  1. Thanks man! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I can't discount "The Crowntaker." When they're ready to retire you should make them fight each other for their final fight I hope the B.S. I made up about the "old doorman" was okay. I've been racking my brain trying to figure out why you nicknamed him that.
  2. There's been a lot of good information that came from this thread. I'm wondering if it might be more useful to new players pinned in the Noob help thread? I learned a lot from this thread and It seems like some of the more seasoned managers did as well. Thanks for everyone who's joined in the discussion.
  3. I was away for about 3 days and came back to see that my nutrition company hype had been cut in half. I was at the #2 spot with over 50% hype and then I came back to find that I was in the #12 spot with only about 25% hype. What would cause my hype to degrade so rapidly? Since then I've had a very tough time climbing back up the ranks. I've been at it for a couple days and have only managed to get back to the #9 spot. I've got some big $ short term contracts, I have a lot of top fighters signed to good contracts and sales are great. A lot of my sponsored fighters are buying my products. In addition to that I've sponsored over 50 fighters in the last two days but, the offers aren't as good as what I've done in the past. I suppose my question is this: Why did I lose so much hype? Why am I struggling to get back up to the top 3?
  4. http://i.imgur.com/Hxc4hHb.png Live from Montreal on September 18th, 2015 Legacy! 12 The Montreal Sports Complex Prepared by Boom Stick Welcome back to another exciting edition of Legacy! I’d be lying if I said last weekend was a stunning success. It would appear that a lot of MMA fans are too pansy to witness two straight days of broken bones, hematomas and, bruised egos. I guess that’s why they’re spectators instead of participants. Nevertheless, The double feature was a great one and it allowed many of our fighters to gain some much needed street cred that will serve them well in the future. It’s interesting to note that every single fight was ended by (T)KO or decision. That’s right, not one single submission which is rather amazing. Legacy! showcases some excellent submission specialists but, none of them were able to finish. Last weekend’s events were a farewell to our former home at the Expo. We’re sad to see her go but, Legacy! will return there occasionally if need be. We are proud to announce that fights will now take place in front of twice as many fans at our new base of operations, the Montreal Sports Complex! There were many exciting fights but, MVP of the weekend goes to manager Mike Jursllla, He had 3 fights in Legacy! on the same day and won all 3 of them with ease. Louie has a great show lined up for you guys this Saturday and there will be some excellent match ups on this card. The main event will feature our first ever 170 lbs title as the 87th ranked welterweight Charles Bronson takes on a Polish Eagle Nest hall of famer and 61st ranked welterweight De Bruyne. That match will surely be a battle to the death and neither fighter will leave the ring unscathed. The Co-Main will be a great one as well. Two fighters who formerly contended for the 205 lbs title return to switch their focuses to one another. I tend to be a bit long winded so I’ll stop there. Let’s get on with the action! Main event - 155 lbs title fight Charles Bronson vs. De Bruyne The main event on this card is guaranteed to be an entertaining fight as the immensely popular Charles Bronson takes on the undefeated newcomer De Bruyne. Bronson faced a tough match against Lorne Malvo in his debut and lost after receiving some nasty blows to the head. Since then he has overcome numerous difficulties and faced the top competitors in his weight class. Bronson sought to test himself against Lorne Malvo but, he has since become a benchmark for other fighters himself. Both Bronson and De Bruyne have faced some top notch competition and left rather unscathed. Combined these two fighters have a combined record of 22-1 and De Bruyne will look to improve his impressive 12-0 record at Bronson’s expense. De Bruyne was the smartest kid in most of his classes in Bridgetown, Barbados. He studied math heavily and was groomed to join his father trading stocks at the local exchange, acquiring the name “The Brain.” De Bruyne had other plans though. He grew up across the street from a football field and would often play with the local boys in his off time. Scuffles occurred and It didn’t take long for him to realize his innate athleticism and fighting ability. He sought to improve his skills and began practicing MMA at a local gym. When he turned 18 De Bruyne knew what he wanted to do with his life. He caught word that NEX would be hosting their warzone tournament and he quickly decided that he wanted in on the action. He fought his way to the finals with ease and gathered up 4 TKO’s in a row. Although he was unable to TKO Brandon Rush in the finals, his work ethic shined through and he earned the distinction of winning the fight via unanimous decision and captured the coveted 170 lbs belt. De Bruyne stayed loyal to NEX and defended his belt 7 times before the org closed it’s doors. With 8 TKO’s, 1 KO and, 3 decision victories De Bruyne might not be the hardest hitter but, he has an excellent chin on him and makes up for his lack of power by outworking anyone in the opposite corner. Bronson has a very similar record and with 7 TKO’s, 1 KO and, 2 decision wins. He isn’t the most powerful fighter either and It should come as little surprise that Bronson is a remarkable athlete as well. These two are nearly identical in height and weight, Bronson will weigh 1 more pound at 162 and De Bruyne will stand 1 cm taller at 175 cms. De Bruyne has had one more fight than Bronson and a slightly tougher schedule. Bruyne’s first 4 matches were against undefeated fighters and his opponents produced a combined record of 69-14 before facing off against him. That doesn’t mean Bronson hasn’t had a tough schedule as well, he’s faced 6 undefeated fighters and his opponents posted a combined record of 60-15. These two are so evenly matched that the outcome of this one will be hard to gauge. They both have excellent chins and this fight will likely go the distance. With that said, Bronson will hold a slight boxing advantage while De Bruyne will have a slight MT advantage. These two edges will even out though and it will be up to the fighters to use their strengths to devastating effect. The funny thing is, On average Bronson is the more accurate kicker whilst De Bruyne is more accurate at striking. Both of these men are brown belts but, De Bruyne is the more accomplished grappler and will have a slight wrestling advantage. He could shoot in for a takedown and look to ground and pound Bronson but, this will be no small feat. Bronson is very difficult to takedown and he can transition rather well. There’s no telling what will happen with this fight and setting spoiler alerts is advised! Co-Main event - 205 lbs division Edinger Nucleus vs. Ravi Shankoli Next up on the main card we have two fighters who share a common hatred for Patrick Brody. Edinger Nucleus took on Brody most recently in Legacy! 8 as he vied for the 265 lbs title. The match was a very close one and at the end of 5 the judges scored the contest 48-47. Edinger managed to cut Brody early in the first round but, failed to capitalize on the injury. Meanwhile Brody used his slight MT advantage to devastating effect in the clinch. Nucleus knew that knocking out Brody would be a daunting task and decided instead to fight for a decision win with clean and accurate jabbing. A majority of this fight was spent in the clinch where both fighters thought they had a clear advantage. Brody was much more aggressive and managed to land more than twice as many blows as Nucleus. It was all tied up coming into the 5th round and both fighters were beaten, bruised and dazed. Long hours spent in the gym training conditioning was paying off for both fighters but, it became apparent that Nucleus was getting exhausted. Brody thoroughly outworked him in the end and managed to land a glancing elbow that swung the momentum in his favor. At the end of 5 a bloody Brody walked away with his 265 lbs title belt securely wrapped around his waist. Ravi Shankoli fought Brody first in Legacy! 