K1 was shady tho. Kept changing the rules to favor certain fighters. Typical jfight fuckery. I really miss that dj from K1 dynamite though. Where all my warcraft fans at?

What attributes can contribute in being a good MMA fighter?

In my experience it helps to have sharp blades where your arms are supposed to be -
What is the most humiliating defeat in MMA history? Pick one

I'm disappointed that no one knew the correct answer - Danny Lafever Vs Benji Radach. A legit MMA fighter losing to someone who was just a dude. This fight encompasses Danny Lafever's entire 13 second MMA career. https://www.sherdog.com/news/articles/8/Sherdogs-Top-10-MMA-Upsets-53453 Runner ups include most of UFC 1-3 (like when Random Task got his balls punched to death) and anyone who lost to some big fat asshole by smother in Pride or K1 -

What MMA promotions do you follow (0ther than UFC)?

Haha how shit was that Bellator show with fader vs bader Bellator: Not legit enough to compete with UFC, not wacky and fun enough to compete with the likes of KSW -
Hi all, Quit the game a while back (real life beckons) but my 2 million in game dollars are just sitting there doing nothing. Let's figure out something to do with it to make things interesting. I'm thinking give it to some new VIPS, give it to an org that will make it a big tournament cash prize or something like that. Any fun ideas?

Yeah I'm a real "glass half full" type of guy

Looks more like a "let's try and get a training video to go viral" attempt which was .... somewhat successful?

So I guess no one remembers stuff like Shamrock Ortiz 1-3... Ok. Let's all pretend Brock Lesnar was the first pro wrestling spectacle in the UFC. There is no room for actual history here.

Remember when Justin Eilers (RIP) fought for the title coming off a loss? It's either not as bad now as you think it is or it never was as good as you think it was.

In Hollywood there's this concept where you have to do "money pictures" so you can do "art pictures." That is, your favorite actor has to do a dumb superhero movie before the studio will let him do his artsy fartsy steampunk shakespeare adaptation. So it is with fights - you get your money "freakshow" fights to appeal to the casuals in the main event and hopefully legit contenders for the hardcores in the co main. If you're patient, everyone gets what they want eventually. This is not to say the new owners aren't shitting the bed, or that there isn't relative lack of compelling fighters (though it's hard to make that case right after that DJ fight) - but this is nothing new. Remember "the golden age of japanese mma," as some call it? That was 90% freak show money fights. Things have improved since the days of Coleman/Takada

It's always amusing to me listening to the old timers tell stories about kayfabe era wrestling - it seems like most of the crowd was not "in on it," but the cops and other officials somehow were.

I think I'm done with MMA as a hardcore fan (at least for the forseeable future) and this was the last straw. Maybe I'll watch the likes of Conor and Joanna fight from time to time but with Jon Jones gone there are very few interesting fighters left in MMA in my opinion. Not enough to maintain my interest and demand my time.

Dana is for sure a top shelf c bomb. He's also the only person in the entire world with experience running a successful mma league of this scale. Isn't that weird to think about?

What happens to boxing if McGregor wins?
TAYNE replied to Revheat's topic in General MMA / UFC Forum
It wouldn't do anything to existing fans but it would make it harder to convince new fans to watch in the immediate and distant future. Boxing has enough problems with that as it is. -
He can make a guy cut weight or fight in a different division. He couldn't make Ronda Rousey grow a penis and no i don't want to see that gif with her and dana The more relevant counterpoint is that his best friends don't own the company anymore
