  1. Well, it was faster. :-) Thanks, Mike.
  2. Hey, Mike ... I received a fight offer for Rory Rollman [18609] and tried to accept it, but it won't take. It reloads the screen and says "Fighter Accepted the fight offer" in red above the fight offer, but the fight offer still shows and it didn't confirm the fight in the list of fight offers at the bottom of the page. Can you help me out?
  3. What Brian said. We've all made mistakes and we learn from them. It's a slow process, but you'll learn more from your mistakes than your successes.

    Sparring

Mike has said that you get a message after you hit the point of diminishing returns ... so no message from your fighter, no diminishing returns. If you spar 3 sessions in a row of the same skill, you'll hit diminishing returns on the 3rd session. If you spar 5 session in a row using different skills, you'll hit diminishing returns on the 5th session. I've tried a lot of different combinations out since the sparring changes came out and those are the only triggers I've found so far.
  5. Striking defense covers all standup striking, but muay thai also figures into how well you defend against kicks.
  6. Paul's right. You can beat it if you only bet high on 1-20 and low on 30-50. If it's anything else, cash out and play again. I can consistently make thousands in 30 minutes. You'll win a few, lose a few, but then you'll get on a decent run and make the real money. You've just go to play consistently and have the willpower to cash out when you should.

    reply missing?

That's weird. It doesn't make sense that the same browser works differently. Gotta love computers. lol

You might want to try refreshing and letting the page finish loading. That usually works for me on Firefox.
  9. lol Ouch. Congrats on your brown belt. And just for the record ... I hate wall sits.
  10. He loses energy, but not as much as if he had worked out with weights. And yoga takes more energy than you realize ... it's tough holding static poses for an extended period of time.
  11. I'm pretty sure it's with a loan. And Kyle ... don't worry about paying me back. I'm forgiving the entire amount. Just take a deep breath before you spend any more money. :-)
  12. As long as you don't have the ticking timebomb of a loan looming over your head, you should be able to turn it around. $34k is plenty to work with, so you can send my fighters the $20k to repay me for my investment in Fighters First. Just split it up between them evenly.
  13. Kyle, I'll give you advice, but I'm concerned by your recent decisions. You're jumping in the deep end of the pool without your floaties on. lol Running an org is a lot higher risk than running a clothing company. You were in a great position to earn profit with Fighters First. You bought the company without any debt and you had the third most hyped clothing company in Vegas. I helped you come up with a viable marketing plan, quite a bit of new clothing, and enough cash to pull it off. If you had $27k left from Fighters First, you should have offered to pay my investment back. I probably wouldn't have accepted much of it, but just offering would have been the right thing to do. Bro, I understand you're all excited and you want to GO! GO! GO!. lol But you're going off half-cocked and that is a great way to bankrupt an organization in a hurry. I told you yesterday I would answer any questions you had today, but you've already blown through a huge chunk of cash and painted a bad picture of yourself on the forums. I really hope the mob ran you out of New York 'cause you're just making bad business decisions if they didn't. lol I'll give you the best advice I can, but I don't know if I can save you from yourself. You need to chill out and think before you leap. If you had taken your time and talked to me first, we could have come up with a solid plan for starting your org.
  14. Here's an error in the commentary from my last fight. The commentary says my guy lost by unanimous decision, but the scorecard shows it was a split decision. No big deal ... just thought you'd want to know about the error. http://www.mmatycoon.com/fightcommentary.php?FTID=57245

    Morale

What you're really asking is how much does it affect training and fighting. The truth is that no one really knows. It's part of the "secret formulas". But the Wiki certainly makes it sound like an important factor, so I'd consider it important and do whatever I could to make sure it stays as high as possible.
  16. What's the fighters current conditioning level?
  17. Hey, we can't help it, we're just nice guys. My new org is The Monster Factory. It's a training organization for new and inexperienced managers. I'll launch it in the next couple of weeks, just as soon as I finish my guide to creating and training fighters. Thanks for the kind words. I really appreciate it and I know Paul does too.
  18. Konflikt (LA) -- Paul's a great guy and he runs a great org. He's clever, creative, and funny. And he finds you fair fights too. Russian Combat (St. Pete) -- James is friendly, easy to work with, and just an all-around great guy. He runs a great org and finds fair fights. I've been with him since his very first card and he's always treated my guys well. Malicious Intent (Vegas) -- Brian's a great guy too and he runs a very good org. He's always helpful and easy to work with. It's Gon Rain Fights (Vegas) -- Danny's another great guy and he's super active. He's like a little Energizer bunny when it comes to scheduling events. lol Spartan Fight League (Vegas) -- Dana is another great guy and he's going to do great. Amazon Fighting Championship (Rio) -- Jay's a great guy too and he runs a great org. He's got some nasty fighters too. Notice a pattern there? All of these guys are friendly guys who will take care of you and your fighters. Can't ask for a better bunch of people.
  19. When I first started my org, I kept it around $4000 because profit was more valuable than the hype boost for the first few shows. After I was established, I started increasing it to see what effect it had on my event rating.
  20. No one expects you to have a high level fighter of your own sparring unless you start advertising it. You set the times and the members set their schedules. As a manager, I would recommend that you set two sparring sessions for each primary skill each week and stagger them so you don't have both boxing sessions on the same day followed by both submission grappling sessions the next day. The diminishing returns will kick in when you have too many sparring sessions in a row, even if they're a different skill.

lol You'll learn more from your mistakes, so just learn as much as you can. Play around with them and figure things out. I like 18 year olds because they learn quicker, but it takes a while to get them up to a really competitive level. I've got some 18 yeard olds that are going to be monsters when I get them trained up a bit.
  22. Crap like that is frustrating, but he's not worth worrying about. I'd just release him and let my friends who run orgs know to watch out for him.
  23. Here's a great post that explains the logic behind coaching skill and class sizes.

The only issue with this is they might compete for training slots if they're all at the same gym. I've got 5 of my guys in one elite gym right now and I can't schedule them all for the same class at a time or it will kill everyone's training for that slot.
  25. If your fighter is 1 week old, then yes. Next week, it'll show a 2 next to any skill that hasn't popped. When it pops, the number will reset to 0.