6 to a very similar result that ended in a 50-45 decision. Ravi however was getting the better of the ‘clinch game’ although both fighters posted similar results. If Shankoli had kept the fight there he might have edged ahead on the scorecards but, his heart was in striking at a distance. Unfortunately for him Brody felt the same way and managed to out-aggres him by a vast margin. Shankoli was landing strikes more accurately but, he couldn’t compete with the pace that Brody had set. Nevertheless Brody was getting frustrated in the 3rd round and began wondering if he would ever be able to KO the nimble Shankoli. He began holding a grudge and the enmity he felt towards Ravi became apparent when he kicked him square in the ‘pills.’ This earned both fighters a hard earned respite although it might have cost Ravi the ability to have children in the future. When the respite ended the normally zen Ravi was visibly upset, Brody didn’t offer an apology and Ravi wouldn’t have accepted it if he did. He had vengeance in mind and two minutes later he kicked Brody square in the ‘goodies’ and earned himself a nice respite for his effort. Ravi was now smiling and it was Brody who was upset. As a result he laid down an unholy beatdown that secured him the last two rounds with ease. Ravi and Nucleus stack up rather well, not only are they both in possession of excellent chins they posses great power behind their punches. Ravi has been cleanly KO’d before but, that was at the hands of Stu Grimson who possesses unnatural power. He will make up for this slight fault with a 5 fight experience advantage over Nucleus. Ravi will also have dominance of the stand up game with his sensational boxing. Nucleus will combat this with a few advantages of his own, Muay Thai and a brown belt in BJJ. As far as strategy goes, Nucleus might stand toe to toe for a time but, he knows that won’t be sustainable for fifteen minutes. Instead he might clinch up to look to pull guard, sweep and, work his way into mount where he can ground and pound his way to a TKO. The clinch will be daunting and Edinger won’t want to spend much time there. Ravi has every strike in the book at his disposal and can utilize them very effectively in the clinch. With all that said, these two are strikers at heart and there is no doubt that whoever can strike and defend more effectively will be the victor in this fight. 265 lbs division Taw DawTang vs. George Patton Taw DawTang returns to Legacy! to take on the newcomer George Patton. The only thing these two have in common is their height and superb wrestling and it will be interesting to see what that translates to after the opening bell. The newly freed Taw DawTang faced a tough battle in his Legacy! debut against Anton Pavlovich. After landing numerous unanswered strikes and slipping into mount, it seemed as though DawTang had the match in the bag. When the bell rang for the second round DawTang was eager for a knockout and began looking to throw a heavy blow. Pavlovich had wisened up though and sought to dodge strikes more actively as well as landing some counter punches of his own. It wasn’t long before DawTang walked straight into a crisp right hand that sent him plummeting to the canvas. Pavlovich wanted to put this one away standing he and waved his unsteady opponent back to his feet. DawTang was in trouble but, was saved by the bell just short of being KO’d. The brief respite wasn’t enough and DawTang was still hurt when the 3rd round began. He’s got a big heart in his big chest though and he came out swinging like a madman. Pavlovich played in right and baited DawTang into walking into another huge right hand, This time he followed DawTang to the canvas and pounded a quick TKO out of the dazed DawTang. For the first time in his life, DawTang was TKO’d and he has stated that it won’t happen again if there’s anything he can do about it. We’ll see if those words ring true this Saturday as he takes on another accomplished KO artist. “General” George S. Patton is a rough and tough man who has lacked for little in his life. He’s the type of guy who is good at whatever he puts his mind to. At only 24 years old he has racked up honors in track and field, sharpshooting, fencing, broadswords, polo, commanding armies, the pentathlon, running, riding and even poetry. It’s been reported that Patton might have won the olympics for sharpshooting with a pistol but, instead opted to use a .38 calibre instead of the standard .22. He maintains that the judges didn’t score one of his shots because it passed so cleanly through a previous bullseye shot that the target paper was undisturbed. There is no doubt that Patton is a competitor at whatever he chooses to do and recently he has chosen to face his foes directly and step into the world of MMA. He suffered some KO’s early in his career but, his power is overwhelming and he has been on a rampage recently with 8 straight wins. He’ll be looking to take the next step forward on the path to 10 wins this Saturday. With all of the stand up advantages in Patton’s corner and all the grappling advantages in DawTang’s corner this one will be easy to call. DawTang will be forced to take this fight to the ground if he wants to secure a win. This task won’t be easy, Patton has never been taken down and his opponents usually only get 1 attempt. DawTang will have to make the most of that first takedown attempt because, a second could end his night. Patton loves to strike and he will surely look to clinch up and take advantage of his edge in MT. DawTang might see this as an opportunity to get the fight to the ground but, clinching with Patton could quickly end this fight prematurely. If he finds himself there he’ll be forced to contend with Patton’s dangerous knees and elbows. These two know their assignments all too well and whoever executes more effectively will have his hand raised. The question is who? 170 lbs division Randall Wickam vs. George Palmer Randall “Ray-Ray” Wickam makes his way on to the main card to take on the “Old Doorman” George Palmer. Randall Wickam has had great career but, he has never been in the limelight. He has been consistently undervalued and underrated by organizations and fellow fighters. Every time he has had something good going for him an unfortunate loss has sent him back to square one. He has moved to Legacy! with hopes of building a name for himself and after TKOing Adryan Pruess in the first round of his debut it’s become apparent that this young man has bright things in store for his future. He will look to improve upon his 9-3 record Saturday. George Palmer lies on the other end of the spectrum. As far as MMA goes he’s a loyal and seasoned veteran. He’s known as the “Old Doorman” because, he has held the door to retirement open for so many of his opponents. In fact, 7 of his first 8 opponents have been sent into an early retirement with the help of George. He spent 4 years of his life with the Death Squad and suffered some considerable brain damage in that time span. Now 31 years old, George has led a successful career that has earned him 15 wins and 8 losses with 11 of those wins coming via submission. He might be aging but, George wants to make waves before he shuts the door on his own career. He has recently moved to Montreal and signed with Legacy! in hopes of reliving faded glory days and leaving a Legacy that him and his brother Santiago can be proud of. They want to ensure that future generations remember the name Palmer as well as the men who held that distinction. At 2-1 in Legacy! Palmer has certainly lived up to his reputation and it’s obvious how intent he is about going out with a bang. With 2 hours 50 minutes and 16 seconds of his life spent in the ring, Palmer will hold a significant experience advantage over Wickam who clocked in at just 1 hour 29 minutes and 6 seconds. So who's the faster finisher? That distinction belongs to Palmer although these two fighters have posted nearly identical averages. Wickam with an average of 7 minutes and 26 seconds compared to Palmer’s 7 minutes and 24 seconds. If bets were open, the 2nd round would be a sure deal. Neither of these fighters are very adept in the standup game. Randall will have a large boxing advantage while Palmer will have a significant MT advantage. In a strange turn of events the GNP wrestler, Randall Wickam will instead find himself with superior BJJ; The submission specialist George Palmer will have the distinction of being the better wrestler. This will force Wickam to make a tough choice. Will he attempt to remain standing and attempt to get a knockout or shoot for the takedown? If he stays standing he might be able to knock Palmer out cold but, if he doesn’t do it quickly Palmer will score a takedown and hold the dominant top position. Wickam knows that he needs to hold the top if he wants to ground and pound his way to a win. If he can work his way into mount the fight will be all over for Palmer. Likewise for Palmer, if he holds the top he’s almost guaranteed a victory. As far as transitions