skintchicken
to get the desired effects my fav types of beer (easily accessible and affordable) are steel reserve 211 (6% abv), milwaukee's best ice (5.9% abv), natural ice, bud ice (5.5% abv), etc. for taste my fav beers are (these aren't as easily accessible and cost more) flying dog tire bite, spaten, spaten oktoberfest, and most other german beers that aren't dunkels. Face Kicker
i don't really have a favorite, but here's some that i'll pick up from time to time (i don't really drink that much) sam adams (usually the seasonal stuff or brewmaster stuff that's out, like the octoberfest, winter lager, white ale, pale ale, latitude 48 ipa, etc) becks stella artois grolsch new castle (only on draft though, i think it tastes pretty crappy in bottles. never enough carbonation or something) corona (with lime) pyramid hefeweizen blue moon i'd get yuengling too, but i've lived in CA since 2000 and they don't sell it out here. i drink it when i go back east though. Guest
http://www.creemoresprings.com/live/images/beerTrioGlassware.jpg Creemore Springs Premium Lager, Pilsner or Kellerbier (seasonal-summer). Haven't seen it in the UK or the States, but if any of you make it to Canuckistan...make it a priority.

FatBoy
I don't really like beer, but love cider. The only one thats readily available in my area is Woodchuck, which is pretty decent.

FatBoy
Wow...Hornsby's isn't available? I thought you could get that anywhere! Hornsbys is available on tap at one of the local restaurants, and I really like that. Magners is also available at some grocery stores, but the variety they have isnt very good

Guest
Moosehead (REAL Canadian beer) Kilkenny Perhaps I'm spoilt by being British and thus having easy access to a whole host of real ales and pretty much any European lager I could dream of but I was in Canada recently and Moosehead could be one of the worst pints I've had in a while... although better than Steamwhistle (I think that's what it's called) which was freaking terrible. As for my drinks of choice: A good pint of Badger's Golden Glory London Pride Tusker

Guest
my kind of topic I love beer, I absolutely LOVE it. I tend to only like dark beers, but I will put a lighter one down once in a while. What I can say though is, if you pay less than a dollar a bottle it's not real beer, that shit is horse piss. some of my favorites, in no particular order http://www.dropshots.com/photos/49182/20060717/231427.jpg http://www.hoppocketwine.co.uk/images/st%20peters%20old%20style%20porter.jpg http://neverthemachineforever.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/oscarstout.gif this is maybe the best beer ever, it's so fucking good http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3441/3253740496_0565dd6ba2.jpg
Guest
Kilkenny Guinness Corona (once in a while) The local Hansa brew I'm also quite fond of Carlsberg Kilkenny is probably my favorite, though.
