Country: Sweden Manager: Jorma Oltsu Thoughts: Exotic was on top of the division for a long time. He lost his belt to Augustus and has been on a mission since to get it back. He had the shot last time out, but the judges ruled it a draw and both he and Swahn will have to run it back to make things right. The second fight should be even more exciting than the first, and maybe we'll get luck and the fight won't be left in the judges hands! Torhte Finlayson vs Khalil Burnett (265+ Title Fight) Name: Torhte "Gingy Bear" Finlayson Age: 35 Record: 42-4-0 SYN: 2-0 Country: Scotland Manager: Action Jackson Name: Khalil Burnett Age: 32 Record: 13-4 SYN: 4-2 Country: Australia Manager: Leon Price Thoughts: Man, what else can you say? 42-4? It seems like betting against Finlayson is losing odds every time. But, he's lost 4 so he can be defeated. Burnett got close last time, very close. They will be running it back to make sure that the judges didn't get it wrong. Kilo Maluga vs Adan Puno (265 Title Fight) Name: Kilo "Bloodbath" Maluga Age: 38 Record: 61-14 SYN: 48-10 Country: Kiribati Manager: Chris Karter Fighter: Adan Puno Age: 30 Record: 16-5 SYN: 4-2 Country: Philippines Manager: Freako Wimp Thoughts: We all know it by now, Kilo is a first ballot Hall of Famer with a resume so long it ran my printer out of paper twice, and ink once. He's had 61 knockouts, every single win of his career was by a knockout. How insane is that? What a career for Kilo. Why do I talk him up so much? Not to overshadow his opponent, Adan Puno, who is an extremely talented fighter who's also a heavy hitter and has won 3 of his last 4. Former DMMA champion who lost his SYN intro fight to Kilo for the belt. Now, they meet again, and again it's for the belt. We mentioned in our intro the significance of this card in being the 1000th event in SYN history, and that we introduce Keyshawn Stacks to the SYN Hall of Fame. Such a monumental event can't start with a roar and not end with a bang, right? What more fitting of a "bang" than a Kilo title fight to headline possibly the most significant card in org history. What makes it a fitting end, is that tonight will be the last time this particular bang will ever be experienced again. Win or lose, Kilo will be fighting for the last time in the cage. I have been unable to get a clear answer on if there is a medical reason behind the decision, but Kilo has had one hell of an amazing career and will undoubtedly go down into SYN history books as one of the greatest fighters to ever step in the cage. I want to officially send Kilo off to the Bahamas with a salute for a historic career of service in the cage. He's been a surgent as he's disected opponents, a dentist as he gave many opponents free teeth extraction. He's been a love demon, a psychologist, writer, philosipher, and well, frankly, just about anything he's wanted to be in the cage. There's nothing that man can't do inside of a cage, and I hope we hear from you again in some form in the future. Perhaps as a coach, commentator, or just a popular ringside guest hitting on the ring girls. No doubt, we'll look forward to inducting you into the Hall of Fame sooner rather than later as well.

  21. Supernova is hours away! Tune in, place your bets, and talk your shit! Let's get this party started!
  22. SYN Supernova XIII 22 APR 2023 LA Memorial Colossuseum, Los Angeles Hello everyone! Bleak here coming to you with the next chapter of SYN evolution and I’m brimming with excitement to work with the staff and managers here at the greatest org in the business. This is my first time to be involved with a Supernova promotion and I hope this preview does it justice as this is one of the greatest events on the planet and I can only hope to live up to the hype. As you know, Supernova is a monster. Every title is on the line, every MMA fan in the world will be tuning in for at least one of these fights, if not all. You’ve got the #1 P4P fighter in the world headlining this card in a title defense searching to set historical records. Co-headlining this event is another SYN champ on a nice run having recently travelled to Combate to exert SYN style dominance there. Obviously, with 7 titles on the line, you know there’s going to be a plethora of greatness on display in the cage, so let’s break down these fights a little more. Johnny Albatross vs Joe Biden Name: Johnny “Vampire