  1. Hey all! I've been around for quite awhile. Recently came back to playing again. Back in the past I was part of the Renegade Warriors but its dead and most members are inactive or have moved onto bigger and better things. Looking to bring it back! We were quite successful in the past running a couple top orgs for a bit and I'd like to try to get us back and fully loaded! If anyone is interested, its not set to invite only so just go click join. http://mmatycoon.com/alliancepublic.php?ali_id=1376 No restrictions except if I find out you have a reputation of cheating or anything extreme like that I will kick. Thanks!
  2. Hey all! So just from seeing numberous managers who have really good ranks and have fighters who have really good hype/pop, yet have very few fighters that actually have decent skills made me raise the question. Should skills play a part into your hype/pop? For instance, in this game you can reach top 100 creating all 25 year olds fighting in ID restricted orgs. But does that really make sense? Yet in this game, hype and pop is reflected on hiddens and the hype and pop of the opponent you beat. Niether have to have any skill though. I personally think this is something that should be changed and it would make reaching the top 100 a much more significant goal. In real life, you can't see the personals primaries (obviously). But, you can see if a boxer is feeble. Hes not very good he actually sucks, he can be 100-0 but they are all vs bums which you can clearly see have no skill hed never really reach any popularity... I'd compare a feeble boxer to the great Charlie Zelenoff or some backyard brawler. Fighting low skilled guys can only get you so much fame. What I think makes sense, is that we cap hype/pop to a range of skills. If your OPPONENT is Useless - Respectable you can only gain ????...... If your OPPONENT is proficient through exceptional you can only gain ????...... And if your OPPONENT is sensational through elite you can gain whatever....... And it would be an average of all 4 skills put together. I think this makes sense and makes the game more realistic. What does everyone else think?
  3. To the future of MMA, to a future champion, to the hottest prospect soon to begin his career. http://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilemanager.php?FID=289462 He's looking for sponsorships, and investors. He KNOWS he will be one of the greatest to step into any cage and its time that you all learn his name and soon you will see the devastation he brings to his opponents. 4. My fastest went useless to sensational + in 64 sessions
  5. With Elite coaches after starting 2 days ago... Looks like a test account from mike?
  6. when i started playing this game the going rate for a 0-0 fighters for 3/300/300/300
  7. Its about new people not people around for years and still nitwits
  8. Yea I think if people put an effort towards someone and they blatantly just ignore it and do the same things then they are the ones you can't do anything about.
  9. Yes haha but how do you tell someone that before they've ever played? Sure we can tell each other that and say this is the best way to approach things but a new person doesnt know that. We shouldnt be saying "If they want to be part they should try" we should try to make them apart! because WE want the game to grow! Some people will of course be impossible.
  10. What bowties? nooooo hahaha. Cus I agree that they deserve it but when you join a brand new game you know nothing about sometimes people just act like an idiot because they don't realize how great the game is or what it takes to be part of the community. Other times they actually arn't trying to be as they come off as, but usually if you don't follow a certain protocol members tend to give you shit. Just like they gave you shit, sure you corrected your mistakes but not everyone is ike that some would just quit. And they might be someone that wouldnt quit if we just helped them instead of mocked. Its not an MMATycoon problem, every game in the world is like that towards new people. Not even just games, jobs... anything... But doesn't mean we can't work towards being more welcoming. (Not saying mmatycoon isnt welcoming for the most part is and people work very hard to make it helpful) But for the active users, we want it to grow. More actiivity is positivity for everyone. So we should try to grab every member possible even if they deserve to be treated like shit. If they are new we should try to get their attention and keep them around
  11. So it's been awhile since I've posted anything but I've been observing the forms and one thing I notice in this game, and really not just this game but any game out there is how the community treats the "abnormal" new people who sign up. There's usually 3 groups of people who sign up. 1. The people who read all the WIKIS, read all the guides, and spend hours clawing and trying to eat up any piece of information to the learn the game as fast as possible. These are usually the people who join the community and pass without any troubles and very quickly, they make a lot of friends and have easy transitions into the game. 2. The "Khaled" type. (Taken from the guy spamming post and accounts I saw in a previous thread) So this is the kind of guy/gal who joins with no knowledge of anything. Instead of really attempting to fit in kinda just takes there own odd approach to anything. They break rules either because they don't know the rules or because they don't care because they are not invested into the game yet. They tend to piss off and annoy a lot of people.... Everyone laughs at them in the forms and mocks them and wishes for there ban....Usually poor English and grammar tends to add on to the ridicule... and so on. 3. The person who falls in the middle - of 1 and 2. Usually transition into the game pretty well, may have some issues piss a couple people off along the way but mostly come in unscaved. They may become a huge part of the community or disappear pretty quick into the night only. So if we go in depth on these types of members. Type 1: For the most part will stick around for awhile, they are already interested determined to be successful and to be a part. Lets say they are 90% going to stick around the game for a period of time Type 2: Some will become more interested and stick around some will fall off... Lets say 50% stick around for a period of time Type 3: Pretty much no chance they stick around. Either they get banned or made fun of, no one wants to help them and they are interested enough to learn on their own. 10% stick around..... SO.... Basically the point of this topic is that we obviously all want MMATycoon to grow right? Which type do we see the largest amount of people joining. Usually the Type 2... Then Type 3... and then the type you see the least amount joining is Type 1. Rarely do you have someone who fits into that type 1 category join.. It does happen but not often, and even when it does happen its a 90% success rate they stick around. (Totally made up number but it shows the point I'm trying to make) Basically we don't have to put effort in to get them to stick around. If we want Tycoon to grow, besides advertising..... Proper behavior towards new people on the forms is important. Type 2 may come in as the "HEEL" as an example, but they are not all bad people just often clueless. Instead of mocking them laughing at them and working towards a ban as fast as possible I think that if we make an effort to talk to them positively and help them then that number can go way up from 10% and they can actually be good members to the community and not just the first impression they gave off and quickly leave. And also the type 3 people... Those are the people who make up most of the new members, but only 50% (again totally made up number prolly less) will stick around. If we are able to notice these new members that fit into this category, and try to show them how great MMATycoon really is then yet again I think the active member base can grow rapidly. If members look out for the better of the game, put aside there judgements, put aside there egos and try to help each and every new member understand just what this game is about and how great it is, I have no doubt it will grow fast! But it starts with our actions, especially here on the forms! Just an observation. Good day all!
