  1. It raises "conditioning". The reason you want to max this first is that it allows you to train for longer without losing too much energy, essentially making your training more effective. It also carries the additional benefit of your fighter gassing out much less easily in fights.
  2. You could start with the official guide: http://www.mmatycoon.info/index.php?title=Introduction_to_companies If you'd like to go beyond that, you would be better off getting yourself a mentor who can teach you about companies and maybe hook you up with some contacts. Joining an alliance can also have a positive effect in that it exposes you and your company to a wider network. Doing laundry is great for a start. Just keep in mind that if you're starting a nutrition company, it'll take time and millions of tycoon dollars until you can brew up the really crazy stuff. A clothing company is more straight forward, especially if you're into making your own designs. I have no personal experience with running an org or gym, but I guess that could be something to explore and if you have enough spare time to invest could probably be very lucrative.
  3. Impressive. Are these all 16 year old groomed fighters then? Thank you Tommy Grunge for taking me back to the good old days...!
  4. Thanks for your patronage, mate. I sent out an offer to Aleks. Great looking kid, best of luck with the title defense! Thank you! I re-ordered some of the more popular designs.
  5. Hi all, I am happy to announce that Shinobi Clothing Japan has officially opened their doors! We're looking to expand on the existing offers in the market and keep evolving our practical designs for warriors (or those who'd like to look like one)! Shinobi is also 1. happy to sponsor your promising fighters, 2. open to merch partnerships and 3. last but not least offers prompt and uncomplicated laundry services at the going standard rate! Have a look if you take a liking to our initial designs and make sure to leave your feedback in this here thread, if you'd like to see a specific item or design. Cheers!
  6. Jobs are often advertised in the "Other Companies" forum: http://www.mmatycoon.com/forums/index.php?showforum=22 Likewise, this is where a lot of people offer their services. I'd like to point out that some of the information on the original post of this thread is outdated. For example the Men of Mayhem QFC are closed. Maybe a moderator or the OP could update some of that info,
  7. The Island is its own, completely seperate eco system: http://www.mmatycoon.info/index.php?title=The_Island You can create a fighter(s) there once a new season starts, but your plan that you formulated in the original post won't work for the island.
  8. That's not a problem at all. If you go to "Highstreet" and have a look through the orgs, you can see their divisions. You'll see that there are plenty of orgs that have dozens of fighters in each weight class. Getting into a high level org with completely new fighters, without the right connections, might be another matter. But finding orgs, contracts and fights in general should never be an issue. If you're really paranoid about it you can always go to the really big markets (i.e. NY, LV (I see you're based in LV anyway)), but even in smaller cities like Helsinki, I've never had trouble finding orgs and fights.
  9. Well it's still a tycoon game in that it offers the sanbox to play in, which you say you do. Manage orgs, supply infrastructure to fighters via jets, nutrition, gyms and clothes, etc. And here the money is also important outside of the fighter training itself, because fighters rely on that infrastrucutre, especially high level ones that need to fly around a lot, depend on high quality supplements, etc. I guess your point is more that the work in those areas isn't rewarded or recognised correctly in some sort of rankings. But since the data is all there, I think that should be possible to display, if they wanted to. Maybe make a petition for it.
  10. You can get that information from the "Fight Engine Changes" thread from July 2015: http://www.mmatycoon.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=50571 14th reply from the top: "Posted 13 July 2015 - 04:14 PM poraan, on 13 Jul 2015 - 5:09 PM, said: that's transitions. "
  11. I am fine with the thread either way. Like I said, I am not taking sides, and nobody can bully me into doing it. Read what I wrote again, I want 3 things, for the stability of the game and the community I am a part of: - the phishing mails to be investigated and cleared up -proper punishment discussed with Mike (why do you need smear campaigns? I am genuinely asking) -people stop trying to pull the rest of LOD into something that have nothing to do with the entire thing doesn't sound ultra unreasonable to me. Everything else is just unnecessary noise to feed the trolls.
  12. Mentor received his punishment. Do you disagree with the punishment? If yes, why don't you take it up with Mike? If not, what further purpose do the threads serve?
  13. You read where I said that I am not choosing either side, yes?
  14. Do me a favour, and read the post again. Try to understand what the words actually mean. I am saying, please don't send mails to everyone who is not Mentor trying to force them to choose sides. I am further saying, please run this entire case through Mike, instead of the forums. And I am finally saying, please lock this thread.
  15. I have read every single post here, but you have clearly not read and/or understood my post.