Hunter” Albatross Record: 19-4 SYN record: 2-1 Country: Spain Manager: John Wayne Notes: Albatross is a newer addition to the SYN roster, but already he’s making a name for himself. Following up his extremely successful career at ENIGMA where he captured the Bantamweight title 3 different times. His most recent run being his longest stint as champion as he defended his belt 4 times before being dethroned. (Title fight record 8-3) Now, he’s looking for his third consecutive win in hopes of another title shot in the not too distant future. An excellent striker with 15 finishes but his bugaboo has been his ground defense where 2 of his 3 title losses came via submission. He’s an exceptional wrestler, but only a blue belt in BJJ and seems to be the focal point of his opponents. His current opponent is a much better grappler but doesn’t have a history of use his ground skills offensively, which will play to Albatross’ gameplan making this anyone’s fight. Name: Joe “The Eagle” Biden Record: 21-9-1 SYN Record: 6-3 Country: Sao Tomea Principe Manager: Jason Swanson Notes: Biden has had a successful career, but a title has eluded him to this point. He’s been in two title fights, losing both. His second fight in SYN he lost a split decision to Detkhunjon Sitsongrit, though he followed that up with a split decision win in his next outing. He’s now won 3 in a row and is building up momentum for this fight. While being a much more experienced fighter with 7 more fights than his opponent, yet 2 less finishes. He’s not displayed any real power since joining the SYN ranks, but that hasn’t stopped him from scoring points and out boxing his opponents as he’s become a better technical fighter. Matchup: These two match up extremely well standing. As I mentioned before, Biden has the advantage on the ground, but his skills have been used more defensively and not considered much of an offensive threat there. Both fighters are on a roll but there can be only one. Not a bad card when the opening fight features 2 top 100 P4P fighters on winning streaks to kick things off for another explosive Supernova! Cornelius Myers vs Petchuanglek Sitsongrit 145 Title Fight Name: Cornelius Myers Record: 24-11 SYN Record: 7-2 Country: USA Manager: John Wayne Notes: Myers won his belt on a split decision last fight against Sitsongrit, and he’s looking to prove it was not a fluke by following that up with another more decisive win in this one. Having won 3 in a row now, he looks to defend his belt and start another run like he had when he first joined SYN where he captured and defended the title two times. He’s proven he has the tools to get the job done and with a win here will likely crack the top 10 P4P fighters in the world as he currently sits at 13. Name: Petchuanglek Sitsongrit Record: 27-6 SYN Record: 15-4 Country: Thailand Manager: Theksit Ruengruong Notes: Sitsongrit comes from a stable of very accomplished MT specialists. With a 15-4 record in SYN, and having held the title on 3 different occasions with a total of 9 successful title defenses, Sitsongrit is one of the most accomplished fighters in the division. His SYN history is well known, but he’s displayed greatness even in the early days of his career where he was a 2x HFC champion with 5 successful defenses. When it comes to the bright lights, Sitsongrit steps up. He’s never lost two fights in a row in his career, and will not be looking to start now. Matchup: When it comes to the matchup, it couldn’t be any closer in skills. These guys are seasoned vets with big fight experience. Myers has a bit more pop to his punches, but many fighters have learned the hard way that it’s not easy to break through a Sitsongrit’s defenses to get that KO victory. Myers has proven he can hang with Sitsongrit, now let’s see if he can establish himself as just being better. This fight can go either way, and may very well come down to another split decision. These fights just don’t get any closer than this. Joad Crossbeckler vs Kaki Moutain 170 Title Fight Name: Joad Cressbeckler Record: 31-10 SYN Record: 12-5 Country: USA Manager: G Wad Notes: Cressbeckler is no stranger to the big stage having captured the title in both HFC and in SYN on multiple occasions. He’s on a roll now having won 4 strait, the biggest of which for him might just be the win over Benedetti where he avenged the prior two losses to