  1. I'm trying to add a banner image into my signature but for some reason when I click the insert image button the image uploader doesn't come up for me to input the URL.
  2. What are the organization banners used for? I recently bought an organization and I created a banner which I can view on my staff page but I have no idea what it's used for? Is it something on the highstreet or what?
  3. That would be kind of screw for people who have already fought K-1, but I would agree that different records should apply.
  4. I think I said it wrong. I'm talking more about the lack of good public gyms. All the public gyms around at the moment are over crowded and not very effective at this point. With the new changes higher levels of sparring are better, but classes are still vastly overcrowded because nobody wants to own a public gym. I just think we need to figure something out to make gyms more profitable and more interesting and fun to run. That's what I was getting at with my post.
  5. I'm not in the top 100 which is probably why I'd be happier working on other aspects such as public gym quality over rankings. I understand the need for both but as far as my thinking goes we want more people in the game and I think allowing them quality training to get their fighter into those top ranks would be more effective than fighting about which fighter is better than the other or which manager is better.
  6. I think so also. I also think that if you have a high rated fight that you shouldn't take a pop and hype hit. It'd be the equivalent to me of saturday night between Shogun and Hendo. Both men fought their asses off and any lesser man would have been knocked out on both sides. I think in cases of fights that are that epic that both fighters should get a boost in hype and popularity and not a loss. I can understand the losing fighter having a big morale drop, but not hype and popularity.

    NC by overweight

I think the overweight fighter should still fight but they lose a chunk of their energy. For example for each 1/2 pound over they are energy drops by 10%. This will give the fighter who makes weight an advantage. Kinda like what happened with Shamar Bailey. Weighed in at 158 and still fought and got his ass whooped.
  8. Yeah, I know what you mean and I agree. If you read your fighters fights and keep track of what means what you should at least know if you have decent, good, great, terrible, etc.
  9. I bet people aren't as close to knowing their hiddens as they think they are. Lol. Not saying I agree with showing hiddens, I just think out of 150 points that people couldn't guess within 20 points of half of all their established fighters hiddens. They can be very tricky and decieving.
  10. I tried that before... not all it's cracked up to be.
  11. Yeah, Jacky will keep going until you put up. There's no shut up when it comes to Jacky.
  12. I've never been one to agree with Jacky but if you're confident in your fighter being better than his why not just take the fight? Making it a test of grammar doesn't even make sense. This is MMATycoon. Not English class.
  13. I disagree also. I just kind da feel like we had our chance to change them and let them be now. Getting fighters out of free agency and fighting out they have bad aptitude is part of the risk with the free agency. Kinda like hiddens.
  14. I don't think all sponsorships should be cancelled but maybe it can give them an option to opt out like on the contracts page with orgs past inactivity time. Instead of inactivity time it would just pop up after the fighters been through the free agency. Then that way the manager picking up the fighter can decide what they'd like to do.
  15. I agree with that completely. I love this game which is why I've played it for as long as I have.
  16. The point wasn't necessarily to make everything automated. It was more or less just an idea to introduce training camps somehow as every fighter has pre-fight training camps. I was more or less fishing for ideas. I just think a training camp in some way would be a cool idea. As for the first idea, I'd be the first to admit it was not the greatest. Just sparking the brain I guess.
  17. I saw up farther that you said that, I was asking more for Lost, but I agree. Don't penalize smaller orgs for having ten and don't boost bigger orgs ratings or hype for having 15.
