Only 14 hours away we have invited the techno viking to be our guest weigh in model before the fighters get their official numbers. Adam Budgell will be retiring after tomorrow's fight. So, we decided to give him a tough opponent in the former lightweight champ in Wang Kwai. Budgell is a tough guy on the ground, but Kwai beat a very similar fighter in Naoki Fuji when he first won his title. He has the perfect combination of strategy, standup offense, and ground defense to make this one hell of a fight to see. Kwai is built for endurance, so if Budgell is over aggressive or takes too many to the gut he could just burn out. On the other hand, Budgell is one of the top submission specialists in Tokyo. He ranks in the top 5 in number of submission victories for Tokyo. Any second could be the last second if he gets a hold of Kwai. He will be retiring with a great legacy and has plans to help train other fighters to be future champions by improving their BJJ. He is a good guy who deserves a great sendoff.

In the main event we have Rady Remigio vs Ginger Mann for the middleweight title. The champ will have his hands full with an undefeated Ginger Mann. Mann is 6-0 vs some stiff competition and has worked his way to the top the right way by defeating increasingly tougher competition. Remigio is a purple belt submission specialist which plays well to Mann's weakness as a white belt. All 5 of his wins have been by submission. Mann comes in with a different game plan. He is a KO specialist with lightning quick hands and good takedown defense. Mann has a 90% takedown defense rate out of 30 attempts. The only man able to take him down was Henry McClaude in Mann's very 1st fight. To contrast Remigio has a 64% takedown success rate and a 100% success rate in his last 4 fights. This will come down to who can controll where the fight takes place. Both seem exceptionally skilled in that regard, so this is up in the air.

Lots of exciting fights scheduled and all are included in the official ONI bookmaker, ONI Bets. Torrem vs Parker will have you on your feet. Torrem is a Muay Tai specialist who has shown he can go the distance but also has issues finishing a fight. Parker is a good wrestler with a purple belt to match and has no issues ending fights via submission. He does have a weakness that can be exploited in his standup. Torrem is in a perfect position to capitalize on that. Parker has never been finished, and both his losses are by decision where Torrem excels. They have each others number. We will see who can dial it in.

With a packed card like this you can't go wrong. Get your bets in to support your favorite fighters and be sure to catch the action. This event is brought to you by Koffin Inc - London. Home of the ONI tee shirt which gives you a chance to win a bonus $1000.

During the post fight press conference Kong Suhan had the following to say :

"Thanks to all the fans, and press for coming out tonight and making this show another success for ONI, and its management. People were really writing me off after my last couple fights, and I would say without actual reason. I fought to a draw against former Champ Jon Hardy which I thought showed I could hang with the best in the world and also learned in that fight to never take your foot off the gas pedal, I mean I destroyed him in the first round but then kinda coasted the rest of the fight I should have won that bout. Then I lost a close decision to Jack Russell. I know that was a UD loss on my part but that fight was way closer then the cards show it to be I landed 83/182 shots in the clinch to his 83/164 shots also from the clinch. I think he basically won that fight on percentage of shots landed! In that fight I learned you can't just go out and swing for the fences by standing and banging. I think I have matured as a fighter, and you see the results in this last fight. I was more calculated then in any of my previous bouts, and once I smelled the blood on Tanahasis face I went for it and busted him wide open! I'm here for the long haul so to those of you who said I should retire if I lost this fight go f*ck yourselves I'm coming for Funakis newly aquired belt! Thanks again for coming."

Hello folks, this is Amir. So were here to get a quick scoop on Hyun Kim on his ganeplan against Soral Punkass.

Amir: Sup Hyun, how you doing man?

Hyun: I'm good, could be better but I'm straight.

Amir: So Hyun from what i know you have been training your ass off for this fight, but whats your gameplan coming in to this fight?

Hyun: Amir, thats simple to win at all cost, even if it means getting my ass kick for 4 rounds then coming up with a submission or catching that Jackass in the face.

Amir: Is it really that simple, mmmmmm......there's has to be more to it, can you go into details Hyun?

Hyun: Sure, anything for for you man(wink). Hahaha just kidding about the wink, but yeah Soral is one tough SOB but at the beginning of his career it shows that he didn't have a chin for some decent striker. In his last fight against Mark the issue pop up again but this time around he was against a top notch striker who was ridding 4 winning streak. So when it really come down to it who has the stronger chin, simple as that

Amir: Thanks for giving us on your opinion on Soral.

