  1. It would be great if bookmakers had a little more depth for each fight like * Fighter A Rd 1 * Fighter A Rd 2 * Fighter A Rd 3 And then if possible at the bookmakers choice he could go even more detailed with things like * Fighter A KO Rd 1 * Fighter A Sub Rd 3 The odds for things like this would be a lot more attractive for the punters, they have the chance to win more but on the whole a succesful bookmaker should be able to make a pretty decent profit on failed bets. Gambling is gooood!

  3. I like your idea of sponsoring an event over the whole promotion. The second idea confused me a little... was the jist of it this? 1. Company (E.G. Harley Davidson) sponsor Org (E.G.) UFC 20k (10 x 200 30 day slots for example) 2. Fighters within UFC can then take up the Harley Davidson offer 3. The big positives for the sponsorship company that any event ran by the UFC would most likely half a large number of fighters on the card sponsored by them? Sounds like an interesting idea, what about any sponsorship money not used by the fighters within the org during a certain time frame, would that be returned to the sponsor or go to the org at the risk of the sponsor when first proposing the deal? All in all I definitely think Org's/Fight Card's should be able to have some form of sponsorship.
  4. I think so , early 2000 to around 2005, he won 10 out of 12 fights finishing 9 of them in the first round. He may not have fought the toughest opponents every time but a lot of them were more than decent matchups. I definitely think that in the early to mid point of the decade Andrej was considered one of the best or at least tipped to be, his inability to take a shot and a few other holes in his game soon changed this though of course.
  5. This might well have been brought up before but what about the option for companies to sponsor different fight organizations in the same way that they sponsor fighters? A link could be placed on the Org's homepage and on each of their cards perhaps?
  6. I have a few guys looking for sponsorship Roque Barretto: (95655) 0-0 Fighting tomorrow Yoshiro Takanata:(95473) 0-0 Fighting on Saturday Barry Scott:(95468) 0-0 Christopher Samba: (95628) 0-0 Randy Rutten: (95657) 0-0
  7. Yep, meant to be 60 according to an interview a while back, the full list can be seen here If Bas Rutten's in it I'll be happy! I hope it's a good game, would just be nice to have a good alternative MMA game to Undisputed. I love Undisputed but it's not without it's flaws. I heard a rumour that they'll be making all CAF's be uploaded and download online so that people can swap different fighters. If that's the case then it'll be great news as give it a week and some people with too much time on their hands will have given us a full UFC roster. Not getting my hopes up from the initial videos but hopefully that build was a long way off what the final one will be.
  8. Would it be feasible for perhaps the owners of the top alliances to do a weekly vote of what they think the best alliance is? You would obviously not let them vote for themselves but I guess the main problem would be some owners would vote for owners they were friends with and never vote for owners they have a problem with. It may even itself out though, if there's an owner with a lot of enemies that nobody votes for then perhaps it suggests there not a great owner. I don't think it would work as a be all and end all ranking system but perhaps it could contribute to a percentage of the ranking? I do agree there should definitely be a Minimum # of Fights (Isn't it 50 at the moment?) before people are ranked but after that things should come down to quality. For companies it should be about hype and sales not just how many companies they own. Wins should also be about quality opponents as well as simply how many they have won. Winning Records can be manipulated by fighting bums and if you get 2 or 3 guys in an alliance together doing that they'll quickly have a high winning record. The two current systems are simply the winning record or how many members you have. I don't think they are sufficient in my opinion, just because you have more members doesn't mean you are not the best and winning records have already been mentioned. I don't think it's a priority issue or anything but at some stage it would be nice to see a good rankings system for the alliances. Sure you can argue it doesn't really matter and who cares but then what's the difference to ranking managers and fighters. For sure it's a game and it should be about fun but you also want to be the best you can at it, you then need something to judge it by.
  9. From Wikipedia: EA Sports MMA announced that the game would be released on October 19, 2010 in North America and October 22, 2010 everywhere else.
  10. I don't particularly want to see any of these back in the UFC anytime soon but I have a lot of respect for a lot of the fighters who got MMA started, some of whom were not even that talented but helped the sport grow in different ways like their mainstream appeal and general personalities. Some I miss because at the time they were exciting fighters or showed a real sense of aggression and will to win. Many are still fighting in smaller orgs today but for many of these I like to remember them when they were at the top. Royce Gracie Ken Shamrock Tank Abbott Oleg Taktarov Marco Ruas Dan Severn Don Frye Mark Kerr Pat Miletich Carlos Newton Pedro Rizzo Jeremy Horn (5-0 since leaving UFC, perhaps he could be one to come back) Bas (What might have been if it wasn't for injury) Jens Pulver Shone Carter Evan Tanner (Agreed a very sad loss.) Andrej Arlovski Ricco Rodriguez Cabbage Yves Edwards Nick Diaz Plenty more I've probably missed out on the way as well but that's a lot of fighters I admired at the time. Many of whom wouldn't cut it in at the top end of the sport today even if they were in their prime but with their work ethic, athleticisim and will to win I often wonder what the likes of Shamrock, Frye, Severn, Rutten, Miletich etc would be like if they were born say 10 years later and had the luxury of knowing what was really needed to compete in MMA and could have trained for it from the very start instead of being the ones pioneering it and almost going through a trial and error period in the early days. It's great to see just how well MMA has evolved in under 20 years, the list is almost in a kind of chronological order of when they appeared in the UFC and on the whole you can see how they've become more well rounded than the early days and the ones still in the UFC competing at the top are the ones who are even more well rounded and on the whole specialise in more than one area. It's certainly interesting when we look back at people who were considered the best during their era and think that compared to today, 'They weren't actually that good'. I'm sure 10-15 year from now we'll look back at the likes of GSP, Silva, Rua, Penn etc and think, 'Sure they were good then but compared to what we have today they wouldn't stand a chance'. Sorry for taking this a little off topic........
  11. Words are really not required in Katy Perry threads. http://selebriti.mentalmasturbasyon.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/katy-perry-cleavage-16.jpg
  12. If you are going through a rest period to get your energy back up, should you also use an energy recovery supplement or is only beneficial when you are actually training and in fact just a waste if you are simply using the 'No Training' option?

