  1. The Rogan Boards use a system like that. A window even pops up to allow you to leave a comment when you neg or up vote someone. Then anyone can click on someone's page and see all the votes and comments. That place is still a wretched hive of scum and villainy. It didn't make all that much a difference unless you count people who after one neg decided to get revenge and stalk the one who gave it with more negs. All in all I have negged, and I still would. When i do I have a reason other than not liking someone. It means I think they posted some dumb shit. Does anyone even look at manager forum ratings? Quit getting your panties in a twist. It has no meaning or effect at all on anything. I sure don't read an opinion then think, "Maybe I should look at his forum rating and see if that opinion is valid". I can form my own opinion without relying on a stupid rating system. Do what you want, but it sure isn't going to change anything. Trolls will still troll. Hell, if it makes you leave a comment when you neg I suppose at least others can see you are a troll.
  2. New Org Belt We now officially have a new design for our championship belts. The 1st frame is for our belt, and the entire animation is the new org icon. Sorry it took me so long to get a design made. I tried to make one for GBK's belt contest and realized I was making one for someone else without ever having made one for me. I guess it was just the kick in the pants I needed. I hope you guys enjoy the design. If nothing else it has to be better than the generic blank one we were using. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/company/thumbnail/1453010234Budo-Rei-Belt.gif BRFC HoF We have technically had enough events to add 2 names to the Hall of Fame. As a young org that may be a bit early, so I plan to wait until our 30th event. At that time it will be up to you guys to pick our 1st three inductees. There are some good names in the mix. I don't want to name names and spoil the nominations/votes, but you can tell from their records who might be a great fit as some are 6-0 in BRFC. There was also the recent Middleweight Grand Prix which just came to a conclusion, and different org record holders can be found here. It will take 2 nominations to be in the final poll, so if you think your guy should be in at least one other must agree with you. You may toss out some names in this thread now if you like, but I will not solidify the final poll until our 30th event. Middleweight Grand Prix http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1451791184Poster%20Temp.jpg I plan to run these more frequently as they are short and fun. This was our 1st Grand Prix. Next will be held at Lightweight. Next time we hold one at Middleweight you will not be able to call yourself the champion unless you can manage to beat the man of the hour at the end. That man is Eric Staal. It was a close fight with Valdez getting the best of Staal in the 1st round out boxing him and keeping great distance. That aggression may have worked in the 1st, but with 10 minute rounds Staal was able to bide his time and make it count in the beginning of round 2. Valdez came out swinging, but Staal landed a fantastic head kick on his way in knocking him out cold. In this fight patience and a more diverse game plan was the deciding factor. As a result, Staal now holds our title until someone else earns the right to try and take it. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/17/17w6.jpg New Middleweight Champion Staal may be the new Middleweight Grand Prix Champion, but that title is held at 205. The Middleweight division also got a new champion this weekend. Chris Kennedy and Isi Nanuq engaged in a 5 round war that went back and forth more than a member of congress trying to get re-elected. Nanuq took Kennedy off his feet early in the 1st and tried to work the ground and pound. Kennedy showed great defense and position control, but Nanuq showed the only offense here. After a brief stand-up both fighters worked the strikes. Kennedy missed some kicks but still landed some solid counter punches while Isi showed remarkable accuracy working his combinations. With almost 2 minute remaining Nanuq took Kennedy down again into half guard. In such a dangerous position Kennedy was able to avoid too much damage before the round ended. The round clearly went to Nanuq if we scored rounds in this org. Round two started out much the same with Nanuq easily taking the fight to the ground. The difference here was Kennedy's ability to sweep Nanuq and maintain the top position. Isi still showed the only actual offense on the ground with multiple submission attempts until the ref stood them back up with one and a half minutes remaining. This is where Kennedy started attacking low. First with a leg kick and then a punch to the body followed by a kidney shot. Nanuq came back with a few well placed shots, but the striking easily went to Kennedy until the round came to a close. Round 3 was much like round 1. Isi took Kennedy down with ease. After a brief ref stand-up he showed some great defensive boxing then took Kennedy right back down again. Nanuq did exactly what was needed to regain control. I round 4 Kennedy opened up with a knee to the jewels. The pause in the action shifted the momentum, and