265 lbs Kim ILJONG v Paul Bear
Kim ILJONG asked to come in and fight one of our top dogs at 265. For this there was no better choice than Paul Bear. We are all pulling for Bear as one of our own. ILJONG has an advantage with his Muay Tai and wrestling. Their boxing ang BJJ are virtually even. But, Bear has never been known for his sparring. He is a beast when training his more specific skills. Bear is a KO machine and has shown an ability to go the distance as well. Both fighters like to stand and bang rarely attempting any takedowns. This should be exciting. Someone is getting knocked out.
155 lbs Hyun Kim v Soral Punkass 155 lbs title
Both fighters are extremely similar. Kim leans more towards submissions while Punkass likes the KO's, but their skills are very close. Only how they use them is different. One thing to note is Punkass' amazing ability to avoid the subs. Kim might need to try a different approach if he wants to get the finish.
205 lbs Tetsuzan Yamashi v Rikki Tavi
The winner of this fight earns the right to battle Bone Crusher for the light heavyweight title at ONI 25 on pay-per-view. Both warriors are 5-1. Yamashi is a submission machine while Tavi likes to take his time earning a decision and occasional KO. Tavi has if in the standup, but on the ground it could be anyone's game.
185 lbs Ryosuke Takahashi v Rufus Hitzlspergher
Takahashi recently lost his pet boa, Hermes. We will need to see if this effects his moral in the fight. He looks like he is a little lethargic going into weigh-ins. Rufus still cannot take this fight likely or he might end up missing an arm or leg. The winner takes on former champ Rady Remigio at ONI 25.
185 lbs George St Pierre v Helmy Abu Basha
This is a middleweight contender battle. The winner will face the champ live on pay-per-view at ONI 25. Both fighters are 4-1. Abu Basha is the KO kid with far superior standup. GSP is a BJJ master who will be looking to take things to the ground. Both fighters love to finish, so I doubt this will reach 3 rounds. This has fight of the night written all over it.
145 lbs Kamaneto Funaki v Nelio dos Santos 145 lbs title
Funaki stunned the world when he defeated reigning champion Anderson Edgar to become the lightweight man to beat. Dos Santos wants to make sure Funaki's rule over the division doesn't last past his first title defense. He has the Tai Boxing to do it if he can avoid the takedowns, but Funaki is a master strategist. Do not expect him to tire himself out throwing wildly. He likes to mix things up keeping the other guy guessing until it is too late to mount a comeback.
145 lbs Anderson Edgar v Fleischkaes Aktion
If this goes down to the ground Edgar is taking an extra leg home with him. But, first he has to manage a wave of kicks and knees that just might knock him out before he ever gets a chance.
205 lbs Xavier Cyde v Jay Yap
Cyde had some issues in training and as a result will be coming into this battle drained for energy. His Muay Tai is deadly, but you really need that extra wind to throw those legs around. I feel the more experienced Jay Yap may have this as a result.
170 lbs Crocker Tubbs v Manunu Igi
This will be hard to call. Both have good standup and wrestling, and both are white belts in BJJ. Both are 1-1 with similar fighting styles. I see this going to a possible decision unless Tubbs manages to clip Igi.
185 lbs Darnell Jefferson v Upknuk Pro
Not much is known about Pro except he had a string of early misfortunes. He will be looking to move things in the right direction by using his clinch against Jefferson. On the other hand, Jefferson is no push over. A win over him will have to be earned. He can win this standing or on the ground.

Soral: Good as ever. I feel in the best shape of my life and I am ready to take what is actually mine!

Post fight Interview:

Interview: Lightweight Champion of Oni. The #3 Org in Japan! Wow! That is an awesome knockout to win your second Lightweight title. How do you feel right now?

Soral: I feel great. This man is a tough one. He takes shots like he is Robocop then suddenly I manage to land a bazooka right in his jaw. I cannnot sleep tonight. I miss my baby, this gold is my baby.

Interview: Did you predict that this fight will be a short one?

Soral: Absolutely not, But I predict that I will knock him out. Either 2nd or 3rd round. I did not think I will caught him early in the round.

Soral: For the time being. NONE! I will hold this as long as I want.

Interview: Thanks, And have a nice night!

"Rikki Tavi here, I wanted to apologize to my fans for being so over-cautious against Tetsuzan. I was more aggressive against Krayzie Bone who is arguably a more dangerous fighter. Not saying anything against Tetsuzan, he's a beast of a fighter and deserved this win just as much as I did. I promise you guys, my fans, that I'll be more aggressive against my next opponent and I'll be looking to score a concussive knockout.

Still, I would like to thank Koffin Clothing and Blkout Clothing in Las Vegas for their support."

