Youve never fought a Big Wax fighter!

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/41/41w35.jpg

"Young" Matt Youngblood

I dont know what a Big Wax fighter is but from the sound of the name they must be fat and slow. VFC had high quality fighters I seriously doubt you coulda done any better against those same fighters. Dont lose tonight "Snotgun", I hate to beat you again and make your manager drop you! Then again thats why Im here, to get rid of the weak.

Im coming for you Chris Clark! Hope your ready for the big time!

Dear Jack "Paper Champ" Dervius,

Henry Winkler is here to take away that undeserved belt you have. You won it before I got here and beat up a chump to get it. Once I dispose of Bernie McLeod, fighting you will seem like a joke. The only reason you get to hold on to that belt is because I asked for a tune up fight before smashing your face in. Keep training and praying because you're gonna need all the help you can get. Please hold on to your belt long enough for me to get a shot at beating you up. Thanks

Future Champ,

Henry Winkler

ummm your a welterweight dude... you should be talking to dervious , and i got his back! Dervious is my boy and he'll kill ur ass!

Congrats Frank, you are next on my list after I retire the "Snotgun". Shame you lost your belt on your first defense, but dont cry yet, the worse is yet to come.

Where you at Clark? Nothing to say about our match or are you just as sure as I am that you wont last out the first round?

January 5th we go live from Paddy O'Malleys Bar for NAF: Montreal'sfirst ever Midweek Fight Night!

Welterweight Bout

"Eagleeye" Shaine Adler (0-1) vs.Claudio "Strangler" Silva (1-0)

Here we are first fight of the night and we have aclassic striker vs grappler matchup. "Eagleeye" hasnt had a chance toshow off his striking game. In his last fight he was controlled for themajority of 3 rounds. Luckily for him Claudio Silva doesn't have much of anadvantage when it comes to the wrestling department. But if this fight hits theground expect the "Strangler" to do what he does best and use thatsignificant BJJ advantage , scramble , and try to lock something up.

Writers pick: Shaine Adler via 1st round tko

Middleweight bout

Eric "Shadow" Le Clarke (1-0) vs. Shawn"WW2" Ericsen (1-0)

Here we have a very intriguing grappler vsgrappler matchup. Ericsen has shown that he has great wrestling skills alongwith a blue belt in jiu jitsu. He looks to shoot for that power double and beathis opponent up from there. This strategy may very well play right into LeClarke's game plan. With a purple belt in jiu jitsu and his lone victory comingvia submission "Shadow" will no doubt be throwing his legs up lookingto maybe secure an arm or even a leg. Will Shawn Ericsen be able to nullify thebjj of Le Clark? Make sure to tune in and find out!

Writers pick: Eric Le Clarke via 1st roundsubmission

Middleweight bout

Igor "Fist" Pojacro (0-1) vs. Luis"Nightmare" Silva (0-1)

And now we have a matchup between two Cozadfighters. Both coming off losses in their first pro mma bouts , both hungry fora win , and both hungry for that paycheck so they can hopefully get in somesolid training. With both fighters having even wrestling and grappling gamesthis fight comes down to who can get the better of the stand up."Fist" a boxing specialist and "Nightmare" a muay thaispecialist this fight might just come down to who has the better chin. I'mthinking this fight could go either way.

Writers pick: Igor Pojacro via unanimous decision

Light Heavyweight bout

Jebba "The Jackhammer" Johnson (0-3) vs.Jay Daniels (2-0)

Last fight of on the undercard Rising star Danielstakes on always game Johnson. These two meet for the second time in the cage.At NAF 8 we saw Daniels beat "The Jackhammer" in a three rounddecision. Hungry for a win in the NAF , I think the key for winning for Johnsonwill no doubt be to look to take this fight to the ground where the fight is at least even. But on top this time. I think if Jebba can't get the top positionwe should see a repeat of the past fight.

Writers pick: Jay Daniels via unanimous decision

Main Card

Heavyweight bout

Larry Lightfoot (1-1) vs. Sam Peterson (0-0)

First fight on the main card and we get to watchthe big guys put on a show ! The lighter of the two fighters Lightfoot showedthat in his last fight he likes to look to shoot for the takedown and control. That might not be the best thing to do when you're fighting Peterson , a purplebelt. If Larry can manage to keep this fight on the feet id say he's got apretty good chance of landing a devastating ko punch. On the other hand ,Peterson making his pro mma debut right here in the NAF , 263 pounds and withcompetent wrestling he might be able to easily get this fight to the ground andpull off a submission.

