  2. Congrats to Renato Laranja, the first Amateur Champion! Tony Riot comes in second place, but can be proud of his whole season. Special mention to Czech Yosef who came in third place despite a season full of ups and downs. Congrats! $300,000 has been sent to Laranja's manager. $150,000 has been sent to Riot's manager. $75,000 has been sent to Yosef's manager.
  3. As long as you can install tampermonkey/greasemonkey on a Chrome or Firefox browser, they should work. You will have to download one of these browsers and install the extensions and scripts using the second post of this thread.
  4. THE GRAND FINALE! Tony Riot vs Renato Laranja ... with a third place matchup between: Donald Collins vs Czech Yosef
  5. Message from fighter - Bug Turd Bug Turd, had a particularly nice phone conversation with his parents today, which cheered him up no end. Personally, it's the first time I ever see that.
  6. Yes, you can sack, the remaining 4 fighters are up for prizes.
  7. Semi Finals are next! Tony Riot vs Donald Collins Renato Laranja vs Czech Yosef
  8. Unfortunately, the interest dropped and it wasn't the success I expected, so Season 2 isn't being considered at the very moment.
  9. Playoffs start next week! Fight offers have been sent, here is the randomly generated bracket: Tony Riot Tokkie Terblanche Fast McGraw Donald Collins Renato Laranja Packin Paulie Hideo Hayashi Czech Yosef
  10. Looks like we are down another man. This leaves us at 9 fighters in the playoffs race. Since I have a fighter in there, I will count myself out, meaning we can start the playoffs faster than expected, Most likely next week. I will keep you guys updated.
  11. Booked 3 events, 1 per week, so this will help us move faster. Not everyone will be part of next week's event, since Paulie is recovering from a 16 days injury, and I will give a week break to someone who has competed 7 times already. Another fighter dropped out, leaving us at 12, and 1 is not qualifying for the playoffs cause he joined too late, this means theres still a lot of hope for anyone to qualify at this point.
  12. Good initiative! A lot of people complain but no one seems to take action. This is awesome news. Bring on the positivity!
  13. "... escapes are probably harder to get from a bad ground position ..." I'm sure its possible to escape from anywhere, but if I would use my experience with the game's logic, it would make sense to assume that a bad position on the ground equals less chances of success.
  14. I feel like transitions are better, since escapes are probably harder to get from a bad ground position. The way I see it, get taken down into side control, you suddenly wish you had good transitions to get a better position.
  15. If you absolutely need them, then yes go with 110 on creation.
  16. The biggest issue with this game is that people keep whining that Mike doesn't add anything to the game. Adding more to the game adds complexity. Adding complexity to an already complex game drives new players away. You can vote all you want, this game has a learning curve bigger than Steel Penn's wallet. I do agree that Mike's involvement with the game is non-existent, but complaining that the game doesn't get any updates will not help. The sad reality is that this game is based on reading. The new player tutorial actually has a lot of information, but the information is text, and it throws you to the wiki, where you have to read a lot to learn the basics. I learned the majority of what I know about the game from the wiki. Everything you need to know is in there. Then there's the forums (new players won't even reach the forums, the new generation of manager don't know what a forum is) where there's a lot of important info. Mike started this game 10 years + ago, and the idea of the game was great. Slow paced game. Takes months and even years to train a single fighter to reach max potential. 10 years ago, that was awesome. We're in 2019 now. Web browser games are not as popular (are they even a thing anymore?). What could save this game would be changing the way it works, like speeding things up for example. I heard a lot of former managers say stuff like "I wanted to come back to the game, but thinking that it will take about a year to have a decent fighter on my roster, not worth it." If Mike is still interested in his own creation, he will have to pivot from his idea from 10+ years ago and make a big change.
  17. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/13931999683056.jpg Regis Petrozuli (Group A Stud) "S Club (there ain't no party like an S Club party) Gonna show you how Everybody get down tonight S Club (there ain't no party like an S Club party) Gonna take you high Shake your body from side to side" "... Fuck... celebrated yet another win... don't remember much of my weekend except for that song stuck in my head... what the fuck did I do?"
  18. The next event will be the 7th fight of 8 for certain fighters, so I'll probably book an event after that where only the fighters with 6 or less fights. At 8 fights, the league is complete and a fighter will be ready for the playoffs.
  19. The League is now down to 13 fighters, looks like the interest dropped quite fast, which could have been expected since fighters are never perfect enough for most managers. The top 8 playoffs spots are now easier to reach, so keep it up, we're almost there. I'll be booking the next round today, we have a fighter at 6 days injury, so I'll make the event the day after he's 100%. Edit: Updated rankings:
  20. I get that everyone wants to help, but from my understanding, the codebase currently does not support different permissions or anything like that. Someone who would help develop a feature would have to stop playing the game, because he would have access to 100% of the code and database. Also, any development done is done on the live site, as there is no dev/staging/test environments. I get that developers keep throwing their 2 cents about how it could be better, but it's a 10+ years old game with a structure that has absolutely no best practice nor coding standards. Accepting avatars, give someone the power to accept/reject other than Mike and you create more issues than you fix some. I'm all for seeing this game evolve, but I also have a strong feeling that there will be no easy way to do it.
  21. Not sure what happened, I'm only there because I'm running the Amateur League from there, I'll probably have to find somewhere else to host it eventually myself. Your fighter has been released!
  22. What fighter, and what org? I'm staff at ACB, if it's that org you're talking about, let me know and I can release your fighter.
  23. I have to admit that I wouldn't have that many fighters without the Personal Assistant. I'm sure back then, the Assistant page wasn't created yet, which would have been a pain to manage a big roster.
  24. Yes its still going on. I always wait a few days after an event to give guys time to make decisions to sack or not. Next event will be created shortly. I may have to find another org to hold the league soon, but we are fine for now.
