Any trade rules? Last year was lame. Half the people quit and were later recruited for trades to load the top teams. How about a $25 buy in and no trades.

Great game. I thought I was getting to be quite the bad ass, then I went and tangled with a giant.

Haha they're hoping for an easy rank boost against Payne. You won't get a finish, and ONI fights are LONG. Good luck keeping your arms and legs inside the ride for the full 5 rounds.

If round 5 wasn't a 10-8 then I don't know what is. Dan was the correct winner though. The fight metric scores were interesting though. It's funny that landing a couple extra jabs can give you a 10-9 advantage but you have to damn near cripple the other guy to get a 10-8. We're limiting the current system. I would have given Carwin a 10-5 in round 1 against Lesnar.

Who really deserves the shot at GSP?

Hehe emotions are high on this matchup. Can't wait for the forum betting when this goes down. -
Who really deserves the shot at GSP?

My inner diaglouge while I watch Diaz fight... "Why is he sticking his chin out? Put your hands up son! Your gonna gas out swinging like that. Wow those are weak strikes." A few minutes and hundreds of strikes later he wins via TKO or his opponent ends up looking like hamburger. Seems like his striking works just fine. -
Speeding things up a little wouldn't hurt. I really do like the slow approach that this game takes though. Just don't make it like mmarmy where I would forget to log on for a couple weeks and realize that all my fighters had retired. lol

It's just an opinion. It's not up to anyone. Diaz vs GSP will be a hell of a fight though. I'm happy as far as it being an entertaining match. -

I know that making the fights that fans want to see has to play a part for this business to be successful. I just hate to see a guy "earn" it by being an ass. -
Who really deserves the shot at GSP?

He didn't just hold down or submit Hardy, he KO'd him. And that "random japanese" guy was undefeated. The loss to Kampmann was very close and didn't negatively effect my opinion of either fighter. Ellenburger is tough as hell too. He has an impressive run going. -
The ESPN poll this morning overwhelmingly had Diaz in the lead. I don't get it. Condit has had much better competition. Diaz throws his finger in the air and gets the fight because of the increase in hype. This is bad for the sport. I know that Diaz vs GSP is more entertaining and I will definitely watch, but you can't say that he deserves the match over Condit. Moral of the story is if you want a big payday in MMA make an ass of yourself. In other sports, win.

It's all for bragging rights, I'm just appreciative for someone to organize and score. Money don't matter.

This came up a little while ago. I thought the "flailing clinch" strategy had been fixed to not work since then. Guess not. -
I wasn't sure if this was feasible and therefore didn't bring it up, but I like the idea. I'm the kinda guy that plays Fallout on hardcore mode so you know where I stand on this.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. turns down $65M to fight Pacman
ringfinger replied to topologies's topic in General Discussion
These guys are too rich at this point. No amount of money will convince them. 10 years down the road one of them will be bankrupt and begging for the match. Too bad. -
I'm not buying the doom and gloom. You are outmatched as a fighter, but not as a manager. These are the wins that make the game fun! No shame in accepting a title shot as the under dog in your first match against the guy. Just decline a rematch until you feel more prepared. 65% counter, 60% damage. Batter him with heavy leg kicks and mix in a few head kicks to try and KO him. Nobody has offered advice on ground sliders. Those are tricky and I don't claim to know a thing about them. But if I were in your situation I would go 60% counter, 60% control, about 50/50 on your strikes/subs, and 25% on stand up/advance position. Then again I have lost fights on my back where I regret not being more aggressive in trying to escape. Good luck. Looks like the fight is on the Skyrim release date. Should be able to remember to check back and see how you do.

Payne lands with an uppercut that bounces Salcedo off the cage and back into rage. *range?

GSP off UFC 137 card with knee injury
ringfinger replied to Paradigm's topic in General MMA / UFC Forum
How hard are these guys training? Most of the sports I am familiar with never go 100% in practice. They will hit the weights or cardio hard, but the full contact stuff is toned down to prevent unnecessary injury. But then again I know nothing really about MMA training camps. Really sucks for this upcoming event. -
