Guest
OHIO INSTITUTES MMA CRUISERWEIGHT DIVISION I know it's in use just for the amateurs starting May 1st but what do you think if it's implemented for pros too? Is it a no-brainer or...?
Guest
I think it would be cool to have it. Something fresh for once. =) I mean this both IRL and here in mmatycoon.
Guest
Seeing as weight doesn't appear to have much of a bearing on fight outcomes, I personally don't think it would serve much purpose in this game.
MattyBlayze
I'd much rather see a user-/org-defined Catchweight class that each org can use as they please.
PSUMike
I think its retarded IRL and am indifferent here.
Guest
Agree with above. If you wanna fight heavyweight fight heavyweight. If you dont want to fight 265+ guys. Make the cut to 205.
Guest
I will just go with the flow I guess, don't really see that this is needed but if it's in, then alright, I am not complaining either.
SeanD
I'd much rather see a user-/org-defined Catchweight class that each org can use as they please. I'm with you, man. I was just thinking about that the other day.

Guest
I voted yes. I think the need for a weight class between LHW and HW is fast becoming a must. I'd say 220-230 range would be best...a weight class where guys who can't make 205 and those who don't want to give up 30-40 lbs to a HW opponent could fight. I think that the limit will be 225lbs if it's implemented.
Guest
In real life it's not something I think is a good idea. There simply aren't enough competitive fighters to split an already fairly lean division.

Cruiserweight itself might be ok but HW would probably suffer from it. I guess.

Guest
There are too many weight classes in boxing, MMA does not need to follow suite.
CardiffWanderer
I'm actually a big fan of a real life cruiserweight division. I think it is very true that it will give us on or two years of poor divisions but I think for the long term prosperity of MMA it can only ve a good thing. There are a lot of 6"3/6"4 guys who would naturally be cutting to around (not to worried about an actual number) 230 pound mark and would be there most competitive weight. With mma going through an explosion of popualrity I think we need ot look 5, 10 years down the line to those coming through.

Guest
WE NEED A 190 DIVISION!!! so does the ufc
Guest
Like Matty said, I'd rather see a catchweight implemented instead of another set division.
Guest
I think the weight classes should be 25, 35, 45, 55, 65, 75, 85, 95, 205 and HW.
