  1. EVO 249: Hess vs Maldini Preview http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/13976539209288.pnghttp://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/13947262519958.jpg "That fat mess is going to sleep in round 4"- Maldini And for the second EVO card this week, here is Timqwe with the preview: Phol Hunt (31-5-0) vs Adrian Shota (21-7-1) – 185lbs Phol “One Punch” Hunt, is one of those guys that you can't believe he isn't champion. The man has been champion in three different organisations already. One of these titles was the EVO championship, but he lost that at EVO 237 against nemesis Rockmetteler Todd. After that, the 32-year old striker beat Jalovaara by late TKO and edged out a split decision against Samusovias. He's looking to get another chot at champion Todd, but since he's 0-2 against the champ, he'll need a mighty impressive performance. His opponent is the Senegalian Muay Thai specialist Adrian Shota. Shota is making his debut at EVO, coming from the now defunct Ultimate Proving Grounds. There he was the last middleweight champion, having not lost a fight in his last six fights. He'l want to make an impact in his debut, and scoring an impressive win over the former champion might make give him the possibility to add another title to his resume. Joe Frazier (38-17-1) vs Rocky McColgan (31-8-0) – 265lbs Fireworks in the heavyweight decision up next. Grizzled veteran Joe Frazier takes on the brawler Rocky McColgan. Joe Frazier has been with Evolution for what seems like forever, making his EVO debut at EVO 151, twenty fights ago. In the time he was with EVO, he managed to win the Heavyweight title against Apollo Gutz, but failed to defend it against Guiseppe Maldini. After that, he went on a 3-fight win streak, before losing his last fight against that same Maldini. The 37-year old will look to proof that, besides his doubters, he isn't done yet, and still has a run in him. Fireworks are guarenteed with his opponent of the night: 31-year old Rocky McColgan from Ireland. McColgan is a smaller heavyweight, weighin in at 244 pounds. Despite his smaller frame, “Cocky” has some impressive strength, dominating opponents in the clinch. The man has been a champion all his life, winning the BEEF Heavyweight title in only seventh fight, and being in a total of 17 titel fights in his life. His last one didn't go his way though, losing against Brick Tires, what started of a three fight losing streak. He bounced back knocking out Marailov just before the end of the first round, and will try to do the same to Frazier, to come one step closer to what he believes is rightfully his. Taisto Perälä (20-7-0) vs Nikolai Luzhin (20-5-1) – 170lbs title The first title of three is up next. Perälä hasn't been increddibly buzy with the title these days, opting for superfights instead. After winning the title from Conan at EVO Undisputed 2016, he went on to retain it against Nada at EVO 241. In the same time, he also went on to have superfights with Bjorn Helgi and #1 rank lightweight Ricki Rocker, ending both fights in losing fashion. The only 26-year old kickboxer will try to prove against Luzhin that he's still one of the best welterweights in the world. Luzhin is getting a titleshot straight away in his EVO debut. Not an unwarrented shot though. Luzhin is the former UPG champion, and has not lost a fight in UPG, going on a five fight win streak. The 31-year old Ukrainian has the striking skills to match Perälä and posses some very deadly knees in the clinch. Expect this one to be a war. Hector Camacho (30-6-0) vs Ozzy McKane (23-5-0) – 155lbs title The second of three title fights is up next. Camacho has looked very impressive in his EVO run. He won the title in his debut, and hasn't let go of it since, only losing a superfight against Connemara. Camacho prefers to limit all danger, using his allround skillset to either keep his opponent at range, or grind him up on the ground, coasting to a decision. Going to the ground might not be the best idea against McKane though. The Irish black belt has racked up eight submission wins in his career. He's coming over from Trinity, where he was a three time champion, as well as the reigning champion. Also winning the Evolution championship, might make him one of the greatest lightweights of all time. Jon Hess (27-12-0 MMA, 15-2-0 KT) vs Giuseppe Maldini (32-19-0) – 265lbs title Two heavyweights with a lot of fights under their belt go at it in the main event of the night. While both being 34, they already have a combined total of 108 fights. Hess hasn't been that long in EVO yet, but it only took him three fights to get to champion Brick Tires and defeat him by TKO. Hess sports some impressive power, finishing all his wins by (T)KO and is probably the best pure striker at heavyweight, maybe even in the whole world. Maldini is no slouch in the striking department either though. The former champion is very powerfull, and always stays dangerous. He throws a very low volume of strikes, opting to keep his opponent at bay, until he can hit him with that one big shot. Faced, against the on paper better striker Hess, he might do something we rarely see though, and see him utilese his black belt. No love lost between Maldini and his opponent too, as Maldini called him “a fat mess” on buzz, and predicted that he “would go to sleep in round 4”. Watch EVO 249 tonight, to see if he follows up on his words.

  3. As previously discussed the Olympics will now be held to try and coincide with the OTY awards. This year we have seen some top tier orgs merge with top orgs leaving a gap in the market for new orgs to rise in their place. After much discussion with various managers around the tycoon community we have decided to offer three ID orgs a chance to compete at the Olympics this year. All three ID orgs are on the verge of ditching their ID restrictions or already have and between them have the best prospects the game has to offer. This also gives these ID orgs a chance to run PPV's which will increase the competition and increase their funds dramatically. The orgs involved shall be Claymore Elite Combat Evolution Insanity Montreal Fight Night Synchronicity Troid Team Thomas Fight Club Ultimate Proving Grounds As before every org will host one division which will be selected at random to ensure that each org has a fair shot at getting one of the more desirable divisions. Each org will send one fighter from each weight class 135-265+. Orgs may outsource a fighter from another org if they do not have a fighter who meets the right weight/p4p restriction. All fighters entered must be in the top 1000 p4p and must have at least one fight inside the org they are fighting in (unless an outsourced fighter). The weight restrictions are as follows (PLEASE READ THIS) 135 = 135 pounds or above. 145 = 145 pounds or above. 155 = 155 pounds or above. 170 = 170 pounds or above. 185 = 185 pounds or above. 205 = 205 pounds or above. 265 = 230 pounds or above. 265+ = 250 pounds or above. No fighter under these weight limits will be allowed to compete under any circumstances. Fighters may go on weight gain or weight loss in order to make weight, however the weight must be made prior to the first fight taking place, if weight is not made then the fighter shall be disqualified and the opponent will go through to the next round. The points system is as follows Gold = 4 Silver = 3 Bronze = 2 4th = 1 5-8th = 0 The prize fund is as follows 1st = 500K 2nd = 350k 3rd = 150k 4-8 = 0 The host org is responsible to pay the fighters this prize money. The contracts for the tournament are 15k-15k. We are shooting for a start date on either the 16th or 23rd of November. Orgs should try to get there team lists in by the end of October.
  4. Who do you guys think is the greatest fighter of all time? If you want you can separate by saying: Best Submission artist, Best wrestler, Best Knockout machine, etc.
  5. Who do you guys think are the most underrated fighters in MMA Tycoon history? I for one think that Tor Nansen and YB Sol are kind of forgotten greats.
  6. http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/company/logo/1421260404havoc%20logo.png Just wanted to give an update as there is a lot of happenings going on in the org. With all the chaos slowing down we want to update everyone on the org and whats has happened and what is in the pipeline Firstly, we have completed the merger of La Grande Promotions into Havoc. There are a number of new fighters in the divisions and we hope they will provide some fresh competition for everyone. This was a great addition with is also adding Dean La grande to the staff which will add to the great manager we have helping to make this the best place to be On the topic of mergers, we have another one happening as former Island org Executioner Fighting Championships will be merging into us also. They have a number of top fighters we hope to sign, and again, this will only provide more depth to our org to ensure we can provide the best competition possible at 260k. After a while negotiating with JJ Tycooner and losing we finally can get Executioner in on the action and bring all there great fighters to the batch we already have here. We will insure we have a great in depth look into the whole org and make sure no one gets forgotten and they stay where they are. Last, but most certainly not least, we have some extremely exciting news regarding Havoc's future. As you all know, EVOLUTION is one of the biggest orgs in the game, regularly being the #1 ranked org in the world. They have built up a connection with 210k ID org Troid EP, and we are excited to say that we are now also involved in that partnership. We will be provided support by both Evo and Troid EP in the future, and our fighters will be free to move between these orgs when they feel ready, with Troid EP and EVO both there to support our biggest fighters in their careers. This ensures our future as an org, as the majority of ID orgs fail when moving forward due to a lack of support. However, with 2 top orgs to support us, we feel this means we will be the best org available in our ID range, and be able to move forward a lot quicker. If anybody has any questions regarding this update, feel free to PM me and I will respond as soon as I can.
