  1. Longevity hidden FTW. One of the best ideas I've heard in ages.
  2. Are there 40 yo fighters out there now? I think I've retired every 30+ Guy I have to spar whoring. Just doesn't seem like we have to worry about many 40+ 'ers right now. I mean maybe a stubborn manager will push his fighters to continue fighting but. I don't see 38-40 yo's dominating the rankings. I like the pace of the game as is, but honestly I just wish we could get to a point where there are no more major changes. However we need to get to that. Tired of logging onto changes, making the appropriate adjustments to get my fighters/sliders/etc. Inline with the changes, only for sumthing else to change before I can even reap the benefits of trying to comply with the last update. It succs taking losses becuz you log on one day and suddenly shit is just different. Or creating a fighter during a slow training time, then a couple months down the road after you've struggled through the SLOW low end and just barely got to an average skill level where you benefit frum the supposedly sped up top end, surprise surprise, training is sped up on the low end again and tapered a bit on the top lol. Awesum.
  3. I'm highly motivated most days. Every once in a while I have a bad day and need inspiration tho, and these help. The I am a Champion one in particular gets me all geared up. I'm ready to rip a throat out by the end of it. lol. I watch it before any kind of competition I'm involved in.
  4. Removed cuz it wuz the same speech Marky posted, just diff video.

  6. If you have any affection for your Pyramid Ranking I'd be wary. I entered 3 tourneys this month and got to the 3rd rd. everytime. 9 fights against n00b opponents will CRUSH your Opponent hype and your Alliances. I'm pretty much done with them for this reason. Thought it would be a good way to test my guys hiddens... but honestly I don't feel like I learned anymore about them frum 3 fights than if I'd just thrown them in a Single. And it's kinda agonizing to win rd 1 with a "Cuts Easily" or "Plays Chess" when you kno you're gonna cut the guy and you still have to fight with him. There is no middle ground by the way. Don't make a Bisping. Either you dump all Points in Stand up and Takedown D, or you Dump all Points into Ground and Takedown O. Which Means all fights basically turn into a crap shoot. Everyone cranks the Aggression up, and whoever lands the first significant move is the winner 9 times out of 10. Although I did make one fighter who wuz crappy enuff that even with 100 damage against a useless/useless Box/MT he knocked down his opp twice rocked him, all in under a minute and still managed to get taken down and subbed out in just over 2 mins.
  7. Totally Agree that more people should carry, but dude, you must have a whole different class of Movie Theater Employee than where I live. If you saw sum of the people employed at Cinema's in South Texas you may change your mind.
  8. I keep seeing everyone talk about this spinning bacc fist trip like he made sum kinda mental error out of nowhere... Right after Anderson got off the cage by pulling on the shorts he baccs up with his hands down. No one saw Chael get clipped on the way in as he's vainly trying to close the distance? Does a little dummy step and realizes he's queer then desperately shoots again. When they were on the cage he ate another one before the scramble and the backfist, but it wuznt like he had a brain fart for no reason. The damage wuz already dun long before the knee to the sternum. He looked like he didn't kno wut wuz going on after the spinning bacc fail cuz he didn't. He already had the sense knocced out of them. Anderson almost always lands that early one that completely shorts his opponents out. And a lot of the time its a shot that looks like it shouldn't have just dun the damage it did. Only difference is after he lands that one he normally shifts into coast mode and starts playing with them, but he knew he couldn't do that with Chael. Couldn't wait to set up the highlight reel, had to put him away when the chance presented itself. He really is the epitome of the one punch fight changer tho. Personally I didn't care who won. I woulda been happier with a double loss, cuz both of them need a humility checc. Chael has the skill and prowess to beat Silva, but the LnP gameplan gives Silva 25 mins to land that one shot... And while he never landed it in the first fight, he did in the second. Chael didn't unexplainably lose his heart, and the mental lapse he suffered wuz frum getting clinked on. Its happened to a Lotta dudes Silva has touched.
  9. Gona see about getting Stack released for this.
  10. Same thing happening to me. I have one coach wanting a raise and every time I try he doesn't belong to me.
  11. Bump. Really? Not one Org, or Highly Ranked KT Fighter out there that wants a true test?
  12. For Sure, as long as you switch your Hype over to KT before the fight this time... Cuz Stark actually went down in KT P4P the day after that fight, so I'm assuming he got absolutely no Hype/Pop for fighting someone considered a KT Scrub... no matter how bad-ass his skills are. ;P
  13. Ah you're right. Everyone either Fights cans, or joins their Buddy/Alliance mate's Org and hand picc's opponents that match up best against their fighters. Why try to fix anything? Let's just continue to pile shit up on it till we've devalued everything worth having in this game, if it's not already. I'd say the difference is that if a guy is fighting cans and rises up the ranks you can come on here and put him on blast to all the other people of "valued opinion" that camp out here. Even Challenge him. If an org like this really takes off, it will rise in Hype/Pop as well as the fighters. And if QFC Tokyo is any indication, it's only a matter of time. Eventualy we will have an issue similar to the one that lead to an Openweight ranking System. Except instead of having a few low skill lightweight guys frum tourney's jaccing up the SHW Ranking, we'll have Fighters in the Top 10 P4P that couldn't ever realistically fight any 'actual' fighters of that rank. And an Org in the top 5 that has solely inflated the hype of it's fighters up way past their skill level. Didn't C BD get shit on for a situation like that? And Then Wut? If that's really only a problem to me then I guess I'm super fuccin' surprised and I concede. Let's just take Skills and Hiddens out of the game completely, then we can just play with sliders. That way you either kno the flavor settings of the latest update which would give you a 50/50 chance of beating someone else who also kno's the current money sliders, or you don't kno them and you're a free win for everyone who duz. I'm not saying it wouldn't be fun. All the QFC orgs popping up are entertaining. I have a guy in QFC Tokyo, I wana make a dude for QFC KT, and I'd likely have a guy in this org as well if it happens. But I think a line needs to be drawn between actual fighters who fight under all aspects of the engine, and these gimic fighters who are only viable in special rule orgs.
