  1. I think this might be the most fascinatingly fantastic thread I've ever opened.
  2. Fury kills Wilder. He plays the fool, the maniac, but the guy's a thinker and a strategist. He went out there and made the best heavyweight of the last couple generations look like a basic bitch. Klitschko couldn't do anything, Fury's tactics made him look slow and weak and stupid. Anyway, Fury kills Wilder to unify, then Joshua decimates Fury and dominates the heavyweight division for the next 15 years. I'm surprised no one's mentioned him yet, been watching him for years, always said he'd be great. Not there yet, but he's getting there. I feel like this kid is going to breathe some life into this slow division. Anyway, HW division has been poor for a while, I feel like the next 3-4 years it's going to become one of the best again, feel like the belts are going to split and trad heads for 2-3 years before Joshua starts his domination. Also, to the people saying it was boring, I disagree completely. It was a tactical game. Some fights are just like that, doesn't make them boring, not at all. I was on the edge of my seat for that entire fight, knew it would go to points every punch I was jumping and calculating point hauls in my head. But hey, that's just me.
  3. I love him to bits. Not one of those deluded fanboys that scream he's the best thing ever. I think he'd have a lot of trouble with Edgar and Mendes, although he did have s torn ACL against Mendes. Makes it s little difficult to avoid takedowns, but until I see him beat one of these guys easy, I think a fight with them could go either way, I also think Aldo is a phenomenal all round fighter. But I'm still backing McGregor. Some people take him so seriously and hate him because of the shit he comes out with, I just think it's hilarious. He's trolling the shit out of everyone, and the reactions he gets out of everyone makes him a straight up winner because of it.
  4. McGregor - feel like he has way too much for Aldo to handle. Mendes with full camp and Edgar in prime condition would give him a run for his money, but standing up? I can't see Aldo doing anything. Aldo is fast and strong, McGregor is faster and stronger, not only that but he hits you as he's backing away, he's a master of reach, you can't hit him when he's backing away from you but he always seems to find the angle to hit his opponent. Rockhold - feel like he might actually edge this. I can't tell you why. Not based on statistics, skills, performance. I just feel it for some reason. Not sure why, Weidman is an absolute killer, but there it is. Pretty close match up, could go either way, but I'm backing Rockhold for this. Souza Holloway - looking forward to see Holloway since he fought McGregor, this kid has so much potential. If McGregor hadn't torn his knee and changed strategy in their fight, Holloway could have stood with him, would have been much closer, and hey Stephens is more than a decent fighter himself Nelson - something to prove. Two of the best in the game here, I feel Nelson will get an early(ish) (T)KO here, both great subs, but Nelson is also very strong, very quick, and he trains his boxing with McGregor, who regardless of whether you love or hate him, is a phenomenal boxer. Faber - easiest selection so far, I'm also a little bias, I'm desperate for Faber to win this and stick with it and face McGregor down the line, just because of all the banter on TUF hyping this potential fight up. Although I did hear he now wants to take Dillashaw instead(which will be hilarious to watch, TJ would wreck him) Torres Alves Santos Mustafaev Makdessi McGee
  5. Saul killed him, nowhere near a draw. Saul, Ryan and Artem are my favourites in this season, would have been happy if Ryan had won as well, but Saul destroyed him, his gamelan was superb, respect to McGregor and Nelson for training him to escape and avoid submissions. Ryan Hall is a fantastic submission artist, but when you've got Gunnar Nelson raining, you've got that edge, Saul had a game plan and played it perfectly. I'd a love a Saul/Artem final. Superb fighters, and they actually fight, there's been a few people this season that haven't really fought, Saul and Artem stand up and out everything on the line, very exciting to watch. They're both UFC caliber in my opinion. This season has been phenomenal, I think we'll see a lot of Saul, Artem, Ryan and maybe Julian in the future, regardless of who wins.
  6. McGregor is a pretty good coach, shows up to the fights, shouts at the fighters to tell them what they need to be doing, encourages them to calm down and be patient in certain situations, when to explode in others. Show up to one of the two training sessions every day to teach the fighters new moves and drill/spar with them. And now Europe has most of the fights in the semi final. He's doing something right, no?
  7. Looking for a Nutrition Partner for my gym, Lights Out, in Amsterdam. Pm me.
  8. Looking for an active manager to join up with me to run th Lights Out brand. We'll be running a gym, fight org and bookies. If you're interested, hit me up. Needs to be VIP, if you're not VIP, message me and we'll see about getting you sorted out. Must be active and trustworthy. Hoping to turn Lights Out into a big thing.
  9. Less, definitely. Conor's full of banter to build up the entertainment factor, he actually shows a lot of respect to fighters. Ronda on the other hand is super disrespectful, don't know what that loss will do to her, but I hate her just as much.
  10. No broken jaw. Broke a few teeth and split her lip, that's it I believe.
  11. Rousey needs a new gym if she wants to come back. I'm fairly happy she got knocked out, but I feel pretty bad too. Her corner were fucking useless, and I'm pretty sure they played a huge part in her loss. They were practically telling her to go out there and stand in front of one of the best female boxers in the world and just let her hit you again and again. Rousey's a fucking judo expert. Why are you telling her to stand up against a huge boxer and take massive hits? Jesus. Hope she gets a new gym and comes in for the rematch.
  12. Uhm, Cyborg got banned for coming up positive for steroids at the end of 2012, less than 3 years ago. What are you on?
  13. Fight of the night, not fighter of the night. Did you tune in to watch the prelims or the main card? Which fight was the best on that card? Mhm.
