  1. You better watch out You better not cry Better not pout I'm telling you why Douchebag Santa is coming to town
  2. This is primarily a forum for game, though. I think it's reasonable to expect to visit the game forum without having results spoiled.
  3. Well, we'll see what happens, but I really don't think Sherdog editors are in the pocket of Strikeforce as you suggest. During "Beatdown After the Bell" TJ said that Brock Lesnar was now the #1 heavyweight in the world. Furthermore, Mike Fridley wrote in the blog that Fedor "arguably (considering the recent slides of Tim Sylvia and Andrei Arlovski) hasn’t won a blockbuster fight in five years."
  4. Are people going to start calling Werdum "The February Revolution"?
  5. Even if the strike was illegal, though, you almost never see a fighter interrupted after one shot to the back of the head. Fighters almost always get multiple warnings.
  6. ??? What are you talking about, man? You joined the 18th of June, and this has been in place for months. Not to mention that all of your fighters in this account are based in LA.
  7. Let's get this out of the way, then: Do you believe that Manute Bol could have been an effective fighter? Do you believe someone far thinner could have been an effective fighter? These are yes or no questions.
  8. Here's a selection from the wikipedia link that you posted: Bol could barely play basketball with his physique. What makes anyone think he could fight?
  9. Manute Bol was a freakishly tall and thin person at his regular weight. I doubt his body could have withstood the hardships of professional fighting anyway, let alone if we was trying to cut weight. As far as Bol making 185, that is unadulterated horseshit. I'll believe it when I see it. For comparison purposes, Gheorghe Mureşan is also 7'7" and he weighs more than 300 pounds. Although his proportions definitely aren't as freakishly terrifying as Bol's, Muresan isn't carrying around a lot of extra bulk. 7'7" Manute Bol looked unhealthy at 225 pounds, but that's not even what we're talking about here. We're talking about 7'4" athletes being effective fighters at 135 pounds or less. In one case the guy is less than 100 pounds, and those situations are completely preposterous. The engine should be applying much larger negative modifiers, because people with those proportions should barely be able to move, let alone fight.
  10. I think this is the best course of action. A 225 cm tall bantamweight probably shouldn't be capable of fighting, so the negatives would have to be dialed up considerably.
  11. Not to mention that M1 has to be one of the shadiest promotions in the business.
  12. I think Court, Hamill and A Train will win.
  13. Rewatching the Franklin-Liddell fight, you can see Rich land multiple lefts after he knows his arm is broken. Great performance by Ace, and a great fight overall.
  14. I guess he got tired of taking so much shit for being an asshole and just quit playing. That's too bad. I didn't like him, but it's too bad that he decided that it was easier to quit than to change his behavior.
  15. You'll need all those sick days because being a slave is bad for your health.
  16. Shawn Makillim has had 4 NCs in his last five fights, and they have all been with CFC. That's nuts.
  17. No, we have vacation, it just isn't mandated by law.
  18. The US has no statutory minimum leave, but virtually every employer offers vacation benefits. I have never had a job that didn't.
  19. Hey, you're coming up on your 1 year anniversary. Congrats! I have had one NC, but it was the other guy's fault.
  20. 5-0 Vegas featherweight Carl Menger [37187] is accepting contract offers.
  21. I agree. The first round was a close round that probably should have gone to Brilz. The second and third clearly went to Brilz and Nog respectively. In other words, scoring one close round one way or the other made all the difference. While I do think Nog got a gift decision, it wasn't bad enough that I would call it robbery.
  22. He stood there and "let" Rashad recover because Rampage gasping for breath. Rampage had nothing.
  23. This manager is one hell of a good sport about the game.
  24. Nonsense, you don't know anything about me or my habits as a manager. I look after my fighters, but I also expect other managers to act in an ethical fashion. That's apparently a very high standard.
