Is there some reason the fights are 3x10minutes?

Just wondering, cause i've seen many organizations using 3x5minutes. Wouldnt that be better for fighters also? They would not need to use so much energy, and could train better :)

Masaaki Shikuk on his upcoming fight with Gary Kaigax:

Shikuk: I have wanted this fight for a long time but I probably should not have taken this fight because it won't be a big win for me but there is no way I can lose this fight I'm better on the ground I have the better stand up so I will win

Foster calls out Adam "Murder" Mirovic

Reporter: Foster, it has been said that you want to take on Mirovic next. Is there any truth to this rumour?

Foster: Yes, I want Mirovic. He's a boring fighter that fights once a month, so he can train a lot, and hand picks his match ups. Funny thing is he hasn't improved much despite all that training. He is mediocre at every aspect of fighting. The fact that he is ranked so highly just disgusts me and I want to put an end to it.

Reporter: Wow those are some strong words, do you think you can back em up?

Foster: 1st round knockout guaranteed. The wind from the follow through of my punch is enough to put him down.

Reporter: You have just come off a submission loss to Harry Hill and he won his last fight. Is now really the best time to make a challenge?

Foster: Despite my loss I am still one of the more popular fighters in DIFO. A win over me would surely put him in position for a title shot. Just ask Harry Hill. Of course the benefits won't matter since the beat down I'm going to give him will make him forget about that title quickly.

caught up with Adam Mirovic, one of The Original Elite from Octagon Warriors gym today. He had this to say about Benjamin Foster -

"You wonder why I train so hard, apparently lack improvement AND why I'm ranked so high? Step into the cage and find out for yourself. You didn't even get past the first round of your last fight. It didn't take much for Harry Hill to submit you and I'm going to do the same. Just pray I don't pull one of your limbs off completely and beat you with it.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: The answer to who wants some? will ALWAYS be Adam 'Murder' Mirovic - one of The Original Elite."

I heard from Tamana Hopoate today, he's left Tonga and on his way back to Tokyo but will be stopping in Bangkok for a week first. He plans to spend time training with old friends and catching fights at Lumpinee Stadium. He'll be right back into training at Octagon Warriors Gym on his return and looking forward to his next fight. He said, in part -

"I let my mouth get ahead of myself in the lead up to the last fight and didn't focus in the gym properly. I've been home, I'm revitalised and ready to fight. I want to climb the rankings and I'll do it one fight at a time, starting with Julius Caesar at THEONENESS"

In our weekly feature Big Men, Small Cage, James Oliver Rigney, Jr. sits down with "The Dungeon Master" Gary Kaigax following his spectacular knockout of rival Masaaki Shikuk.

James Oliver Rigney, Jr: First, congratulations on the win. You'd just dropped three in a row, and your future with the company was doubtful.

Gary Kaigax: I want to say that DIFO has been great to me, and I am very thankful for all the opportunities they have given me. They asked me to prove myself on this last card, they wanted to make sure I had something to offer the organization, and I did, and I do.

JORJR: Have they extended your contract?

GK: After that knockout, how could they not?

JORJR: Alright, how about you walk us through the fight.

GK: It's actually really interesting, you know? I'm in a six way tie for the fastest knockout in DIFO history. You've got Andrew Till over Bob Forest at Thrasher, Andrew Till again over Tubby Potbelly at Comfortably Numb where I also got my KO, George Hagler over Kevin Suzuki at Highwayman, and on the Spreading the Disease card Benjamin Foster knocked the hell out of Tommy John. I made my debut at Spreading the Disease, and right after that win I wanted to do something as spectacular as Foster did.

JORJR: That was only four other knockouts. You said it was a six way tie.

GK: I did, but I wanted to make sure to rub this in. The last knockout was at Coma, of all cards, where Cool McCold dropped Masaaki like a bag of mulch. Yeah, Masaaki now accounts for one third of the receiving end of the fastest knockouts in DIFO history. That's what I based my gameplan on. I knew he didn't have much of a chin, and his boxing is lousy regardless of what he says, so I came out less technical and more flashy than he trains for. Masaaki's chin is worse than Arlovski's. If you want to see a double KO, maybe DIFO can schedule that fight next.

JORJR: Come on now, have a little respect for the guy. His record is still better than yours.