both fighters found it hard to land their shots. Kennedy finally managed to hit 2 kicks to the body but got cocky and missed with a leg kick which Nanuq countered with a powerful double leg into side control. Kennedy then countered a strike to regain half guard and hold on until the ref could separate them again. Nanuq picked up some aggression and began attacking relentlessly though Kennedy was able to dodge and keep himself out of danger. With a minute left Nanuq tossed Kennedy into the ropes with a powerful uppercut using the momentum to take him down, but Kennedy popped back up immediately and sensing the end of the round cut loose with a nice kick to the legs. Nanuq dove in to take him down again, but after a struggle had to let it go. Kennedy began chopping away like a lmberjack at those legs. When Isi struck back Chris countered with a hook to the jaw. Nanuq then closed the round with two leg kicks. As round 1 started both fighters took time to feel each other out pawing and not connecting with anything serious. Kennedy started to go low and find some success, but Nanuq found an opening and took him down. Isi knew he possibly was on the losing end of a close fight and tried to make sure the last thing the judges saw was him on top or possibly a submission. After some ground and pound he went for an Americana. Working for a better position he then transitioned into an arm triangle. By this point I had no idea who was ahead. Both fighters were slowing down, but Isi did land a solid shot. Unfortunately the ref got overzealous and again stood the fighters up just before the bell. Kennedy had just enough time for a leg kick followed by a body shot by Nanuq. A split decision either way would not have been surprising, but for the night all 3 judges went for Kennedy. Nightly Awards Fight of the Night: Isi Nanuq vs Chris Kennedy These guys could fight 10 times and get 10 different results. It was an exciting and close fight. KO of the Night: Eric Staal In spite of losing the 1st round he summoned great patience and heart to land that knockout blow and earn his title. Submission of the Night: Vito Belto Belto found striking success early with two 1st round knockdowns, but when he ended up on his back Guillermo rained down punches with deadly accuracy. The fight could have been ended, but Belto dug deep and managed to choke Guillermo out with a triangle.
  3. Sad news. I got in the mood to do an animated belt for my org, and it turns out animations do not work on belts. Works on everything else, but the belt only shows the 1st frame. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/company/thumbnail/1453010234Budo-Rei-Belt.gif
  4. Exactly what I was thinking. I also hate those pencil thin drawn on eyebrows.
  5. I don't care either way. Seems like more important things out there, but if that is what people want it has no effect on me.
  6. Oh, yes. If I must I can limit it to the belt, but how could you pass on such cuteness.

  8. Why exactly would ISIS give a rat's ass about Kennedy?
  9. I'll give it a try this weekend. It will be good practice for making my own belt which I have been needing to do for a while.
  10. Buzz sends a message to anyone you mention in the post on their fighter/manager page. You are more likely to get a response using that. Only people who actively seek out the smack threads will notice anything you put there.
  11. The submission in the game was a joke added because of the parody video. That is where the game submission came from. As for submission text it is just that. Random text. It doesn't take extra skill to land a particular submission. It is random luck of the draw. What matters to me is pulling of any submission on someone you shouldn't be able to pull it off against or last second in a fight you were dominated in like Sonnen vs Silva. The type of submission is far less important than that.
  12. I was going to get into specific takedowns that use little to no power, but I decided it would take too long to type up. Instead, think of the power slider in this game as trying to pick someone up to slam them compared to simply being satisfied getting their butt on the ground. Shooting from outside in the center of the cage compared to running them up against the cage and grinding them down in the hopes you might scoop them up. A suplex or Cormier's famous single leg tossing them over his head compared to GSP driving in and straight to guard.
  13. When the gaps at the bottom are similar to the gaps up top then you can properly tweak that stuff so making it fair on one end doesn't suddenly throw the other end all out of wack.
  14. That is why I posted a year ago that we should simply adjust skill disparities. Right now the gap between feeble and abysmal are night and day while sensational to elite is hardly noticeable. Increase the gap a bit up top and lower it a bit down low, and this game will be much easier to balance.
  15. This is true. I lost count of how many times I had to be tested back then, because so many others were doing it.
  16. I agree with everything you mentioned here.
  17. I don't see how anyone could give Condit vs Lawler controversy of the year for 2015. The fight happened in 2016.
  18. Honestly, it is a tough vote. The top 2 guys are rightfully in the lead.