Now, that is one humble fighter. Fight of the Night with a 100% rating and he still apologizes to the fans.

It has long been known we have a good relationship with our competition over at Average Joe's. I even recently joined the same alliance now that MMA Brazil is no longer a part of our direction. So, it is no surprise that when they started up the Average Joe's clothing store we got in on the fun. The "lookin' good" award I give out each event has been extended to include ONI gear sold by Average Joe's. So, if you want a chance at a bonus $1000 you should wear the ONI logo with pride when you fight and put on an exciting show.

I will be designing extra ONI items from time to time to send over to Average Joe's. I tend to get busy, so I cannot promise how often this will be. But, you should keep an eye out for some animated items in the future.

I did an org mail about the new skins bonus policy, so I won't re-type everything. Just wanted to show the first skin to go out. I was going to wait until ONI 25 to give this to Tony Lase, but what is the damage if it is already done? He should have it in his inventory the next time our good buddy Tamel logs in. This is just the first, so as I get a little more practice in you should be seeing more of these sent out.

Elliot Ness - I was honestly scared going into this fight with Jimmy Jones. I saw his amateur tapes and understood the power he had in his hands so I spent the entire time on the defensive, countering what he threw at me then tried to tie him up in the clinch and on the ground. It was a hell of a fight and I didn't give the fans the kind of show I normally give them. I greatly apologize to them and when I let them down, I let myself down. I may not be the fastest, the smartest or the best at anything but I'll give one-hundred percent against ANY man thrown in the ring with me.

an interview with ONI's new recruit, Eddie "The Killer" Miller.

Tamel: Whats up Eddie, it's been awhile since we interviewed you. Last we saw you, you were over at AJFC tearing through the competition enroute to another crack at YOUR title. Today you signed a one fight contract with ONI what's the deal on that move...It's completely unexpected!

Eddie: Yeah Tamel, I am over here in ONI for now. There is a PPV comming up at ONI 25 and I plan on spreading my legacy into a new audience. I am here on a one fight

contract with ONI to fight Xavier Mendez and show everyone here what it means to dance with a "Killer"

Tamel: THAT"S GREAT NEWS! Now, how does it feel to be embedded in with another Org? I mean, ONI is the competition against AJFC and we all know you are loyal to

AJFC so how does it feel to be sleeping with the enemy?

Eddie: Well I wouldn't say "enemy" exactly. ONI is a part of the Cold Blooded Killers alliance as well as AJFC so, when it all comes down to it, we are one big family.

Yes, there is competition between every Org. in Tokyo, but being in the same alliance kinda makes it us against them you know? Kojiro and Marcus (owners of AJFC and ONI) have agreed to a one fight contract for me to get on this PPV card and I promise I won't dissapoint.

Tamel: what do you think of your opponent Xavier Mendez?

Eddie: Well, he has great hand. Noone wants to get punched in the face by this guy because he can knock you out in one punch! I have a great chin, as I have showed over and over, but I think my striking defense and my boxing is almost as good. He is a dangerous opponent and has to be respected, but I am Eddie "The Killer" Miller

and hell hath no fury like mine!

Tamel: Nice! Now, you recently made some huge changes to your life and training...How has that helped you in your quest to re-gain your heavyweight title?

Eddie: Yes, it is true that I am flying around the world training wherever it's HOT! I have increased my physical aspects as well as my technique and I am ready to fight anyone. I may be fighting at different weights soon, just to solidify my legend, and to make BIG FIGHTS! This visit to ONI is just another step I am taking to make Eddie Miller a household name. Plan on seeing me in big fights in the future!

thanks Eddie!

I will accept no less than 3 PEDs in your system by the night of the fight. Screening will be random.

http://i54.tinypic.com/mtr2aw.jpg

Damn it! I've only been using two PEDS on Rikki. Chael Sonnen is making this harder for me than it needs to be. :(

If Rikki loses, it's because he has a Staph infection and the flu. And his wife just died.

ONI 24 was a success. I will post more substantive information later, but I want to get the award winner's names out there.

Lookin' Good: Nelio dos Santos for wearing an ONI custom skin when he pulled of an impressive arm triangle against Anderson Edgar.

Fight of the night: Tony Halme vs Ulf Gurnisson for 3 rounds of non-stop action. Both fighters took a beating. In the end Halme managed a brutal combination to end the fight in stunning fashion, but up to that point it was anyone's game.

KO of the night: Top Dawg with a left, right, uppercut combination that knocked Batista out cold 9 seconds into the fight. This was definitely Halme's night and I look forward to seeing Batista come back strong after this upsetting loss. Both fighters are always so exciting.

