  1. Probably April. 6 month season Aug-Jan, tournament Feb, usually a month gap after the tournament.
  2. The Island could use at least three new gyms: there are 100+ fighters in two of the gyms. edit: Well, there was... before Endgame Combat set itself to close this week. So, yeah, definitely a gym.
  3. I almost made it; it's still the first for me, but not the server.

  5. I'll bring an 18yo or two to each division. And a nutrition company. My idea from before was to run an 18-only three-headed org for KT, TWGC and MMA on The Island; then have optional crossover events/tournaments. It'd be interesting putting the best KT and TWGC guys in an MMA bout. That's a buttload of work, though.
  6. Then remove the monthly ordering cap or change it from 2500 to 9999. I've been back for a year now and twice I've seen one player completely fuck the game for months.
  7. Your do-nothing suggestion is absolutely ridiculous.
  8. Island fuckery. Continued fuckery off-Island. It's too coordinated and overlaps too much to be anything but organized fuckery. If I can tell you're running a multi scheme, and the only tool I'm using is my Island nutrition company, it has to be blatant. Once I released upgraded products, the old stuff was almost exclusively purchased by non-VIP managers created within a couple days of each other, all with five Island fighters, all with a similar theme (wwe/musicians/actors/pop culture, historical figures, jokes, etc.), all signed to 301st. I distinctly recall messaging a couple Island promoters when it was obvious to me that 301st Spartan was a multi org, and provided them with IDs that were blatant multis: I stood to benefit monetarily from their fuckery and knew Mike wasn't gonna stop it so I partnered up with their private gym, but the promoters should know not to sign these guys for fear of sabotage via blatantly bad sliders that make low-rated fights. If someone is willing to create literal hundreds of fighters to fuck with the system, they're willing to take other seemingly-unbelievable acts to achieve... whatever goals. The scale of that operation would be impressive if it weren't so pathetic.
  9. I've been around a few years now and this has always been my complaint. It's not changing. I (c'mon, let's be real: my dad) bought a new 4100 sq ft house 28 APR; in the last 30 days, we've: torn out all the carpet and subflooring and replaced them with hardwood; re-sided the house; replumbed all three bathrooms; and cleaned over 15 years worth of grime and filth off almost everything. I doubt he's still working on the bathroom. As long as he keeps running The Island at a reasonable frequency, I'll be back... probably. This was the first year someone took extreme multi fuckery to The Island, so it might be time to quit playing the game until Mike feels like being an active part of it again. I already quit giving him my money and only go VIP when someone else wants pays for it (exchange, VIP agreements) when it became obvious he was more interested in fighting with me about how "cartoony" my custom avatars were rather than dealing with cheaters.
  10. He's about 10 years too late to the internet. This whole thing went tits up a while ago, homie; sincerity and thoroughness are dead: long live memes and emoji.
  11. I've noticed that it's possible to release your fighters at the end of the Island season without choosing a relocation option; this effectively removes them from the game while keeping them active, putting them in permanent limbo. It's probably better to default to an actual location than have guys half disappear from the game. Either that, or make it possible for us to relocate guys who have no current base or location.
  12. That recent influx is from me; I set up shop in The Island when I came back 6-8 months ago and all the Island fighters I kept ended up at your gym and spar a bunch. The other half of my roster is at Kap, in Amsterdam too. All the multis from The Island went to Hilo and Helsinki.
  13. This is a big reason why I like The Island over the rest of the game: it's new every six months and the playing field is as level as it's going to get. Plus, you get more of the obvious Boxer vs. Wrestler type fights, which tend to be more fun to "watch" in pbp than evenly-contested supermen neutralizing each other to a decision.
  14. Six months after the season started (Nov), the 1-month tournament should start. That should probably be over in May. When the next season starts after that is a bit of a guess: maybe July?