  18. Alright, I want to begin by saying that this was an idea I thought up tired and may need tweaking before it even makes sense. But to start, Fight Strategies/Gameplans I've always loved the idea of fight strategies or gameplans. It's no secret that every fighter trains or sets up training to their specific opponent and I think this would do what Mikes original intention was with the tickers. Now I've based this somewhat off of how UFC Undisputed does it just so everyone knows but it would be based off of certain strategies people would prefer to employ against their next opponent. This could play into training effect and fight effect. The basic idea is that you can train and implement gameplans according to opponents. As the system is now, once you've reached top tier or even mid tier it's all about maintenance. People try to maintain their skills and use sliders to compensate when their outmatched but what if we could take boosts and declines based on different strategies we'd like to use in our upcoming match. It would be something like a one fight affect and strategy would reset once the fight was over. From here you could reset your strategy again towards your next opponent. It would preferably lock in until the fight is over by maybe setting it along with your fight offer. It could have some things like "none" which would keep all stats or skills the same or maybe "keep it on your feet" which would give a small boost to wrestling training and takedown defense but at the same time you may take a slight decrease in another area for the time. Idk, honestly it's all just hypothetical right now and just an idea that is VERY VERY rough around the edges assuming there are any edges, but I think it'd be something interesting to discuss. Training Camps Now I already know this one is a stratch as it'd probably be a huge change that would not go over well with all the people who aren't for any changes, but it's an idea. It's not the bible by any means and is meant for interpretation and critique. Anyways, I thought it would be a cool idea to add computer ran or manager ran training camps that would be specifically used for two weeks before a fight. This would involve the camps picking some sort of specialty, for example wrestling, boxing, muay thai or BJJ. If people wanted it could also be broken down into more of a sprawl and brawl, ground and pound, submission or any categorizing possible. Point being is that each one would have it's own purpose. So how it would work is that you can either stay in your own gym and train how you'd like or, you can pick a training camp and sign your fighter up for it. At this point the game would take over and two weeks before your fight the fighter would attend the training camp and you would lose control over your the fighters training. From here, your fighter would follow the guidelines of the type of training camp you joined. So if the owner set your ground and pound camp to focus on takedowns first and ground and pound second, you could get a boost of per say 50% towards takedown offense and 30$ towards ground and pound. Just a rough example. So for the first week this would be an intense training where you would see most of your gains. This could help fighter and strategy gains. For example, if you attended a ground and pound training camp, maybe now you could set your fighters sliders a bit more towards see how it goes and he then could gage a bit better and be a bit more successful with those skills then per say he had just remained at his gym doing his own thing. Then the second week of all training camps would be geared more towards cardio and strength just to make sure he stays in top shape for the fight. All tickers would be frozen for the week before the fight and the only thing it would do is maintain his conditioning. Then come fight time, your fighter has the proper rest and could see larger gains in the areas he's focused on in that training camp. These training camps in my opinion should always remain public however just to keep people from taking advantage of it as many people complain about with public gyms. And last I'd just add some sort of ownership tasks for the manager of said training camp to do to maybe make it a bit more fun to run one. Maybe we could actually make them buy equipment and work their way up a ladder to continue to improve their training camp to make more top fighters want to come to it or something like that. Just a way to give them something to work towards so that every camp doesn't peak right away and get bored with running it. Well that's all I have. I'd really love to hear ideas and opinions on what people think could polish this idea and make it look like a decent idea. And for the people who hate the idea, that's completely fine but I'd really love to hear what you hate about it so I can tweak and think of some other things that could work.
  19. Real life cards around Michigan are all over 20. I can't speak for ANYWHERE else because I've only seen them in Michigan though. Lol. And writers don't have to write out all 15 fights. It could remain at 10 for writers and then it would just be used as motivation for the lower fighters to get their hype up to make the write ups. But I know what you mean. Writing 15 match reviews and previews would be terrible.
  20. Do you guys just refuse to read what you don't like? I clearly said that I could care less if there was a boost from 10 to 15. I get your point that people who wanted 10 fights instead of 15 would be behind people using 15 but I really don't care about the boost. If you guys would accept that hype between 10 fights and 15 fights would have no difference then would there be an issue with 15?
  21. A baseline is a baseline for that reason... it's what you get your base off of. It's not a fluctuating number that can change. And that is my point exactly. With 160 fighters, 15 fights a card would be much better. That's the exact point I'm trying to make. And on top of that it also would add to great cards such as Karter was speaking of. For a show like Syn's 200th show, why not be able to pull out all the strings? It'd be great for some of these supercards to be able to showcase the top 30 or 40 fighters they can get and not only the top 20. It would just be great. And in all honesty, I could care less if you get a boost past 10 fights. It'd just be great to be able to add more fights to your card if you'd like. Very few organizations in the real world host 10 fights cards.
  22. No... 10 is the baseline because its the current Max. You can't just set 5 at the baseline for no reason. Doesn't make sense. And having 150 to 200 is working harder on your organization because you've worked sending out fair contracts and negotiating left and right to acquire that many roster members. You've put more time and effort into the process at that point. And having more fighters allows more fighters per weight class giving you more variety in each vweight class and making it so your fighters aren't always fighting the same people.
  23. We're using now as a baseline. Everyone who gets 10 fights on their card now would get the same rating on the new system with a 10 fight card. That would never change and would always stay constant meaning no penalty. It's not a penalty if you don't lose anything. However, the people who use the 15 or whatever would get a SMALL boost in my eyes. Whether that's what Karter was thinking I don't know. And its ignorant to say an organization should drop fighters because a start up org can't easily work with the same parameters. So because smaller orgs won't just book 10, the organizations who took the time out to send out contracts and build up hype to create a larger, with more variety of fighters org will be penalized? That's seems backwards. I think the harder you work for your org, the more gains you should get... not negatives.
  24. As I stated in the thread about speeding up aging, I'm all for it. Just don't penalize anyone from 10 to whatever the new cap would be and it would be great.