  7. http://mmatycoon.com/images/company/logo/1415204146k2o7wm.jpg Evolution presents HALL OF FAME 2015 Inductees Good evening everyone, and welcome to the induction of two great fighters into the Evolution Hall of Fame. There are 14 fighters in the Hall of Fame so far, among them such great names like Otso Jokinen and Mitchell Stehling. These two fighters have actually competed against each other in the past, and now they are here again to take their place among the gods. Our first inductee is one of the best fighters in the world today, and has previously been called the GOAT. The following are his accomplishments so far in his MMA Tycoon career: #1 P4P Fighter New Generation Fighters (NGF) Hall of Fame member Former NGF Heavyweight Champion Former NGF Super Heavyweight Champion Tycoon Summer Olympics Bronze Medallist Tycoon Winter Olympics Gold Medallist Former EVO Heavyweight Champion Current EVO Super Heavyweight Champion 3 Fight of the Night awards 9 KO Of The Night awards Fight of the Year 2014 winner Super Heavyweight Fighter of the Year 2014 Fighter of the Year 2014 Current MMA Record: 40-6-0 Of course, there is only one man we can be talking about and now we would like to take you through the career of the man known as…… http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/3/3w1.jpg RINKY “THE GANGSTER” SPIDER Early Career Rinky Spider was spotted by Bowser BigDog early on, and spotting his potential, Bowser signed him up and had him take part in a test fight. Showing great prowess, Spider knocked out his opponent, Muhammed Jolly, within 3 minutes, and also showed he had a Granite Chin, thereby influencing Bowser to keep him signed on. He took part in a fight at SPFT, KO’ing his opponent, Rick James, in just 45 seconds to really started having people talk about his potential. He would then sign with the org where he would start to build his reputation, New Generation Fighters. New Kid at New Generation Fighters Following his signing to NGF, Rinky would have his first fight at NGF Fight Night 6. He took on Petr Jakovlev, another young fighter with an undefeated record. It wouldn’t last long however, as Spider ended him with a brutal head kick midway into the first round to announce his arrival, as he was awarded the KO of the Night award. He would win his next three fights in a row, all via (T)KO within 2 rounds. This would set up a title shot against Sam Winchester (Now known as Alojz Cerny), in a fight between two of the hottest prospects in the division. Despite a hard fought battle, Spider would be unable to finish Winchester, and would lose the judge’s decision to mark his first defeat in MMA. Despite the loss, Spider rose to the challenge of climbing the ladder again to the top, defeating Firco Nowack in his next fight with an incredible Spinning Backfist KO in the first round. He followed that up with a TKO (Cut) win over Carlos Quintana (Now known as Carlos Cutwood) to earn another shot at the gold. This time he would be competing against Polish Engineer for the belt, and he would finally capture the title with a TKO (Strikes) victory at 2.20 of the first round. The Next Big Thing After capturing the gold, many had claimed Rinky was the next big star in MMA. In order to live up to those claims however, he would need to keep the momentum on his side. This would start with defending the belt against the first man to defeat him, Sam Winchester. In a shock, Rinky would end the fight within a minute, finishing Winchester off with a Head Kick to retain his title, and earn the KO of the Night award. He would suffer setback in his next bout however, dropping the title to Wei Pei, and suffering his first TKO loss in his career. He would battle Vadim Kalashnikov in his next bout, showing typical Spider attacking by winning via KO (Head Kick) in the first round to earn another title shot. This time however, he would be facing Shavo Odin for the Super Heavyweight belt, and like before, he would win the title via TKO (Strikes), albeit in the second round this time. He would then take part in a supercard being organised by Immortals NY, as he took on and defeated Tobias Larsson. Upon his return to NGF, he Karol Cropp in a non-title bout. He would go on to defeat Samson Miodek and Wei Pei in title defences, before making the jump to Evolution. Early Days at Evolution After making the jump to Evo’s Super Heavyweight division, Spider suddenly found himself in shark infested waters, with everyone wanting a piece of him. He would challenge for the title in his debut, losing to Neo Kable. He would lose two fights in a row for the first, and only, time in his career in his next bout as he dropped a decision victory to Liro Tolonen in an Evo vs Ascension event. He would then go on a tear, picking up 5 wins in a row in Evo, capturing the Super Heavyweight title, and avenging the two losses to Kable and Tolonen. He would then go on to represent Evolution in the Tycoon Olympics, which involved some of the biggest orgs in MMA Tycoon. He would pick up a win in the first round against James Proudstar via TKO (Strikes) in the 5th round, in a fight which was voted the Fight Of The Year 2014. A loss to Ghengis Congo would follow in the next round however, and Spider would then find himself competing against Emeka Shakur for the Bronze Medal. Spider would claim the victory, courtesy of a doctor’s stoppage due to a nasty cut being opened on Shakur. This victory would really show he had arrived on the world stage, and many had him pegged as the new poster boy for Evo. Dominance in Evolution Spider’s reputation was becoming such that people believed he was going to be the best fighter in the world. Well, following his Bronze Medal, he continued his strive for greatness, as he defended his title against Bas Severn successfully. He would follow up that with successful title defences against Antonio Manoel, Leonardo Ferreira and Ernesto Oliveira. Following these successes, he would take part in a clash with Simon Williams for the Heavyweight title. With the Super Heavyweight title secured, this was a chance for Rinky to display his dominance of the heavier weights and unify the two titles. He would do that, and in dominant fashion with a first round TKO victory. From there, he took a one fight deal with Team Thomas Fight Club, defeating Daniel Silva in the first round. From there, he would return to Evo to defend his title once in the Super Heavyweight division, as he beat Declan Sweeney via Unanimous Decision to retain his crown. From there he would represent Evo in the Tycoon Winter Olympics, and in his first round match up, he defeated Jon Hess in a high profile fight which further showed Rinky’s dominance of the heavier divisions. A hard fought battle with Codi Gale would follow in the Semi Finals. but Rinky would again end it with a head kick late in the 5th round. He would contest the finals against Yeo Jae Suk, and would finish him with a second round TKO finish to claim the Gold medal to go with the Bronze he won in the Summer Olympics. Return to Evo This next part brings us up to the present day Rinky Spider. After claiming Gold, he returned to Evo again to defend his titles. He took on Vyacheslav Kalashnikov, twin brother of Vadim Kalashnikov who Rinky defeated early in his career, in a bout for the title. Rinky made light work of him, forcing Vyacheslav to submit to strikes early in the second round. His next fight would see him take on Bo Juggernaut, Ascension’s Heavyweight champion. In what was becoming a common theme for his career, Rinky won the fight and made it look relatively easy with a KO (Punch) victory in the second round. The next fight however, was to be one that would change Rinky’s career. In a highly anticipated clash between the rosters of Bowser BigDog and Dean Sutherland, Rinky Spider was slated to fight a former foe in Leonardo Ferreira. Rinky had defeated Ferreira previously, but that was under Choose Life’s (Mannetosen) management. Now that Ferreira was under Sutherland’s, there was an air of unpredictability coming into the bout. Sutherland claimed he would go 10-0 in the entire event, and claimed he felt supremely confident in winning, as did Bowser BigDog when asked about his thoughts on the bout. When it came to the fight, the world was shocked as Rinky Spider’s 13 fight win streak was snapped via Unanimous Decision, as he lost the Heavyweight championship. However, rather than sulk in the corner, Spider got right back into the action, defending his Super Heavyweight title successfully against Tiny McGee. Following this was a superfight of sorts with CEC champion Rocky Tyson, a fight Rinky continued his comeback with, scoring a first round TKO. He would then defend his Evo title against Rau Utu, and got a rarity when he didn’t win due to a finish, but rather a Doctor’s stoppage as he scored a TKO (Cut) win in the second round. A trip to Aggressive Damage followed, as he scored a quick first round KO against Cinder Smaug. His last fight saw him defend his title against Rockford Knight, and he saw out a Unanimous Decision win to leave him at 40-6-0 in his career, and rocked atop the mountain at #1 P4P. He is next scheduled to face Varg Velde, in a bout which could have implications of a rematch with Leonardo Ferreira should he be able to win. With the career behind him, Rinky Spider is truly one of the best fighters in MMA Tycoon history, and he now takes his place deservingly in the Evolution Hall of Fame! Next Inductee to follow soon…

  10. My fighter Vlad has a fight booked against the number two ranked 170lbs fighter in the world and one of the biggest names in the MMA world , Johny Fantastic. It's certainly my biggest fight ever ! What do you guys expect from this fight? Who will win, how , and why do you think that?
