  1. Great fight! You looked really smooth with your transitions, and I thought that kneebar was it! Your opponent didn't look very good against you, just holding you down so you couldn't tap him!
  2. Hilarious! Voting "Set A" purely for entertainment purposes.
  3. I like it +1. Not sure how it would be done, but the idea definitely has potential.
  4. I would be very interested in doing this. I have a couple, "pretty" good guys that I don't know what to do with at the moment. I'm not sure if they're what you're looking for though, because right now one is kinda small for 185 and the other is a HW. Tonto Borneo Gundar Thorsen If you're not interested in them, I have another guy who is one of my best fighters, but for him it might take some extra motivation. Danny Mangold
  5. Yeah, could be. I'm not really sure how it's programmed, but I only did it for two fights and both times I rarely landed in guard and every takedown worked on me. I lost both to decision via takedown too. lol It has it's uses if used properly, though I imagine.
  6. The commentary is the same if you "allow takedowns". It kinda sucks because if you "allow takedowns" you can still get taken down into bad positions, and the judges score it like a normal takedown too.

    Leaving Gym Option

Yeah, I agree, would help me a lot on Thursdays....I always seem to forget to leave gyms in time.
  8. Van "The Red" Kelly is more than willing to fight him. A pretty even match-up too. Lemme know if you're interested.
  9. I sent you a pm, If you're interested let me know.
  10. This is a very good point, any change to the belts must be balanced. A new org with just a few fighters in every division shouldn't be rewarded over an org with a few very deep divisions. I personally think fighting in a "deep" division is more realistic and exciting than being a champ in small division. Currently the belt has some benefit though, you get a little leverage when dealing with the org........ and more importantly you get a pretty belt next to your fights on the fighter profile page.
  11. Keeping the belts would be very unfair to the other primaries. BJJ already is the hardest primary to scout. Why make it harder just for aesthetic reasons? In real life BJJ belts are as much a sign of respect as ability. (Losing a belt would be very disrespectful to the student) In the game they show your fighter's primary....... Let's allow the belt to do its job please.
  12. My training seems OK. Energy loss and skill gains both seem OK.
  13. lol, I haven't been in the forums in awhile, and my alliance-mate and myself had came up with the idea together. I had heard these kind of fights were done before, but I never bothered to check for events or anything. I am interested in how these events turned out though, because we had some worries that it may not work in fights well. I'll definitely have to look for those. But we are by no means claiming credit for the idea of a Jui-Jitsu match in tycoon. We aren't trying to step on any toes or anything, we just had some decent ground fighters and had thought of a fun way to test them. Any help or input of any kind is welcome.
  14. -No date set yet, as soon as we can get everything set up, -No ID limit -Not sure about weeks b/t rounds yet, probably 2 weeks, but nothings set yet. -No, the winner would be free after the tourney. -At least 8 fighters, but if enough people want in, 16 is possible.
  15. Spirit Fighting Championships - LA is planning on hosting a Jui-Jitsu Tournament in the coming weeks. We're still revising our tournament rules and requirements, but so far we have... -Everyone will be asked to have their sliders set on 100% go to the ground (so 0% stay standing). This will avoid any strikes at all. Also, clinch is fine, but it'd have to be 100% go to the ground, no strikes. -On the ground all sliders are fair game; ground strikes will be allowed to help keep the fights exciting and keep the sub spams down. -We would offer "small" contracts, but the winner of the tourney would receive a cash prize and receive the prestigious title of first "Spirit Jui-Jitsu Champion". SFC will keep detailed records of contests and post them in their records section. -The fights are currently being discussed as open weight contests, but some talk has been done of limiting the weight classes to a maximum of light-heavyweight. (To minimize the disparity between fighters) The current managers and fighters signed up are as follows: -Jake Kelley, Hiilo Rodrigo, 101251, 0-0, Red Belt, -Nicholas Wolfwood, Lance Domingo, 83971, 2-0, Black Belt, -Declan Moloney, Herman Gracie, 5528, 0-0, Black Belt, -Billy Trent, Micheal Stubb, 43352, 14-13, Brown Belt, -Tamel Moultrie, Jay Roc, 67917, 12-7, Brown Belt, Anyone interested message Jake Kelley with your details. Also any recommendations in regard to format/rules are welcome! Thanks.
