  1. I apologize first off for my absence of late, I have been having internet troubles and was not able to get online as often as I normally am. Thanks to Daddy Winger for stepping up and trying to get updated ratings out, but he is not familiar with the methods I use to rank fighters so you may notice some weird discrepancies from last month's* rankings. Sorry for any confusion, but these are the official RISE Rankings for 11/4/2018. The position arrows are based on adjustments from Winger's post and not the previous post made by myself. These are simply adjustments made to his listings. Again sorry for the inconvenience and confusion. 2. Welcome to the game, Vasco. You should check out the new players guides that are posted in the forums and get helpful hints and tips to ease your learning of the game. Enjoy.
  3. Sorry. been having internet issues. Will get it sorted tomorrow when not on mobile
  4. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/15213067353361.gif Corey Smith Jr.: First of all, that wasn't exactly a beat down. You won a 29:28 decision. You won. I'm not arguing that. But look at the injuries to see who was "beat down". Me, 3 days. You 11 days. You scored points, I did damage. Secondly, who the fuck did I ever duck? No one, that's who. I have taken every single fight offered to me in this org. I don't duck fights, asshole. You will get beat by the big dogs in this org and someday you and I will meet again. I will not lose to you a second time. Enjoy your hugfest, points win. Next time we fight I will finish you.
  5. I do agree that the flights energy loss is really dumb. I don't know what the cure for this problem is. Especially since private jets are a thing. A thing that has been made all but useless in the game since locations were turned off. With auto flights on all it does is confuse people and cause people to come into the fight way under power... the whole thing is just fucked. Probably the best solution is to kill the flights thing altogether and rethink private jets. Perhaps if something in-game was designed so that fighters and managers had things to spend money on then keeping private jets around would be cool. So would fancy sports cars and other things like that. Basically, I agree that the whole flights part of the game needs either killed or reworked so that it makes sense, doesn't completely shit on a guy for fucking up or not knowing how to fix it, and isn't a colossal pain in the dick hole.
  6. Yep... I might go change my vote. This is pretty much what I envisioned when I voted anyway. I am already the co-owner of an org and while it might be kinda nice to open my own org and maybe make some money or whatever, I am not willing to close my gym which gives me the training i need for my fighters. So, truth be told... I would open a public gym or possibly a semi-private gym for VIPs only, if this were implemented. I think you, and others that have pointed out the cons of two businesses are correct and it would make more problems then it solved.
  7. Way to break that down, Dufus. I didn't know some of that stuff, like the part about CT General not affecting the rest of them.
  8. Yup... Totally agree. It's what tempts me to do the same. I don't but I am tempted to do so. This would be a better solution then two businesses (although effectively it is two businesses, it just makes them have a private gym and then a real business), and, ultimately, my reasoning for having voted yes in favor of two businesses. I think this would, in fact be a better solution then trying to make sure they aren't networking with each other and so on. It is an idea that I have tossed about before and was thinking about writing up a proposal to send to Mike. Maybe I still will.
  9. Yup. this gives those guilty of it access to private gyms that they wouldn't necessarily have had without them, it definitely pumps up their hype making difficult to make the top ranks because of their manipulations and it makes it more difficult to find event partners, nutrition partners and sponsorships for those without them. So, you might think it does not affect you, but it does. plus, it's just aggravating to those that do not cheat.

  11. True. They are only good up to about Superb then they drop off sharply. But for noobies they are still decent. A couch only has to be 20% better then the student to give full benefits as of the last training changes a few years ago. Problem is there is not really any middle of the road when it comes to training. Either you have 1-1 training with Elite coaches and train beasts, or you don't and you have mediocre fighters It really needs to be addressed in some way and since it does not seem likely that Mike will change it any time soon then we, the community, need to attempt to do something about making it better for noobies. Because retaining them and having them recruit their friends is really the only way this game stays around in the long run.
  12. The problem is that the point of making a public gym is for noobies. Noobies cannot afford $1000/week and at 30+ fighters the gym will be over crowded. Getting at best 2-1 training. Now for a noobie that is not bad at all. But what needs to happen for a public gym for noobies is to not have all the coaches be Elite or Double Elite. Wonderful coaches will do just fine for noobs in a public gym. A single Wonderful coach costs I think $1710/week. Double that for Double Wonderful and for the clinchwork coach, you could get away with say Wonderful/Wonderful/Superb and it would be around $3730/week. Fitness coaches only need single Wonderful and you need 13-14 coaches to cover all skills. Maybe can get away with 12 coaches if you don't have them teach just one skill all week. So looking at an average cost across the board for the gym of (very roughly) $ 28280 for twelve coaches. Some of these coaches are doubling up on skills; Elbows and Knees for example. Add in cleaning costs of $12 per member which will come out to $360 for 30 fighters. Even with those low numbers you would still need to have the fees set to $1000 to break even. Well... you will make about $700 per week with these numbers. Roughly. So, again the problem with public gyms is that you have to choose between making profit or offering decent training. And decent training isn't even possible for this gym. It's still 3-1 training which sucks. Furthermore, you're price point is still way up there. So, still out of reach for a noob. To get the price point down to around $500 you need to double the number of fighters and then you only make about $300 profit. The gym situation really needs worked on.
