  1. Carmelo Anthony DID get offered the rematch. He declined. Falcone is waiting for the the number one contender to become available. Right now all viable opponents for Falcone are already scheduled to matches. Don't pretend you see something you don't. Look to Carmelo Anthony for reasons why it LOOKS different that the situation at 205. You don't have all the information (until now). I do NOT play favorites. I had looked over the ranks and sought other opponents at 205 also. But no one else was even close at that time. So Orndorf got the rematch. Then at 185, same thing. No one was even close, so I sent the offer out for Carmelo Anthony to attempt to regain his title. His response... well, that was between him and me, let's just leave it at this. He declined to face Falcone again. That does pose some problems at the top ranks of the 185. It means that Falcone will not get a title defense for some time since I will NOT have him fight someone four or five ranks out from the top.
  2. I also am paying the same as the OP. I have a bit more time then him, but am running out also.
  3. Another KT org down the drain...
  4. The amount of hit is still based on the distance traveled. Going from Vegas to Sydney, you may as well just slit your own wrists, because the hit you're going to take will be monstrous. I had an undefeated fighter come in from New York to Sydney, because i was unable to cancel the autoflight in time. Not only did I lose so much energy that I almost did not make weight, but i was so weak that my otherwise roughly equal opponent was able to beat me like a red-headed step-child.
  5. Brunno Falcone: Yo, Heydrich. You tinks dat you deserve da title shot? Yous only ranked number 4. How you tink da udder guys in da division would tink about me skippin' yous ahead to fight for da title, what wit dem earning the higher ranked spots and all, huh? When you is da number one contender you gets da title fight. It's dat simple. Ain't no one being protected and yous talkin' out yous ass if'n yous tink dats what's happenin'. You's doin' real nice here is RISE and another good win or two and yous might be gettin' dat shot, but until den, shut your mouth. I ain't about ta change da way I do shit around here just to keep a loudmout like yous quiet, capice?

  7. I don't know if double the price for a second company slot is the right price point for it, but I would pay 50% of VIP price for the extra slot. Also I am not 100% sure that I like the idea of a second company slot in the strictest sense. I would prefer to see all VIP's be allowed a Private gym and a Company Slot. if they paid that extra 50% VIP fee to have it. I could be sold on the second company slot with the caveat being that they cannot network with each other. The whole reason (I suspect) that multiple companies were removed from the game in the first place is to prevent someone from just creating their own clothing company and then sponsoring all their own fighters (which technically I see nothing wrong with), and being their own Merch Partner, an org which then partners with their own Clothing or Nutrition company, and a Nutrition company to then provide really cheap 160Q products to their own fighters. personally I don't know how bad that would really be in the long run, but I am sure it is easily exploited. Also I can see it making it uneven playing field for newer players trying to break into one of those businesses. Clothing companies aside, it is nearly impossible to be competitive with existing companies owned by older managers. It is very tough for a newbie to open a successful Nutrition Company or Org for example. I would be fully in-favor of an increase of 10-30% in the VIP price. (Obviously, I would be just fine with no increase or with the lower of that range, but realistically I think he could bring in significantly more revenue if he bumped up the price of VIP a bit. I doubt anyone who is paying for VIP now would really be that butt-chaffed at having to pay an extra dollar per month. This first point would not hurt me either as long as the ads are unobtrusive, at least somewhat relevant (ie, not erectile dysfunction, drugs or penis enhancement advertisements, please), and no pop-ups. I would probably not buy any more fighter slots. Time management becomes and issue there I think. we can already buy like 25 slots and I have not done so. Gym availability and time are just not there for me and so I am actually shrinking my stable size not growing it. That said, I give less than a damn if Mike wants to allow more fighter slots. It certainly would not hurt me. I just would not partake. I would much prefer to see a Private Gym + Company Slot rather than two companies option, but, again, would not develop an ass rash if Mike allowed two companies. I think that the fair price-point for this option (either one) would be to charge +%50 of the VIP price to have the Second Company or Private Gym + Company slot (+$15/year at the current prices). I think what could work for this is to give fighters under 18 a higher minimum learning speed. Say minimum of 4.5 for 16 year old and minimum of 5 for 17 year old and then add the favored hidden bonus, (if selected), and roll randomly. Note I am NOT saying that the starting value is 4 or 4.5. Just that if the roll (and Fast Learner Hidden Bonus) are less then those values then they get set to those values. It doesn't mean you will be guaranteed a fast learner, but it does reduce the chances of you rolling a complete dud after spending real life money on them. That might make them more appealing also. Not sure how I feel about the paying to find out what your exact hiddens are. I am leaning towards this not being a great idea. Not really sure how I feel about the FA auction thing either. I think it will negatively affect orgs like the one I co-own from retaining the fighters that get cut under contract. If you have to pay VIP time for them I feel less people will be likely to try to get them. Those that do not want to pay VIP will likely assume that they will not win the bid and not even bother and those that are willing will not take a chance on someone else's cast offs, unless they are fairly certain that they can win with them. That will likely cause fighters that might otherwise get picked up to sit in FA Hell until they get retired. Plus, this option smells ever so slightly like a bit of pay-to-win. That is never a good thing. This is not some shitty Facebook game. This is the most addictive MMA game on the internet.
