  1. Hi everyone, I have a fighter on the Island and just tried to sign him up for a quick fight. But it says, I have no fighter eligible for a quick fight. The fighter in question has no active contract with any fight org. He used to be signed to an organization but when he wasn't offered any fighter for longer than the inactivity clause I released him. Could his being ineligible for a quick fight now have anything to do with this? It might also explain why he hasn't been offered any new contract in a month or so. The fighter ID is 352215. Any pointers would be much appreciated.
  2. Hi everyone, since my VIP is about to run out, I need to let go of a few fighters. One, unfortunately, already has a fight book for after my VIP has already run out, so the system won't let me release him. Is there a way to pull out of a fight after you have already accepted it? Thank you for any advice or input.
  3. Hi everyone, how big of a problem / nuisance is having a fighter sign up to a fight organization that isn't based in the same city as he is? I seem to vaguely recall having read somewhere that currently the fighter's location is irrelevant but I am not sure if I remember that correctly so if someone of you could clarify that, that would be great. Thank you for any pointers.
  4. Please no reset of hiddens! I finally got a fighter whose hiddens I like and slowly but surely he is turning into the fighter I want. If I know that two or three months from now, he might become completely useless, what is the point in even playing?
  5. I can't seem to find where I can turn my WOC credits in for VIP days. It says that I currently have enough credits to get 30 days VIP. When I click on the link in the WOC intro where it says "To claim your VIP time click here", it takes me to an overview of all the VIP time I have earned, and it also says that I have 30 remaining claimable days. But I simply can't seem to find any button where I can cash in my credits for VIP time. Could someone please explain to me where exactly I need to click?
  6. I was wondering how you guys like to use this slider. More specifically, say you have a striker vs. grappler scenario. Either you're the striker (with horrible def. grappling) and worry about being taken down, or you're the grappler (with horrible striking defense) and don't want to trade punches any more than you have to. Do you think it is better to go in aggressively to get the TKO/takedown as quickly as possible, or to be cautious and hope to get the TKO/takedown with counters?
  7. At what time do training sessions (am and pm) start and end? And what will happen if I change a training during that time? So, for instance, say training lasts from 8am till 1pm, and when it starts (at 8am) that training slot is set to punch technique, and at 10am I change it to takedown offense, will the entire training go towards punches, or takedowns, or will it be split? Cheers.
  8. Thank you! How do supplements go together with circuit training. Circuit training, if I am not mistaken, trains all physicals (to varying degrees), so, for instance, does it make sense to take the stamina building supplement while doing a speed-focused circuit?
  9. After I have bought supplements for a fighter, will he automatically take them as long as he has them in his possessions or do I have to somehow make him take them? What if one fighter has several different supplements? Does he take all of them simultaneously or do I have to choose one at a time?
  10. Somewhere, in the wiki presumably, it says that, if you are playing MMA Tycoon with your friends, it would be better to not have your friends' fighters train at your gym because thats how a lot of account fraud issues happen when you coordinate your fighters' sparring sessions with the ones of your friends' fighters. Something like that. I figured, it would probably be fine, but just thought I'd better ask to be sure.
  11. It's all in the headline. I want to test my fighter's learning speed, and need to get his morale up to 100%. It's somewhere around 60 or 70 at the moment. So, besides winning fights, how can I get morale up to 100?
  12. Hey, just a quick question so i don't get in trouble. Are you allowed to have several of your fighters train at your own gym? I'm asking because I read something about possible issues that might occur when you play MMA Tycoon with your friends ... Cheers!
  13. Hi everyone, is there any list or guide on how to uncover /check each of the hidden qualities? All I know so far is, a fighter's confidence can be gauged after a loss by checking how much his morale drops. Also, what are the hiddens that a fighter absolutely must have for you to keep him Cheers!
  14. Hi everyone, what I like to do when creating a new fighter, is max out a few skills to 110 points and then leave the rest at just 1. The idea is that it will be much easier to get the other skills to something like "respectable" fast then to get any one skill to excellent or elite. What do you think? Does that make sense? One problem with creating a fighter like that, I find, is that cheap gyms often don't have elite coaches, so I can't train those skills that my fighter already is "wonderful" at. So, that's cool if I first train those other skills but, of course, I don't want those "wonderful" skills to go down. So, my question is, if, once a week, I have my fighter train with coaches whose actually worse than my fighter at that relevant skill, will my fighter's skill go down or just remain the same. Same for sparring, if I have boxer who has a "wonderful" punches, and I spar boxing with other fighters who only have a star or two, will my fighters boxing and punches skills get worse? Cheers.
  15. So, I got a problem. Yesterday I bought VIP status. And, as you would, I immediately started my own company, a gym. Somehow, I was under the impression that with a company it would be fairly easy to generate some good income, as all the managers whose profiles I have been on had millions in cash, and of course most gym memberships cost 1000$ a week (more than any of my fighters can afford for more than a couple of weeks). So I started my own gym and borrowed 50.000$. That was only yesterday, so it's still early days. But I am starting to think that my business model may have been flawed, and it might not have been a great idea to start a gym and hire coaches on a Thursday as that meant I had to pay them twice in two days (I think). Anyway, half of those 50.000$ are gone and unless I find a bunch of new members in the next three weeks or so, I will be broke. Now, naively, I figured going bankrupt wouldn't be too much of a problem, as the worst thing that could happen is me losing my gym. I thought that, as in the real world, my business' debt wouldn't affect my personal funds. I didn't realize that, if I can't pay off that company's debt, I might actually lose VIP status (you know, the one I just bought yesterday!). So, any advice? For instance, my gym currently has 50,000$ in debt and about half that in cash. What happens if I just close that gym now? Will I still have to pay off the 50,000$, using my manager's personal funds, or the debt minus my gyms remaining cash? Or, possibly, will the debt just disappear together with the business? By the way, even though, I just started that gym, I don't think my business will turn around any time soon. I thought I had a good idea how to run a fairly cheap gym while still having elite coaches. Now I realize, there a couple of other gyms in town who are doing a better job at that ... Any suggestion welcome!
  16. Never mind! I'm just a dummy! Turns out, the stars aren't actually the overall skill but the sparring skill (whatever those are good for). The aforementioned fighter's overall BJJ skil has actually improved! Duh!
  17. Training specific vs. overall skills Hi everyone, when I was getting started with MMA Tycoon, I read somewhere in this forum (or at least I thought I did) that training a specific skill will also have a positive effect on the overall skill associated with that specific skill. So I thought I was being extra clever having my BJJ expert training nothing but submissions and transitions (besides cardio), thinking that that would eventually move up his overall BJJ skill. Now it seems that fighter's overall BJJ skill has actually LOST a star (so he's still got the same belt)! And on the wiki page it doesn't say anything about training specific skills also improving overall skills. So please somebody explain to me how this works.
  18. Hi guys, after I just accepted a fight offer for one of my fighters, I saw that the fight is not in my fighter's weight class. He's a light heavyweight and the fight is against a heavyweight. So now I really don't want my fighter to fight a guy who is 50 pounds heavier. The fight is still "under offer" as the other guy hasn't accepted it yet. Can I still get out of that fight? Cheers.
  19. Thank you! I thought those were other people's bets ...