  11. I'm happy to announce that a top 10 ranked fighter in Vlad's weightclass has accepted his challenge. The fight is booked and set to take place next week. Vlad is coming over to his opponent's org for a non-title fight as he will return to EVO after the fight. This is going to be my highest ranked opponent ever with any of my fighters, so fights like these is what I'm here for. I want to test my fighters and myself. I want to thank Austin Setright for willing to take the fight. We all know that hype is a big factor in this game, so taking this fight is riskier for him than for me. Hats of to him for that! My opinion is that Vlad is the underdog due to the elite ranking of Chelios and the fact that he is on a 9 fight winning streak with the 8 last fights being all (t)KO finishes. But make no mistake, I'm here to give Chelios the fight of a lifetime and try to upset him and stop his crazy winning streak. Vote on the poll and comment on this thread your opinion
  12. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/13979868424403.png Leonardo "Voodoo Child" Ferreira, Q + A Leonardo Ferreira is a man on a mission. After losing his chance at Olympic gold in a close fight with Rocky Tyson, he finds himself back at EVO welcoming newcomer Thor Skarsgard, a man who is known for his KO power. Leo himself is known for a deadly MT attack and the power he carries in his fists and feet. After switching managers, he has gone 5-1 under Dean Sutherland, a world renowned manager who brings the best out of his fighters. I had the chance to sit down with him and ask him a few questions about his upcoming fight and his future. Reporter - You came so close to winning the Gold medal at the Winter Olympics, eventually losing a back and forth war with Rocky Tyson. Are you a man set on redemption, to prove you are the best heavyweight around? Leo – I wouldn’t mind another shot at Rocky. I am a big believer in you have to beat the man to be the man, Brick was the man and I kicked his ass, Rocky in turn kicked my ass, so now I guess you could say I want another shot at Rocky but chances are my stable mate Hamish is gonna tool him first. Reporter - After leaving Mannetosen’s management, many wondered where you would end up. You ended up in the hands of elite manager Dean Sutherland. How do you feel being in his roster has benefited you? Leo – I was gutted that Tosen decided to up and leave, so I convinced Dean to come back and take in some of his roster. A lot of his roster was scared they could end up at inferior alliances such as BHP, so we took a poll and most of the talented fighters ended up going with Dean. As far as benefits, not much different from Mannetosen’s style, he lets us do our own thing and we go out and rack up the wins. Reporter - You are a fighter known for his relentless attack on the feet combined with KO power you make for a dangerous man for anyone. Where do you feel you can beat Skarsgard? Leo - At scrabble, I happen to know he cannot pronounce or spell words with over six letters, after I am through with him he will be lucky to spell words with over four letters. Reporter - Before leaving for the Winter Olympics, you had a 4 fight winning streak in EVO. Do you feel that with a win over Skargard you will be getting the next shot at Rinky Spider, a man whom has bested you once before for the title? Leo - Meh, I couldn’t care less about Rinky to be honest nor any of Bowsers stable. I am 2-1 up against him personally and Dean is 2-1 up against him also. We have nothing left to prove. Reporter - If a rematch with Rinky was to happen, are you now confident you has what it takes to beat him? After all you beat his stable-mate Brick Tires in convincing fashion. Are you out for Rinky’s blood? Leo – As before I ain’t interested in fighting Rinky, Brick or anyone else in Bowsers stable. I have my eyes set on Rocky Tyson; he was an awesome competitor and have nothing but love for the man after the war we produced in the Olympics. This time I have a feeling he will be out cold. Reporter - You have a burning desire to seek revenge on Rocky Tyson. Do you feel EVO will be able to bring him over for a rematch with yourself, or will you have to hunt him down and go to CEC? Leo – Either or, Gus and Jug are both good friends of mine and I know both of them can come to an agreement if needs be, shit if it comes down to it I only have two fights left on my contract. I can kick ass twice and go to CEC to force the issue. 7 – Thank you for your time, is there anything else you would like to add? Leo - If you clinch me; I’ll submit you. If you stand up and fight; I’ll knock you out. Do us all a favour and just miss your jet flight. It will save you a lot of grief and brain damage, this is the big leagues. There you have it folks, the man wants to fight the man who bested him at the Olympics, Rocky Tyson. Be sure to check out Leo's fight on the 7th of February against Thor Skarsgard, his interview is coming soon!. Who do you feel will win the fight?
  13. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/13964199518825.jpg "The Raging Cockstorm" Johnny Fantastic – Q + A Johnny Fantastic is 9-1 over his last 10 with 6 of those wins from KO. The man packs a punch and that has led him to EVO, where the mightiest fighters ply their trade. Fighting for the NGF made him one of the best welterweights around, with the fall of NGF he found a home in EVO. After winning his EVO debut via KO he finds himself matched up against the champion and #1 in the weight class, Bowser Stormcrow. Not many men can boast of beating Stormcrow and not many can boast of beating Fantastic. #1 and #2 in the weight class face of in EVO, it’s sure to live up to its potential. I had the chance to speak to the charismatic Johnny Fantastic to ask him a few questions about the fight. Reporter - First of all, before I ask any questions about the fight. I feel I must ask about your unusual nickname. How did you become known as “The Raging Cockstorm”? Alright, hi there. The nickname, um, that is from my movie career. You know I did some adult work before my MMA career, and I think the name came because I might have knocked a few girls out by swingin my... um, "thing", a bit too wildly. And I have a bit of a short fuse, as evident how my film career ended, so that's about it. Reporter - You are fighting #2 p4p and #1 welterweight, Bowser Stormcrow. How do you see the fight playing out? Bowser seems like a one tough motherfucker. He fought a friend and training buddy Brutaali Keijo a few years ago and beat him so I somewhat know what to expect. He's a solid striker and a decent grappler which pretty much sums up what I am, though I think I have a slight edge on wrestling experience.. So it's going to be an exciting fight, I'm sure. Reporter - One thing that separates you from your opponent is you finishing ability. You have recorded most of your wins via (T)KO. Do you think your KO power is your best attribute? I think it is. Separating your opponent from his senses is a great way of ending the fight and when you're good at it you can go far in this game. I know I can knock out most everyone they but infront of me as long as I can touch them. Bowser's a durable dude though, so it might take more than just connecting with his chin to beat him. Reporter - You are fighting for the EVO championship, and a chance at becoming the best welterweight on the planet. If you win this fight what do you see yourself doing afterwards? Just defend the title. I'm sure Bowser would want an instant rematch in the case I beat him, and he's been so good for so long that he probably would deserve it. But there is a lot of tough guy's out there. Just line them up and I'll knock them out. Just make sure they come one at a time so there won't be any pile ups. Reporter - Thank you for taking time out to answer these questions, is there anything else you would like to add? Thanks for having me, and just tune up for the fight. I'm sure it'll be a great one. There we have it. The confident person that Fantastic is, he believes he can do anything in MMA. He certainly has a tough task ahead with Bowser Stormcrow. Be sure to check out their fight on the 28th and to vote who you think will win.