him, and recapturing the title in the process. He successfully defended it last outing against Morrison and now puts his title on the line against visiting SMASH champion, Kaki Moutain. Sitting just inside the top 10 at rank 9 P4P, Cressbeckler is not a man to be taken lightly. A win here will not only give him clout amongst his peers at SYN, but possibly land him inside the top 5 P4P by the time this event is over. Name: Kaki Mountain Record: 25-12 Country: Finland Manager: Jorma Oltsu Notes: Mountain is a top 25 fighter in the world and 2x SMASH champion who has won 7 of his last 8 fights, 4 of which for the gold strap. He faced Raate Road in a cross promotion bout with Combate where he fell short via TKO but that hasn’t deterred him from the challenge of doing it again. He’s flashed the ability to finish opponents but most of his fights of late end up going to the judges score cards. Not a bad thing when you win most of them, I suppose. Matchup: On paper, Cressbeckler has the slight edge in both stats, P4P ranking, and in cage prowess. It’s not a huge gap by any means, but in a title fight you’ll take any edge you can get. Both guys have won most of their fights by decision, and both of them have won most of them. Each fighter’s losses of late come from being KO’d so I’m very interested to see if they fight for the decision or if one of them decides to test the other’s chin. Crusty Bigg vs Imperial Washington Name: Crusty Bigg “Bang” Record: 29-13 SYN Record: 10-6 Country: USA Manager: Bradly Burns Notes: Bigg has recently changed management and doesn’t look like the change has hurt him in the slightest. He’s now 2-1 under new management with the one loss being a title loss to the legendary Kilo Maluga who headlines this card. Nobody can fault him for that as not many fighters have stood in the cage with Kilo and not ended up sleeping. But what I love about Bigg is that he brings it. You love to see guys finish and rather he’s finishing or getting finished, he will stand and bang until it’s done. Yes, this is partially the weight class, but Bigg has stood and banged against some hard hitters and taken his fair share of lumps. But he always comes back and looks to rip the next guy’s head off. This matchup will be his chance to do exactly that and avenge his previous loss to Washington. Name: Imperial Washington Record: 22-12-2 SYN Record: 9-6-1 Country: USA Manager: Marky Mark Notes: Coming off a 2nd round KO loss to Olsen last outing, Washington is looking to bounce back in a big way. Another big boy who loves to finish, and we can bank on this fight ending with someone sleeping. The Olsen loss snapped a 4-fight win streak which matched the longest of his career. These two fighters have squared off before with Washington taking the TKO victory over Bigg and he’s got to be confident he can do it again. Matchup: Washington has the skill edge here, but his opponent being under new management could be a game changer in this rematch. It’s also worth noting these guys last faced each other back in their HFC days in November of 2021. Joe Dinapoli vs Danny Danger Name: Joe “Levels” Dinapoli Record: 31-8 SYN Record: 13-6 Country: USA Manager: Igor Peixoto Notes: Dinapoli has found some power as of late, having finished his opponent 4 of his last 5 fights with the lone one being a loss to the champ, Randleman. Early in his career he was a mainstay at the top of CMMA with 12 consecutive title fight victories. Once he lost his belt, he made his way to SYN to play with the big boys where he continued to exert his dominance starting off 5-0 and capturing the title before the Tycoon Olympics set him off course and starting his first ever losing streak in which he lost his belt. He’s been 9-3 since and looks in prime condition as he welcomes the newcomer, Danny Danger to SYN. Name: Danny “The Dandy Lion” Danger Record: 14-9 Country: UK Manager: Billy Arseworth Notes: Danger is making his SYN debut and what an opponent to welcome him to SYN. But he’s earned the right to take a shot at the top guys as he’s coming from Bellicose having wheeled off 6 wins in a row, the last two being title fights. The man has some absolutely devastating kicks already having 5 beautiful head kick KO’s, including the last two title fights. But don’t be fooled, he defeated Iso Paa during that stretch with an arm triangle submission which nobody saw