Guest
This is how I imagine it works... each fighter comes in with the energy level they had at the time the fight kicked off. Each fighter loses energy during the course of a fight depending on the moves they do and how aggressive they are. If a fighter is too aggressive and/or they have poor conditioning, they lose more energy, "gas," and can't attack as effectively and are more easily knocked out or submitted. At the end of the fight, you are left with an amount of energy based on how active you were in the fight. Is that about right?
PBR
hopefully the way it works -- one thing for sure is i think energy levels should be taken more into consideration -- see way too many peeps coming in with less than 10% energy and still win even in long fights
onelung
Bump because I want to know. I've seen too many fights where a guy is gassed a minute in yet it has no apparent impact on his work rate. We don't need the complete math behind it but it'd be nice to know if it affects fight performance or just the recovery time post fight. Guest
It's definately not very realistic that a gassed fighter can spam takedowns or submissions and succeed in them most of the time.
Guest
Iv had 2 guys go in with half energy and get ko'ed quick. So sometimes it works like it should.
MMATycoon
Yep, that's pretty much it. 1. Pre-fight energy 2. Calculates an in-game energy level based on this number. 3. This energy level goes both up and down during the fight. 4. After the fight we calculate a new energy level. This does not come straight from your energy level at the point in time that your fight ended, it is calculated based on the total amount of activity during the fight... That's why you sometimes see someone who has 0 energy at the end of fight stats bars winning - it doesn't necessarily mean they had 0 energy at the point in time that they won, it means that they expended a lot of energy during the fight as a whole.