  14. Greetings fight fans, we are here to to take a moment and look back and celebrate the career of one of the greatest fighters to make his mark on the Tycoon world in Sydney and abroad. This modern day warrior began his career fighting in mid tier Sydney based Orgs SEC & RCS before stepping foot in an AXF/BDU/Syndicate fight cage. It is very surprising to learn that when Dee first took interest in the world of MMA it was because he had gotten a job as a sparring partner at his local gym. Dee reflects back on that time in his life... Tweedle Dee: "I went to the gym for a job. I was a good wrestler in high school and saw an add in the paper for a sparring partner. I never dreamed I would ever find myself in a main event." Bawon Samedi, a mainstay in the Sydney fight scenes talks about watching his young protege Bawon Samedi: "I was a new manager just setting up a gym. I needed some guys to help spar with my fighters. Dee and his bother Dum came into my gym to help my fighters work on their wrestling. But Dee took an interest in some of the striking and picked it up fairly fast. I was lucky enough to get him a scholarship at an established gym run by a big name manager. Dee has been my best, I am sad to see him go." When looking back at the early days Tweedle Dee seemed destined for greatness as he began his Pro career on a torrid 10 fight win streak before running into former Sydney legend Kha Ri early in 2012. Dee's win streak was enough to earn him a shot at then Sydney's top prize in the Middleweight division as he battle for the AXF Gold. This fight unfortunately did not go the way he had hoped, or planned I am sure however it was nothing short of entertaining for the 18063 fans in attendance in Sydney's Superdome as Kha Ri and Tweedle Dee battled for 5 rounds ending in a unanimous decision in favor of Champ Kha Ri. We caught up with both Kha Ri and his former manager Feyd Harko to get some thoughts on Dee... Kha Ri : I remember well that Dee was from Sydney like myself. At the time, I already had a decent amount of fights, but there was a handful of youngs guns who were supposed to be the next big thing... Dee was amongst them, and the most hyped of them all. Kha Ri : His resumé was already impressive, but i knew i had the skills to beat him, and most of all the experience he didn't have... plus at the time, i wasn't that old (laughs). But seriously, i knew i had a tough challenge in front of me and was prepared for a war. Feyd takes a moment to give us some thoughts on preparations for their encounter with Dee... Harko : We knew he'd want the takedown... the plan was to break him, put his confidence to the test once he'd realize that for the first time, he couldn't control where the fight took place. If you rewatch that fight, that's exactly what happened. Dee still put on a great fight in the standup, but Ri managed to lands the better blows. Dee on Kha Ri - "Ri was a big fight for me. AXF was the place to be in Sydney and here I was fighting for one of its belts. I gave him everything I had. But his experience and skill was more than I was ready for." Following their initial battle these 2 warriors once again found themselves face to face a mere 2 months later ready, willing and able to go to war... Harko : We were as confident, but we were prepared for Dee to bring hell this time : suffering the first loss of your career changes a fighter for better or worse, and Tweedle showed after that first fight that he learned a lot of lessons and was coming back better than ever. Ri : The gameplan stayed the same, but it was much harder this time : Dee really didn't want to suffer another loss! (laughs). At the end of it, I honestly didn't know who won, and honestly, after such a great fight, i almost didn't care (laughs) ...it could have gone either way. After 2 hard fought decision victories we aksed Kha Ri if in his opinion, had he faced a tougher opponent during his career? Ri : I've had a storied career and a handful of losses, but in early 2012, Dee and I were the shit, the two best fighters from Sydney... He was definitely the hungriest of my opponents, and i was hoping to face him a 3rd time, but it never happened. Kha Ri also took time to reflect on the great career Dee has enjoyed... Ri : I remember he had a bad streak after our 2nd fight, but those were really close fights... he managed to rebound in a beautiful fashion and became the superstar we all know now. Being able to pull yourself back together after a few tough losses and beat the shit out of your opponents for such a long time after that is something i respect. Following the second hard fought loss to Ri Dee went on a bit of a tailspin failing to achieve a victory in his next 3 fights, leaving him winless in 4 and 5 out of 7 without a W would likely send most fighters off into the sunset but Dee took a month off, focused on what made him successful and went on a run in Syndicate that saw him win 7 of 8 fights including 2 against verteran Oswaldo Sanchez. We were able to catch up with Sanchez to get his thoughts on Dee and his 2 cracks at him in the Syndicate Cage... Sanchez: Going into the first fight I knew it was going to be a real battle, he was young, hungry and well rounded which makes for a great combination. I knew it was going to be one of the toughest fights of my career and that proved to be the case. The first fight was close, it was pretty competitive striking, if anything I just managed to edge it but the takedowns made the difference and gave him the nod on the judges scorecard. I knew in the second I couldn't go in there simply trying to outpoint him and tried to push the pace and be more aggressive, unfortunately I guess I underestimated his power and got caught, but hey, it happens. Following their second fight Sanchez talks about what he learned and took away from the matchup... Sanchez: I guess I took some positives out of it, it made me realise that in this day and age you need more tools to your game, and can't just keep going into fights with a similiar stand and bang strategy, I learned that I needed to evolve my game and start mixing it up more. Sanchez then took a moment to reflect on the amazing run Dee went on following the first round victory over himself and was followed up when he represented Sydney in the inaugural ITFL tourney followed up by of course a quick jab... Sanchez: I've got to be honest and say it surprised me, I knew he was a good fighter but for anyone to pull that sort of run off against quality competition is nothing short of incredible, fair play to him, although it was nice to see my buddy Veron be the one to put an end to it. Dee on Sanchez - "I was coming out of a slump and really needed to get some momentum. I was very happy to get the decision in the first fight. It really could have gone either way. But I think the only person more surprised than I was with the second fight TKO victory was Sanchez. After that win I really started to believe in myself." As stated above, the second victory by Dee began a run achieved by very few in the MMA world as Tweedle Dee took the ITFL by storm, defeating 14 consecutive fighters, a display of success many would not have been able to predict or even imagine. Along the way Dee ran into a man believed by many to be the butt of all jokes, a man who knew how to talk the talk but when it came time to walk the walk, he preferred to go nighty night. Yes if you havent figured this puzzle out by now, it is the one and only Artie Lange we are describing and lets just say he had some choice words to share with us...We asked Lange prior to his meeting during week ten of ITFL he had boldly predicted a loss for Dee ending his winning streak during the tourney, so we wondered just how silly did he felt when he through up a goose egg and the ref had to jump in to save save him? His response is nothing short of expected, and fueled by ludicris acusations Lange: The fuck you talking about man? Are you high right now, or maybe you've been heavily drinking. Dee is a bum and all he wanted to do in that fight was dry hump me into the canvas. Yea the fight ended with him being awarded the TKO victory but if you watch the replay you'll clearly see the vaseline he had rubbed all over his dick had managed to make its way to the mat. He didn't connect with a punch that knocked me down, I fucking slipped on that spot of vaseline! I cracked my head so hard I thought Dee was one of my usual escorts when he mounted me. That's why I wasn't fighting back or defending myself, Champange likes it a little rough from on top. By the time I realized what was going on I had already finished and the ref was calling the bullshit stoppage. Following the second round stoppage, amazingly Lange was much quieter then he had been in the lead up to their encounter, which was not unexpected however Lange has different ideas, unbelievable reasoning I might add on why that was the case... Lange: The only reason I was fucking quiet was due to the fact that Dee, pretty much, brought me to climax. Next question. We tried our best to reason with Lange, almost begging him to be honest with not only the fans but most importantly himself in regards to admiting he really had no shot in his fight with Dee... Lange: A shot? Are you fucking kidding me? I was well on my way to winning that fight bro. Dee was able to take me down in the first round and hold me there but without the vaseline slip in the second, which by the way happened when he was trying to dry hump me in the first, I was just about to expose that chump with my devastating power. Ask Antonio Hong about what these babies can do. *Lange kisses his fists and looks at them lovingly* We decided to end our interview with Lange with one final, yet very explosive question, asking Lange if the rumours were true that in comparison to his mediocre career Dee's success made him violently jealous and ultimately led to his retirement as he was unable to focus on anything but his shortcomings, I still maintain that Lange's bell was rang one too many times as his thoughts always leed in one direction, I am just glad he didnt go screaming "GRAPES" at me while trying top piece his thoughts together... Lange: If my career is your definition of mediocre you're one misinformed motherfucker man. I fought the best of the best bro and make no excuses for my losses. At the end of the day I know I gave it my all each and every time I stepped into that cage, I mean Dee, for example, only has 20 of his 45 wins via knockout. That's not even 50% bro, I finished 15 of my 17 career victories with a knockout which is pushing 90%. You tell me who the better fighter is. That's it I'm done talking about this creepy fucker now. Did I tell you he didn't wear a cup during our bout? I could feel his erection, all covered with vaseline. Still gives me chills. Dee on Lange - "Lange is crazy. I mean the man is certifiable. I don't know why they ever let him out of the cage. Lange is the kind of guy that after KOing you, he goes after your family." Not sure how we are supposed to recover from that display but next we caught up with Juan Sebastien Veron, the