Writers pick: Sam Peterson via 2nd round submission

Bantamweight bout

"Too Lazy To Learn Strikin" Aziz Ansari(1-0) vs. "The Destroyer" Tomi McDonald (2-0)

Ansari a fierce grappling competitor will no doubtbe looking to repeat the success of his last fight. Get the takedown, break hisarm , get your check.

Wrestler turned Muay thai specialist McDonald hasa chance if he can manage to stuff the takedown keep the distance and counterwith a big head kick and that might very well happen.

Writers pick: I'm going to go with my gut and sayTomi McDonald via 1st round ko

Co Main Event

Light Heavyweight bout

Chris Clark(1-0) vs. Matt Youngblood (4-0)

Now for out co main event we have a lightheavyweight fight that might have serious title implications. Chris Clarklooked amazing in his last fight. With a vicious ko in only 24 seconds he'sshown that he's a force to be reckoned with. Clark has amazing boxing but he'salso an accomplished wrestler. Against Youngblood, a fighter in which has standup equal to his, Clark might look to take this fight to the ground and beatYoungblood up. On the other side Matt Youngblood has been on a tear. Afterwinning his pro mma debut via tough 3 round decisions he's gone on to finish 3fighters in a row all in the first round. In fact in his last fight he finishedhis opponent in only 34 seconds. This is a fight that is no doubt going to getfight of the night, expect anything!

Writers pick: Chris Clark via 2nd round tko

Main Event

Welterweight bout

Andreago "Minotauro" Silva (2-0) vs."The Samurai" Mason Michaels (4-1)

And here we are our main event of the evening! Inone corner we have Silva a Muay Thai fighter with amazing jiu jutsu skills.Winning both of his pro fights via submission he's shown that he likes to playthe ground game. In the other corner "The Samurai" is an accomplishedbrazilian jiu jutsu practitioner. Four wins four submissions Silva might betapping in a matter of time. So when you look at their stand up skills you havea decent boxer versus a decent muay thai striker. Neither fighter has reallyshown off any sort of striking so its hard to say whose got the edge. Thisone's going to be good, who will become the next contender in the welterweightdivision?

Writers pick: Mason Mathews via first roundsubmission

- Big Wax

NAF 12 Preview

Tomorrow night we will be live from the Wild Bob's Bar in Montreal to see NAF 12: Pilgrim vs. Strauss.

Light Heavyweight Fight

Matt Gordon (0-0-1) vs. Cody “The Italian Psyco” Liberatore(0-0)

Matt Gordon looks to be 1 of the best BJJ practitioners Ithe Light Heavyweight division. Unfortunately just because your Jiu Jitsu is great does not mean you canconvert it to MMA. In his debut fight hewas on the ground for all 3 rounds and couldn’t lock in a submission on a whitebelt. Well he will get his chance toright that wrong in this next fight when he takes on Cody Liberatore. The Italian Psyco is making his pro debut andhas respectable boxing and competent wrestling. He is going to want to keep this fight standing despite Gordon’sinability to finish fights. Gordon isstill dangerous enough that it will only be a matter of time before he figuresout the MMA game.

Bantamweight Fight

“Catch” Ron Lemieux (0-0) vs. Rob Smalling (2-0)

Some Bantamweight action coming up. Rob Smalling is 2-0 and getting closer to atitle fight with each win. He loves tostand and bang and has shown that he can really put it on his opponent and canoverwhelm them. Lemieux is making hisdebut and it will be a tall order but Lemieux is confident his is ability toavoid Smalling and get him to the ground where Lemiuex can overwhelm him. Will Lemiuex be able to spoil Smallings runto the top, or will Smalling use Lemieux as another stepping stone to a titleshot?

Light Heavyweight Fight

Tyrone “Ace” Jackson (1-0) vs. Borislav “Vodka” Volkov (1-0)

Tyrone Jackson proved in his last Light Heavyweight fightthat he likes to mix up his attack can finish a fight at any time. So what does NAF do? Put him with another young Light Heavyweightwho likes to mix it up and can finish a fight! Borislav Volkov is a wonderful Mauy Thai fighter and enjoys beatingpeople up in the clinch. Jackson Boxingskills will be needed to keep Volkov at bay and pick him apart from outside theclinch. I don’t see this one going tothe ground or going the distance. These2 are going to go in there with bad intentions and someone is going to end uplooking at the ceiling when this fight is all over.