  12. True, but unless he has video it would be very hard to prove in court after already saying he didn't break the speed limit.
  13. I agree with you, but the cop also came up to him with an asshole attitude from the beginning too. I mean how many of those tickets are going to hold up? Jones got cited for street racing but the cop admits in the video that jones never broke the speed limit. Then he tells jones, "you both took off aggressively but the other car slowed down you didn't" But he already told jones he didn't break the speed limit, so how in the hell does it matter if jones didn't slow down. In that case he shoulda pulled over the other car for going too slow. Jones is also driving a brand new vette, doesn't take those things very long to get up to a speed past the speed limit. They go 0-60 in under 4 seconds lol. So if Jones was really street racing, pretty impossible that he would be able to get pulled over before he was speeding. Honestly I have to side with jones here, I don't think the video helps the cop at all. Then you can clearly see him get frustrated adding on the multiple tickets for the license plate and the loud tail pipe. Are we even sure that pipe is an aftermarket pipe? If the car is street legal then there's nothing he can do. Then the cop says, "Your lucky you didn't get arrested for street racing tonight." Now lets think this through, he just pulled over a guy on probation with a breathalyzer in his car who just recently got cited for doing 45mph over the speed limit and the guy called him a fucking liar and a pig. If Jones was really street racing, he would've been taken to jail. I think the cop knew that he had nothing to back that he was racing. I have to say that Jones got pulled over for nothing more than reving his engine at the red light just like he said. I don't disagree that Jones is dumb. After all the shit he's been through he should've been nice from the beginning and he shouldn't do anything with his vehicle to give even the slightest reason to get pulled over. However, none of this adds up and i'll be surprised if most or all of those tickets are dropped. I Doubt the cop even shows up for court tbh.
  14. the 40mph and 26mph were from another case a couple months ago. I think the cop was pretty ridiculous being a dick but jones deserves it.
  15. If I remember correctly the decision could've gone either way
  16. I'll give the Jet to the manager without a Jet already who finishes highest
  17. Alright guys here it is. When I came back to Tycoon I didn't really have anything. So when I saw an opportunity to grab EFFA I took it. I did grab it for personal benefit. The ORG came with 500k and the request to keep it going strong. About a month in I realized that I'm not playing this game for the org business and that I could sell it for a decent profit and be set on training for awhile which is my main purpose of playing. Honestly guys, I didn't really see the shamefulness of doing this. I figured I upheld my promise which is to keep the org going and I even booked further events. Crush Bones notified me that there was interest in someone buying the org and that's when I figured this would be a good opportunity to sell. A couple days later the deal was done. Since the deal being done I've had a chance to talk to multiple people about the situation and have their thoughts on it. The one thing that is consistent with everyone that I've talked to is that they believe it was a scummy move and dishonorable. I am man enough to admit that if the majority around me are seeing it in some way, the problem is not with ALL of them, but the problem is with me. I was biased when doing this and it clouded my judgment and it took conversations with a few guys to see it. Mostly, I want to apologize to Crush Jones for dragging his name through any dirt. He's probably the most honest guy I know and even he was telling me not to do it, so to him I really apologize. To Bob your a good guy, you did a phenomenal job with EFFA. So.... I sent 400k just now to Aaron to give the entire 500k that Bob had left in the org. BUT.. I really felt like that doesn't show I'm honorable and I really wanted to do something that could prove I'm not this jackass that maybe is perceived now. So I've decided, The Highest finishing Manager in EFFAs upcoming tournament that doesn't already have a Jet, well receive mine as a prize. I've been a member since 2010 and I'm sure no one has ever heard bad of me until now, hopefully this will help at least repair that a little. Thanks Guys
