  1. http://i.imgur.com/jP7FAXa.jpg Asmar Dagher EFFA 139 Reporter: First off, congratulations on your 2nd win in the EFFA. How are you feeling after the victory? Asmar: Pretty good. King landed with a couple of good shots but I think the adrenaline is blocking the pain at the moment. R: This was the biggest event you've fought at, did that affect you in any way? A: Yeah, I'm use to fighting in bars with 700 to 1000 people. To be bumped up to 5000 people was a big deal and a great honor for EFFA to throw me on a card this size. R: You had a change of opponent a week before the fight, what are your thoughts on that? A: It happens. You gotta be prepared to fight anyone. Huge respect to King for stepping up on short notice. R: Did the fight play out as you expected? A: I never have expectations for a fight. Anything can happen and anyone can win. After the fact, I felt like I did get hit too much. I've done a good job of avoiding most strikes in past fights but he cracked me with a couple good ones in this bout. R: How do you feel about the current state of KT? A: Well, it's certainly going through a phase at the moment. A lot of the old veterans have retired, and now us newcomers are having to take their place. Not a whole lot of in betweeners. Us young guys will step up though. I'm doing everything I can to lead the HW division in that direction. R: Thank you for your time Asmar A: Anytime
  2. Got a KT fighter with all wonderful physicals except conditioning which is sensational. Now, at one point should I focus on improving and specializing on certain areas in the physical department? I wouldn't imagine it would be possible to get them all to elite unless you sacrificed a good amount of other training.
  3. You guys amaze me, thanks so much. Hope to see you guys in the ring!
  4. Came back after a year long hiatus and currently working on building my KT fighter and I am pretty short on cash. Any help would be appreciated, however the loan needs to be set up is fine by me! Thanks.
  5. It just seems sorta weird for someone to be able to spart BJJ all day long, get his BJJ "Primary" up, and be worthless in submissions or anything else lol. Anyone care to explain?
  6. Should I work anything else or is generally just good to get physicals up that high then fight and train everything?
  7. Starting with conditioning at wonderful so he could train more, what should I bring everything up to as a minimum? 18 years old.
  8. Not very prominent in the community, but I was fairly active. Had lots of fun, and always felt welcome to the community. Fighter diversity still seems to be a big issue to me, and I feel as though the game needs a good revamp plus a restart. Anyways, lets not focus on the negatives and more so on the positives. Like I said, one hell of a community. I will always remember you guys dearly :'(. Lmao, peace.
  9. Realistically, this will probably never happen (I wouldn't mind) but what if there was a whole reset on everything? This would allow for a great deal of major changes to be made and how things run. My major changes would include: Taking out the primary skills as it doesn't make much sense to me. Allow the secondaries to decide what your primaries are. Revamp the skill allowance to allow for even more diversity amongst fighters, still not enough imo. Anything to give the game a more realistic and serious gameplay.

Stick around a bit longer and I'm sure someone will. Managers around here are pretty nice to the new ones like us but ya gotta be active ha
  11. Every time I get a fighter that is set to be really aggressive, I can't get off any shots. Does it just come down to speed? I don't have it set to 100 percent counter either, so it's really confusing.
  12. Didn't know him, pretty new around here. Sounds like a good guy, RIP.
  13. I was taking a look at the champion of one of my fighters 195k+ orgs and his primaries look too good: http://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilepublic.php?FID=195069 Wtf is that about? My fighter has spent the majority of his career training and his stats look so: http://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilemanager.php?FID=195254 Has the other guy just sparred his entire career and his secondaries look like shit or what? If private gyms make that big of a difference what's the point in even trying?
  14. Nvmind, refreshed and its good.

  17. Kick-Punch.com brings you a post fight interview with Ray Thoen right outside his hotel room: Interviewer: Thoen, it was nice to see you return to action after your devastating loss to Bailey awhile back and certainly in a winning fashion. Thoen: I couldn't agree more. Interviewer: There was lots of talk before this fight, coming from both parties. You seemed to be the one to back up your words with actions though, any comments on that? Thoen: Listen, I don't just talk to talk. Zizzo talked himself into a fight that he couldn't win. I said I was gonna knock him out, and I did. Interviewer: The straight right that you threw to knock out Zizzo was timed very well, was this something you had planned on using? Thoen: I don't plan on using anything. I don't plan on knocking someone out either. You're never gonna knock someone out if you are looking for it the whole fight. I look to get my timing down, and use my speed to counter him. If a shot lands that knocks him out, that's just icing on the cake of being a better kickboxer. Interviewer: What's next for Ray Thoen? Thoen: Considering I didn't waste too much energy out there, and the only thing that hurts is my right hand *laughs*....I hope to get back in the ring as soon as possible. Interviewer: Appreciate the time Thoen.
  18. If I take a look at the p4p, I still see plenty of guys with nearly Elite across the board primaries. Doesn't make much sense to me, as it is fairly unrealistic. Anyone else feel the same?
  19. I will agree (I didn't earlier) that wrestling does improve clinchwork, to an extent. It would be nice if Mike chimed in to let us know how much of a factor it does play into, or if it's like vanilla MMA. Which I believe is too much.
  20. There are no takedowns from clinch in KT however? They might benefit a little from "Balance" (which is a physical attribute, due mind you), but not that much.
  21. Local reporters caught up with Ray Thoen yet again after his training session in Amsterdam. Reporter: Zizzo's made some recent remarks and conversation about your upcoming fight, what are your thoughts? Thoen: Good to see he's still alive I guess. As far as my thoughts on what he said... *chuckles* he's delusional. Reporter: There has been lots of talk leading up to this kickboxing bout, is the hype real? Thoen: Listen, Zizzo called me out. People know that I enjoy getting into the head of my opponent as well before a fight. So obviously with the call out, my recent loss, ect...there's some realness to the fued here. Reporter: Putting all that aside, you still obviously have respect for the man..right? Thoen: I have respect for any man that's willing to get into the ring knowing he's gonna get his head tore off by me. Reporter: Training looked pretty intense today, the camp coming along nicely? Thoen: You want me to give you my whole fucking day's experience? Of course it's going good. If it wouldn't have been, I would have declined this interview. Reporter: Anything else to add before you leave? Thoen: I'm the future of kickboxing, Zizzo will just have to get stepped on again during my climb to the top. Reporter: Appreciate the time Thoen.
  22. It'd still be very little to any advantage. The only time you use a greco roman wrestling technique in kickboxing is to hold on to them. What happens when you hold on to them? The ref separates you. Wrestling should be taken out of KT clinchwork for the most part or all together.
  23. It could play a very small part in such but in all reality everything you do relies on MT and it's techniques. Idk, I just think it should play less of a role in such.