Welterweight Fight

Peter Sobotta (1-1) vs. Alexandre “Baixinho” Barros (2-0)

Barros has shown that not only can he absorb some punishmentand hang in a fight, but that he is also quit dangerous on the ground. Whether it’s by armbar or kimura when helocks into an arm its tap or snap. Sobotta is also known to like to lock into anarm and crank it the wrong way. Word hasit that Sobotta head is not right for this matchup and some family issues havehim really questioning the fighting game right now. Of course once that cage is shut you have tobe in the moment or else it could be Sobotta’s arm that doesn’t quite bendright if he doesn’t stay focused.

Light Heavyweight Fight

“Wolverine” James Howlett (0-0) vs. Mirco “Crobot” Diprivan(1-2)

Officials of New Age Fighting have been waiting for a whilefor the debut of James Howlett. Howletthas been taking his time and wanted to make sure he was fully ready beforemaking his debut. Howlett is strong inwrestling and BJJ so one would think he wants to get the fight to the groundand work from there. His opponenttonight is the soon to be retired Crobot. Crobot likes to keep the fight standing and has been shown to bedifficult to takedown. Crobot is comingoff 2 straight TKO losses so we might see him a little gun shy with hisstriking. That could work here since hemost likely doesn’t what to over commit and find himself on the ground. With Howlett superior wrestling Crobot willbe at a disadvantage if he is to aggressive. Of course this is his last hurrah so he may just want to go out gunsblazing in this one.

Light Heavyweight Fight

Hoosier Daddy (0-1) vs. Christopher Turcios (0-0)

Our next Light Heavyweight fight features 2 fighters bothlooking to make a mark in NAF. In hislast fight Hoosier Daddy showed his ground game left a lot to be desired whenhe ran into Ryan Willis and could not get off his back. Turcios is touted as being primarily a standup fight so Daddy should not have to deal with the takedowns in this fight andhe will be able to stand in trade with him. Of course Turcios could think that he might want to exploit Daddy’sweakness on the ground if an opportunity in the fight shows itself. Hopefully these 2 play to their strengthsand keep it standing for a great war for the fans.

Bantamweight Fight

Rock Prescott (2-0) vs. “The Man” JJ Johnston (0-1)

In his last fight JJ Johnston decided to get into a groundwar. It didn’t work out so well for himlast time when he dropped the fight my decision. Last time it proved ill advised, this time itwill be fatal. Rock Prescott is anextremely dangerous fighter on the ground and wants nothing more than to getthis fight on the ground and break something. At the same time tough the rest of Prescott’s game leaves to a lot to bedesired. So If Johnston can avoid theground game he should have the significant advantage on his feet. All he has to do is avoid ending up on theground for 3 rounds and he should be able to come away with a victory. Of course that will be no small task.

Bantamweight Fight

Orange”The Green” Blue (2-3) vs. “Slick” Lagarett Fitz (2-0)

Orange Blue was just on the verge of turning his careeraround when he decided this was going to be his last fight ever. Most fighters would fight past a 2-3 recordin the beginning of their career but at 27 Blue has decided he is too old tomake it big in MMA. That being said Blueis always a game opponent and is not afraid to take the fight to the ground orkeep it standing, whatever gives him the edge. Fitz is an aggressive fighter who will stand and trade but would ratherkeep the fight grounded. He likes to mixit up once he gets on the ground pounding away and working for submissions. He has the edge and should be able to putBlue away. Unless Blue decided to go allout, but most play it safe in their final match.

Co-Main Event

Middleweight Fight

“Vicious” Sid DiBiase (1-0) vs. “Vanilla Gorilla” Cody Yeary(2-0)

Our Co-Main Event pits 2 upcoming fighters in themiddleweight division against each other. “Sid Dibiase is a fairly well rounded fighter who is likes to go intofights and try a little of everything to see where he can exploit his opponent. Cody Yearly truly is a Gorrilla with hiswrestling and ground attack he is just a monster to get off once he isthere. Yearly has already been askingfor a title shot and a win here most likely will put him right there. Of Course Sid Dibiase would love to take theopportunity for himself. Whoever pullsout the win here could very well be looking at a title shot very soon.

