  1. Mirroring what Warwynd is mentioning: Way back in the day when we had a LOT of people on the site and a good chunk of them were still sort of testing/guessing with sliders, starting without a mentor wasn't as bad. But many of those original folks are upwards to 7-10 years in with experience now. The good thing here is that many of them are willing to share their knowledge and help new people. We realize that it won't do any of us any good if we just squash new people relentlessly. That will ultimately result in a net negative. I'm not in an alliance personally but if you have any questions about the game I'm happy to help.
  2. Welcome! just know the game requires some patience and investment of time as anyone here will tell you. But with the right first org and a good alliance group, you can have a lot of fun and learn a lot! My personal advice: check out Sydney Fights http://www.mmatycoon.com/orgpublic.php?oid=5399 It's a well run fight organization, good starting contracts for new and veteran players, and the owner is very active. Plus they have a cool logo
  3. this was a free agency pick up so I didn't have a chance to move him or assign him anywhere unfortunately.
  4. http://mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilemanager.php?FID=317617 Is there a way to get this fixed?
  5. Jeremiah: yes actually you are, which is why it threw me off initially. Sorry about all of this but thank you for making it right!
  6. I didn't want to do this because the forums tend to be a lot of negativity anyways, but I've messaged him 4 times now without a response. So I figured I would check in on the forums and see if anyone knew anything about this. It sucks because prior to this his transactions were always super smooth. I've been pretty cool about waiting I think but I also don't think it's too much to ask just to take a moment and say "hey I'll get to this in a couple of days" or fill me in on whatever the delay is. He owns Wrecking Ball Elite Clothing and Laundry, I've copied and pasted my transaction from my fighter Fanning below. OUT 02 Nov, 2017 $255005 to Wrecking Crew Elite Clothing and Laundry $ 275,102.07 Any help is appreciated
  7. Bjorn: I've had something similar happen where a guy declined a fight offer based on the fighter's name. I had to side bar the conversation and tell him "ok I get it, some of the names in this game are really stupid....but you can't seriously think turning down a fight is the right thing to do. Have you seen how many of them there are?!" As for declined fights: Back when I started in Sept 2009 I did the whole "I decline nothing!" and got set up with some pretty bad match ups. As I learned more and eventually came back to the game I got a little more picky. I try to avoid lining myself up with too many high level managers at once because I want to focus on those fights the most (so I tend to have maybe 10 fights lined up but only 2-5 near each other). I've declined short notice fights that kept coming repeatedly from an org owner who thought that was the right thing to do I guess. And when I came back to the game I was like ranked mid 200 range and I had org owners trying to give me fights against top 25 to top 10 managers. So I had to tell them to give me a chance to train and get my feet wet again
  8. Most of my fighters could use a sponsor, in particular this one Sanford Fanning (254845)
  9. I know I've been able to move other businesses before but I'm not seeing an option to move a gym.
  10. http://www.mmatycoon.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=57499&p=799418 Looking to add a few more fighters so we can get this throwdown underway!
  11. I figured if this was posted in another thread that a mod would just move it, since this is technically the correct forum it should be posted in
  12. BRFC is putting together a welterweight tournament for young fighters in Tokyo and we are still looking for some adventurous souls looking to compete for the belt and 50k cash prize to the fighter who takes it all. Ideally I'd like to have a 16 man tourney but I'll take what I can get and work from there. PM me in the game if you are interested!