  14. http://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilemanager.php?FID=54796 http://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilemanager.php?FID=78967 Some KT org out there has to have sum fighters with big enuff nads to get in there with these guys. I don't care about contract or money, just find me sum fights. I'm even willing to put up sum of my own money for a fight against a top 50 KT opponent. It's sad that two of the God Father's of Tycoon Striking are slowly dropping out of the top 10 P4P cuz no one's man enuff to fight them. If you wanna talk shit feel free to do it here, I won't checc this post again. If you're interested in working out a deal for two of the Greatest Living Strikers in the Tycooniverse just send me a PM or the contract offer. If you're looking for a multi fight deal, you better have a few worthy prospects in your org.
  15. I've wondered for a while if maybe the SHIG coding got left in the dust. Like, how many changes have been made to the game and the rules and parameters since the beginning? And how may times has SHIG been tweaked to make a fighter of high intelligence do the proper thing at the proper time taking into account new game changes? For instance, I'm willing to bet a few months bacc when the best way to win any fight wuz to go 80+ aggro/damage stand up, that SHIG wuz a huge hinderance. Unless Mike changed the parameters of SHIG when he made the changed that created that slider style, no 120-150 intelligence fighter with 60-80% SHIG would say "I'm at 70/70 aggro/damage and I'm losing, Obviously I need to up my aggro and damage EVEN More!" Bottom line as said before, SHIG is just code, and if that code isn't updated as the fight engine changes, it's likely outdated. I think that in some cases it still effective enuff to use. In Stand up for instance having high SHIG and a decent intelligence fighter can make you mix up your strikes for more consistent lands. I find it funny that you have both this post... and this one: ...active at the same time tho
  16. Fighters in these Orgs shouldn't build Hype/Pop. You're gutting 2/3rds of wut makes a fighter. Would be fun to participate in, but it's a novelty. Shouldn't get rewarded on the Pyramid Table or P4P rankings for it.
  17. Can't believe we're nearing the end here. I had a feeling frum the beginning that we'd be seeing the Jones/Shillings Rubber Match for the big pay off. Awesum Tourney Scott. Had a Blast. Good Game to all involved. Good Lucc Mr. Smith.
  18. Anybody picced the demo up yet? Thoughts? I'm waiting on it to DL.
  19. So wut is it right now, Hiddens 99.5% make or break fighters? That other .5 accounts for failure if you don't set your sliders to wutever the "I win" method of the month is? I'm sure the community will think I'm just as wrong about this as every other topic I've ever tried to contribute to, but I don't think people getting gassed early is the issue. The mechanic issue to me in the current state of the game is that there is pretty much one way to set your sliders right now: Gong and Dash. And if you set your sliders like that it's not an auto I win, cuz everyone else in the know is setting their sliders the same way. In setting your sliders that way you're giving your fighter's Hiddens a chance against your opponent's hiddens. If the other guy has better hiddens you're still going to lose save for some rare anomly. If you DON'T set your guy to those slider settings and your opponent has, unless your fighter has God Like hiddens, or is fighting a can, you're going to fail on epic level. People are getting gassed so much more and it's being exploited in fights becuz the engine wuz never meant for people to be regularly going 90/90 damage/aggro against each other. Of course with guys running around with 120-150 KO power and cranked up to 90/90 pretty much the second someone gets gassed they're going down, or it's at least the beginning of the end. The Biggest issue to me tho, and the one that would have avoided a buncha bullshit most likely is if Mike wouldn't just jump to and Band-aid fix shit everytime the .5% of the total game population that makes up the forums all bandwagons and starts bitching and moaning that the game is SO broke and needs a fix immediately or "insert name of well known forum manager here" is going to quit playing and so is all of his alliance cuz they're so upset about it. At this point the fuccing engine has had band-aid on top of band-aid applied. Fixes for Fixes for Fixes, to the point that the Husk of the original engine is so far frum wut it originally wuz, or wuz intended to be, that there is no going bacc. Just throw another band-aid on it so the forum heads stop bobbling. I'm not saying that changes weren't necessary, but I think a lot of them were applied too quickly and could have been thought out more in regards to how that one fix might effect other aspects of the engine. Another problem is that not one of us has any good idea of how the engine works or how hiddens and skills and sliders entertwine. Unlike most Community Driven MMO's, who divulge huge amounts of info on how the system works, we are pretty much left in the dark here. Which Im very glad of. But it leads people to make assumptions on how they think the system works. They "think" it works one way, set their fighters up in the way they percieve they should, then don't get the desired results and go complain something is wrong, instead of accepting that something "under the hood" produced that result becuz that's the way things are supposed to work. Did your guy shut down becuz he wuz gassed? or becuz he's a shitty fighter with crap Heart and no Confidence? In the current engine, moreso than any other version, hidden's are incredibly important. And most guys are more willing to accept that the engine is broke, before they'll entertain the idea that their prize project fighter that has weasled his way to a decent record is really a sacc of shit.
