Hey all, is this problem still around? I have several fighters I cannot pick for fights. The fighter page says they are ready but the card page wont let me pick them frm the drop down...

Risning a dwindling player base willing to pay for content is not the best business practice. I appreciate Mike and the game need funding but he needs MORE players, not ever escalating costs. Tbh I dont like 2 companies per person at all, but the low playerbase has made it justifiable.

Its scary how one mass mail can make such a difference in who will win. I mean that with no disrespect of course because I want Bwang to win, I only say that because I believe he was 3rd last time. I think we definitely have to forget doing anything similar to this model of voting next year unless you want the 15 people active on the forums to be mad at each other again.

Id missed that part of the discussion. Multi accounts must not of been a factor* (though we all know there could be ways round that right?). That said forum voting is always going to be a popularity contest. This doesnt always mean the most knowledgable or full effort posters are going to get what they think is the most sensible option. It depends whether people think this game belongs to old timers/effort posters/elite players, or to everyone. I have no opinion on that last bit except to say non VIP shows a certain level of commitment I am ok with not having a vote.

As someone who joined LOD when I came back to the game, and as someone owes Mentor a lot for showing me the org ropes and getting me back interested in playing, he has never told me to vote for anyone, nor have I seen it (albeit Im new). Im not saying it doesn't happen or hasn't happned. But I dont think its a big an issue as you think. A much bigger one would be multi accounts stacking an already small pool of votes in their favour - I dont know if you had noticed but the forums are hardly a hive of activity. I mean LOD currently has 64 members, can you see a single award where it is obvious we picked the winner? Did Mentors picks win every award even? This line of discussion is massively off course. Make a system that works better than what we have now (almost any will), and worry about fixing if it ever happens. I mean this years awards were interesting werent they? But we all lived, no system is perfect, it can be tweaked. Non VIPs should not get to vote, maybe an alliance cap is ok, but not because Mentor is picking winners.

I don't bring this up because I cannot be nominated, I accept that as fair even though I considered myself new when I came back, but truthfully an award with one participant is a bit rubbish. Nothing can be done if there is no competition though. Anyway don't ruin a good deed such as organising the awards over stuff like that

Hi Im Fed_SwZL, I appreciate the nomination and if there is any sort of issue around a guy who hasnt played in around 10 years, when the game was COMPLETELY different than it is now, being put up then don't worry about it. As for me, I barely knew how to play the game back then, played for around a year at the very most, my business was a clothing one (mostly for laundering) and I had no idea how to make money beyond skimming it from fighters Aside from the lack of playerbase I think the game is waaay better than when I left it. I only got back into it because I was cleaning out my email and still had an old activation one from back in the day. Lucky find ps Sounds like maybe the date should go back a few months so some other people can get involved. I am really glad the game has some community left, I have never found a game like this since that is as cool an idea and as fun to play. I wish Mike would come back to it.

My old opinion on this would be no way, but since everyone smart just opens a private gym leaving a massive shortfall for other types of business I am inclinded to say yes now. Id prefer it wasnt the case. The other way to do it is make gyms the company you pay for and everything else is in the other VIP slot.

Thank you for the shout out Mentor, and for the trust placed in me by handing me the reigns. I will continue to run GAMMA: Contenders to the high standard its fighters and managers are accustomed to. Just bear in mind I am not long back into the game and will need feedback from everyone involved to make sure the org works for everyone. So far everyone has been nothing but helpful and see no reason that cannot continue. Here is to the continuation of the GAMMA legacy. Good fights everybody.

Yo. So I've been scouring the forums a bit to see what's been going on etc and I see some old names from way back when. I'm shocked there are some old timers still around and I salute all of you that I've recognised. Are there any big moments, situations or game changes that a guy like me would be interested in hearing about? I was based in Rio when I played last but I'm finding it hard to judge where the busy towns are now. I can't believe the game is still going 10 years later. It's awesome.

Yo getting back into this a bit after a loooong time off. What cities have good active orgs and decent affordable gyms for newer people? I've not made any fighters yet but wanna give it a go, so holla out any newb friendly advice. Ive got some threads bookmarked already so looking more for the social side of things. Cheers.