MAIN EVENT

Bantamweight Title Fight

Scott Pilgrim (4-2) vs. Daniel Strauss (4-0)

And now it’s time for our Main Event of the Evening. Scott Pilgrim is amazing. He sets such an amazing pace that has neverbeen seen in NAF. He goes in there andthrows everything he can at his opponent and simply overwhelms them and neverlets up. Compustrike records have seenhim attempt 184 takedowns in his 6 fights with a success rate of about 7%. That’s horrible numbers I know but that alsois trying to take down a guy 30 times a fight. Not to mention the kicks punches knees and elbows he throws out there toit simply is just unbelievable. All but1 of his fights has gone the distance. Enough about the champ what about his challenger. Daniel Strauss is a import from London. He is a solid striker who can KO if he isgiven the chance. He likes to bringfights into the clinch and beat people up in there. Compustrike records has him throwing 124punches all in the clinch landing 110 of them for 88% success rate. Some people have said that Strauss recordsomewhat bloated by facing questionable competition. Well here is the chance for him to prove thedoubters wrong. Can Daniel StraussHandle the speed and pace of the champ? Can Scott Pilgrim keep the same pace night after night and avoid thestriking of Strauss? Either way thisfight is going to be exciting fasted paced and a striking clinic, and of courseabout 30 takedown attempts.

Right on, my first co-main event fighter ("Vicious" Sid DiBiase) I know Sid is looking to put on a good show for the fans so he'll be coming out aggressive. We're already expecting his opponent to be going for the ground and pound but it wont get to that point. Watch for Sid to finish with a first round KO and topping it off with the KO OTN bonus! ;)

Jack "Jick Jock" Dervius

To my dear friend Mr. Wrinkle,

Firstly, apologies for not finding your comments earlier. I would have declined the fight with Michaels (no offense to him or his manager) and made Mr. Lock book you instead after your "tune-up" fight. Secondly, I don't see what's with all this hate directed toward me. So I assume you're just a kid looking to run his mouth at everything until it gets you what you want. With me all it will get you is a trip back to mommy with a broken spirit.

Obviously you can talk a big game... the truth is while I used to respect you (have you forgetten we train together? See you there tonight!) I can see why you haven't made it too far in this industry or your previous org despite your so-called impressive set of wins. You have no brains, dude. I'll give it up to you--ya have some hands on you. But when you step into the cage, the ring, or even the ring atop of a cage with me... you just won't know what to do anymore. You havent fought anybody of my caliber yet (check for yourself, can after can after can). I'm gonna show you and everybody else why I'm the goddamn NAF Welterweight champion.

P.S. Take off those stupid-ass glasses. You're a joke.

Dear Jick Jock,

Tick Tock, Tick Tock,

Times running out Jick Jock,

After I beat up my next foe,

You'll be the first to know,

When they send you the offer to fight me,

Don't Run scared just agree,

Train hard and prepare like a Champ,

Put in a Good Camp,

But when the day finally arrives,

I'll be the one who thrives.

Your title reign is coming to an end. And to Bernie, I'm not forgetting about you. I don't overlook an opponent. I'm training harder than ever before but I've got gold on my mind and you're just the last step before I get my shot.

NAF Recap Show

Frank Night: We are here for our new weekly NAF recap show to cover everything that has happened in the last week and what is on tap for the future here in New Age Fighting: Montreal. I am your host "The Real Deal" Frank Night and with me as always is "The American Dream" Eddie Haskil.

Eddie Haskil: That's right Frank we have a lot to cover in our first ever show. So let's begin.

Frank Night: With the end of last year we just came out of our biggest Fight weekend ever with NAF 10 and NAF 11. And there is no other place to start then what has to be considered the greatest fight in NAF history Doc Thomas vs. Raimo Tuomela.

Eddie Haskil: Dude that amazing and fun to watch. Although Doc controlled a lot of it Ramio was still able to keep with him and threatened him a few times throughout.

Frank Night: Yeah Ramio was able to land some good strikes and cut Doc up but Doc was able to prove he was the better fighter that night.

http://www.mmatycoon...php?FTID=384905

Eddie Haskil: Those super fights have been great I wonder if we will see any more of them one day.

Night: Let's hope so. We also saw David Carwin defend his title in another great showing but taking out Mike Smith.

Haskil: Carwin is a beast 3 fights in NAF all under 2 minutes. 3 devastating wins.

http://www.mmatycoon....php?FID=155968

Night: That is true he has been a monster. We do have news that he is slated to fight on January 28 against NAF new comer. Krysztof "Kzyszcazk" Krzak from Poland.

http://www.mmatycoon....php?FID=147037

Haskil: Isn't he the former middleweight champion from Silver Standard Fighting?

Night: Yes he is.

Haskil: That guy is a beast too. He is 4-0 with nothing getting out of the first round either.

Night: Well I guess we are going to see someone get KO'd in the 1st round then. NAF 10 was great but we also had NAF 11 the very next night.

