  1. I understand this completely and like I said, it's great for the n00b or early on player. But what about my fighters who are above sensational in almost everything? They still have to have private gym training to get anything useful out of this and like I said, sensational is below average at this point for competing in this game. I understand not all fighters NEED to be at these levels, but I don't know many managers who strive to have their fighters do badly. I'm not saying this is a bad idea, but that's why I think it should go in tiers of quality. I don't want my fighter with wonderful punches and striking defense stuck in a gym with all sensational coaches because there is 7 fighters per coach in the elite gym. It's not a good alternative. We need something to give somewhat elite quality to public gyms while still maintaining some profit. While having those gyms would be good for some fighters and some managers, we need something that makes public gyms viable to some of the top talent IMO. You should be able to be in the top 1000 and not have to train in a private gym to keep improving and moving up.
  2. Many fighters now are quad wonderful and those are the middle of the pack average fighters. If you start getting lower quality coaches you're just going to create a massive influx of n00b gyms which is great for starting out fighters. Problem is all the higher quality fighters are still going to want that elite training so the private gyms are still going to be needed and the public gyms will still be over crowded in terms of class sizes. Now I know an overcrowded elite coach is useless. I couldn't even imagine a lesser coach over crowded. Some of the fighters may even lose knowledge from taking their classes. lol.
  3. I still think the problem is first off quality. Everyone wants to be able to compete and not just play the role of jobber in every organization they enter. Even in ID restricted orgs, the fighters who train at higher quality gyms will be the ones to slowly separate themselves skill wise from the rest and dominate. Part of the fun of this game is watching your fighters progress and at the same time winning fights. If you train at a public gym, you either need a massive ID advantage or you need to only fight other public gym fighters in order to have a fighting chance. The second problem that needs to be corrected is profit. People stopped running public gyms because in order to run them you have to run them at massive losses for good quality or terrible quality for profits. I think we need some sort of system to make higher quality gyms slightly profitable and to keep the lower quality sparring and conditioning gyms approximately where they are. If the profits are better with lower quality public gyms, everyone is going to run a lower quality gym because everyone is striving to make more money on this game so they can open up their own private gym.So to sum it up, I think we need to reward quality public gyms and I think we need a system in place that stresses quality over quantity so that public gyms don't just supply terrible training.
  4. This just seems to me like the quality of the gyms will still be bad in order to make a profit and in the long run will end up in the same spot we're at now. No ones going to want to run a gym that doesn't make a profit and if you add more coaches at a lower quality, you still get lower quality training after a certain point. If you add less higher quality coaches then you'll still need to have a large number of fighters to make a profit leading to over crowded classes. It just seems to me like this idea will mask the problem until people again start to realize public gyms are either useless quality or run at massive deficits.
  5. I've had 4 flights. I had 1 fighter on the first 2 and he had a bad gaming session on the first, not on the way back. On the next 2 flights I had 2 on the way there and both had a bad gaming session. I had 4 on the way back and 2 had bad gaming sessions and 2 didn't. So out of 8 flight notifications, I believe I've had 5 feedbacks of bad gaming sessions. Maybe it's just bad luck of the draw, I'm not sure. Just thought I'd bring it up and see if maybe there was an error.
  6. I think the biggest problem with public gyms is the quality. People have to train 7 to 1 and even 10 to 1 in some cases on coaches and never really improve on what their training. So by rewarding gyms for having higher coach to fighter ratios I think will just make the quality of public gyms worse. Personally, I think the only way for public gyms to become a viable option again is to make public training useful. This would mean public gym owners would need to make a profit with low caps. I think we could either reduce the costs of coaches, or come up with a system for gym fees. My only idea really is just a real rough example. I was thinking gyms with a fighter to coach ratio of 3:1 might be able to set their fees between $600-$1000 while 5:1 can set theirs between $400-$599 and maybe 7:1 at $100-$399. Anything over that or without coaches has to run it between $1-$99. Now for top training you still have to pay a bit more but even at $1000, with the contract these days it'd be pretty easy to cover. And this way the newer managers would be able to work up to the 3:1 gyms a lot quicker as saving up a few thousand for 1 fighter is much simpler than saving up a few million for a private gym. And the only way to get a decent coach to fighter ratio these days is with a private gym.
  7. I don't know if it's an error or not but every time I fly I have it. And I've let people borrow my jet and I think there has only been one time where the fighter didn't have a bad gaming session. I don't know what effect that actually has on your fighter, but I think that it needs to be toned down a lot.
  8. Familiar situation...I need to see picture proof of you next to your wife with todays paper. I'd prefer her naked, but seeing as how that's a bannable problem on these forums, at least wearing something skimpy.
  9. I agree completely. I think ticker maintenance is useless. If you boost it up to where it needs to be, it makes the game too much of a hassle. You'd have to sign in constantly, check tickers, switch training and decide what's dropping and what's being trained and everything. The way it is now, it's just your annoying little brother who follows you around and won't leave you alone. You can still get to huge levels and maintain but you have to sign in and do things constantly. So the beasts it was meant to make decay and level the playing field remain beasts, they just now aren't all too happy with how much more time it takes up and are ready to leave.