  13. I get you... That's why it's difficult, if not impossible to argue with you. Technically speaking I am not arguing, because you aren't wrong. I'm just trying to work out the logistics of it to make the problem less prevalent. I am perfectly fine with say charging 50% more per extra business beyond the first (Making a year of VIP be $45 for two businesses and $60 for three if that would even be allowed and I am not advocating for it) and making it so that they cannot interact with each other. Even that still does not necessarily mean that it will dissuade anyone from getting multi accounts so that they can still "network" with themselves. But the point is to put ideas out there and let the community hash out the pros and cons and see if a position can be reached that is better then the current one. Ultimately, the cheaters gonna cheat no matter what and it doesn't really affect me that much. I have still managed to claw my way into the top 40 and am still likely to climb further up still. So what if I didn't do it in my first year like Blake Phoenix did. I have the satisfaction of knowing that I did it without cheating or shady tactics. Again, I don't think you are wrong. My thought is that maybe, just maybe it will mitigate it somewhat. Especially if coupled with a harsher stance on punishing those that flagrantly violate the rules.
  14. Not going to quote that as it's very large, but I will comment on it. I agree with you almost entirely on your conclusions. The easy solution to your concerns though is making it that you cannot network with your own companies. And that can be hard coded so as to make it simply not work. This may or may not curb the number of multis (one hopes it would) but it will make a lot more businesses appear in game and that would make the possibility of finding merch partners, nutrition partners, and sponsors much easier.
  15. Chris Karter did, in fact, say, fight early, fight often. He may have specified a time table or not. I don't recall, but it helps prevent those pesky depops for your young guns
  16. I'm pleased to see that you are interested in learning first by working with existing orgs rather than jumping in without any understanding into the most difficult and time consuming aspect of the game. PM me about working with RISE fight league and I can help teach you how to do org stuff. and you can earn some game cash as well. The other two posted by Bwang are also good choices if you decide to go with one of them.
  17. I didn't start at the very beginning, but I did start in 2010 and there was skill decline due to old age and a skill cap by then. Escapes and Transitions were not around yet. TD and Sub Spam did not work because you would get energy drained from doing it over and over like that (apparently that has been Nerfed again), the 100% counter era had just ended and there was just starting to be a lot of money getting circulated. There were still a decent amount of public gyms available, but the quality was lacking since they were all overcrowded and so if you did not have a private gym then you were going to lose against those that did. but the game was fun and exciting and I got addicted to it and I still am. I left for about four years due to life fucking me as usual and finally I got back to it and now I am going to stay until the whole thing crashes and burns, which hopefully will be many many years and lots of money from now
  18. i have been noticing that same thing. I finally broke the top 40 then lost a fight and dropped to 76th place. Just this weekend I won a fight and didn't move up at all... it's insane P.S. I know you are good and all, but you going up three places without having any fights is really impressive...
  19. The cost of the flight would be $700 for this particular instance as you already determined. 80% of which is returned when you cancel the autoflight and there is no cost for returning to your own city post fight. So you will end up paying $140 for the autoflight which you canceled. Can be a bit rough for a young fighter, but the fight pay should more than offset that.

  21. RFL-47 was a successful event which saw some interesting developments in it. First off, congratulations to all the winners but especially the following fighters: Mike Sadollah. Mike won against a very game opponent in Robert Vanderweil, who, on paper, looks to be technically more skilled. Mike's win cemented his position as the Number One Contender for the title and he will be facing the champion after the next title fight. Whether his opponent will be Glass Joe, the current champion, or against Eta Knox, the challenger, remains to be seen. Torcadall "The Wall" Sailcirc. I was starting to feel bad about having made this match-up since it seemed so likely to be a one sided victory for Creed, who is an absolute beast. But Sailcirc was able to best the undefeated prospect with a guillotine choke that put the beast down. Carmelo Anthony. Secured his second title defense against a determined, but ultimately completely outclassed Ion Pascu. No one can doubt the heart of Pascu who never back down from the challenge, but just falls short of ability against this one particular opponent. Some fighters just have your number, and Carmelo Anthony certainly has Pascu's number, as he remains the only person to have ever beaten Pascu. Thanks to all the fighters and managers that helped to make this an exciting and successful event.