  16. As a member of LOD I can appreciate this message. The problem with this entire topic is that it seems to interest a very specific group of players, at least in its current forum based iteration. To me as a new player, it looks like a small handful of old vets are now trying to figure out how to police "their own game" that they're extremely attached to. As a new player I have to go with what Mike says is just. He said that he investigated the case for days and all the evidence is on the table. So how can anybody say that additional punishment is needed? If it should indeed be needed, shouldn't it again be Mike who hands it out? Why can those concerned not go through this case with Mike directly instead of opting to smear the entire ugly thing over the forums, my game inbox and my alliance chat? Are you trying to fix a problem or are you trying to drive new players like me away from the game? Because I can tell you, to a new player like me, it currently feels a lot like the latter. I am a grown up man with children and I am looking for a fun time to relax. Not - yet again - another game that's dominated by a vocal minority that is only looking and screaming for blood. The only thing that really, really bothers me personally is the phishing mail accusation. The phishing mail incidence, if true, carries implications that go far beyond what could be considered cheating in a computer game. And I am very surprised that this single element has not been targeted and/or discussed by Mike. All the other accusations and everything that Mentor has been standing trial for here, has not impacted me as a player at all. I do not wish to take sides here; I have no interest in joining what looks like a forum troll lynch mob, nor do I wish to defend somebody I barely know and have no further insight in. This being said, the only facts that I can list as a new member of LOD is that Mentor has been extremely helpful in supplying new players with hints, tips, guides and getting people started. Not once have I personally received a request by him that could have been considered shady, in the slightest. Those are the only facts that are actually tangible to me. LOD is an alliance. We are more people than just the man who created it. I have personally helped newer people in there and have created ties within the alliance that have absolutely nothing to do with Mentor. By sabotaging the entire construct now, instead of being constructive, those of you who call yourselves the defenders of the integrity of this game, are hurting a lot of new and inexperienced managers. Instead of taking the high road (i.e. discussing everything else with Mike) you are sinking to the very level you are claiming to attack and you yourself are hurting the game or at least individual players more than you can imagine. I would very much appreciate it, if those of you who are opposed to Mentor could at least keep my inbox and our alliance chats clean. You are not helping, you are a part of the problem. Don't suck me in to your little private war, trying to force me to choose sides. That's what bullies do. Nobody likes bullies. In the end, the entire topic has only done one thing for me. It took a lot of fun away from the game and it heavily tarnished the image I had of this game and its community as a whole. I can't even believe that all of these forum posts about the same topic are still open. They should have been locked days ago.
  17. I've had them included in the slider settings from the bottom a couple of times, but in the fights I've never seen the fighter actually use any strikes. I guess they were too busy defending/trying to improve position or whatever. I'd like to think that an elite fighter could throw a KO kick, like Anderson Silva once did. Should be one in a million though, realistically. I don't think they work effectively in the current engine.
  18. I was playing football managers, but had already been an avid martial arts fan. So out of curiosity I googled if something such as an mma manager would exist...
  19. This is something I've always wondered about as well. It's especially disheartening when one of your fighters had the very definition of a legendary fight, but then the org owner doesn't hand out any awards at all for the event. I've also grown mildly suspicious towards these awards when I saw that some org owners hand these out to their own fighters that fight in their own org.

    Strenght

While I agree with this from the real life angle, it would also definitely render the escape skill useless. Because then you would want to have a high transition skill to get on top to escape instead. Might as well get rid of the escape skill then... And people already seem to prefer to have high transition anyway...

    Reach

Reach already exists in the game and is determined by the height of your fighter. It does play a role in the standup and can show up in the text, too. I've seen it several times. The only thing that doesn't exist is variable reach for fighters with the same height, if that's what you want. But you can already play with the reach by making your fighter taller or shorter for his weight class.
  23. Cheers! It's actually very interesting that so many of the 3 skills categories factor in to certain aspects of combat that aren't necessarily disclosed. It adds a lot of mystery and mystique to successful fighting/fighters.
  24. You could show the fights with the highest hype and also title fights.
  25. Definitely. A well placed and powerful liver kick or hook should have the potential to finish any fight, just like in real life.