go, these two are as equal as it gets. They both hold a 48% success rate and I doubt either fighter will allow the other to improve position much. It looks as though this fight could very well be won on the ground and with two evenly matched grapplers it will be a very interesting struggle to see who come out on top. 265 lbs division Kyz Metamoris vs. Travis Browne Accomplished BJJ black belt Kyz Metamoris will make his debut against the high flying KO artist Travis Browne in the final fight on the main card… or it’s the first fight if you’re watching it live… but, you aren’t. You’re reading this preview when you could have bought imaginary tickets to this imaginary event hosted by our imaginary organization. Enough with the semantics though, let’s get on with the preview. Kyz Metamoris was born and raised on a small island in Micronesia. With neighboring tribes encroaching upon his homeland a war became inevitable. Kyz was raised to lead troops in battle and his father drilled him endlessly in any form of combat that seemed appropriate. From an early age, Kyz learned how to fire weapons, throw spears, fight hand to hand and, most importantly he was taught how to grapple effectively. The day finally came and Kyz’s smaller island of (unpronounceable name) was raided by a neighboring tribe. Kyz’s father rallied his troops and managed to retake the island but, it cost him his life. Kyz took up the mantle and his small alliance named the island after the clan that had brought them together, Metamoris. Kyz rallied neighboring tribesman and his small alliance grew into something much larger. Together they fought and drove the invaders off and Kyz personally broken the arms and legs of many warriors. When the fighting was done Kyz tried his hand as a ruler but, abdicated his leadership when he realized he couldn’t wrestle his way out of tender diplomatic situations. He left the island at 19 and began training to take on the wide world of MMA. 5 years, 9 wins and, 5 losses later Kyz signed with Legacy! and is set to make his debut. Travis Browne has already dispensed with the debuts and is ready to jump into his second Legacy! match after defeating Master Wong in just under two minutes. His career had hit a low awhile back and he faced 4 defeats in a row. Travis was unperturbed and bounced back with a 4 win streak that allowed him to capture VFC’s Super Heavyweight belt. He defending his belt proudly but, left in the midst of a contract dispute. After a short and ill fated run with CBK Browne knew it was time for a change which brings us to this Saturday. Browne will go into this fight 9 cms taller at 205 cm and at 289 lbs he’s not the type of guy you want on top of you. Luckily he will have to cut weight for this fight. One only has to glance at these two men’s records to know that this will be your classic brawl and sprawl vs. grappler match up. Kyz has racked up 89% of his wins via submission while Browne has earned all 10 of his wins by way of knockout. Browne holds a significant advantage in both boxing and Muay Thai whereas Kyz is by far a superior grappler with a black belt in BJJ. Not only that but, he possesses a remarkable ability to take down his foes quickly and Browne’s takedown defense isn’t anything spectacular. In the past he’s been the one scoring takedowns and hasn’t taken a whole lot of time to train his defense. Like many Heavyweight fights, this one will be another race, Browne will be running for the KO while Kyz is gunning for a takedown and submission. Who will reach the finish line first? Only time will tell. Well, that’s all for the main card folks. If you’ve got a fighter down there ↓↓↓ Do some buzzing and give me something to write about. Let’s have a look at the undercard… 170 lbs division - Dong Uk vs. Jericho Hill 170 lbs division - Dark Terror vs. Adryan Preuss 135 lbs division - Mack Daddy vs. Balfour Darrow 205 lbs division - Kanga Roos vs. Francisco dAnconia 205 lbs division - Jeff Rogan vs. Slade Wilson
  5. Ahh good to know. I don't have the messages anymore since it was from when I started but it was typically something like Louie said. "I'm sick of getting kicked in the head boss, Can I do something other than spar MT" etc. I ask about the 6 sessions a week because I picked up a FA spar bot. I was planning on using him for BJJ and Wrestling sparring and it'd be awesome if I could do both but, that might be a bit of a stretch.
  6. Yeah I figured that out pretty quick. Out of curiosity, how often do you spar your fighters? Is one session a day for 6 days too much? Since I got spammed with all that fighter hate mail. I'm really hesitant to spar as much now.
  7. Thanks guys! I really appreciate all the input. It seems like heart is a lot more important than I thought. I feel like it's the perfect counter to a confident fighter that's demoralizing you. I just have a real hard time gauging heart. How do you guys measure it? That was my problem too. Still a dumbass but, with your help I'm learning I've still got a lot of fighters that'll need to be cut because of their fast learning but, I might as well make the most out of them in the meantime.
  8. I must have been sparring too much then because, I've received quite a few messages from my fighters complaining about how they twisted their ankles etc. lol It doesn't happen anymore though! Thanks guys.
  9. If something similar to this has been done before I apologize. I've heard a lot of different opinions on what hiddens different managers value above others. I'm sure a lot of you will pick very similar rankings but, In what order do you guys prioritize the hidden traits? This is open to interpretation. If you typically create brawl and sprawlers your preferences are likely to be different from that of someone who is building a TWGC grappler. Just post your ideal hidden priority for what YOU tend to build most of the time. If you feel like posting different answers for different builds knock yourself out. I'll get started... For your typical brawl and sprawler or GNP wrestler this is my current preference 1. Granite Chin (I'd rather avoid a KO than get one, There's always a decision win if all else fails) 2. KO power (It is however nice to knock your opponent's on their asses) 3. Confidence (I'm beginning to realize that this is more important than it looks) 4. Cuts (What's the point of a granite chin if you're going to bleed out?) 5. Intelligence (The more PBP's I read the more I realize that an intelligent underdog can wreck a stupid title holder) 6. Heart (It seems like heart can pull a fighter's ass out of the fire if he made some mistakes) 7. Fast learner (I used to value this a lot more but, after learning about how it effects your fighter's 'peak' I feel it's most valuable to tourney fighters.) 8. Injuries (Having an injury prone fighter can suck but, it's not too terrible) 9. Amateur experience (It's nice and all but, It only seems effective for your first couple fights) 10. Popularity (I don't much care for this one. I feel like my fighters should earn their hype/pop) I think that's all of them. For a submission specialist here's my list: 1. Granite Chin (You need it unless you only plan on doing TWGC but, that's just not feasible) 2. Intelligence (Surprised? Maybe I'm biased but, I've got a very smart grappler and he's my favorite fighter. If I mess up my sliders he compensates excellently) 3. Cuts (if you're forced to go the distance you don't want to be bleeding all over the place.) 4. Heart (If you're getting your ass handed to you, I feel like this could save the day and allow for that much needed takedown) 5. Confidence (No-one wants their guy huddled in a corner begging for mercy) 6. Injuries (You'll likely need a lot more sparring and I'm not too confident about sparring with damaged goods) 7. Fast learner (He doesn't need to learn fast. I just can't stand super slow learners) 8. KO power (This one should probably be higher on the list because, one day your grappler might need to stand toe to toe with someone) 9. Amateur experience (Like I previously stated it's nice but, not necessary) 10. Popularity With all that said, I feel like KT fighters don't need intelligence at all but, other than that they're very similar to my brawl and sprawlers I left comments to explain the reasoning behind my rankings but, you guys don't have to. If you feel like quoting me and disagreeing with my choices feel free! I'm still pretty green and would love any input. Don't worry I can take the criticism
  10. They're all on the official youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/mmatycoonDOTcom
  11. Every time I see your GIF on one of your posts I feel obligated to stop and watch it at least twice. I can't help but lol.