coming, least of which Paa. He has a shot to walk into SYN and drop his nuts on the table and say “This division is mine!” with a statement win tonight. Can he pull it off? Matchup: This will be an absolutely amazing fight and I’ll be at cage side taking bets on who’s blood splashes my table first. Dinapoli has the skill advantage, but not by much. And Danger has been in this spot before and come out on top. This is simply a must see fight, and while not a “must win” for either, sure as hell is a very important fight to each and their title aspirations. Joe Exotic vs Aurelius Augustus 185 Title Fight Name: Joe “The Real Tiger King” Exotic Record: 26-10-1 SYN Record: 11-2-1 Country: USA Manager: Billy Arseworth Notes: No stranger to title fights, and no stranger to winning them. One of the divisions greats, Winton Todd, can verify that this man is the real deal. He’s beaten some of the best already in his career, highlighted by Todd and Hopkins. Name: Aurelius “Kaiser” Augustus Record: 22-4-2 Country: Italy Manager: Bael Basileos Notes: Augustus has been about as dominant champ at 185 as GAMMA has. He’s coming over to SYN for a super fight to take on Exotic as he’s plowed his way through the GAMMA competition. Ranked #11 in the world, and likely would be higher if he had stronger competition at GAMMA. If he can pull off the win against Exotic who’s ranked 12, it should be enough to bump him comfortably into the top 10. Matchup: These guys are neck in neck in the P4P rankings and just about deadlocked in skill sets too. While Augustus has a slight Muay Thai edge, Exotic has the BJJ advantage. But make no mistake, neither of these guys are going into this fight looking for a submission win. Tacitus Kilgore vs Ernest Graves 155 Title Fight Name: Tacitus Kilgore Record: 37-13 SYN Record: 5-0 Country: USA Manager: Billy Arseworth Notes: Kilgore has been all over the world and dominated every organization he’s fought in. A Hall of Famer from his days at SFL, and rightly so. He’s currently the #3 P4P fighter in the world, and far and away the top fighter at the Lightweight division. Currently on a 7 fight win streak that includes 3 title wins at Combate as well as 3 title wins at SYN. The man is on a roll and has no plans to relinquish his belt to the 40 year old Graves. Name: Ernest Graves Record: 43-32-2 SYN Record: 7-12-1 Country: USA Manager: Arthur Vandelay Notes: One thing to point out is this record at Synchronicity. While the record appears dismal and some might question why he’s on a Supernova card, his record has improved of late. Since he re-joined the SYN roster, he’s 4-2 and earned this fight in his last bout as he defeated Miami Vice. I guess he’s a bit like fine wine and is improving with age. Matchup: Another pretty even match up when it comes to skills. Kilgore has a slight edge in Muay Thai, but gives up that same edge in BJJ. But if you’ve seen Kilgore fight, you know he doesn’t give a damned about grappling in the cage. He saves that shit for the ring girls after a big win. Graves is 40 years old and most would be on the decline at this point, but he’s just getting better and better with experience. A year ago, I would have given this fight to Kilgore without question, but as it stands today, it’s anyone’s fight to take. Red Greene vs Balin Trollslayer 265+ Title Fight Name: Red “Love Machine” Green Record: 14-3 SYN Record: 4-0 Country: Canada Manager: Kaylynn Lee Notes: One of our fighters to come over from Highlands who’s been dominating the whole way. He’s putting his belt on the line in this one and seems he should be flying high with his recent success, but for some reason his morale has slipped a bit. Perhaps some behind the scenes drama or a scuffle with management, but whatever the reason he doesn’t have much time to get his head in the game. You don’t win a title without high morale and good focus. And as of right now, he’s not peeking. Name: Balin Trollslayer Record: 33-7 SYN Record: 2-2 Country: Australia Manager: Blaze King Notes: Trollslayer is another decorated veteran from Highlands. He was a long time champion there but lost his title in his SYN debut. His SYN record is only 2-2, but one of those fights was a cross promotion fight against the legendary Kilo Maluga and the man had to have balls of steel to step into the cage with that monster. His loss to Tarver in the SYN debut was via submission