Haskil: That uppercut Jose Diaz landed on Dustin Smith was a thing of beauty.

http://www.mmatycoon...php?FTID=390353

Night: We also had that close back and forth ground war between Danger David and Chris Duncan.

http://www.mmatycoon...php?FTID=390347

Haskil: I really think that puts Danger close to a title fight.

Night: More on that soon put 1st I want to discuss the Main Event that saw Jason Frank defeat Cullen Castrello for the Light Heavyweight title.

Haskil: I really thought that was going to be another ground war but Castrello knew he couldn't hang with Frank on the ground so he tried to pick him apart on the feet.

Night: It was a tall task for Castrello but that what it means to be champ sometimes you get some tough challenges.

Haskil: So what is next for both fo these guys?

Night: Well as I kind of hinted earlier Danger David will be taking on Castrello.

Haskil: Castrello could get a quick rematch for his title with a win here.

Night: Yes or Danger could take it right from him.

Haskil: Who gets the champ Frank?

Night: That was just decided a little while ago after our first ever NAF MidWeek Fight card.

http://www.mmatycoon...php?EvID=724829

Night: "Young" Matt Youngblood came away with the victory and title shot.

Haskil: 5-0 with 4 KO's! That is going to be something to watch.

Night: It hasn't been said when the fight will happen yet but rumors right now say the 4th of February at NAF 16.

Haskil: That is going to be good.

Night: Yeah reporters were able to catch up to Youngblood last night after his win here is what he had to say.

NAF reporter #1: Hey Matt can we get a quick comment about your upcoming fight?

Matt Youngblood: First off. I like to thank my training camp. They always push me to my limits and it shows in the ring. My hats off to Chirs Clark, hes a tuff guy and Im sure I will be seeing him again soon. I knew my hard work and talent would finish him quickly like I stated before! I work very hard and I never stop. As for the #1 contender, I am very honored and would love a shot at the title and the champ. I will promise you that this it WILL be fight of the night! COUNT ON IT!<br style="mso-special-character:line-break"> <br style="mso-special-character:line-break">

*turns and walks back to his dressing room with manager Mike Melton close behind*

Night: we need to take a quick break but we will be right back.

LIVE from The Underground on the 14th of January The NAF Heavyweight title is up for grabs when

Ryan Gives defends his title against Caiaphas Caine

Also in Heavyweight action

Aaron Anderson vs. Mansur Abdel Salam

http://www.mmatycoon...php?EvID=722201

BE THERE!!

Night: We are back now. Also coming out of the Midweek Fight card was Mason Michaels earning a title shot against the champ Jack Dervius.

Haskil: That's a real close fight. Both are pretty even as far as skill.

Night: I would say so. And the fight is already booked for NAF 17 on the 11th of February.

http://www.mmatycoon...php?EvID=725905

Haskil: I can't wait for it.

Night: That finally brings us to our last card for recap. NAF 12: Pilgrim vs. Strausss.

Haskil: Man that Rear naked choke by Ron Lemieux was a real showcase of BJJ. At the Main Event and Co Main Event unbelievable fights!

Night: Man Cody Yeary gas great and he called for the title shot afterwards. Although I think he should get that shot. I hate to see a fighter on the shelf for so long waiting. With Carwin's next fight on the 28th I think Cody may take another fight just to silence truly cement his status for that title shot.

Haskil: Hey man you going o mention the new champ?

http://www.mmatycoon....php?FID=160748

Night: So much to cover of course we have a brand new NAF Bantamweight champion. Daniel Strauss showed the world that he is the real deal at 135. I would think he will be taking on the winner of Pete "Schwetty Balls" Schwetty vs. "The Japanese Zombie " Keisuke Okazaki next Saturday.

Haskil: that 135 division has some solid talent. Scott Piligrim is going to be hungry to get his title back.

Night: Well folks that's all the time we have for this week. I am looking forward to next week when hopefully we have less cards to cover so we can go more in debt on the all the great fighters here in NAF.

Talking is fun. And as for my purple belt, you and I both know that we're gonna stand in this fight. As you know, I think you'll be a tough fight, but I'm getting my belt. ASAP

The stage is set for February 4th. New champ of the 205 light heavyweight division and KO of the night. Mark it, count on it, bet on it!

That's just the thing. ASAP is "as soon as possible" and I hate to break it to you my man... but that shit just is not possible for you. Even *if* I manage to lose it, I can still guarantee you your right hand and your big mouth won't carry you to a title fight. McLeod can and will laugh off anything and everything you throw at him. So the way I see it, you're screwed no matter what you do. I'll be watching the fight, maybe I'll buy you some beers afterward to help you cope.