  12. These aren't even my fighters but, I would have to say Stu "The Grim Reaper" Grimson (247480) or Lil Wayne (210437) I know that's two but I can't pick just one of them. They're both excellent KO artists with nearly flawless records and I love a good ole fashioned KO. Stu Grimson gets KO's however the hell he wants and has some fancy ones on his record. It would be hilarious to see Lil wayne fight, Do you think his mouth guard would have a grill in the front of it?
  13. http://i.imgur.com/KX890iy.png Live from Montreal on September 12th, 2015 Legacy! 11 The Expo Prepared by Russ T. Shackleford Welcome back MMAniacs to Legacy’s second event of the weekend! I’ll keep this one short and sweet. There will be plenty of striking showcased throughout the entirety of this event and there will be plenty of KO’s if you’re into that type of thing. Who isn’t? While Friday’s event was comprised of mostly the big boys, this one will feature the small fries. There’s still going to be some of the big guys around but this event will last quite a bit longer. So bring your butt cushion, grab a beer and prepare for a battle royale! The main event will feature a couple of top 200 ranked heavyweights in your classic “gas in 2 minutes” type of match. In the co-main two fighters will fight for redemption but, only will have it. The question is who? From here on out I’ll endeavour to check any smack talk that’s happening on Buzz. Even if you’ve got an undercard fight we’ll try to make sure your colorful words are heard. Let’s go on with the action! Main Event - 265 lbs division Nick Fjera vs. Vincenzo Vitalli In the main event of the evening we have the very successful Nick Fjera squaring off against the new comer Vincenzo Vitalli. Nick Fjera’s old score with Merkan Killmaz bubbled over into the Legacy! and Killmaz was heard demanding to avenge the loss he had previously faced at the hands of Fjera. Luck was not on his side and Fjera managed to negate Killmaz’s powerful high kicks and secure the 8th submission win of his career. The match began quickly enough and Fjera made it appear that we was going to keep the fight in the vertical and exchange blows with Killmaz. This changed when Fjera was cut by a powerful uppercut and dove in for a takedown. He succeeded but, Killmaz managed to push him off and stand up. The two exchanged blows for a time and it appeared that all was lost after Fjera took a number of body strikes and they became winded. Nick took a brief moment to recover and went on the defensive before scoring with another takedown. This time Killmaz couldn’t have gotten Fjera off of him if he had a crowbar. He worked a few strikes and then Nick exposed Killmaz’s arm and forced a shoulder popping kimura. After waking up on a beach in Hilo with no recollection of the past 20 years of his life, Vincenzo Vitalli was confused to say the least. He reached in his cargo shorts to find an MMA license that stated that he was very quick, had lethal high kicks and a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Flipping the card over he read a message scrawled in ink that stated “DON’T FIGHT ANYONE! YOU’LL KILL THEM! CALL ME Stu MacK! 555-5555” Vitalli made the call and learned that the creator had left him for dead and that this Stu intended to revive him and his career. He was also informed that in his past life he had been a MMA fighter who died due to injuries sustained after getting kneed in the head… a lot. Eager to begin redeeming himself Vitalli, began training hard and at the urging of his new manager he walked into a Hilo QFC and signed himself up. Vitalli excelled expectations and began a win streak that spanned 7 fights. In this time he signed with Imperial and triumphed over Legacy’s own Johnny Cage to earn the 265 lbs belt. He defended it once but alas it wasn’t meant to be and Vitalli lost at the hands of Bull Hurley. Stu and Vincenzo decided that the newly formed Legacy! was ripe for the picking and they knew that a move to Montreal would be in Vitalli’s best interests. At 23 years old Vitalli sports a massive scar from his legendary bout with Johnny Cage and has chased the man halfway across the globe looking to even the score. A fight between the two is inevitable and it will surely be a spectacle when it occurs. At 8-2-1 Fjera will come into this match with a slight experience advantage in comparison to the 7-2 Vitalli. Considering that, these two fighters have spent a nearly identical amount of time in the cage, Fjera with 49 minutes and 5 seconds while Vitalli has a grand total of 48 minutes and 9 seconds. Although Fjera deserves a badge for making it to a decision as a heavyweight he is still the faster finisher at 4 minutes and 28 seconds on average. Vitalli has made it to the 3rd once in his career but, has never gone the distance, he posted an average of 5 minutes and 21 seconds. With all 8 of his wins coming by way of submission, Fjera will certainly be looking for another this evening. Vitalli however is a striker and all 7 of his wins have come by via (T)KO. In addition to that he went on a 4 fight KO streak and it has become apparent that he possesses some astounding power. Fjera has only been knocked out by Stu Grimson but, who hasn’t? The guy has 13 clean KO’s. These heavyweight matches are more akin to races so expect to see Vitalli rush for the KO while Fjera hurries for a takedown and submission. Co-Main event - 135 lbs division Yong Wright vs Geralt of Rivia. In the second event of the evening two Vendetta squadmates will look to prove who is the better alliance fighter in another classical matchup. Yong Wright is no stranger to diversity and grew up in Houston, where asian americans are a vast minority. He faced a few bad apples but, Yong was generally well received by his peers. Nevertheless, he sought to prove himself whenever he got the chance and this prompted him to join his high school wrestling team. He had resounding success and won state every year. Wright grew to love the sport and after high school he went to college to become a teacher. Seeking to relive his glory days Yong returned to his former high school and took up a position as the team’s wrestling coach. Coaching wasn’t enough though and spurned on by his team and assistant coaches Yong bravely took a step forward in his career and signed up for a QFC. With friends and family in attendance Wright armbarred his opponent and began a career that saw him go 11-5-1. On his road to glory Wright earned numerous distinctions including PFC’s 145 lbs belt and a 7 win streak. This streak ended with a draw when Wright squared off against Fabricio Valakas and found himself unable to submit or KO someone for the first time in his life. This heralded trouble for Wright and future opponents finally knew how he could beaten. Wright has been down on his luck since then and lost 4 matches in a row. A trip with NEX to Montreal caught Wright’s attention and he learned that a newly formed organization would be opening it’s doors. He wanted in. The arrangements have been made and Wright is set to begin his redemption in Legacy! Geralt of Rivia has been described as having an outwardly cold nature but, underneath that lies a fiercely loyal friend who is good humored and quick to offer advice to those who genuinely need it. Previously one of the top prospects in the world “The White Wolf” has also fallen on hard times amidst fierce competition. Since moving into the 135 class at Legacy! he has faced two consecutive defeats in matches he was winning on the scorecards. Both of these losses can be chalked up to armbars, there’s no doubt that Geralt has been hard at work training his takedown defense and escapes in preparation for this fight against the superior grappler Yong Wright. Geralt is rumored to be over 100 years old and it’s been said that he forged his birth certificate so that he might be able to compete in the league. If said birth certificate is to be believed Geralt will be the younger fighter at 22 by 8 years. Not only that but, Geralt will stand 6 cm taller and weigh 6 pounds less. Both of these fighters have 17 fights to their name but, Yong has spent 2 hours 57 minutes and 23 seconds of his life in the ring compared to Geralt’s 1 hour 54 minutes and 22 seconds. With an extra hour in the ring it should come as little surprise that Wright tends to be the less aggressive fighter. He averages 10 minutes and 26 seconds in comparison to Geralt who finishes in 6 minutes and 44 seconds on average. Neither of these fighters have ever won in a decision and if it goes the distance it will be Wright’s 3rd in a