  1. He may be only 2-3 quality wins away from getting his chance. That would be fun.
  2. Guess we know the Cain/Rothwell fight was stopped early. Rothwell can take a hell of a lot more punishment than Cain had laid on him when the fight was stopped.
  3. This is the one that I thought about for a while before going with Ben. I think Hunt will eventually end up on his back and be gnp'd out, but if they decide to just stand and kick box for some reason then I guess I have no idea what will happen.
  4. James Te Huna vs Ricardo Romero Takeya Mizugaki vs Cole Escovedo Junior Assunção vs Eddie Yagin Nick Ring vs Tim Boetsch Tony Ferguson vs Aaron Riley Ben Rothwell vs Mark Hunt Nate Diaz vs Takanori Gomi Travis Browne vs Rob Broughton Matt Hughes vs Josh Koscheck Jon Jones vs Quinton Jackson
  5. Damn. I never really got into the private gym scene until just before the training changes. Guess I should have.
  6. Looking at the skill maintenance page, what is the highest percentage on secondaries any of your fighters have achieved? I've been playing for around 1.5 years and my top guys are only at around 54% in secondaries. I'm mostly wondering what kind of secondaries the (sens/sens/sens/brown) beasts would have. It's kind of depressing looking up at guys that seemingly have no weakness. I guess it would be comforting to know that they have some sort of weaknesses hidden in the secondaries. Anyone willing to share?
  7. panohai is good. known him in-game for a long while.

    Org merge

This would be a cool feature.
  9. Yeah Mike, how much is this worth to ya? I've got a sharpie ready...
  10. Bought a couple more...hope I win. I'd like to start another org in the near future. This would help. Fingers crossed.
  11. W.T.F... what the hell do you eat for breakfast?
  12. Multis have been cleared out during that time and the summer months combined with the start of school has no doubt had an impact as well.
  13. Someone may have done as well or even better at building MMA up as a mainstream sport, but then again it could have gone the way of the XFL in the wrong hands. We'll never know. I will say that I'm happy with where the sport is headed and glad that it will most likely never fade away. For these reasons I'm happy with Dana White at the helm. He speaks his mind and puts on good fights.
  14. Go for it. I never poached because I was too lazy for it, but I have no problems with it either. Pay a guy what he's worth and provide good match ups and you shouldn't have to worry about poaching. Go inactive and neglect the org, expect your guys to get poached. Happy hunting.
  15. Often times that's the best thing you learn in these jobs, how to play the game. I'm currently having a home built and I'm sure a few years in construction would benefit me right now in knowing what the hell I'm talking about when trying to negotiate. Sometimes I wish I wore a tie to work, just so I'd look a little more respectable, but I guess the comfort of very casual dress has it's perks too.
  16. +1 Those of us who have him blocked can see his quoted text. Please stop. Do your part everyone.
  17. Thought I read that he lost his visa for the press conference in Montreal.
  18. Spend time with the people you care about. The rest is just noise.
  19. I don't think he ducked. He seems more like the kinda guy that just isn't ready for responsibility. He's like one of those millionaire sports stars that has hundreds of unpaid parking tickets or something. For a while the money will clean up these messes, but eventually he'll end up in a gutter. Hopefully he'll at least be able to maintain a gym past his career. The UFC will have a babysitter for him next time around to make sure his visa and itinerary are in order.
  20. Worked on an assembly line in a treadmill factory for a few days. I was near the end of the line where I would assemble a box, place it on the line, and then me and another fellow would grab the next treadmill and shove it into the box. Repeat that 500+ times per day. On certain days we would be assembling treadmills that included a 30 lb set of dumbbells. I would have to reach down into a crate and pull out the dumbbell set, place it on a sheet of cardboard, fold the cardboard around it, staple it together, and then stack it up near the line. I was also the only guy in a 50 yard radius that spoke English. During lunch hour I would literally stare at the clock in the break room to try and make it move slower. There were no clocks on the line. Just the sound of machinery all day while you waited for the horn to sound that it was time to go home. After each shift my fingernails looked tiny because of how much my fingers had swollen up around them. I was filthy and my back and shoulders ached. At least I wasn't one of the Mexicans who had to hold a power drill above my head for 8 hours a day. There were a couple women on the line, but there job was to run on each treadmill for a few seconds to make sure it worked. I'm sure that got old fast as well. After a while I noticed that there was a fresh batch of new employees getting an orientation tour every 3 or 4 days. I realized then that expectations were low and I never went back. I didn't even collect my pay for those days. They never called either. Haha. $7.50 an hour baby. No thanks, never again.
  21. the eventual GSP vs Diaz match will have an entertaining build up. http://mmajunkie.com/news/25223/diaz-shocked-st-pierre-didnt-try-to-keep-ufc-137-fight-has-choice-words-for-champ.mma
  22. It's just marketing. The fight is real. Quit acting like you uncovered the greatest conspiracy ever.
  23. Nice. This thread delivers. Every bit as big a douche as advertised.
  24. No, I do. I also enjoy a good gamble though.