man who ended the amazing 18 fight win streak but more importantly ended Dee's dreams of ITFL glory, Veron described his thoughts leading up to and following their epic final battle: Veron: I think in this profession you always have to be confident, if you go into a fight thinking you're going to lose then most likely you will. I certainly wasn't over confident though, I knew from speaking to the likes of Sanchez and watching him myself just how tough it would be, I just know that on my day I'm capable of beating anyone. It was a great moment for me to get a win over such a talented opponent, especially since I don't think anyone really gave me a chance before the fight, so to pull it off was fantastic. Veron also took a moment to discuss the drama that followed his win among participants and managers alike from ITFL including Dee's manager Bawon Samedi... Veron:I don't think it was really disrespect or anything personal, mainly frustration really. It was unfortunate how the ITFL turned out with people dropping out but there was nothing I could do about that. I just wanted to help keep the tournament going and prove my skills on a big stage. Surely nobody wanted to go down the other route of advancing through the tournament with byes, but I totally get the frustration, it did take the gloss off the tournament a little considering I wasn't one of the original entrants. After all was said and done cooler heads prevailed, both fighters careers continued in Syn following ITFL with both men winning titles in their first appearances, we asked Veron did this in your opinion solidify both fighters legacy? I think Dee's legacy was already well and truly solidified at this point, the title victory for him just put an exclamation mark on it. For myself though it was great to add another title to my resume and prove it wasn't just a fluke. All but one of my defeats have been close decisons or stopped by a pesky doctor due to a cut when I'd gladly have continued, I think I've now shown I'm a match for anyone. Dee on Veron - "I let Veron control where the fight took place. Bawon told me to keep the fight standing. He gave me the wrong advise. I think that is why he lost and created a scene after the fight." Samedi on Dee vs. Veron - "I really screwed the pooch on that one. After getting Dee through so many tough opponents I dropped the ball on the biggest fight of his life. Veron is one of the greats, one of the toughest Dee ever faced. But with better advise Dee would have won that fight." Samedi on the forum fiasco - "Two huge mistakes in the same day. It was not the brightest moment in my career. I've learned to stay out of the public eye." Now we fast forward to what has aptly been titled "Curtain Call" as Dee will take his final steps inside an MMA cage and will face current Syn Middle Weight Champ Dragon Slayer, a fellow ITFL allum who much like Dee, has enjoyed many successes following that great tourney. We discussed with Slayer going into the ITFL individual portion you were actually ahead on overall points by 3, at anytime did you hope or even want to face Dee knowing the run he was on? Slayer: I was one of the younger less experienced fighters during ITFL tourney, I knew I had the talent to win the whole thing but was short on the experience and made a mistake in the opening round of the individual portion against Katsuro Sato where I got finished by a guy I just finished 3 weeks earlier. The mistake I made was I was looking to end it early again and let him get a TD and back then my ground game was seriously lacking and it showed. So at that time, Dee wasn't the greatest match up for me and probably was going to try and exploit my lacking ground game. I got hammers for fists and can take out anyone in my opinion and that makes me dangerous regardless on who I fight. Was I going to win or lose at that time? Hard to say as it could have went either way, but dee probably had the advantage at that time especially on the ground. Much like both Tweedle Dee and Juan Sebastien Veron following ITFL Slayer ended up landing in Synchronicity, we wondered aloud if he felt it was inevitable he would one day face Dee in a Syn cage? Slayer: If you plan on being the best, your pretty much going to fight all the best fighters so I expected that sometime our pathes would cross. It was really just a matter of if or when we both where close to each other in ranking at the same time but eventually it was gonna happen. We then posed the question to Slayer when you finally faced off against Dee, you lost the first round but then took over winning rounds 2 and 3 gaining the decision victory, how did defeating a former champion and great fighter like Dee make you feel Slayer: I knew as long as I kept it standing most of the fight, I had a better then average shot at winning. It felt good cause I think a lot of people didn't think I could do it. We concluded our conversation with Slayer by asking him to ponder the following the time is coming up where you will be a part of Dee's final appearance and his retirement fight, are you preparing for this meeting the same as your first or will you be looking at it from a new perspective? Slayer: I have rounded out my fighting style now and feel a ton more comfortable on the ground, so maybe I take him down and let him be on his back some for a change or maybe I just stand and bang with him. I'll make that decision when the bell rings. Dee on Slayer - "I think I was still rocked after facing Charalabous. The first time I faced Slayer. I kept clinching and forgot to follow through to the ground. I am not certain how we will play this upcoming match. Slayer has really rounded out his game. I am just honored to be in the cage with him again. It is a great way to end my career." Dee on Charalabous - "The boy swings anvils. No one has ever hit me that hard." Samedi on Dee retiring - "The boy has had enough. He really takes a beating every time he steps into the cage. If his body could take the punishment I would love to keep him around for another few years. He could have another run at greatness. I learned a lot managing Dee. I brought him in to teach my fighters how to keep the fight on its feet, and Dee taught me how to coach a ground game. We have been through a lot together. It is difficult to let him go."
  15. The James Abraham Talkshow will air sometime today, and we will feature different fighters before they head on their upcoming matches, after their match, or maybe just a simple talk for publicity. For our first episode, we will feature the Evolution Super Heavyweight Champion, quite a big personality for the first episode. Hahaha. See you soon folks!
  16. Written by Brandon Comte We're here live sitting on an EVO based, custom made, modern Zhang Zhoujie couch given to Mega Jug for raising one million dollars for the tibetan monk's civil rights union. In this highly anticipated event (where 75% of it's profits will be invested in housing poor little kids from the favelas without food into residential areas, where they will have the option to be hosted by a family or sent to a high-end fosterhome with free wifi funded by EVO) we will see some of the best fighters in the world fighting eachother. If you are new to MMA, you'll identify the fighters as they will be wearing the traditional convicted diamond bracelet where "swagger" is engraved on the left side and a marijuana leaf is engraved on the right side. Well, aside from this pretentious shit I've been slurring out (they paid me to do it) we have some warriors battling it out that I'd like to speak on but first a few words from our president. Brandon Comte: Hey Mega jug what do you think about the event? We have arguably the best fighter in the history of mixed martial arts in Otso Jokinen facing your man Dumbass McWeakhands who came off of an extremely exciting decision win, demonsrating a whole arsenal of skills in the clinch and his striking was outrageously precise. His opponent Cid never backed down though as he was trading strikes, some people even though he may have won. So my big question is how do you think McWeakhands will take someone unquestionaly better than Cid and take a big leap forward in his illustrious carreer? Mega Jug: First off Brandon, I think this event will be one of the deciding factors in our future, a way to establish ourselves as the unfaltering #1 org in the European Union, and will always be in the Top 3 world wide. It's nearly impossible to determine who's the best when the media is stirring up news about orgs gaining a lot of hype, and in the end the news in unfathomable, but we'll always remain elite in the Top 3, and no media junkie is going to change shit. You see Brandon, I noticed the type writer you carried out of your jet and into your suite (your welcome.) Like you I'm old fashioned, I'm not going to let a bunch of geeks taking over the media, try to take over our well established org based on making people happy and throwing the best tournaments, matching the best fights, preventing us from moving forward. My organization is named EVO, we're young, but we've already established ourselves at the top of the food chain, we're EVOlving, but it's because of our traditional values. Zhang gave me that chair because he thought I was a stand up guy, and that's how people should remain to be, no Miley Cyrus don't twerk. As for McWeakhands, all I need to say is wait and see. This is definitely his toughest fight yet and I know it's going to be a war. Have you ever played chess? Brandon Comte: Yes. Mega Jug: Well think of it this way, there are battles where some fools make a stupid decision early and lose everything, which in MMA would be a TKO (Cut) TKO/KO (Strike) Submission (Strikes) 15 second kimura, whatever it is, this fight isn't going to be that way. I'm sure McWeakhands has come up with a formula to go all 5 rounds and come out a winner and I'm sure the magnificent Otso has one too, which is why I have a gist this fight will end in a decision. Both of our fighters have rediculous armor on and it will be difficult to pierce either. Brandon Comte: Intense yet awesome words from the wizard Mega Jug, now let's get to the fights. Fight 1. Chase Rollins vs Michael Tritter- Sean McDonnel comes to the podium drunk and starts talking about amish parties, "Th.." [Chase cuts him off] That's the beginning of what I experienced in the weigh-ins But I realized that Sean isn't very stressed. Chase Rollins seemed quite enthusiastic when I saw him, he told me that he's hyped because he get's to see the phillies live in the EVO celebrity box if he wins the fight. "ya know, I'm from a lower middle class family, who gives a shit right? I remember when I went to my first game as a kid and caught a homerun from Terry Adams turnin' to the left field!" he was all "boom yadayada" My name is Brandon Comte and I don't understand baseball fans. But yeah he told me he was all prepped for this fight and recently rehabbed his shin so his kicking game is getting better and better, judging from his last fight, that's where he's most efficient. Michael Tritter on the other half is coming off of a win