row. While Wright has shown the ability to both strike and submit with ease in the past he will be forced to shoot for takedowns this evening. He will have serious reservations about standing up against Geralt who has gained all 12 of his wins via (T)KO. Although he’s at a slight disadvantage in the clinch Wright has more strikes at his disposal and he could very well look to clinch up and hammer away with some elbows and knees. It won’t be long before he looks to pull guard and get this fight to the ground. Once there he will attempt to work some ground and pound while keeping an eye open for any submission opportunities. This clash between two vendetta managers could very well go the distance if Wright keeps his chin covered up and It will be entertaining to see who comes out on top. 135 lbs division William Blake vs. Barack Obama William Blake makes a triumphant return to Legacy! to take on... the head of state Barack Obama? Yes! we’ve tried to keep it on the down low but, Legacy! is proud to announce that the president of the United States has been taking fights to promote healthcare.gov. It’s unclear how fighting in Montreal will further his cause but, post match Obama likes to point out that all the damage he causes to his opponents and explain that if his opponents were American all they would need to do is sign on to the aforementioned website and request a plan that best suits their lifestyle (Failure to comply will of course result in a hefty fine.) William Blake came into his match against Geralt of Rivia as the underdog on paper. Skeptics turned to believers when Blake landed a powerful takedown into Geralt’s guard only seconds after the opening bell. Blake had no issues transitioning into half guard and then mount. Once there, Blake’s corner urged him to unleash a torrent of hammerfists and elbows which he willingly obliged. It’s unclear if Blake and Geralt have a history outside of MMA but, It did become apparent that Blake holds a special sort of contempt for the man. For the next few minutes he beat Geralt to a pulp from mount. When Geralt became dazed and ceased to defend intelligently Blake would take a break and allow his opponent to recover before continuing on. The onslaught continued on for a few minutes until Blake got bored and reached for an armbar. With only 2 seconds to spare in the first round, Geralt submitted and Blake walked away with his first Legacy! win. Barack Obama dealt a stunning defeat to the formerly undefeated Balfour Darrow in his debut on the Legacy! 7 undercard. In the first 30 seconds of the fight Obama was on the receiving end of a booming head kick and was chopped to the ground by a powerful leg kick. Obama displayed the type of heart that one only sees in movies and scrambled to his feet where he began unleashing combo after combo. In a matter of seconds Obama had knocked down Darrow, cut him and, finally rocked him. The volley ended the same way it started when Obama landed a 4-1-4 combo and sent Darrow’s eye rolling into the back of his skull. Afterwards Obama paid homage to KO’d opponent and made it clear that he wanted to go onto bigger and better things. We can only assume he was referring to being president of the world. While Obama was able to dominate Darrow he exposed a few chinks in his armor. If Blake wants to have success he’ll need to exploit Obama’s stamina as well as his lack of striking defense. With 8 of his 10 wins coming via submission, William Blake will surely be looking to put this one away with his grappling. Obama is no slouch on the ground though and he possesses a brown belt in BJJ as well. Barack’s skills lie mostly on his merits as a boxer but, Blake has never been KO’d in his 13 fight career. Obama is also very apt at earning submissions when the fancy strikes him and it is difficult to tell what his intentions will be in this fight. He could find himself in a very difficult situation if Blake decides to pin him up against the cage in a clinch. With that threat in mind, Obama will most likely attempt to keep this one in the vertical where he holds a clear boxing advantage. He’s already faced one submission loss in the past and I doubt that he’s too eager to be dealt another. 265 lbs division Jyrki Kasvi vs Tetsuya Shiroo The Samoan, Jyrki Kasvi will return to Legacy! to take on the Japanese newcomer Tetsuya Shiroo. Jyrki never knew his father. He was the product of a one night stand between Finnish politician Jyrki Kasvi and a samoan woman. Although the two only spent that one fateful night together Jyrki’s mother had fallen in love with the silver tongued politician but, it wasn’t meant to be. She named her son after the man and Jyrki was forced to grow up fatherless. The only thing his father left behind was an old guitar and an empty bottle of booze. In a story reminiscent of “a boy named Sue” Kasvi left Samoa with the intention of giving his estranged father a piece of his mind. No One knows for certain if Kasvi ever found his father but it is clear that he has been traveling the globe and honing his martial art skills for the past 4 years of years of his life. His travels have taken him to Hawaii, Japan, The U.S. and most recently, Canada. Along the way he has earned 7 wins and 3 losses in professional fights and has posted a 1-1 record since signing with Legacy! A record he will be looking to improve tonight against a former Yakuza underboss. To say that Tetsuya Shiroo has had a rough life would be a vast understatement. He was born into an impoverished family and forced to steal to survive from an early age. This led to an inevitable life of crime and Tetsuya’s skills caught the attention of the Suishin-Kai Yakuza. Shiroo joined the gang and was forced to pay them a homage of about $3000 monthly. In a poverty stricken town Shiroo often struggled to collect the money in time and had to pay up by cutting of joints of his fingers instead. Shiroo’s luck never changed and after 4 failed marriages and the birth of a son with down syndrome he had been through enough. His car was totalled after he hit a deep pothole and he took his grievance up with the mayor. His threats and letters were left unopened so Tetsuya took it upon himself to get what he wanted. He tracked down the mayor and shot him twice in the back, murdering him. His attempted suicide failed and Tetsuya was locked in prison. Tetsuya was not forgotten by the Yakuza and in a strange turn of fate, they were able to work out a deal with the prison. If Tetsuya won 5 fights in a row he would be released and granted asylum in America. Tetsuya fought hard for his freedom under the pseudonym “The Yakuza” and won all of these fights with ease. Unable to return to Japan officially Tetsuya has taken to a life of fighting and has proven that you don’t need all your fingers to fight well. 5 years later Tetsuya is now 10-3 and looking to prove himself in Montreal. Both of these fighters are remarkable boxers but, Jyrki is one of the most elite in the game and he will have a significant advantage from long hours in the gym sparring. With that said Tetsuya could have more power and he will certainly have an edge in Muay Thai. Not only that but, Tetsuya has a great chin on him. His only flaw is that he’s a bleeder and has faced 3 TKO’s due to his cuts. Jyrki on the other hand has been TKO’d once and after a life of abuse, his chin finally gave out when he faced Farrokh Bulsara in his previous Legacy! match. There are serious reservations that this fight will go to the ground. The notion is an entertaining one though and these two fighters are virtually identical at grappling. Neither has had any luck with submissions so we’ll likely see an epic struggle. Whoever holds the full mount for longer will likely walk away with a TKO victory but, don’t be fooled. These two guys will stand toe to toe for some classic pugilism. 