as he got caught while demonstrating his renown GnP ability. He’s chomping at the bit to get a shot at Green and get that belt back. Matchup: Trollslayer has the skill advantage across the board in this one. Green’s striking is abysmal in comparison to Trollslayer, but neither guy is a pure striker. But these guys match up well on the ground with Trollslayer having the slight edge, so perhaps the striking will be the gameplan that Trollslayers uses to re-capture his title. Because once this fight goes to the ground, it’s anyone’s fight to take. Randy Randleman vs David Choke 205 Title Fight Name: Randy Randleman Record: 33-11 SYN Record: 13-4 Country: USA Manager: G Wad Notes: The dancing Randleman currently sits at #4 P4P in the world and #1 in the light heavyweight division. He’s won 7 title fights in his time at SYN and only lost 1 title defense which he quickly bounced back from and recaptured. He’s represented SYN at a cross promotion fight at Combate where he did us proud and defeated Valentin Taneyev via TKO in the 5th round. The man is a winner, and he’s won titles everywhere he’s been. Currently riding a 5 fight win streak highlighted by wins over Aaron Wolf and Joe Dinapoli. Name: David Choke Record: 25-12-1 Country: Sweden Manager: Shape Shifter Notes: Choke is coming over from SMASH to take a shot at Randleman. He’s won his last 6 in a row at SMASH and 5 of which were for the belt. He’s one of the most skilled grapplers on the roster and will be looking to use his BJJ advantage to stifle Randleman’s KO power. Matchup: Choke may be the cream of the crop at SMASH, but these are different waters at SYN. He will have an edge on the ground, but he has to get the fight there in the first place and Randleman will not make that easy. Randleman is far and away the better striker, so look for him to keep his distance and try to pick Choke apart and open him up for the money shot to end the fight. He knows that if this fight goes to the ground he’s fighting an uphill battle, so he’ll need to score points where he can just in case he doesn’t get the finish and this one goes the distance. But if Choke has his way, he’ll be choking out Randleman and walking away with bragging rights. Kilo Maluga vs Kjetil Olsen 265 Title Fight Name: Kilo “Bloodbath” Maluga Record: 57-12 SYN Record: 44-8 Country: Kiribati Manager: Chris Karter Notes: Notes? It’s fucking Kilo Maluga, the #1 P4P fighter in the world and has maintained that status for quite some time. The man has 44 wins in SYN, all by way of knockouts. It’s obvious to anyone reading that he’s my current favorite fighter to follow, but the man has accomplished so much in his career that I lost track counting them. He’s the Tycoon Olympics champion, the SYN mainstay champion with 42 title fights (at SYN) under his belt with only 7 of them resulting in defeat. I could go on and on about the prowess of Kilo, but you can simply watch one of his fights and learn everything you need about him. He’s currently riding a 9 fight win streak and once again headlines the biggest MMA sporting event in the world. Name: Kjetil Olsen Record: 26-11 SYN Record: 4-3 Country: Norway Manager: Crazy Horse Notes: Olsen has faced Kilo before in a title fight back at SYN 959 and fell victim to the devastating power that Kilo possesses. He’s since won 3 in a row and flashed his own KO power himself, and he’s looking to shock the world and finish Kilo in this one. Matchup: Let’s be real here, this fight will not go to the ground until one of these guys are sleeping, but these guys are a carbon copy of skill sets, mirroring each other across the board. Kilo has more experience, by far, and has displayed more KO power than any fighter I’ve seen in recent memory. So Olsen will be fighting an uphill battle as he has to watch out for that power shot. But Kilo is not invincible, and anyone can land that big shot to put their opponent to sleep, especially when it comes to the big boys. And speaking of big boys, Olsen towers over Kilo coming in at a whopping 7’4 ½” giving him a significant reach advantage over the 6’5 Kilo. But, as we see from their first fight, Kilo can reach that chin and to do anything else would shock the world. Thank you for tuning in to this Synchronicity Supernova XIII event preview. As you know, Supernova is the epitome of the MMA world and there’s no other event that comes close.