  15. Also, it's worthwhile to just bookmark this: https://mmatycoon.com/scheduleflight.php
  16. tl;dr Either we define "valid reason" very differently, or we're not having the same conversation. See, what I hear is "you can't drop your fighter because he belongs to my org." That's not rude? Sometimes it has nothing to do with you or your org. Your suggestion is that the manager should first ask you to release the fighter from his contract so he can then drop the fighter; you've indicated you would hold the fighter hostage until the manager sent the signing bonus back. They aren't asking to void the contract and sign elsewhere: they're dropping them to free agency. You still have the fighter under contract, and if they're the kind of fighter you might have a valid reason to be upset over losing (or losing their signing bonus), someone's probably gonna pick 'em up as a free agent. You're asking someone else to play the game for your benefit, not their enjoyment: how is that not rude? Like I said, if (for example) they just signed their first contract with you and have only fought once (as is/was the case with the OP), that's rude; if they've already fought a couple times for your org and they just want to drop the guy, that's not rude: that's the game.
  17. It's not inherently rude. It's only rude if, like the OP, you just signed your contract. Even then, rude is probably a bit strong to be throwing at newbies. Asking for a signing bonus back is more gauche than sacking a fighter under contract.
  18. Fighters teleport if they aren't in the right city: http://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilemanager.php?FID=340290 never left Amsterdam for his fight in London today. I suspect the only way to NC anymore is to actually be on a flight when the fight is supposed to happen, but that's basically a guess.
  19. I remembered you from the Highland days when I saw your name pop up in Woodhouse's purchase history this week. (c: I also started playing again recently: nothing much has changed, honestly; there've been a couple tweaks to the meta over the years, but that's always been the case. MT got a bit of a buff recently and escapes training is no longer boosted. The biggest change is that you no longer need to fly in the main game: cancel your auto flight and your guy will teleport to the fight instead of causing a no-contest. You only fly if you have a jet and want to siphon funds from your fighter (which, of course, you do... eventually).
  20. I legitimately appreciate that Ajax has gotten my ancient gatekeeper 8 fights in under 4 months. There are plenty of owners who wouldn't even try to book a fighter on 7 days notice, let alone for every fight possible. Thanks, Jordan.
  21. He's 127353. I suggest you create a fighter on The Island. You start with $1700, all the fighters have been created within the last twoish months and all the businesses are newish, too. You'll be able to afford training there, and an 18yo can easily catch up with the 25yo creations if you keep them at one of the non-Cozad gyms for a while (ideally until they're 19, if you can find a $50/w gym and just train cardio/strength with the right supplement), enough to compete. edit: You can also create a 25yo and just start fighting to figure out the game mechanics while you keep your project(s) in the oven.
  22. When teleportation wasn't a thing, it made slightly more sense. If locations aren't relevant anymore, gyms aren't able to be run as proper businesses; perhaps within an alliance, but not independently. Gym owners can't control their product quality without going private and booting anyone they suspect isn't following the rules; unless I'm mistaken (and I'm pretty sure I'm not, since started again without VIP six months ago) non-VIP members can't see class sizes, giving public gym owners trying to keep class sizes down incentive to boot all non-VIP managers' fighters first. At this point, the whole game economy could stand to benefit from a cap increase. $1000/w limit for training? $300/2w limit for supplements? Clothes that cost the same as supplements? Coaching and nutrition caps should be doubled; open up 160-170q research; add a skill point max for physicals or remove the skill point max for secondaries; there are a lot of little things that could be done to change the status quo, but it's probably not happening. I mean, take The Island as a concept for business owners: you get six months competing inside a vacuum on mostly even grounds, then you're thrown into the main game world; unless you're running an org or a clothing company, you're screwed. Even if I ran my Island nut co revenue neutral for the full six months, I'd enter the main game market with one 155-158q product that sold for $300 on The Island and becomes hard to move at $50 no matter where you relocate. There really aren't a lot of options or opportunities for ancillary businesses.
  23. Your opponents started with ~75% and ~2% energy in those fights.
  24. The only real reason I would believe otherwise is this dude: https://mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilepublic.php?FID=248377 Most Injuries Name - Fights - Total Injuries - KO Losses 14. Brock Rumlow (37) - 52 - 614 days (11.81 per fight) - 0
  25. Some guys just don't get KO'd... or ever rocked. I've also seen guys with "granite chin" still showing in the TOTT with 12 KOs. Even if the formerly granite chin is gone, it seems like it'll still show on the tape.