170 lbs division Sergio Bujol vs. Sam Hall Any spectator loves these striker vs. striker match-ups but, as a manager they can be gut wrenching. It’s always hard to tell who is the better fighter and upsets happen as often as the sun rises. Sergio Bujol will be seeking to make a name for himself at the expense of the accomplished Sam Hall in the final event on the main card. As a young boy Sergio would watch planes come and go from Tocumen International airport and when his family made the trek to the Miraflores Locks he would sit all day and watch ships make their way through the canal. He would often play a game with his brothers and sisters where they would make up stories about the destinations and occupants of these craft. Sergio began dreaming of a different life and one day he turned to his family and pointed at a ship with a big red white and blue flag on the side. “This ship contains the great boxer, Sergio Bujol and it is traveling to America.” He ran and jumped onto the freightliner and hid in the bowels of the ship knowing that he might never see his family again. Sergio disembarked without incident and travelled to Las Vegas where he began his life as a prize fighter. That was 6 years ago and since then Sergio has earned 10 wins and 5 losses. During that time he earned enough money to buy a home and his manager “The Dude” flew his family first class so they could live with him. With his family growing ever larger Bujol continues to fight so that his young ones can have a life that he was never afforded. Sam Hall was desperate for a KO in his fights against Liam Donnelly and threw out everything at his disposal. Liam had no intentions of taking any of Hall’s power shots and chose instead to focus on accurate counter punching. Liam clinched Sam with the intention of pulling guard but, Hall knew what was coming all too well. Hall was confident in his superior MT ability and kept the fight in the clinch. Neither fighter was having much success landing anything until Donnelly created a bit of space and slipped a massive uppercut through Hall’s guard. He tried desperately to re-engage the clinch but, the damage was done and Donnelly landed another strike that saw Hall crumpled on the mat. At 1-2 Hall has had a tough go in Legacy! but he has taken on some top notch competition, proving that he can hang with the best. Sam Hall has a total of 14 fights to his name and Sergio Bujol has 15 fights. While these two are evenly matched as far as experience goes, Sam has had a slightly tougher schedule against slightly more experienced foes. His opponents posted a pre-fight combined record of 131-55 in comparison to Bujol’s 106-51. With 4 TKO’s and 1 KO in the first round Bujol tends to finish his matches in 9 minutes and 23 seconds on average. Sam Hall on the other hand has 6 finishes in the first round but, 3 of these times it wasn’t him doing the finishing. He averages only 6 minutes and 51 seconds. Both of these fighters have taken TKO’s in the past but Sam Hall is the only one to receive a clean KO punch. No doubt that he’ll be very protective of his chin in this fight. At a glance these two are very evenly matched boxers, Sam Hall is much more accurate outside of the clinch though. Inside the clinch Bujol will have a slight advantage and he has no problem landing strikes with remarkable accuracy. I’m hesitant to even mention it but, on the ground it’s any man’s game. Sam Hall will have a slight wrestling advantage and has shown that he is typically the aggressor and can counter just as well. Bujol on the other hand is very cautious and will look to capitalize on any mistakes. All things considered, both of these fighters favor a good ole fashioned ground and pound and will seek to dominate the top. Much like the previous undercard there’s some big names below as well as a few newcomers. Show them some love or scout your next opponent! 135 lbs division - Edward Brown vs. Grey Worm 170 lbs division - Erik Kramer vs. Jimmy McLarnin 265 lbs division - Constantine Kermit vs. Giraldo Costanzo 155 lbs division - Gerry Khan vs. Vanilla Ice 170 lbs division - Brendan Murphy vs. Nino Niederreiter
  14. Sorry for the double post but, I just got my blue belt!
  15. But, can't he get injured sparring? I had a fighter that would get injured very easily. I had to be really careful about sparring with him.
  16. That's a good idea. Didn't even think about that >.< Make sure you pick up a guy who isn't injury prone Jones!
  17. http://i.imgur.com/XxXm5Jp.png Live from Montreal on September 11th, 2015 Legacy! 9 The Expo Prepared by Russ T. Shackleford Here we go again! In light of the recent holiday Legacy! has something special in store for fans this week, a double feature. We’ve rented out the Expo for the weekend and plan on putting some miles on it. Congratulations to our new 265 champ Frank Barbosa! If you haven’t read the PBP, Frank managed to stuff 6 takedown attempts and beat Terrell Grant like a rented mule after landing 21 of 23 headshots. Grant is bloody and broken following his defeat but, he’s made it obvious that he is intent on remaining in contention. No doubt we’ll continue to see big things out of him as he fights his way back to the top. Legacy! has brought in a lot of talent recently and competition will be fiercer than ever. If you have any top notch fighters that are looking for a change of scenery send Louie a message or head on over to the Cement your Legacy! thread. It looks as though the tournament is going to be pushed back a bit but, you’re more than welcome to stop by join the discussion or vote on what you’d like to see out of the event. Cement Your Legacy Tourney! With recruitment in full swing there will be many debuts in the upcoming events and there’s still plenty of titles that are waiting for the right fighter to come along and seize them. This friday’s main event will feature two top 200 ranked welterweights in a match that’s likely to be a slugfest. In fact, just about everyone on this card is an accomplished striker although some of these guys prefer grappling. A few of these fights will go the distance but, expect to see more KO’s than anything. Thanks for reading the introduction, It’s time to get on with the more interesting part. The previews! Main event - 155 lbs division Police Officer vs. Vincent Oketch A mysterious gun and badge toting young man known simply as the Police Officer has returned to his native Montreal to take on the “Mad Dog” Vincent Oketch. After graduating from the academy the rookie Police Officer found himself redefining the term ‘walking a beat’ in a rough borough in Montreal. In a matter of weeks the 18 year old officer had gained a reputation and managed to lower crime rates substantially. His ability to subdue perks became renowned and at the urging of his fellow officers he began a career in MMA and caught the attention of Hardcore Montreal Fighting League. His initial foray into professional fighting was bitter sweet and he lost his first two fights, one by decision and the second by TKO. The LEO was undaunted, he had never been KO’d in his whole life and didn’t intend to start now. He redoubled his training efforts and quickly rose through the ranks at HMFL, finishing his contract with a total of 11 wins and 5 losses. Although he managed to earn a 5 fight win streak and 5 OTN nominations the Police Officer was never allowed a title shot and hopes for things to be different this time around. Mr. Officer stayed true to his word and has never fell victim to a knockout punch. On top of that, he’s helped send 7 fighters into an early retirement. Vincent Oketch had a tough time in his Legacy! debut against the very difficult Charles Bronson. Oketch came into the match knowing that his lethal high kicks could very well get him out of a sticky situation but, Bronson had booming success by keeping the fight at arms length and clinching whenever the opportunity presented itself. Bronson also knew that Oketch was likely to take the fight to the ground where it was most evenly matched and trained his takedown defense in the build up. Oketch had no mind for grappling though, he was intent on winding Bronson and then moving to head shots in the clinch. Bronson possesses some top notch striking defense and displayed remarkable head movement, frustrating all of Oketch’s attempts. Vincent was able to cover up nicely and avoid a number of Bronson’s strikes but, Bronson had resounding success with head shots. When the bell for the third round sounded it was obvious that these strikes had taken a toll on Oketch and although he landed a beautiful head kick, Bronson was unfazed and the headshots he threw continued to win through. Oketch knew that Bronson was up on the scorecards. If he was going to win this, he would have to throw out everything at his disposal. He pursued Bronson across the ring into a series of stinging jabs. These strikes were hurting Oketch and he managed to cover up intelligently but, upon closer inspection the referee realized that Oketch was out on his feet and fighting on instinct alone. At the 3:45 mark the ref ended the fight and credited Bronson with a TKO victory. For the first time in his life, Vincent Oketch was TKO’d and has no intentions of being in that situation again. Both of these fighters have rich striking backgrounds and it will certainly be