  8. I would not be opposed to some adspace on here honestly. As long as it is not throwing popups in my face and so on.
  9. PM me on this topic and I'll go into more detail on that question. I think that that would be a tad off topic and long winded for this thread. For the record I do not think you are/were being an asshole, or anything like that. You probably just didn't think of it from the org perspective and said to yourself, "Hey, this guy sucks" or whatever and so cut him lose. But I can go into more detail on my thoughts on how this should have been handled and even what I think will happen now. It's part of the reason that I do not tend to mess with FAs.
  10. I actually do residential plumbing, and maintenance so I could pimp myself out for you guys except your probably scattered all over the World... I know Mike is in England and that's pretty much right out. LOL
  11. We are not going to agree on this. That much is clear. I never said I am going to hold anyone hostage. There really is no way to do that anyway. If the manager PMd me and said that he was going to sack the fighter, then So be it. but to just drop a fighter that is under CONTRACT and has taken my money, then yes, that is rude. Chances are, that as long as the manager in question just PMd and told me of his intention to sack the fighter that I would simply release him from his contract. That simple. I'm not asking anyone to play for my benefit, But I am asking them not to fuck me for their own benefit either. Sacking a fighter that took a signing bonus (depending on how large a bonus it was) is rude, and it does hurt the org that gave you that money as an enticement to fight for them. Especially if that org is a smaller or newer org that is trying to build up it's roster. Now they would have to go out and recruit a replacement for that fighter (and pay him a signing bonus as well), and they still haven't gained anything. They just broke even in terms of roster size and therefore have to recruit yet another fighter to get ahead. So yeah. It is RUDE to dick someone else over just for the Hell of it. Especially since most org owners are reasonable enough to acknowledge that sometimes you get a fighter that is just a dud or is a slow learner or whatever and doesn't want them any more. I get it, and have never actually refused anyone a release from their contract when they asked me/informed me of their intent. I was putting vague suggestions of the scenario in which I would ask for a signing bonus back. I had one guy sign a renegotiation contract with me taking a significant signing bonus seeing as how this was his second or third contract with us and then he just up and sacked the fighter immediately after taking our money. That was just a dick move. I told him about it in no uncertain terms. Otherwise, I generally do not give anyone any issue with leaving as long as they simply let me know their intentions to leave, and maybe why, so that we can at least discuss if there is something I can do to address any concerns they may have.
  12. Didn't realize he was here that long. But yeah... read the forums and don't be afraid to ask older managers for advice. Most are quite helpful. This is true. It's a classic mistake for a newbie to make. The logic being to make the fighter balanced right out of the gate seems valid, but in reality you need to be more of a specialist at first and then round the fighter out as you develop.
  13. Totally disagree. You signed a contract. You should honor it. If the guy asked me to be released from the contract I would probably ask him why he was unhappy and see if we could do something to rectify the situation. If he just really wanted out and didn't have some valid reason, then i would want my signing bonus back. I have spent Hundreds of thousands of game dollars only to have some guy just sack the fighter. A young org like mine has to struggle to stay above water and throwing money away on guys is not helpful. That said, there are circumstances where I would have either let the guy go without cost or even sent him more money depending on the circumstances, but to just have a guy cut and run is rude. there is no other word for that. Read the contract first before signing it. If you don't like the terms then the time to renegotiate is before accepting the contract. Not afterwards.
  14. It's considered rude to sack a fighter while he is under contract though. You should contact the org owner and see if he would like his signing bonus back.
  15. Trust me. Once you start fighting and signing fighters and so on you will not need it. Having someone gift you $50K is very helpful though. Definitely do look into getting yourself a mentor. It will help you immensely.

  17. Fighters cannot funnel money back into an org. Only the org owner can directly deposit money into the org bank account.
  18. Oh... OK. I thought the 3000 points was for everything. Fair enough.
  19. My bad, I misread that and added one too many clinchwork coaches. The reworked numbers are as follows: 2 Triple Elite Clinchwork Coaches (Wrestling, Boxing, MT) - 450pts each 4 Double Elite Standup Coaches (Boxing, MT) - 300pts each 3 Double Elite Grappling Coaches (Wrestling, BJJ) - 300pts each 3 Elite Fitness Coaches (Fitness) - 150pts each So the Totals look like this: 900pts 1200pts 900pts 450pts Grand Total: 3450pts. My earlier calculations included another triple elite coach and added 450pts to the figures, but these are accurate. Now if you reduce the Boxing of the clinchwork coaches to 120 (Exceptional) that shaves 60pts off. The Wiki states that Boxing only needs to be a secondary to get the full training but does not state what that level means exactly, so I am going with 120 for the purposes of this. Still over by 390pts. So? Lose one of the four Boxing, MT coaches? that drops the total by 300. Still need to shave 90 points somewhere...
  20. Only one problem. If you put all those elite coaches in you will be over by 900 points. I even tried trimming it down a bit by having the Clinchwork coaches at 150/150/120 (for Wrestling which only needs to be secondary) and it is still way over. I would need to cut over 700 points to be able to hire all these coaches. Even dropping a bunch of them to 140 doesn't help much (especially if your fighters are already getting very close to or over 140 already). Losing one of the Clinchwork coaches altogether would cut off 420 points, but you would still be over by 330 points.
  21. I know I have not bothered to train up Elbows and Knees. Maybe I will when Punches, Kicks, Clinchwork, Strike Defense, Takedown Defense, Defensive Grappling, and Escapes are all Elite... Or maybe I'll just get all my Physicals to Elite instead... Honestly, it looks like Punches are still the way to go in game.
  22. That is extremely helpful information.