after an extensive amount of losses, however few may say that he mighthave the advantage. I mean if you look at the two records sure you'd give Chase the fight in a heartbeat but Michael Tritter has KO power, and Chase Rollin's chin is iffy. Tritter's chin aint so fly either though, before his last win he had a huge loosing streak all fights coming from knockouts and even one where he tapped on the ground crying. My predicition for this fight would be Chase Rollins by decision, as long as he takes it inside the clinch and avoids getting hit in the face. Fight 2. Luka Beck Vs Riley McCollins- At the weigh-ins I thought Luka Beck was some sort of free Mason and Riley McCollins was just smiling at him. Seems like a fun fight to talk about. but I honestly don't even have any idea of what the outcome is going to be. Luka Beck is coming out of a few losses trying to get back on his feet and looks fit as ever (Think Smeagle from Lord of the rings) with his muscles popping out of his skinny limbs almost breaking skin. Luka pulls out his jump ropes (actual ropes) and does 1000 leaps trying to woo the croud but everyone thought it was a circus act and started laughing. Luka is a well rounded fighter who prefers striking outside of the clinch and he succeeds in it, I remember that one time where he tripped and.... getting carried away. Lukais a wonderful athlete and we'll put most fans in awe and others in... well... "awkward" in that valley girl voice you hear in those coming of age movies during the 90s. Riley McCollins was sort of like a justin Bieber celebrity when he grew up in Ohio, not because of his blonde hair/ baby face look but it's because of his extensive wrestling background as a teenager. He'd get pussay on a good day which is every day for him, even when he loses he says "woah." Maybe i'm making blonde jokes, don't let me do that, I wont stop. Although he was a big wrestler back in his adolescent period (hahaha) he started to train MMA as a whole and used is wrestling for other divices like takedown defense, sustainable clinch, etc. He's become a a fighter, and the girls in Ohio are probably all taking their tops off now, and will send him kisses just in case he loses. Fight 3. Konrad Kurze vs Timmy Smithy- Oh this next matchup has me pumped! I remember smoking cigars with Pepper Valera Vasquez during the old days, shit i'm a bit too sentimental... on with the fights. Konrad Kurze has had a little downfall in EVO's 145 division but now that he dropped weight he's the clear favorite to win the title as long as Timmy Smithy doesn't stop him from achieving his first featherweight win. Timmy Smithy coming out of a few wins coming from the Evil Empire to go face to face against his biggest test, In The Evil Empire Timmy never really had the opportunity to face an elite fighter such as Kurze so this will be his stepping stone to the Elite world in terms of what's around his waste after this fight. If he wins He'll have the belt, if he loses, the belt will haunt him until he gets a rematch and given that it's his first real fight in EVO, a rematch would be distant given that all of the fighters in EVO hold massive amounts of value. Don't miss out on those 500k across charity deals, if you're a winner you're a sinner (for having so much moolah) My prediction for the fight would have to be watching Kurze dissect the veteran Timmy in three of five rounds, the other two , he'll be gutting. Fight 4. Tito Hopkins vs Sven Dufva- Coming out of Team Conquer, Tito Hopkins is going to try to knock Sven Dufva the fuck out (JBomb666 told me to write this… please no references.) Tito is rather an intimidating fellow when you look at him, standing 6'0 tall with a gritty look on his face at all times. 6'0 is rather short but when you stare at his scars he starts to lick his lips which is rather scary. I'm assuming it's some gang gesture he learned in South Central. Tito Hopkins is an experienced knock the fuck out artist who is willing to make a comeback to the ring after he got knocked the fuck out by Enzo Maretti and Sinuhe Egyptian, two people who are making the best of their careers, but you see, the fact that he was on the same level as them and was even qualified to fight them is just incredible. Now with less than 3 weeks of training prior to the upcoming fight he's going up against a monster in Sven Dufva and I'm assuming JBomb666 gave him some FaceTime, brass knuckles and chin plates. If Tito can keep the fight standing and lands his first strikes it can be a serious night for Sven. Sven is also coming off of a loss going into the fight after losing a decision to a more experienced fighter after getting him to the ground and not securing a win out of pure lapse of judgement. Fortunately, he can try to use that strategy because there's no way he'll want to trade with Tito. It's just an opinion from a writer so whatever, but I believe if Sven can get to the ground he'll be able to control and secure a win against Tito. My prediction is Tito Hopkins punching up a prayer, early in the first round for the knockout. (And i'm an atheist) Fight 5. Jules Clement vs Esko Takanen- WOW this fight will be a killer Esko Takanen is used to wearing gold and he proved it in XCC and for a little bit in NFC so you know he has a little history of wearing some pimped out belts. He's not fighting for anything but a title shot and he's made that clear, just look at his illustrious record. We all know that Esko has a diamond chin which is unbreakable and takedown defense which cannot, not, be taken seriously. Jules needs to plan this like a pro. How is he going to get Esko down? Will it be a counter technique or an aggressive technique? Will he even get Esko to the ground? Will he even try? (at this point I'm sort of drunk so beware of my typing prowess) Jules needs to get this fight to the ground or he's screwed in my honest opinion. It's kind of funny because Esko is an amazing knockout artist and is a beast at fighting all the way through, it's like a dropping a panda into a monkey cage where all the panda does is spank the monkeys on the ass. Damn I'm a weirdo for thinking of that metaphor. anyway I'm handing this fight to Esko by decision. Fight 6. Hitmon Lee vs Viacheslav Datsik- I'm no man of wisdom when it comes to these two fighters but you'll see what I can do. Hitmon Lee is a pokemon trying to rule the tycoon world with his incredible kicks? I think not, his name is deceiving because his punches are far better than his kicks and his clinch work is one of a kind so he can do those moves we experienced in the kanto league, The thing is, this right here is what you call a fair fight. Viacheslav Datsik, a Syn' drop-out and Random fighting Phenom (which still doesn't make up for him being a Syn' dropout) has been on a tear recently devouring his three last opponents in exciting fashion, he's definitely a crowed favorite in the MMA game but a hated newcomer to the EVO fan base (I mean it's always great to have an antagonist in the league.) He has the confidence to fight 3 rounds of chess and he'll give it his all debuting here in the bing leagues. I predict Datsik will win by decision. MAIN CARD Fight 7. Theoran Fleury vs Musashimaru Koyo- Now I'm going to be a biased mother fucker (what do you expect from journalists) and give my former alliance mate, Furious Styles, kudos for getting this far. Theoran Fleury touches a chin and it deteriorates- Oscar Whilin'. Musashi better have a good game plan because Theoran has potential without ceiling, Musashi's best bet is to get to the ground and pound the shit out of Theoran before he can even react. I believe this is a very tough fight for both fighters so I'm going to remain undecided even though Theoran's fists are as magical as the book/movie the never ending story. Puffin books mmm mmm mmm. Fight 8. Barney Rubble vs Jorn Anthriel- I vote fight of the night no matter what! Ok these are the types of fights which are titillating to me, to start things off, we have Barney Rubble who has a bedrock chin and then we have Jorn's fucking KO power, what's going on over here? What';s KO power against someone who never got knocked out? Will it work or not? I think Barney needs to take it to the clinch-rock and Jorn needs to take it to the outside, the outcome is unknown until the fight actually happens. Barney Rubble said something funny in his fight interview though, he said "After I rock you I'm gonna make your bed rock when you're not there because I'm fucking your bitch like I fuck betty." My prediction goes to Barney via bedrock Co Main Event Fight 9. Richard Dawkins vs Danny Power- Well this to me is one of the most important fights in EVO history. First off Soyster the manager of Richard Dawkins was talking about retirement a few weeks back but was obviously fooling everybody, you know system clowns around like we all do. Well the Former UCLA and ascension champ is coming back from a loss to Oompa Loompa (arguably the best fighter in the world these days) where even though he lost, he was a ventriloquist in every aspect of the fight until the puppet knocked Dawkins out with his wooden shoe. I don't know, but I think to this day Dawkins is one of the best fighters to step in the game (probably because he's smart) but let's not take anything away from Danny Power. He'll have to work really hard to get the decision win against Danny because let's face it these are two warriors who don't get enough facetime with each other and they'd love to communicate while fighting. They're each other's idols and that's very hard to look for. It's been a while so sometimes people forget that Danny Power was once the EVO champ and even though Richard Dawkins is really hyped these days you have to look at who was shadowing behind him, people don't give Danny enough credit because he was in orgs other than Synchronicity or Pride starting uo. People started adding him on twitter briefly after he won his UCLA title where fans started making posters written "Danny Power Strike." Danny is going to have to keep the fight standing in order to win by knockout or decision, it's just up to Dawkins to find a way to get him on the ground. My prediction goes to Richard Dawkins by submission in the 3rd round, MAIN EVENT Fight X- Otso Jokinen vs Dumbass McWeakhands I think we got most of the predictions in the beginning but let's begin the analysis, Jokinen 69 fghts (sexy) with one KO loss. McWeakhands 60 fights with one KO loss. Who will win? Will it be a decision? Well Otso Jokinen, I'll repeat is one of the top 15 fighters in MMA history If there's a battle for a prize he wins it, I literally mean that this guy has never lost a title fight. He's unstoppable and I think fans are tired of seeing him defend the belt (yet i'm always fascinated) and think something has to change. I disagree, I see him as the undertaker, he'll lose but never for the big prize, impossible. Or is it? McWeakhands is more than able to trade blows with jokinen but does he have the same amount of confidence, determination and will? We'll see if he can redeem his loss. in the middle of the arena tomorrow night at Helsinki.
