DeadlyDirk
Just saw the new update on the Spoiler page and wondered how much they had been slowed down? What is the general reasoning behind it, does it not just encourage people to take longer between fights?
Grey
I don't know about hype but back when Golden Glory was on that huge winning streak over top opponents, his popularity was basically unchanged for three straight fights. He would gain all this popularity from a big victory but lose all of it in the month or so between fights.
felagund
I believe that the reasoning would be to the same as the first slowdown - to spread fighters along the range of hype/pop and make bigger fights, events and PPVs more viable. Currently the no 1 fighter has about 50% of all possible hype and I guess Mike thinks/knows it's because fighters are leaking too much hype/pop in the standard time it gets to get another fight, especially at the top. To get much higher than current 50% in the previous system you'd have to do something like Philip Dale's 7 fight win streak in 7 weeks. Guest
Now if only inactive managers will start losing hype...
Guest
Not inactive managers, manager that don't fight as totally inactive do lose hype...
ArtieBanks
Think its to do with the k-1 option now used since it will have a different hype bar for k-1 fighters meaning that your fighter can compete k-1 and mma without losing a ton of hype each time he switches because of the time inbetween fights
MMATycoon
All are valid reasons to do it but I did it mostly because of the Golden Glory example, when someone pointed that out to me.