I think the easiest way to avoid a whole lot of re-programming would have to be to just use the names and flavor text instead of reprogram it to actually change how physicals correlate and all that. I think either way the idea is a stretch, but I love the idea. Mike, how much work would it be to make alternate primaries which the only change they would have is in the flavor text? For example. Wrestling could be replaced with Judo. Only difference would be instead of a double leg into mount, maybe the fighter will do a Judo throw into side control. Or maybe instead of BJJ the fighter uses catch wrestling or whatever you want to call it. Now instead of using an armbar, the fighter uses a arm triangle.
  11. I think it's cool just to be able to design your own jet. I like a lot of the designs people are already coming up with and I can't wait to see some of the alliances jets.
  12. I don't even see a pic, I just see a blank post. Odd.
  13. Yeah, but if I can use the Sunday rest sessions to get an easy 10% I don't have to waste 2 extra training sessions on rest. If I fight on Monday and lose 15% energy I now need 3 rest sessions as compared to 1 if I fight on Saturday. In the long run, you'll end up getting more training sessions because those 2 rest sessions add up. And if I'm using the 2 sunday rest sessions, I'm not wasting Tuesdays that I could be training.

For real. Some people on here are great and helpful and others like him are just downright dbags.
  15. While I do agree with this for org purposes and I understand what you're saying, I don't see this change making a huge difference of when org owners will hold events. Reason being, is that I prefer to fight on Saturdays that way I have Sunday with a fresh ticker reset and two automatic rest sessions. Now say on Saturday night I had an easy win and my energy only went down to 90% or so. Now I'm already prepared to be back into training on Monday and everything runs as smoothly as planned. Even if I have a tough fight and I lose a lot of energy, I now still have those 2 automatic rest sessions and a fresh ticker reset. It may not get me back into training on Monday, but those are two training sessions that I don't have to miss out on.
  16. Anyways, I have nothing against Gable and I have nothing against Blitz Rio. I'm just tired of seeing Jacky jump every forum with it. Now that I can ignore him, I could care less about the matter.
  17. I still think whether it's Jacky or not it's his duty to defend against who's put in front if him. It'd be like Anderson Silva declining to fight Chael because he doesn't like him as a person. While it makes sense, the champion is the champion and should defend his belt against anyone no matter what the conflict. But maybe that's just me.
  18. I honestly don't know at this point. I'm very conflicted. I kind of feel like once he wouldn't pay back the signing bonus it was on him, but I also don't think it was right for the champ to refuse to fight him. In all honesty I think the champion shouldn't have the right to refuse a match up. He's supposed to take on all comers no matter what the situation and that's a part of being a champion. Right now, I feel like I would hold Jacky hostage until he paid back while also stripping the champion for refusing to defend.
  19. Where is the ignore button. I've never heard of or seen it. That's something I'd have loved to known about 2 months ago. lol
  20. Ignore my last post. I posted it before reading Gables. Anyways, I feel like the fact that Gable agrees to drop it if Jacky will stop with the talk that Jacky just needs to man up and agree to leave Gable alone. He wants H.P. released and he now has a way.
  21. Because every thread we makes turns into a "Like Blitz Rio cheats holding fighters hostage" thread. Whether you think he handled it fairly or not, we still have to read Jacky hijacking every thread. Anything that stops Jacky from hijacking threads with Gable and Blitz Rio complaints is a plus in my books. And for the record, initially I think Gable handled it fairly. Pay the signing bonus back and all is well. However, with his champion refusing to fight Hard Puncher, why does the champion not get punished? Why is it the champions able to pick and choose his fights? I get it, Jacky didn't sign back up with another orgs belt. However, he left fairly when his contract was up. He left fairly within the confines of what contracts were meant to do. He didn't find an error in coding of contracts to do it. Either way, BOTH guys are now in the wrong. It's just a question of who is more in the wrong then the other.
  22. If Jacky agreed to leave Blitz Rio or Gable out of any forum post he makes and you get paid back your signing bonus would you let him go? That's my question. Now I'm saying he agrees and risks potential forum ban if he doesn't stick to his word. Something where it be known that if he brings up Blitz Rio or Gable then the moderators can put a week long forum ban or something like that on him. Now I know this won't happen but I'd like to know if that's all you're looking for. And I do understand where you're coming from to an extent Gable, but how long is this going to go on until you say ok, I got you back and end it? How long do you have to hold H.P. hostage until it's even? I personally think it's been long enough. People are offering to pay back more than his signing bonus and there are people who are actually playing Jacky off to be the good guy. You don't really want to make Jacky the good guy do you? lol.
  23. So would the popularity actually go down if they fight cans or would it just not go up as fast? I think it should actually drop a little. I like this idea and I even think 4 or 5 is too high. I think 2 or maybe 3 should be the cap. I actually think this is my favorite idea so far as stopping the Zyd effect from happening anymore.
  24. I agree with this, but it still should be sped up a little bit.
  25. +1 to Deamus. Brings up a great point.