Sub of the night: Nelio dos Santos via arm triangle 2:29 into round 2 to defend his featherweight title.

Here is a clipping from the last issue of Rear Naked Choke magazine :

Kong Suhan calls out Former BKC NY 145 lbs Champ Gary White.

ONI fighter Kong Suhan has had ups and downs in his short career. He dropped his first fight against Takanori Ryuugoro in a fight his manager pushed him into before he was ready. "Yeah you know I wanted to wait a little longer before my Pro debut, but my manager insisted I take this fight thinking it was a sure fire win and would put me on the map. Well we all seen how that worked out!" Yes he dropped that fight on the judges score cards, but he won the third round and a few fans thanks to gutting out the fight even when he was gassed to the point that he collapsed backstage in the locker room. "Yeah I thought stuffing as many take downs as I did would have tired out Takanori, but turns out it gassed me out just as quick. I had no business being out there that night with the cardio I had." He says his cardio is second to none these days, and you won't see him gas out in any of his upcoming fights. His second fight was a much different story then the first. 42 seconds and 9 strikes later saw Suhan secure his first win, and an impressive one at that. "Yeah the McArthur fight went a lot better then my first fight! That was probably my best performance to date, I landed every strike I threw and I was throwing them with bad intentions." Next up for Kong was former ONI Champ Jon Hardy. This fight was a huge step up for Kong, and winning would have put him right in the title mix. However he learned a valuable lesson in that fight. One that has become his favorite quote "Never take your foot off the gas pedal". After completely dominating Hardy in a 10-8 first round he slowed down and wound up losing the next 2 rounds which resulted in the bout being scored a draw. "I took two things away from that fight. 1) When I fight my fight no one in this division can touch me, and 2) never get to comfortable out there. I took my foot off the gas pedal in that one and it cost me huge. I think I was next in line to challenge for the title if I had of beaten Hardy, but after the draw it was back to the drawing board." Unfortunately for Kong that drawing board included a fight with Jack Russell. One that many feel was very poorly judged, including this reporter. "Yeah man I feel like I won that fight, but the judges were apparently watching a different fight I guess. I landed 83 strikes in that fight compared to Jacks 86. That was a close fight, but I think I should have gotten the nod my strikes were doing more damage." So what next the now 1-2-1 fighter was questioning his career choice and if he should continue down the road as a fighter. He took some time off, and did some training. Then ONI came knocking with an offer he couldn't refuse. A fight against then 4-3 Koji Tanahasi, a man who had fought for the title a couple fights back. "ONI has always treated me great, and I'll fight for them my entire career if they'll have me. When they offered me that fight I couldn't say no. And I'm glad I didn't." Glad indeed as Suhan came out as aggressive as ever, and finished Tanahasi in just 1:12 with a barrage of elbows that cut Koji to shreds! "I had really worked on my elbows prior to that fight, and wanted to test them out, turns out they work just fine!" So now what's next for this young, talented fighter? He has taken some time to train, and refine some of his tools. But now he says he's ready to test them out again. Against who you ask? Well he has a thing for fighting former Champs it seems. "I'm calling out former BKC NY Champ Gary White. I figure if I'm going to go anywhere in this game I have to fight the best guys available to me, and right now White is that man." Calling out a 5-1 former Champ may seem insane to some, but to Suhan it makes all the sense in the world. "Someday I want to be fighting for the belt, and I know I have to earn that chance. What better way to earn it then by beating guys that have had that belt around their waists?" Well there you have it Kong Suhan has called out Gary White to a bout he will surely be the underdog, will the young fighter be able to rise to the occasion or will he fall short at the feet of another former Champ? Only time will tell......

"Christian Wesley here! What's up ONI? I know the big show coming up is October 2nd, the big pay per view. The main event is actually a few days later- October 16th to be exact. ONI 27 live at the underground- the public execution of Sidney Crosby.

I kid, I kid. Sidney, no disrespect man, you're a great fighter (no matter what they say). To show there's no hard feelings, I'll write you a poem!

Roses are red (I shit you not),

Violets are blue,

If I hated the hospital

I wouldn't want to be you.

Okay, that was lame. Let me try that again and see if I can't highlight my point.

Roses are red,

You better let your contract expire,

Cause after this shit, boy,

You'll want to retire.

Okay, I think I better leave the poems to Fail Sonnen and keep the ass-kickery for myself. My Grandpa used to tell me that if I can't think of the proper way to say something that I need to just rip off somebody that said it first. Tonight I'll be ripping off James Toney (for those of you that couldn't understand him, he actually said this). I'mma getcha princess!"