on display in this event. The Police Officer has a much stronger boxing background while Oketch holds a massive Muay Thai advantage. On the ground the wrestling advantage will be Oketch’s while the Police officer will be advantaged with a black belt. With all of that said, the Police officer is more prone to striking with 7 of his 11 wins coming via (T)KO’s. Oketch on the other hand has proven he can get his wins either on the ground or through striking. He has 5 (T)KO’s alongside 6 submission wins. This fight will likely remain in the vertical and Police officer could find himself in a world of trouble if Oketch keeps this fight in the clinch where he has a wide array of strikes at his disposal. If he has the skills he might be able to score with a takedown and Oketch will find be in a difficult position if he makes his way into Police Officer’s guard. Co-main event - 265 lbs division Johnny Cage vs. Master Wong This next pair of fighters faced huge upsets in their debuts but, will continue to fight for a chance to make their names known here at Legacy! Johnny Cage thought he would have an easy time in his new organization and was offered a title fight based on his previous merits in Imperial. There’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that Johnny Cage is a top notch contender. He beat Terrell Grant like he owed him money for 5 rounds straight and landed an impressive 45 head punches and 35 leg kicks. Terrell was obviously hurting towards the end of the fight and it was apparent who had won every single round. Grant just couldn’t get any traction against the formidable Cage and had 15 takedowns stuffed, he was only able to land 2 and each time Johnny sprung back to his feet immediately. With only seconds to spare in the 25 minute title fight, Grant knew that it was time to go for broke, he pulled guard in the clinch and dragged Cage to the mat with him. He faked for a triangle and Cage defended well but he didn’t expect Grant to switch to an armbar. With only a second to spare Cage’s arm was broken and he was forced to submit. Master Wong’s performance was very similar to Grants. In his debut against Travis Browne he knew his success would hang on his ability to score a takedown. Browne too was well aware and stuffed all 11 of Wong’s attempts. His aggression caused him to walk into Browne’s fists numerous times and Wong was clearly disheartened. He continued on nevertheless and just shy of the 2 minute mark Browne landed a massive left hook that sent Wong to the canvas. The hurt in Wong’s eyes was visible and he tried to recover his wits but, Browne was having none of it. He dove on the wounded fighter and pounded his furry face until Wong’s movement ceased. Wong will certainly be a bit more cautious in advancing against another striker this Friday. These two men are both strikers at heart and they have both shown a remarkable ability to score KO’s. Wong will have a slight boxing advantage and is peerless when it comes to finishing a fight, he averages only 2 minutes and 27 seconds whereas Johnny averages 10 minutes and 24 seconds. This will however give Johnny a distinct experience advantage. He’s fought more than twice as many fights as Wong for a grand total of 3 hours 7 minutes and 14 seconds compared to Wong’s meager 22 minutes and 18 seconds. Cage will compensate for his minor boxing disadvantage with a massive MT advantage. These skills will be best utilized by throwing kicks and clinching up. Wong could very well face difficulties escaping the clinch if Johnny has the mind to take the fight there. He certainly will and Wong will look to duplicate Grant’s success against Cage by pulling guard when the opportunity presents itself. On top of that Cage will have to contend and plan around Wong’s knees as the could quickly sap his energy if he’s not careful. If Wong is able to pull guard or manage a takedown Johnny will have to fight for his life. There’s no doubt that when this fight goes horizontal Master Wong will transition to the top and look to ground and pound Johnny into oblivion. He’s shown a remarkable penchant to do so in the past and the only thing he has struggled with is taking his opponent down. Both of these fighters have excellent chins but, one of them is might give in this fight, the question is who's chin will stand up to the abuse longer? 185 lbs division - John Altare vs. Liam Davidson This next matchup is too close to call and these two fighters are so evenly matched that anything could happen. John Altare will make his debut against Liam Davidson who is eager to turn around his 2 loss streak after suffering a submission at the hands of Kim II Sung. A life in Helsinki, Finland hardened not only John Altare’s resolve but his fists as well. He was often bullied and called the Imp not because of his size but, because of his looks. John cared little what other thought and instead impressed the ladies with his ability to beat up their boyfriends. He wore the nickname “The Imp” proudly and developed a reputation as a woman stealer. When he turned 18, John sought to improve upon his reputation by entering into a QFC. He failed his first test and by the end of the fight John was cut, bloodied and, knocked out. His spirit remained unbroken and Altare begged his manager Mike Jursllla for another chance. Mike entertained the notion and signed John up for a 4 fight contract with PKFC. To his surprise John went on a rampage and earned 4 (T)KO’s consecutively. Although had failed his first test he passed the second with flying colors. Mike signed up Altare with CBK for his third and final test. While in Immortals, John fought hard and faced a tough schedule. Altare exceeded all expectations and went on to capture the 185 lbs title defending it twice. It was towards the end of his stint at CBK that Altare decided that he wanted to see the world and fight at the same time. He signed with NEX and began exploring America. He quickly made friends in Los Angeles and often spent his evenings in the local bars. Come fight day John would be too hungover to put up much of a fight and he lost both of his matches in LA, snapping his 8 fight win streak. He settled down in New York where he could get the best training possible and decided that he might as well explore Canada too. He signed with Legacy! with high hopes for the future. He’s got gold on his mind yet again and has been hard at work to make that become a reality. In his match against Kim II Sung, Liam barely had time to throw a strike before Sung took him down. He had little problem transitioning against Sung and quickly made his way to the top. He was determined to ground and pound Sung and stood up to throw a massive superman punch on his grounded opponent. At the last moment, Sung rolled his head to the side, avoiding the strike and seized an opportunity to catch Liam in a triangle. Liam quickly freed himself of the triangle but, Sung transitioned to an armbar and Liam was forced to tap. He’ll be at odds with John Altare and it will be interesting to see what these two bring with them into the cage. John Altare will stand two cm taller and weigh 12 more pounds than Davidson. Both of these two have been fighting professionally since they were 18 but, Davidson will be advantaged by nearly a year more of training. With 2 KO’s and 6 TKO’s Altare will be looking for another KO. On the other end, Davidson has 5 submission wins on his 7-4 record and expects to get another out of this fight. Throughout the course of his career Liam has never been knocked out and Altare will have a tough time if that’s the route he chooses. Davidson won’t be too keen on standing up against Altare and we should expect him to make use of those powerful takedowns that’ve made him famous. When he gets to the ground Liam will have options. He’s shown an eagerness to ground and pound recently and don’t be surprised to see that worked into his strategy this evening. Will Altare be able to make good use of his dominance in boxing or will Davidson use his superior grappling skills to his advantage? 