  1. Baseball does not have parity. The nature of the game is that the best team does not always win, sure. But right now, before spring training has even started, 10 clubs are already eliminated from the postseason due to the talent disparity. 4 or 5 clubs, you can already pencil into the playoffs. I know a hard cap will never happen. But the game needs one.
  2. I've never done 100% agg in the clinch either. Guess I feel it opens you up too much. I might revisit this strategy with some of my fighters, but I've largely been successful in clinch-dominant fights.
  3. I have 12 custom avatars that I have won over the years and I don't have any use for them. Is there a way to gift them to another user?
  4. Baseball can say they have parity all they want, but the Dodgers already had the best roster in baseball and just added two more stars. They need a hard cap, but it will never happen.
  5. Need a vendor for my gym. Anyone interested, please let me know.
  6. Desert Fitness & Training (4571) Check us out in Las Vegas. Started with 7 Elite coaches and a balanced schedule. Will add more once we have the numbers to support it. Have several high-level fighters in the gym for sparring. Looking to add more. Gym will always be clean, have new equipment, and classes will always be open with low numbers. Right now, we're at $725/week, which is less than you'd expect to pay for elite coaching and great sparring. Price will eventually go up, but I want to reward those that are in early with some discounted training. Still shopping for a vending partner. People have been slow to get back to me. If you have some connections in the supplements world, and that company has 160 products and an empty slot for a gym, hook me up.
  7. This is certainly the biggest change from back when I played previously. Thanks for the info.
  8. Most of you will not recognize me, I guess, but I did run a successful clothing company, gym, and org back in the day. I'm not sure how long it's been (probably 2-3 years), but I decided to join again and see if I can recapture some of my lost glory - what little there was. Not sure how much has changed, but I hope to pick back up fairly quickly. Would be good to hear from some of my former opponents, clients, and org-mates, if you're still around.
  9. Thank you all for joining. For some reason, the messages I'm typing into the chatbox and gym messages are not showing up, so I'm posting it here on the forums. I will continue to hire more coaches each week as the gym continues to grow. I am bringing on another double-elite coach to handle striking defense, since those classes are already overcrowded, and another elite conditioning coach for general classes. I may add other coaches as well. If not this week, then next. I will make these hires after Thursday so I don't get hit with double wages. Even if the gym gets crowded, I will make sure that the classes don't, by keep adding coaches, and also establishing sparring sessions. I would like you all to try and honor the following system, where more advanced fighters can benefit from high-level sparring, and lower-level fighters can benefit from sparring with others like them, while not diluting the sparring for the higher-level fighters. Don't be "THAT guy", who ruins it for everyone else. "THAT guy", will be kicked out of the gym if he can't comply. No matter your fighter's skill levels, there are at least 3 sparring sessions set up each week for him to spar each discipline. Make sure to click the "vending" checkbox for your training. I just partnered with a nutrition company, and will have 155Q energy boost products in there 3 days from now. I was looking for someone with 160Q, but they're all committed to other gyms. This company promises to have 160Q in the near future. In the meantime, get the most out of your training by picking up something from the vending machine. I value your feedback. Please feel free to mail me with questions, concerns, and suggestions.
  10. Seeing only 1 public gym open, and it being majorly overcrowded, a new gym (Island Warriors) has been opened. 7 Elite coaches have been hired, and more will be added as the gym starts to fill up. Granted, the $1000 per week is more more than the other Hilo gym, but you will not be sharing your training sessions with 10-15 other fighters, and your fighters might actually learn something. A sparring schedule will soon follow, but first, we need gym members.
  11. But they profit too. I don't see any gym wouldn't do it. It's not a huge sum of money, especially in small gyms, but it's something.
  12. Have not read this entire thread, but thought I should mention that twice I have had a fighter with 12+ wrestling, 13 takedown defense, and very good (at least double-digit) across-the board physicals get taken down immediately by a fighter with 1 wrestling even though I set the opponent tactics to look for the shoot takedown 100%. I would expect that my guy would be standing there with his palm on the guy's forehead holding him off from taking me down if that was the case. To get taken down immediately and quickly subbed does not make a whole lot of sense to me. A superior wrestler, with good physical skills, getting manhandled by a weaker grappler when you know it's coming? Not saying my guy should be completely immune from being taken down in this situation, but it sure as hell should not be a cakewalk for the opponent.
  13. Highland Nutrition (The Island) is looking for gym partners. I have already PMd everyone, but not received responses. I thought I would try here. Maybe you have a fighter in one of those gyms with an empty vending machine, and could talk your gym owner into talking to me? Thanks.
  14. Free Products for All Highland Challengers Fighters (Jun 22, 2015) If you are a Highland Challengers Fighter and buy any of the products from Highland Nutrition, Highland Challengers will reimburse you the cost of the sale. After making a purchase, PM me and I will offer your fighter a new contract with the signing bonus paying for the supplements. Those who already needed a contract renewal from HC, will get extra money to factor in the supplement reimbursement on top of their expanded HC contract. Those looking to join Highland Challengers, can receive the same reimbursement after you sign a Highland Challengers contract. Just another way The Highland Network is reinvesting the money back into our fighters. The more products we can sell, the faster we can develop the next products, which will be superior to what is already available on The Island.
  15. We currently have a 78% rating. Let me say this: Before you rate us, if you have any problems, issues, concerns or complaints, please let us know so that we can address them. If you don't let us know anything is not to your liking, how can we ever fix it? If after you voice your concerns, we do not address them, then please, go right ahead and rate us poorly.
  16. Plenty of spaces still available. Right now, many sessions with Elite coaches are still not filled.
  17. Anyone needing Elite training should think about joining my new gym. Right now, many of the coaching sessions, all manned by Elite trainers, are empty. We all know that individual training sessions give you better training than sharing that trainer with multiple fighters. Consider joining Titans Elite Academy, in Los Angeles. Cost is $925/week, the equipment is brand new, the cleanliness is Pristine, both where they will stay. As more people join, I will add additional coaches to keep the ratios beneficial for great training.
  18. I just started a new Bookmaker (The Highland Book, in London) I tried setting up odds for the first in-game event (Today), and it will not let me change the odds. I have it set to American odds, but everything is still in decimals, and all of the fights are preset to 2.00 odds on both fighters. When I go to change this number, nothing changes, and if I hit the backspace button on my keyboard, the page disappears and loads another. It also keeps defaulting to 7% instead of what I have previously entered. Can someone tell me if there is a bug, or something else I need to do? I want to be able to change the odds, and I want to view them in the American form. Thanks.
  19. I currently have more Elite coaches than members of the gym. Almost guaranteed individual coaching right now. But we need more people to get sparring up and running. A partnership was just signed with a nutrition company, just need a couple of days to get the first shipment in. Come be a part of something special. A place where champions train. *Or will, anyway.
  20. Just took control of a gym in LA. 9 Elite coaches, and plenty of open spots. $925 per week All the major skill training areas covered (Only ones not being service by Elite coaches are G&P and Clinchwork - Once I get enough people to sign up, I will hire additional coaches to cover those as well, and add fitness coaches - Can't have it all before a couple of checks are cashed) Titans Elite Academy (ID 3400)
  21. Matt Couture didn't get it done today, but his heavy hands still made LHW pay a price with 7 days of injury damage, compared to my 8 in what looked like a lopsided fight. Just shows that Matt was maybe just one or two more bombs away from another big upset. Back to the gym he'll go, where he hopes to build on his recent success and earn another title shot down the line.