  17. EVO 84 LEGENDS is an event set to blow the roof off of the Wombley Arena. The 93 thousand fans in attendance and millions watching the PPV will be in for a treat. The main event of the card will feature a superfight between Evo's own Douglas and Team Thomas FC's Cockensctuff. One other little fact about this card? ALL fighters are inside the Top 100 p4p rankings of the Tycooniverse. This event is just oozing competition and quality. http://i705.photobucket.com/albums/ww57/EzekelRAGEpb/7358dd9e-9798-4067-bf03-519faec2e4d2.png?t=1399490297 The number 2 ranked fighter in Dustin Douglas takes on the number 8 ranked fighter in Lester Cockenschtuff. With the exception of Douglas being slightly more seasoned, their records are identical. Both fighters are on a 7 fight win streak with all fights ending in stoppages. Where the Rasta Lion leaves his opponents unconscious, The Molester leaves them bleeding like a pig. Although both are standup fighters, they go about it different ways. Dustin chooses to overwhelm his opponent from a distance with punches and kicks while Lester unleashes hell once the fight gets in the clinch. This fight could go either way. Even though Douglas has a knack for ending his opponents early, I’m putting my money on the clinch game of Lester. I think the hellbows and knees will be too much for Douglas, assuming Cockenschtuff is able to get it to the clinch and keep it there without getting laid on the matt. http://i705.photobucket.com/albums/ww57/EzekelRAGEpb/comain.jpg?t=1399405656 The Co Main event of the evening features two super-heavyweight fighters. The current champion of the division, Rinky Spider, takes on James Proudstar. Spider brings devastating power and an elite level striking game. Momentum is definitely in Spider’s favor, being on a 4 fight win streak. He finished 3 of his last 4 opponents inside the second round. Proudstar brings a well-rounded game and tons of experience due to his age. A fighter in his prime, James is the current champion in Synchronicity and Ascension. He even still carries the Canadian Fighting Championship belt around after the orgs closure. I’m going with Warpath for this fight. Just to see how he manages to carry 4 belts around. http://i705.photobucket.com/albums/ww57/EzekelRAGEpb/fw.jpg?t=1399492033 In December of last year Loompa and his manager Stu Pidasol held a press conference stating they wanted bigger challenges and Oompa was destined to be a big star. Fast forward to today, he’s on a 10 fight win streak with wins against some of tycoon’s top fighters under his belt. It seems Loompa is truly a force to be reckoned with. Coming off a string of submission wins, Richard Dawkins is looking to dethrone Loompa. Loompa has faced black belts before, but none the caliber of Dawkins. Richard with 33 wins has almost half of them via sub. Richard is at home on his back and Loompa has proved he doesn’t mind taking black belts down when he fought Partio. It’s a tough choice, but I’ll jump on Loompa’s hype train. I think Oompa grinds out another decision victory. http://i705.photobucket.com/albums/ww57/EzekelRAGEpb/Pluto-1.jpg?t=1399410001 This middleweight championship fight is a rubber match between two fighters who know each other well. When they first met, Alexander would take the victory with a decision victory over the Pluto. They would meet for the second time almost 2 months later. This time Pluto would manage to grind out the decision win. With Valentine having tasted EVO gold before pressure couldnt be a reason for the loss, maybe Palhares just has his number? Palhares seems to take his losses seriously. He has improved after each one and avenged all notable losses. Valentine proved he has what it takes to beat Pluto. I still think Palhares takes this fight though. http://i705.photobucket.com/albums/ww57/EzekelRAGEpb/neman.jpg?t=1399411415 This is the classic striker versus grappler matchup up. Binzo brings solid standup with a phenomenal ground while Prijovic relies on his striking and knockout power. Prijovic has a number of head kick knockouts that even Cro Cop would be jealous of.This may prove to be one of the toughest opponents Nemanja has faced. The power of Nemanja may not be enough to penetrate the Diamond chin of Binzo. His best option would be to pace himself and go to the judges. Binzo may have one of tycoon's best chins, he still should be careful of Prijovic's power. Binzo will dictate where the fight takes place, but will he be able to take advantage of it? Unlike his opponent, Binzo knows what it's like to make it into the championship rounds. The only question is if the fight makes it that far. I'm a sucker for head kicks, so I'm going with Nemanja on this one. I say he will pop Binzo's knockout cherry. http://i705.photobucket.com/albums/ww57/EzekelRAGEpb/jen.jpg?t=1399414682 In what reports claim is his coming out of retirement fight, Jose Nabijos takes on Jensen Saint. Scareface against The Holy man. Making true believers out of his past opponents, Saints enters the fight on a three fight win streak. A man on a mission from God, he seems unstoppable at the moment. Nabijos just may have what it takes to prove Jensen to be a false prophet though. Although he is at home on his feet, Scarface has managed to secure wins off his back with submissions. So it could spell disaster for Jensen if he gets caught while delivering the ground and pound. I think I'll take Nabijos in this bout, with a submission from his back possibly. http://i705.photobucket.com/albums/ww57/EzekelRAGEpb/Ken.jpg?t=1399422756 Having lost the heavyweight belt in this last fight, Oath is looking to climb back up the ranks to give it another shot. In his way stands Bruce Li, a fighter who has yet to taste defeat in the Evolution organization. As any top fighter and coach will tell you, going undefeated in one of tycoon's top organizations is not a fluke. Looking for a chance to clinch EVO gold, Oath may be the golden ticket Li has been waiting for. Although Li's past opponents were no pushovers, defeating the former heavyweight champion sends a message that words can't make. Not only does Li have to worry about Ken's takedowns, he has to be weary of the power as well. I think Ken takes this one. He has the power to shatter the glass jaw of Li. http://i705.photobucket.com/albums/ww57/EzekelRAGEpb/lhw.jpg?t=1399422799 Having not fought in 18 months, Jeremy Tonal dispatched Womba in the 2nd round of their Rising Sun PPV bout. That match is sure to be a nominee for upset of the year when awards season rolls around. This time more pressure is on. The EVO LHW belt is on the line. Will lightning strike twice for Tonal? Before the Tonal fight, the last two times Smokudju was finished he managed to avenge those losses dominantly. A loss seems to just motive him more. I take Womba in this fight, he will prove that was a fluke win from Tonal. http://i705.photobucket.com/albums/ww57/EzekelRAGEpb/Opa.jpg?t=1399422849 The EVO lightweight champion, Otso Jokinen, has a non-title fight against Donny Donowitz. This is the first time Donowitz has fought in the Evolution octagon and Jokinen is driving the welcome wagon. With this being a non-title fight, bragging rights are at stake. With both fighters having over 40 fights in their career and pushin 35 years of age or closer, they've both learned a thing or two throughout their careers. Will Donny's leg kicks and striking be able to stifle the takedowns of Jokinen is the big question. Donowitz will also hold a nice height and reach advantage in the fight. Otso showed in his fight with Mr. Black, that those advantages sometimes don't prove enough though. I'll go with Jokinen in this fight. http://i705.photobucket.com/albums/ww57/EzekelRAGEpb/danny.jpg?t=1399422916 The bout features two wrestlers who love to rain down strikes on their opponents. This isn't their first time meeting. The two fought each other twice last year. Both times Sly Randolph was able to make short work of Power. It would seem Randolph has Power's number. Those matches were long ago though. Maybe Power was able to pick up a few things since they last met. He's currently on a nice little win streak while Sly is shaking off a loss. I'll go with Power on this one, maybe the third time's the charm. That's it for now, be sure to tune in on May 10th to check out the card. Good luck to all fighters in the event.
