  2. or you could just use css if you do something like this: http://www.w3schools.com/cssref/sel_focus.asp select { width:180px; } select:focus { width:auto; } it works in ie9 and chrome but i don't have anything older laying around to try it out with
  3. assuming that i'm understanding the problem correctly: it would sort of ruin the formatting (temporarily) but you could use a combo of onfocus and onblur to resize the box when it is selected and then shrink it back down when you select something else <select name="x" id="y" onfocus="javascript:{this.style.width='auto'}" onblur="javascript:{this.style.width='180px'}"> would grow the dropdown however large it needed to display the text on the largest option and then shrink it back down to 180px which is the current size of the dropdown dropdown not selected http://dl.dropbox.com/u/795315/nofocus.png dropdown selected http://dl.dropbox.com/u/795315/withfocus.png

  6. any minimum fight requirements?
  7. I voted option 2 because by not showing up you essentially have a loss by forfeit for SP1 and a win by default for GTI1 was impacted but since there wasn't a fight, the NC should be documented. In terms of ranking, I think that the NC should serve as a "tiebreaker" for the team that caused it. Meaning that 1-11 would be ranked higher than 1-11 (1 NC). THW might be getting their ass kicked but at least we show up for our fights. I wanted to vote for the NC just not counting toward the record, however I don't think it would be fair as the rankings become skewed for both teams and SP1 is already being punished by losing their 5th member.
  8. 135lb - Preferably LV but open to moving if the org is a good fit "Tiny" Tim Blast [ 52254 ] 13-5 928 P4P
  9. The already under represented Hawaiian Warriors team currently has 4 fighters created between 2 managers: Mikey Burns (135987) Soaring Eagle (135991) Jhon "Mystery Man" Doe (135922) Mike Hawke (135919) I'm trying to get someone to make a 5th for us right now but I don't know how successful that will be.
  10. We're working on getting a 5th still but thus far The Hawaiian Warriors will be represented by: Jack Hoff (94-45-1) Jay Jensen (19-24-0) Shogun Rua (42-34-1) The Prototype (98-64-1) Also, I'm sure that if any teams wanted to fight in Hilo that Reach Promotions or Reach Beginning would be happy to host a leg of the fights.
  11. Putting out a feeler for 2 guys currently under contract for 9 more days in an org where the manager has not signed in for nearly a month: 185lbs - Mark "Razor" Brown [44204] 7-2-0 Weight: 135 P4P: 784, Current org 185lb champion 265/265+ - Kristian "The Krusher" Kelly [45130] 3-2-0 Both fighters are currently in Las Vegas and I would like to keep them there however would be open to moving depending on the org/offer. Obviously if the org owner decides to log in and offer fights then they will be unavailable but it doesn't look like that will be happening. PM me if you are interested in either of them. Also, looking for a contract for a fighter currently in Amsterdam: 265+ - Anthony "Bada Bing" Bianchi [58242] 0-0-0

  17. With COURAGE 4: The Contenders coming up in just a few short days we reached out to a fighter making his COURAGE debut at 185 pounds, Mark Brown, as well as his manager Jack Hoff to get their feelings about the upcoming event. "When I was first contacted by COURAGE about Mark [brown] I knew that they would be a perfect fit for a young up-and-comer like him," said Jack Hoff. "Mark recently made his MMA debut in the QFC and unforunately suffered a controversial split decision loss to Charles Britt in a fight that his corner plus everyone in the crowd felt should have gone to Mark. Sometimes with the younger guys, a loss like that to start off their career really hurts them mentally, but Mark took a couple days off and was right back in the gym working hard to make sure he didn't lose like that again. Mark consistently is one of our hardest working guys in the gym and he is coming off of a great camp that we are confident will allow him to come home with the W." After hearing such praise from his manager, we pulled aside Mark Brown for a few words. "First of all, I want to thank COURAGE for giving me this opportunity. A lot of guys end up busting their ass in the minors for so long that by the time they make it into a major promotion, everyone wonders how they would have done if they had gotten the call up a little sooner. I know that I may not be the best fighter at 185, but I'm just getting started and every day I'm learning a lot and improving all of my skills. One thing that I do know is that I'm not just going to be a pushover for anyone in this division. If you want to beat me you are going to have to come to fight to the death because I've already hit rock bottom so I have nothing to lose." Mark went on to comment on the state of the 185 pound division in COURAGE, "One of the reasons I agreed to join COURAGE was the strength of the roster. From top to bottom there are a lot of tough guys and good matchups for everyone. I think it is going to take a little bit of time for the division to sort itself out but with how it stands right now, if you can get and hold the belt, you are absolutely a deserving champion. I think after the next couple of events we should start finding out who belongs and who is going to be on the way out the door. Speaking of guys on their way out the door, my opponent AJ Zest is going to be well on his way to that goal after our fight on the 16th!" Mark jokes. "AJ [Zest] looks to be a tough kid and a good matchup for me. He is another young guy just getting his start and at first glance it looks like the classic striker vs grappler matchup but I've been working on my ground game a lot lately so we will see what happens. I'm comfortable where ever the fight ends up so he has his hands full for sure. I like to take my fights one at a time but in terms of future matchups in the division, I'm willing to fill whatever role that Diablo Escovar and the rest of the COURAGE guys need me for. I'm always ready for a fight and will never turn down any offer that is competitive." Those are some tough words from Mark Brown and his opponent AJ Zest had better not take this fight lightly because I think we may be seeing a lot more from this young man in the future.