  14. Well this is made up. Firstly,mAli is one of his idols, he always talks about his "movement". And Rousey is a friend of his, they're always hanging out and having the banter. Some of the shit he comes out with is absurd, but I'd hardly say he's a douche, or hates everyone. He trash talks to create entertainment - and boy does it fucking work. Oh and for those that think he'd get KO'd at 155, that's his natural weight class, he has to do a lot of extreme cutting it make 145. He'll be a fucking beast when he moves up. His knockout power at 145 is insane, imagine that power with that accuracy if he can bulk up naturally.
  15. http://i68.tinypic.com/33lz1uw.jpg CEC 408 Welcome ladies and gentlemen, we have a treat for you on the evening of October 30th 2015. In our first main event we have a knockout specialist with huge punching power colliding with a man that has never been knocked out in his professional career, followed by a rivalry up there with the most historical, Hess and Chernov meet in the octagon once more, having both beat each other once, with a TKO and KO in the first round of both fights, this is going to be a phenomenal rematch as Chernov attempts to regain his pride after Hess took his belt with a first round KO at Ascension 343: The End. CEC 408 is shaping up to be one of the best cards of the year, with two colossal title matches and a wealth of rising talent on the undercard, prepare yourselves for a night to remember at CEC 408. Undercard Jimmer Octopulus v Yonsil Clanger This match is shaping up to be a fantastic start to a great night of fighting. We've got an exceptional boxer and kicker in Jimmer going up against a sensational wrestler in Yonsil. Jimmer is a stand up artist, almost all of his 15 wins being TKOs, whereas his opponent is a take down master, winning 35 of his 40 match ups via decisions or submissions. We've got two phenomenal aspects of MMA colliding in the octagon, kick starting a supercard event. Bam Bam Margera v John Feet Da Pedra Lineker The second instalment of an incredible night of fighting, we have two great all round fighters going head to head, we have a knockout specialist in Bam, with a haul of 20 TKOs in 27 professional wins going up against a man with both knock out power and an ability to grind out decisions in John. This bout is shaping to be a war between two seasoned and well matched warriors, tune in to see a painted canvas. Tim Barbie Poutsi v Haji Death Cab Muakbar The third bout of the evening is a stellar match up between two elite wrestlers, both specialising in knockouts and cardio. Almost every fight these two have won has been a knockout or decision. We're in for a great evening of fighting, and each bout is better than the last! Be prepared to watch two warriors stand, strike, takedown and wrestle in a fight that could easily be a three round war that will come down to who threw the most punches, this could easily be decided in the first round and just as easily last the three, so prepare yourselves for a masterclass. Omnipotent Stem Cell v The Texas Tarantula Austin Williams This card goes from strength to strength as the fourth bout of the night bring together an elite wrestler and a sensational boxer, Stem Cell can just as easily get a knockout as he can grind out a three round decision, Austin Williams has a more rounded game, getting knockouts and subs just as often and decisions even more so. This fight is going to come down to tactics, Stem Cell looking to keep it standing and going for the TKO, and Austin who will prefer to wrestle, ground and pound or even go for a submission, either way, the fourth bout of the night will prove to be just as entertaining as the previous, and following fights Ottis Devil Child Toole v Cracker Jack Neely The fifth bout of the night will see two heavyweight knockout and wrestling elites go head to head in what looks to be contender for fight of the night, these two guys almost always get the knockout. This fight is going to be special, were going to see two killers go to war for this win, don't expect it to go to decision. The Outlaw Taisto Murkula v Anthony Tough Tony Anastasio This matchup is going to be exceptional, we have The Outlaw, a fighter that prides myself on wrestling and his natural knockout power, going up against a beast of a man that has never been knocked out in his 28 fight career in Tough Tony, two polar opposites will collide in bout six of CEC 408, who will win is anyone's guess, what is certain though is this fight will see stand up striking, clinching, wrestling, grappling, knockout attempts and submission attempts in its three five minute rounds, prepare for a war. Local Simpleton Shinichi Onizuke v Yury Vesnev These two super stamina wrestlers are known for grinding out decisions, but who could predict how a fight between two decision fighting ground wrestlers would go? All we know for sure is we're going to see a wrestling masterclass in fight number seven of CEC 408, an event that is shaping up to be one of the great nights of combat sports. Doom Unit v James Pearl Harbor Bout eight will see an elite wrestler with an unbelievable ability to submit opponents face a man that has never been submitted, a man with as many knockouts as decision wins. Were going to see a submission specialist attempt to submit a guy that can't be submitted. This has potential to be fight of the night, polar opposites, exceptional fighters and a passion and desire in both fighters to win this fight, and every other fight. Main Card Make Munalukko v Manolo Fu The first of two main events on this CEC super card will see an elite boxer and knockout beast in Make go up against Manolo, a man that refuses to be knocked, has never been put down, battle it out for the 185 lbs title. This fight will see two of the best 185ers in the sport clash in a hammer strike in the octagon tonight, two of the top 50 pound for pound fighters in the world, this is going to be a masterclass of MMA, with the title on the line, who will win? The boxer with extreme punching power, or the sensational wrestler that's never been knocked out? Well find out tonight. Do not miss this fight. "The Giant With Attitude John Hess v Sergey Death From Above Chernov The second main event of the night will see the second rematch between Hess and Chernov. In Ascension 306 we saw Chernov get the TKO against Hess inside the first round. In the main event of the final Ascension event, Ascension 343: The End, we saw Hess take Chernovs belt with an unbelievable clean knockout inside two minutes. Tonight, we see these two heavyweights clash in a battle of Titans, as an age old rivalry comes crashing to an end. This is a title fight between two passionate rivals, the score stands at 1-1, but in the biggest event of the night, possibly year, we see two of the top Pound for Pound fighters in the world come to world shattering blows to decide, finally, once and for all, who is the Undisputed, Unrivalled, CEC Heavyweight Champion of the World? Be there, tonight we will see history being made.