  18. Ive been nothing but nice to you over the last few months about my fighters signed to fresh contracts that have never been started yet. offered you 300k per contract for you to set them free. ive recently gotten more firm in my requests but i feel that im justified in my requests and i plan on continuing to be polite in my request for you to be reasonable. but your last message was that you will no longer even view my communications to you. i would appreciate being heard, and i would appreciate not waiting 13 months for a contract to end that never even begun. when im obviously paying you enough money to sign 3 fighters. Please come to terms with me and respect my wishes to negotiate a monetary release of my fighters. what is a fair price. lets do this? Re: Re: Fighter Declined the fight offer. 2014-02-09 21:46:21 nah. shes just on her period. Re: Re: Re: Fighter Declined the fight offer. 2014-02-23 15:33:44 you fighting is the only option i have. if you did you wouldve been free by now bc i wouldve cut you after 2 Re: Re: Re: Re: Fighter Declined the fight offer. 2014-02-23 16:05:30 you have the option of making a fee cut. you have nothin invested from this contract. and i would pay you money on top of that. that means you come out ahead, and my fighter has nothing gained from you whatsoever. no good reason to hold them. they owe you nothing. yet im willing to give some anyway. Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Fighter Declined the fight offer. 2014-02-23 16:27:57 nah fighters fight Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Fighter Declined the fight offer. 2014-02-23 17:32:19 no, managers manage their fighters. and fight where they want. and org owners dont hold fighters hostage. its highly unethical. Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Fighter Declined the fight offer. 2014-02-23 18:27:54 shouldve have picked them up Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Fighter Declined the fight offer. 2014-02-23 18:36:19 anyone can pick up a fighter. thats a weird personal rule your trying to make up in your mind to justify your actions. you dont own that fighter. and holding them hostage without allowing payback of a reasonable signing bonus is a low low move. your trying to pass blame of your bad decision onto people who pick up fighters. picking up a fighter has nothing to do with the way your refuse to negotiate a contract dispute and pay back any invested money or value. if all value and investment is paid back then you have no reason to not negotiate terms. but instead you dont want to allow that reasoning in your mind so you block it out by focusing on the choice of a manager to have the right to pick up certain fighters. sort of like "oh you got beat by your husband? shouldnt have married him" not how it works. you cant decide that what your doing is ok just because people have a way of avoiding your mistreatment by passing up on oportunities that exist to them. so if you look at the big picture from start to finish your saying that YOU will decide who picks up fighters in your org. YOU are allowed to do any disrespectful and rude act that you wish because THEY are at fault for making the choice that put them in that situation by picking up the fighter. what other moral values and boundaries are you allowed to cross because i picked up a fighter? people dont sign away their rights to decency upon picking up fighters. i let ANY fighter go from my org as long as they are not on a winning streak in my org. and most guys i dont even ask any money or signing bonus back from them. its a clean and easy fair break from the contract, especially when they never faught a single fight under the contract. Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Fighter Declined the fight offer. 2014-02-23 18:38:35 didnt read keeping fighters
  19. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/1348615721oompa.jpg Oompa Loompa The little warrior, the pint sized champ, Oompa Loompa has just notched the first big scalp in his belt with former No.1 p4p fighter Danny Power going down to him in a hard fought 5 round thriller. Loompa showed he clearly has what it takes to tackle any of the games big names. Most laughed when Loompa first debuted, who would have thought a midget could be so devastating in the cage, with an impressive 18-3 record and a big name scalp those that laughed are now taking the first bites of humble pie. Most champs are happy to sit back and wait for the next challenger to come along - well not little Loompa he has joined us today to talk about who he wants next.... Reporter: So Loompa that was a great win by you against Power, you must be happy with the result? Loompa: Of course I'm happy with the result, getting the win is always great.I'm not happy with how I fought the fight though, I should have put Power away, I was just a bit sloppy with my ground striking and couldn't use it to set my subs up.. Reporter: Big fight nerves? Loompa: Maybe, I have never fought in such a big crowd. The atmosphere was amazing. Reporter: 1 fight at Evo and 1 title, you look to be backing up the big words of yours Loompa: You wanna talk the talk you gotta be able to walk the walk - I know I'm an unstoppable force and the rest of the MMA world will know the same after I put Sly Randolph away. I see him prancing round at the fights, handing out business cards with nothing other than "The One" on them.. I look through his record and who has he beaten? Dawkins.. Bwahahaha.. Cabrera - that guy gets carted to the cage in a wheel chair.. Power? Yeah I just beat him.. Randolph has done nothing yet finds himself one of the top ranked featherweights in the game.. Reporter: You aren't going to make many friends with comments like that.. I'm going to point out the obvious take out Power and you have beaten no one as well... Loompa: Friends? I couldn't give a shit about any of the so-called fighters in this division, they are nothing but punching bags that need to be beaten up.. Yes you are right Power is the only name I have beaten but I'm the one holding Evo's 145lb belt.. My first defence of that title will be one where I serve "The One's" head on a platter.. I'm the champ "The One" and you will be the next that I lay to waste. Well the Little man has spoken, the champ has called out "The One" Sly Randolph - all we need now is for CEO Mega Jug to set the date - lets see if the tables can be turned on Loompa... Or will he be shooting further up the ranks.....

  21. http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/1348615721oompa.jpg Vs http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/13765766139707.gif Oompa Loompa - 17-3 (6 via KO, 6 via Sub) p4p111 Danny Power - 31-13-2 (15 via KO) p4p79 The little man of the fight game Oompa Loompa made some bold statements just before Christmas about his desire to destroy all those that fought in the 135lb and 145lb divisions. 2 weeks after his claim he fought his last fight in the Invictus Fight Org with an embarrassingly easy decision win against Shazaam McDaniels. Within 5 minutes of finishing his shower the CEO of Evo Mega Jug was on the phone to Stu Pidasol with details of a contract for Loompa. After a quick scan of all the potential opponents Stu decided Evo was the best place for the little man to start his 2014 crusade. Danny Power the current 145lb champion fresh off his loss on the Xmas Bash card was selected as the first victim... Reporter: Loompa it has been a bit of a whirlwind these last few weeks - from big fish in a little pond to a little fish in a shark tank - how are you travelling? Loompa: Yeah you got that right however I'm no little fish - Danny Power will be the first the to realise this. Danny Power has been a great fighter, he has beaten some legends of the fight game, but his time in the sun has come and gone. He is a shell of his former self - riddled with self doubt, typical pom if you ask me. Lacks the mental toughness to hang in the big leagues. Reporter: Bit harsh of you Loompa - have you not seen his 2013 record? Loompa: Yeah I have looked at his record - early days he was like a FOTY winner, but the FOTY isn't won in 6 months you need to back that shit up all year. That middle section when he went 1 from 5 tells us when it all came tumbling down on him. Reporter: You haven't beaten a single fighter of note - and here you sit taking pot shots at a fighter of Power's caliber from the well respected fight camp of Sean McDonnel Loompa: And your point here is? I respect McDonnel but his boy Power is as useless as the English cricket team - this fight is nothing more than my stepping stone to have a crack at the form fighters of the division. Reporter: Just exactly how are you going to tackle this massive fight? Loompa: I'm going to go out there and fight my fight - if I want to stand and trade I will, if I want to take him down I will, if I want to get in and clinch I will. I can finish him wherever i choose. Power on the other hand is gong to need to keep this fight standing. Reporter: He's a Black belt you're a Brown belt - he has you covered on the ground? Loompa: He got his Black belt off the back of a wheeties packet - I can out grapple him in my sleep. In fact I dare Power to take me down - I know he won't have the balls but the challenge is there Power.. Let this fight hit the mat.. Shine that belt up real good for me Power - because in just a few short days while they cart your limp body from the cage the Evo belt will be put around my waist..
  22. What’s Different? - Events Instead of holding this in one org, the heads of Evolution, Synchronicity, and Ascension have come up with a new format. Each of the orgs mentioned will host events for the specified divisions. Evolution will host events for 145, 170 and 265. S ynchronicity will handle events for 155, 185, 265+. Ascension will cover 135 and 205. -Medals Will still largely be the same, individual tourney with fights happening like so, 1 v 8, 2 v 7 etc. 1st place gets gold, 2nd silver, and 3rd will get bronze. Managers and Org awards will still be awards based on points. Everything else about the tourney will remain the same for the most part.. Fighters still compete for medals. http://img28.imageshack.us/img28/3554/m38d.png Fighter Signups Each Division will have 8 spots available to the top 8 ranked fighter in that weightclass Depending on interest level this could be increased to 16 but for now it will be open to only 8. Each fighter that signs up will need to declare which Org they are representing. (just like Athletes represent their respective country in the real Olympics) Declaring an Org isn't mandatory, a fighter can be independent and fight w/o repping an org. Signups are located in Post #2. Matches All non medal fights will be 3 rounds with 5 minute fights except when in medal fights. All medal fights will be 5 rounds 5 minute fights. Contracts will be 10k base and win Schedule First round will start early to mid November. Rounds will take place every two weeks after that. How The Medals Will Work There will be three sets of medals awarded, for fighters, managers, and orgs. Individual medals will be awarded to fighters based on finishing 1st, 2nd or 3rd in each weightclass tourney, medals for managers will be based on the original point scoring system, and Orgs will have medals won by the fighters representing them tallied as if they were each a seperate country like in the real Olympics. Points Each fight will result in a KO, Submission, Decision/Split/Majority Win and Draw. After all the fights have been completed all points will be tallied up. KO or Submission = 3 points , Dec Win = 2 points , Draw = 1 and No Contest = -1 for offender, +1 for opponent Location Location for the 2013 games will be based in London for Evolution events and LA for Synchronicity and Ascension events. Prizes Fighters & Managers - Medals along with the bragging rights of being the best. Orgs - http://i.imgur.com/W0jmZ.gif If you would like to sponsor any prizes, be it clothing, supps, cash or whatever. Please post here and we will gladly accept it.
