Asmar Dagher
EFFA 139
Reporter: First off, congratulations on your 2nd win in the EFFA. How are you feeling after the victory?
Asmar: Pretty good. King landed with a couple of good shots but I think the adrenaline is blocking the pain at the moment.
R: This was the biggest event you've fought at, did that affect you in any way?
A: Yeah, I'm use to fighting in bars with 700 to 1000 people. To be bumped up to 5000 people was a big deal and a great honor for EFFA to throw me on a card this size.
R: You had a change of opponent a week before the fight, what are your thoughts on that?
A: It happens. You gotta be prepared to fight anyone. Huge respect to King for stepping up on short notice.
R: Did the fight play out as you expected?
A: I never have expectations for a fight. Anything can happen and anyone can win. After the fact, I felt like I did get hit too much. I've done a good job of avoiding most strikes in past fights but he cracked me with a couple good ones in this bout.
R: How do you feel about the current state of KT?
A: Well, it's certainly going through a phase at the moment. A lot of the old veterans have retired, and now us newcomers are having to take their place. Not a whole lot of in betweeners. Us young guys will step up though. I'm doing everything I can to lead the HW division in that direction.
R: Thank you for your time Asmar
A: Anytime
