  1. Any information in this post is subject to change based on feedback and demand. The goal of this fight organization is to provide challenges while remaining fair to everyone. Some rules and/or features may change if something is not working as intended. Out Cold! Promotions is all about offering fighters a place to show off their skills. If your fighter wants to try out KT or Grappling against a specific opponent, we're open to 1-fight deals. Out Cold! KT Open ID 3 rounds of 3 minutes (5 rounds for titles) Divisions: 155 185 265+ Out Cold! Grappling Open ID 1 round of 15 minutes Divisions: 170 265 Last updated: October 21, 2018
  2. It would actually be cool to have details about the said injury. Each fighters have a said of "hidden" attributes, injury is one of them. If a fighter is injured 10+ days after each fights, it means he has a bad injury hidden value, and the only thing this will affect is his lifespan. The more injured he get, the sooner his career will end. Also, injuries will not affect training at all, but you don't want to throw an injured fighter in a fight, since it will affect his performance. A fighter can get injured by getting hit, and even by hitting the opponent. You can KO a guy in 5 seconds with one punch and still get a few days injury.
  3. Tycoon manager James Listerman has been exploring options and analyzing needs of the current fight organization business side of the game. After a long investigation, it was clear that the #1 issue is that there’s currently nowhere for KT fighters to showcase their skills, other than MMA orgs. “There’s a lot of fight orgs out there, some come and go, but there’s absolutely nothing when it comes to KT. We see tournaments once in a while, hell, we can also spot certain orgs that throw in a few KT events here and there just to keep fighters active. I’ve decided to give this a go, so I’m starting a KT Fight Promotion.”, said James Listerman. After travelling across the world to study the market in various cities, it’s the Rio de Janeiro President himself that caught the attention of Listerman. “I was a bit surprised by the interest of the Brazilian community towards KT. Nevertheless, I told the President I would consider Rio de Janeiro as my top choice for the base of the Fight Promotion. I will even consider hosting multiple Grappling tournaments since most BJJ talent is from this part of the world.”, added Listerman regarding his talk with the Rio President. The Fight Promotion will also feature a MMA roster for young talent, contracting 18 to 22 year old fighters. So far, the Fight Promotion is planned with the following features (subject to change after further analysis): KT Open ID, Divisions: Lightweight (155 and less) Middleweight (156 to 185) Heavyweight (186 to 300) 1 event per week, unless the demand increases, Cage fights, 3 rounds of 5 minutes (5 rounds title bouts), Contracts based on KT hype + Popularity. MMA 340k+ Divisions: Featherweight (145 and less) Welterweight (146 to 170) Light Heavyweight (171 to 205) Heavyweight (206 to 265) 1 event per week, unless the demand increases, Cage fights, 3 rounds of 5 minutes (5 rounds title bouts), Contracts based on MMA hype + Popularity. Grappling Tournaments Divisions: 155 170 185 205+ Still early process, more info to come.
  4. http://www.mmatycoon.com/rankingsfightorgs.php Basically Most Hyped (Grappling) is using the same code as Most Hyped (Kickboxing)
  5. He has someone to take over (me), he just doesnt seem to be logging in.
  6. Haha! Name is totally random, but weirdly enough, I do like to make lists. It's meant to be!
  7. Was bored, so I went through the list of currently active orgs, here's a list of ID restricted. In order of ID, also added the current number of fighters for each orgs, along with the city. Anything below 305k is pretty much fighters maxed out and ready for open ID, IMO. Edit: Also, 13-14 open ID orgs currently active. 340k - FARTMMA (85) St Pete 336k - PhoQus Sports Enterprise (106) Hilo 335k - Gladius (130) Amsterdam 334k - JAG Battle League (140) London 330k - Ultimate Combat Federation (224) London 330k - Skrap House MMA (39) Rio 330k - MMA Helsinki (137) Helsinki 330k - Budokai Fighting Federation (123) Tokyo 325k - RISE Fight League (160) Los Angeles 322k - Sydney Fights (338) Sydney 315k - Iron Man Fight Club (190) Los Angeles 310k - The Global Coliseum (162) Las Vegas 310k - GAMMA: Proving Grounds (98) St Pete 305k - OG Cardinals Fighting Org (209) Helsinki 290k - SYN: DARE (171) Amsterdam
  8. Most 300k fighters are most likely close to their max potential, so most of those fighters would already fight in non-ID orgs. I think 310k and up would make more sense to do. I didn't study the market at all, but maybe higher ID would be a safer bet.