  14. Jardine should be able to win this one, otherwise it's a long long way back to the UFC. I hope he makes it, he always turns up to fight and all of his recent losses have been against tough opponents, plenty of people would have looked for easier fights so I admire him for having the guts to keep giving it a go. If it wasn't for Hamill over selling an accidental eye poke causing a point loss which changed Jardine's gameplan then who knows what might have happened in that fight. Come on Keith!
  15. Thanks for the help, that makes a lot of sense.

  17. Thanks, I thought I read on here though somewhere that when training cardio it doesn't matter so much if you have low energy, is that the case or is it best to keep fighters above 90% for every aspect of training?

  19. Does constantly training them when they have low energy decrease morale? I've been grinding some of them to the bone on the treadmill but they still seem as happy as a pig in shit.
  20. Toney certainly has a lot to say in from a couple of weeks ago. He says Randy shouldn't even be in the hall of fame and before the Randy fight was agreed her wanted to fight the best including, 'Brock Lesnar', 'Chuck Liddell' and..... umm 'Kimbo Slice'. Ironically enough after I predicted Randy would win via RNC is that Toney claims it's a RNC that he tapped out King Mo with in training. Still find that hard to believe, either they are talking rubbish or King Mo needs to work on his jiu jitsu!
  21. I definitely think wins should be about quality before quantity.
  22. I've used them quite a lot since I joined, it seemed to me to be the only way for a new manager to make any money quickly. I think it would be great if more real events were added and if you could bet more than the maximum $250, as Nox81 says it would be more exciting as some serious money could be won/lost.
  23. It would surely have to be better than their What surprises me is that Batista managed to train there for 48 hours while managing to escape injury, that has to be a first for him.
