  5. Season #9 Standings GAMMA 3 Dynasty MMA 1
  6. Odin Markkanen (GAMMA) v Jorgen Kruth (DMMA) Win GAMMA
  7. I had a look and we have a total of 2 dedicated orgs for grappling with a total of 50 fighters involved. We have one other org with a couple of divisions in it. I mean it is hard to create an award when there is just 2 candidates and 50-60 fighters dedicated to it. We do not even have even 1 K-1 org currently, just a few orgs running sparse events, so i think that award is totally redundant. Regarding tournaments, did we have at least 5-6 tournaments this year? I was not really paying attention. Designer for sure
  8. So maybe we should simply start the typical topics and see who the main candidates are? We only really need to do the main awards (Divisions, Companies, FOH etc), no need to complicate things. I can start the topics to see the main candidates and start the polls shortly after. If nobody is against that, lets get started. What awards shall we have? Fighter of the year award Best in Division awards Org award ID restricted award Nutrition + Clothing company awards Alliance award KO + Submission award Manager award Do we need Grappling and K-1? There is like 2-3 companies for each, not sure they are needed. Anything else?
  9. Cannot surprised that Strickland lost, he relies too much on the boxing.
  10. Well, why dont we do the awards for the previous year? The actual icon is a separate subject.
  11. Maybe the "Voting council" which was responsible was supposed to do that?
  12. Wait, did i miss something. Did we have any candidates and awards for the past year? 🙂
  13. The GAMMA organization is proud to induct Shane "The Colonel" Raffington (345326) into it's Hall of Fame! Shane competed in GAMMA under 2 different managers, but had most of his success under GAMMA HOF manager, Carlos Castenada (84794). Shane competed in GAMMA, back in 2020-04-19 when he joined our Contenders organization, he had just 5 fights outside of our affiliate before joining, after competing there for a few fights, he got promoted in 2020-10-03 and stayed with the organization for almost 3 years until 2023-09-02 when he retired. He had a total of 48 fights for GAMMA with an overall record of 26-21-1. He is 15th all time in total finishes with 20 and competed in a total of 10 title fights with his biggest success being in the 185lbs division where he is a two time champion. His biggest wins were over GAMMA greats such as Bill Newton, Papa Moosh Dambullah, Roland Weudke, Aurelius Augustus, Serafim Lupei, Santiago Costa, Jack Spratt among others. His 179 total ranking points, place him at 54th in the all time ratings list. This is Carlos Castenada (84794) 4th fighter to get inducted in the GAMMA hall of fame. Only Whymer Van Mastodon (40116) and Gale Hawthorne (22636) have more with 7 and 5 respectively.
  14. Radu Drăgușin's agent basically has already stated that the end goal is that he will play for Real or Barca, not the best way to start your career, considering that he has not played even one game yet. 😁
  15. Spurs active on the transfer market. Dier sent to Bayern on loan (i do not understand why we loaned him, we are litterally playing with 4 full backs and no center back at the moment). Either sale or keeping him as backup would make the most sense. It seems Ange does not like Dier though, which is probably why. Radu Drăgușin has been brought in. A 21y old center back, Romanian international. Big (191cm), strong, fast, played in the Italian league with Genoa. We 100% needed a center back, especially since we sent Dier to Bayern and with Romero out and Van Der Vert out. Not sure this guy totally fits the Spurs profile for center backs (he is not that technical from what i see), we shall see, this guy is a project for sure. Timo Werner brought in on loan with option to buy from Chelsea. He kind of flopped in Chelsea, but he fits the Spurs profile. Technical, can play left wing and in the center of the attack. 100% we needed someone like him, especially with Son out 5-6 weeks with Korea and Richarlison unreliable as the first (and only) attacking option. Timo is a low risk / potentially high rewards transfer. He is also still just 27y.
  16. Odin Markkanen vs Jorgen Kruth (GAMMA vs DMMA) approved for the 3rd of February
  17. We have been a bit unlucky, that is for sure 🙂
  18. The GAMMA organization is proud to induct Robert "Sitek" Sito (255000) into it's Hall of Fame! Robert competed in GAMMA under GAMMA Hall of Fame manager Pawel Ufcowski (52087), this makes it Pawel's 3rd induction into the HOF of GAMMA, moving him into the 12th all time spot among managers with 839 total points. After competing on the independent scene at INY, he moved to the 3rd tier of the GAMMA affiliation program competing in GKNY, becoming the champion in the 155lbs division. He then joined the GAMMA contender where he eventually became the 145lbs champion. This means that Robert is one of very few GAMMA legendary fighters to win a GAMMA title in 3 different GAMMA organizations. Something that will likely become more difficult in the future as we no longer have a 3 tier system any more. In total, Robert competed in GAMMA from 2015-07-11 up till 2017-08-05. In total he had 39 fights in GAMMA and it's affiliates, with a 31-8 record, with 18 finishes, 13 Fight of the night awards. He was also involved in 10 title fights at the top level, winning the 155lbs title 5 times! He also competed in 1 super fight. He had several high profile wins over top level opposition such as Robin Yount, Oscar Boma, Geoffrey Barbossa, Mathew Ridgeway. His total of 189 total points in his career rank him 49th among all other GAMMA fighters historically. Most likely Robert would be higher on the all time list, but his manager retired at his peak and moved after being taken over by new management.