  13. Budo Rei FC, the #1 org in Tokyo is looking for a few more fighters to round out our roster. If you're hungry for a title or think you have what it takes come check us out! http://www.mmatycoon.com/orgpublic.php?oid=4735
  14. I hate seeing my fighter go without sponsors He's been doing really well too http://mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilemanager.php?FID=252575
  15. I have a fighter in need of a contract. 135er http://mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilemanager.php?FID=252575
  16. 4 fighters who need contracts Bestar Andreasson (261716) 236.6 lbs Don Collier (262050) 187.1 lbs Hildebrand Coenan (163165) 163.8 lbs Breannain Miletich (186568) 145.6 lbs
  17. I'm not for adding more skills that need to be trained and/or points reallocated. Just my opinion of course but when we did the escape/transition change I found it difficult to adjust for some of my fighters. Sliders on the other hand I don't mind the change up. I do agree that the ground game could use some help and oddly enough I always assumed kicking fighters would be susceptible to easier TDs so if we switch that up some I'm already accommodating for it So that works for me. Although I would like to see the Elbows attribute applicable to stand up fighting and not just the clinch (ala Jon Jones). But the ground and pound comments about accuracy/damage slider I am all for. And I know it's long overdue but thank you very much for modifying the Elbows in the clinch to allow for -just- elbows and not elbows and knees no matter what. Any chance of us allowing for a Pride fighting ruleset? Kicking attribute for soccer kicks anyone?
  18. Let me know if you need any help with anything. Even though I took a break as well in 2015 for a bit I've been playing this game since mid 2009
  19. I didn't think so. If I recall I only had like a Strong rating in it at the time but my Escapes were Remarkable
  20. Yermaw has some great points. Having run several in the past I'd also strongly suggest using the Tycoon Tools site to help you figure out fighter placement on the cards, suggested production and advertisement costs, etc. Also be ready to hire several fighters who you'll be lucky if they fight once in your org. New people tend to drop into this game, check it out, sometimes sign to an org, and then vanish. So recruitment is going to be one of your ongoing challenges. If you have someone to partner up with who can help it would be wise add someone to your staff who can be online frequently to keep offers coming. Just my opinion but most managers here seem to like the higher weight classes so I'd focus on signing fighters 170 and up first.
  21. What they said above. One thing I have noticed a lot of managers saying is the Escape skill seems to be over powered (or perhaps more important in some situations while on the ground). Having recently built someone new (a striker with decent defense on the ground) his first fight out he completely outclassed a wrestler/bjj fighter almost solely based on my strength, escape, and defense grappling. He'd take me down, I'd power right back up, strike some for a bit, he'd eventually take me back down and just like the Chumba Woomba song I got right back up again Flexibility plays a part in it as well I believe since you need it to be effective with submissions
  22. Gianka brings up some good points too. Scouting your fighter is super important. Although admittedly harder for you in these cases because most of your fights were QFCs which means they will usually have 0-3 fights on an average for the younger guys you're fighting. Scouting the fighter will show what they will likely be doing too. So with some of these guys you've fought they had crap for striking as well. This sort of thing means you'll almost always know what the fighter is going to throw at you. So set your counter TD slider really high and counter strike the snot out of them. That's where your superior wrestling and TDD is going to start showing in my opinion. And by the 3rd or 4th stuff you should already have landed some significant strikes on an almost gassed fighter
  23. Yeah I looked at a few of your other fights too. What I'm seeing in the example is someone who wasn't unskilled (but not too far below you) in Wrestling but clearly had several steps above you in BJJ. That's probably why he scored the win. Being older and having had more time to train had to have played a part in it too The other one, BJJ was way better again and he likely has a higher clinch. I think his TD was a bit more luck though in my opinion. He could have way better physicals. If the strength on your fighter isn't much then balance is only going to help so much before other fighters just flat out power through
  24. looking for an alliance to join to swap fighting tactics and other general nonsense that comes with guys chat Took a break from the game for awhile earlier this year but I've been playing since 2009

    Clinchwork

I've had a gut feeling about this for years in this game (based mostly on the anti spamming/predictions of take downs) but the more you're able to mix up a fight the better your fighter potentially can be if all stats are similar or equal. Using the clinch as an example: if two fighters match up and have similar stats but one fighter also had solid elbows and/or knees then he'd potentially be in a better position because the fighter would end up expecting the punches in the clinch but the other fighter would have more to contend with and lack the ability to predict what was coming next as accurately. Just my opinion though, It's something I've felt is likely in place for clinchwork