170 lbs division - John Brown vs. Pekka Kindmark Legacy! would like to welcome two of it’s newer strikers as they make their debuts in our 170 lbs league. Montreal’s own John Brown will seek to outwit and outstrike Finland’s Pekka Kindmark. John Brown’s life in Canada began inauspiciously enough. He was a very average boy who preferred MMA instead of hockey. A local young men’s association began offering MMA classes and John began attending regularly. He had found his niche and it was apparent that he was a cut above the rest of the other teenagers. It wasn’t long before John was assisting the instruction of the other boys. When he turned 18 John, tried his skills in a local QFC. He wanted to test his grappling but every takedown attempt failed. John was cut and KO’d by a massive knee in only 34 seconds. Brown saw how miserable his friends became when they started working and he knew that a regular job wasn’t for him. He was determined to fight professionally and signed up with HMFL. Since his debut Brown has gone 7-6 and decided that it was time to take the next step up in his career. He signed a contract with Legacy! and looks eagerly to the future. Pekka Kindmark has always shown great promise. His career began with a massive KO punch and it heralded much of what was to come from “The Shark.” Kindmark went on to sign up with PKFC where he captured the 185 lbs title while on a 4 fight win streak. His streak didn’t end there though, he left the organization and signed up with the bustling CBK where he went on another 4 fight win streak. This time around Pekka didn’t receive a title shot and caught wind that the organization would be closing. At this point Pekka had enough money to live comfortable but, continued his training nevertheless. He was contacted by NEX and agreed to take a fight that another fighter had dropped out of. His fight with NEX ended in a controversial split decision and Pekka vowed to never appear before those same judges again. He will return to Montreal this Friday in hopes of righting his previous wrong and regaining some of his Canadian followers. With a record of 7-6 Brown will have the benefit of more experience but, he hasn’t faced the same calibre of opponents as the 9-2 Pekka Kindmark. Brown’s opponents posted a combined record of 99-81 at the time they met Brown and Kindmark’s opponents posted a combined record of 34-11. It’s obvious that Brown has faced much more seasoned opponents and he’s found himself the younger fighter in 11 of his 13 matches. On the other hand Kindmark’s opponents average out to only 1 loss each. Both of these fighters are outstanding boxer’s but, the boxing advantage will go to Pekka who has shown some excellent power in his career. He’s managed to cleanly KO 3 opponents while Brown has only ever TKO’d his victims. Pekka will also have the benefit of remarkable Muay Thai and holds a vast advantage in that field. On the ground, all advantages go to Brown. He is by far the superior wrestler and holds a Brown Belt in BJJ. He has long had the option of submitting his foes but he prefers to instead take up the full mount and pound his opponents until the referee has seen enough. His speed coupled with his power and wrestling background has enabled him to score some great takedowns in the past. However, his takedown ability is eclipsed by his accuracy to land punches from the mount position. He has an unheard of 76% success rate while ground and pounding. Brown will be mindful that he has the weaker chin in this fight, he’ll have to be very careful to avoid taking any strikes when he shoots in for a takedown. If he scores successfully, Pekka will have to be very careful to avoid a potentially dangerous situation. This match is sure to have strikes by the bucketload as the GNP wrestler takes on the accomplished KO artist. 170 lbs division - Alfred Hitscock vs. Sungwon Jung After annihilating his previous two opponents, Alfred Hitscock returns to Legacy! to take on the lovable “Smiley chef” Sungwon Jung. Mike Jursllla knows talent when he sees it and naturally he jumped on the opportunity to pick up Alfred Hitscock when he was a free agent. Mike is big on strength and he invited Alfred to come lift weights and spar with him. While training with Hitscock, Mike realized that underneath his fighters flabby body was an unusual degree of power. It’s unclear what happened but, Mike realized that Hitscock possessed a monster right hook and found the key to unlocking it. Since then Hitscock went on a rampage and has won 5 of his 6 fights under his new manager. Not only that but, 3 of those wins were 1st round KO’s which is rare at this level of competition. There’s no doubt that Hitscock’s power will have Sungwon Jung looking to cover up and weather the onslaught. The “Smiley chef” came into his Legacy! debut downtrodden and his morale issues were quickly compounded by the thorough beating he received at the hands of Kelvin Parker. In the first round Parker pulled guard and landed a scissor sweep. When he had made his way to the top. he laid down an awe inspiring beat down that had Jung rocked. Jung was able to retain his wits long enough to submit instead of facing additional brain damage. It’s been said that the loss has depressed Sungwon Jung to the point that all he does is lie in bed and weep. Nevertheless Jung has agreed to take another fight and will be looking to avoid facing another TKO. Both of these fighters have been knocked out in the past but, Hitscock is the only one of the two who has done any knocking out. There’s no doubt that he is the superior boxer. Alfred is also very adept at Muay Thai and has been known to work the occasional elbow into his gameplan. With all 15 of his wins coming via submission, Sungwon Jung’s intentions will be betrayed by his record. His only option to win this fight is to score a takedown in a hurry. If he gets Hitscock in his guard it will only be a matter of time before he deals a submission. It’s hard to tell how apt Hitscock is at defending takedowns since he’s only been taken down once but, he has managed to defend 2 out of 3 takedowns throughout his career. With about 86% of his matches ending in the first round Hitscock wont have to defend takedowns for long and if he’s able to stuff only one it will buy him the time he needs to land a KO punch. This match will be a very scary one for Jung. He will have to be very careful to avoid Hitscock’s lethal strikes and he knows that any one of them could end his night and quite possibly his career. Win or lose Jung will be remembered as one of the greatest after the success he had in his previous life as Isaac Frost. If Hitscock wins he will have the respect and admiration that he deserves and a 3-0 record in Legacy! There’s no doubt that this man is a contender and don’t be surprised when he is fighting for a title in the near future. Don’t disregard this undercard! 18. Oh man, my can got crushed Props to Murdock. I'll be sticking around but, with a different fighter. Good luck guys!
  19. Please tell me that you'll name this fighter Mr. Clean.
  20. I believe the issue is that the fighter I was trying to renew with was still within the 10 day grace period. Thanks for all your help Rufus.
  21. I'm trying to renew a sponsorship and offer a new deal but, when I select new offer the entire field goes "light" and I can't input any data into the selected fields. I can't offer payment/length/freebies etc. Is there something I'm missing here?
  22. Luckily, I've never experienced this first hand but, I did come across this fight today while writing an article and I have to say I'm dumbfounded... http://www.mmatycoon.com/fightcommentary.php?FTID=759637 How did Poggle win when he landed only 28 punches compared to Bakiyev's 50? I know he threw a lot more strikes but, I don't think that should've earned him the win. Even the announcer gave every round to Bakiyev. This coupled with judge B scoring round two 10-10 confused me quite a bit. Perhaps I should start making fighters with 15 SD 15 stamina and 1 strength in addition to setting them to full aggression...

    Flights

I think the flight system should be a little more friendly to newer players. It would be nice if there was a small flight to and from each city Thursday or Friday that was run by an NPC airline. You wouldn't be able to change base using this airline, only visit the city to fight. The reason I say this is that managers are likely to get contract offers for cities that there fighter isn't in. They're often decent contracts but, you can easily end up losing all/most of your profit if you have to rent a jet and fly your fighter to change base on your own. I've addressed this issue to numerous org owners and I typically receive the same response "offered an extra 3-6k so you visit for your fights." which is nice and all but, it doesn't really solve the issue. Now you have to worry about finding a seat on another players flight. You ask yourself "will I be able to find a flight in time? Will I have to leave early and join a different gym? If I do find another flight is the ***hole running it going to charge me 6k? etc etc.