GK: And what's that mean exactly? He admitted to taking the fight knowing that a win over me wouldn't do much for him other than give his record a slight boost. Did you see the odds for this fight? No one thought I was going to win. The guy's record is obviously more padded than an Asian girl's bra.

JORJR: I don't know Gary, you're acting as if the grudge between you guys wasn't motivating factor enough. You two have been hyping this fight for awhile. Masaaki really had nothing to gain from this fight, but for you it was really do or die. I mean, his honor was on the line, what do you say about that?

GK: Look at it this way James. Had the fight happened when I first called him out and we were both coming off of wins, then it would have been about honor. Had it happened after my first loss, it still would have been legit because he was losing too. But after that, I kept losing, and he kept winning. He wanted a quick win over a scrub, had a storyline to justify it, and jumped at the chance to raise his own star. Only, it backfired on him. The guy's in the hospital, and he should seriously rethink his career.

JORJR: You talk quite candidly about the condition your career was in going into this fight. Why do you think you've been doing so poorly?

GK: First, I was at a rather lousy gym. I've always mostly trained myself, so I didn't know how important a good training camp was. I've since joined up with The Dragon's Lair, and I'm improving every day with those guys. Besides that, I guess I really was obsessed with this fight. Masaaki needed to be shutup. That's all I've been able to think about going into every fight. Now that I've accomplished that, I've got nothing else holding me back. No mental barriers, you know? It's full steam ahead, and I'm going for the belt.

JORJR: What would you have done had you lost this fight?

GK: Well, I like to think of myself as less of a fighter and more of an entertainer, you know? I make things interesting. I keep things exciting. I think DIFO will always have a place for a guy like that.

JORJR: Well, I can't disagree with that. Thanks for talking with us Gary.

GK: Not a problem. And remember, if you step into my dungeon, you're going to get schooled.

Mickey Mulligan is finally back after being put in his place by the superior fighter Mr. Davies.

On the plane ride back from a much needed vacation Mickey has finally decided to choose his words wisely in his first statement since losing his first shot, not his last but first, at the title.

Mickey: I thought I had him early in the fight I am the first and only fighter to put Davies down in a fight, but game is not well rounded enough yet to defeat a great champion like Mr Davies. Now it's back to the gym so I can work my way back up the ladder for another title shot. :boxing:

Daemon Davies.."tsk tsk no need to be jealous that my future looks so bright..we all know when u were 18 u were selling your ass for crack on the wall..at least u will be used to the fear and cold sweats and shakes that all my opponents feel before stepping into the cage with me..maybe just one last hit?..to calm your nerves."

I first met Gary at a Jits clinic and happened to get lucky enough to be paired with him when it came to time roll one on one. Once we started to roll and rub against each other I just new inside my mind that this man wanted me to be inside him, call it a gut feeling or the bulging penis pushing up against my face as we practiced north south grappling. I thought he kept letting me get the dominate position to easy. Ever since that day I have always felt an ispiration to rub against other men.

When you work with someone that you admire and love it is not like wokr at all. After finding a soulmate like Gary being with him is not work it is like a romantic fantasy novel come true. It is not very often in life that one can find someone as gentle, loving and great in bed as Gary. Maybe the next time me and Gary have a "grappling session you may want to come and give us a hand".

Well back to training so I can work my way back up the ladder. :boxing:

Honored Haraksha mentioned Trill in his post :)

Trill needs a decent opponent next, hes 4-0 so far, once he hits 6 wins (no matter how many losses) Im going to send him up against the title holder (who hopefully is still Davies, for the sake of an interesting brawl). Any challengers?

Mark McGregor looking to rebound from Loss, explains why he's been quiet for so long

Mark McGregor (Speaking on his blog):

For those wondering yes i am still alive. I was a bit disheartened by my last performance and disapointed in my showing and the commitment i showed coming into the fight. I lacked the mental fight going into the match up Tenryu and he beat me and deserved the win. But after the fight i had to take some time away to look into all aspects of my game.

That break has refreshed me and i returned to the gym stronger and more focused than before and i feel ready to come back and fight. I am not bothered who i fight i just want a fight and a chance to show that the Mark McGregor that beat Benjamin Foster is for real and that he can become one of the best Super-Heavyweights in the buisness and from now on, Win loss or draw i will put on a good showing