  9. When I joined in 2013, the game had just introduced Transitions and Escapes, which didn't look like much when I started, but actually is a big feature to add since it involves a lot of tweaking in terms of how the engine works with those 2 new skills.
  10. EFC is an open ID org, which wouldn't make sense to merge with Gladius. I offered to take over Gladius, and to keep it running, so if everything goes well, it should be smoothly and shouldn't affect the fighters too much.
  11. Maybe.. maybe not... never know what could happen!
  12. Lack of gyms in that org's city, Your gym is not in that org's city, Your fighter's contract is only 2-3 fights are you're unsure about re-signing there afterwards, You don't have the budget to move base, You don't want to lose energy + morale + time on your fighter to lose precious training time. Time is money, and you don't have enough money to sacrifice time. That's a few points that came to mind. I get your point, I really do, but there's a lot of things to keep in mind here. Right now, the amount of active managers is pretty low compared to what it used to be, making a few cities pretty dead and unattractive. If your fighters are located anywhere in the United States, for example, and you have interest in a solid org in Sydney or Tokyo, with locations turned on, you have to say no to that org, just because that flying across the planet will mean more energy/morale loss, and most likely losing 1 or 2 training sessions. When I look at the pros and cons of something, I like to imagine being a new manager in the game, and think about how it would affect that said new manager. You have no money, you sign to a fight org because the city you created your fighter is in doesn't have the perfect org for you, so you sign in another city. When comes fight time, your fighter get an auto-flight, so you tell yourself, "cool, I don't have to set a flight, it's an automatic feature". When comes fight time, your fighter is at the correct location, but he starts the fight with 10% less energy than his opponent, and loses the fight because of that. Then, after the fight, your fighter is still in that city, that is not his base, and for one reason or another, you don't login for a few days because real life turned out to be a little more important than the game for those few days, and your fighter is now in the wrong location, broke since he had to pay for being in the wrong location, plus, he couldn't train, and you have to figure out a way to fly him back, but you have $0, so you just sign out, and never ever log back into the game. Again, I agree with your point, especially with your comment "dumbed down the economy of the game significantly", but, as with any other game in the world, sometimes you have to dumb down your game to keep it alive and to keep it accessible to as many people as you can.
  13. Make the minimum fighter limit 40 or something like that. Seems like an easy tweak.
  14. The way I see it is, with the current influx of money in the game, any rich manager has access to one or multiple private jets, so their fighters always fly first class with zero negative effect when flying last minute. This means that any rich manager does not need any outside help. For me, ever since fight travel got turned off, I felt better about the game since after years of setting flights manually for a 20+ fighters roster, I started to feel sick about it and felt like it was a chore versus an actual pleasure playing a game.
  15. I'm tempted to take it over since I don't want to see it die out...
  16. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/14111261991568.png Andy McCallum "When I signed a contract to have James Listerman as my manager, I never thought he'd throw me in a tournament as a replacement. Now he's asking me to cut some weight so I can meet the requirements. Fucking asshole. At least he pays me well. Oh, and I told him that all the money I'm getting from this tournament is going straight into my pockets. Looking forward to meet my first opponent."
  17. Seems like auctions are a thing, let's give this a try. Auction: 50k initial bid. 25 minimum raise. Closes in 48 hours. Sold.

  21. Another one, make an offer: Sold.
  22. This could be just an error in flavor text, but I saw this in a fight: Pascual wants to clinch and Robinson counters with a lovely straight right hand! and Pascual counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Robinson! He's just covering up as Pascual starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight! Basically a fighter counters with a strike, lands the strike, then it should reset, but it looks like after the counter, there's another counter that triggered which was the fighter's second strike and was enough to win an early KO. Fight in question is: http://www.mmatycoon.com/fightcommentary.php?FTID=931831 If this is a bug, I'd flag this as major, since a counter does a lot of damage, so I imagine a counter to a counter would be even more damaging.