  19. This season technically speaking ends today, but there was only 1 recorded super fight mentioned, so there was not enough activity to have an official season 9.

  21. Odin Markkanen (364155) vs John Fisher (DMMA) Win GAMMA
  22. GAMMA is ready to announce their 2023 Fighter of the year awards! Unlike other awards, which are based on popularity and opinion, the GAMMA awards are based on a formula. The formula calculates GAMMA fighters performance during the year based upon the following criteria: Note: We only rate fighters who won titles, fighters with lower than the top 10 in the ratings we did not include here 4 points win, 1 points loss, 2 points draw, 4 points title / super fight, 1 point Fight of night (FON) Based on the points system mentioned above, here are the results for 2023: Tam Yu Tai (372393) 13-2 12 title, 12 FON = 102 Karim Johnson (347353) 9-6, 11 title/super, 9 FON = 84 Aurelius Augustus (357859) 9-2, 11 title, 9 FON = 76 Orlando Sanguinetti (365011) 8-3, 8 title, 9 FON = 68 Odin Markkanen (364155) 11-2, 5 title, 4 FON (Has fight on 30th) = 65 Joosep L hmus (325071) 7-2, 9 title, 8 FON = 65 Milo Andrianakis (365202) 9-5-1, 3 title, 4 FON = 57 Wilfred Ainsworth (358394) 8-3, 5 title, 5 FON (Has fight on 30th) = 55 Graham Mantle (355131) 8-4-1, 8 title, 6 FON = 55 Petsuwan Sitsongrit (355161) 8-3, 5 title, 4 FON = 54 Odin and Wilfred have fights on the 30th of the month, but those results wont push them into the top 3, irrelevant of the results. Odin will surpass Orlando for 4th place though. Tam was dominant all year long, the couple of slip ups he had, he eventually came back and regained the title. He was clearly the best fighter during this year. Karim won last year's fighter of the year, he just missed out this year to his "brother" Tam Yu Tai. He was the biggest box office draw all year long though. Aurelius probably could of won the fighter of the year, but he retired before it ended. Odin was dominant all year as well, but did not compete in enough title or super fights. His 11 wins is the second best in the organization for the whole year.
  23. 2-1 for Spurs vs a team on form Everton (who won 5 out of 6 going into this). We were less than impressive, Ange went for Skipp for Bissouma and frankly he is a degrade, when Le Celso came in, it gave us much more punch in the last 20 minutes. Overall it was not a stellar display, but we got the 3pts and now back in the top 4. It was generally a good weekend for us, Pool and Arsenal drew 1-1, Newcastle somehow lost to Luton and Villa had a 1-1 draw against lowly Sheffield United.
  24. The GAMMA organization is proud to induct Robert MacArthur Jnr (302907) into it's Hall of Fame! Robert competed in GAMMA under Legendary GAMMA Hall of Fame manager Carlos Castenada (84794), this makes it Carlos's 3rd induction into the HOF of GAMMA, even though he is currently no longer playing the game. This induction also pushed Carlos Castenada to 1359 total points, exactly 200 points below 3rd placed Gale Hawthorne. After competing on the independent scene for a while, he joined up to the GAMMA Contenders affiliate back in 2019-03-15 , competing in the 205lbs division and eventually winning the 205lbs title after 4 fights. He then moved up to the main roster a little later in 2019-08-17 and stay at the org up until 2022-04-23. This also means he is one of the few fighters to compete and win titles in GAMMA and a GAMMA affiliate organization. His eventual record was 28-16-1, with a total of 45 fights in GAMMA and the affiliates. He had a total of 15 finishes and 14 fights earned him the fight of the night award. 10 of his fights were high profile super fights or title fights, he is also a 2 time 205lbs champion. Towards the end of his career he also competed at 265+ with limited success before he eventually retired. He had multiple historic wins, including those over Evaristo Jesus, Damagon Ench rya, Song Turillo, Michael Cole, Thomas Bolleke among others. His grand total of 184 points ranks him 50th among all GAMMA fighters historically, also ranking him in the top 10 among all 205lbs GAMMA fighters of all time.
