ludovik Posted June 1, 2013 Report Share Posted June 1, 2013 The idea was to pick an ancient arena (in this case was Epidaurus) and add the fighters name in Netherlands colour (reference to Overeem). The #137 poster Marciano vs Overeem was also a reference to the flag but in a different shade and position. I liked the experience with the "old style" as well. Honestly, in regards to the style, I agree that your original poster was the best of the ones presented here. Unless you are just giving away the posters for no in game currency, then you are an employee of the organization. And how much the employer can demand of the employee is based on the agreement made between the two. The org owners I have worked with have pretty much given me free reign, but when they are looking for something specific or special, i try to oblige them. If I feel it is in the best interest of the art form, I try to sway them politely towards another option. I also don't request any kind of money in advance for this reason. If at any point the relationship sours, neither of us is locked into any long term deal. Just some things to consider. Reputation can get you pretty far in the game, especially in this chunk of it. In my opinion the wage what poster makers usually gets (i get 10k/poster, 10 poster deal) doesnt meet with the amount of work they do, so in my mind there has always been a "silent rule" that poster makers have free reign. If this were a real world, as an employee i would ask the wage that i deserve and then i can do things over and over again. Ofcourse we discuss what he wants and i try to do that, but in the end, i do this for fun, and when its not funny anymore for me i say it. I admit that i overreacted yesterday and i was rude but i apologized(very hard word for foreigner) kezz and we are cool and continue to work together. All im trying to say is that employees has their rights too! And if you pay me this much, this is what you get. If you pay me more, i will do more work. Just like in the real world. Just some things to consider. Reputation can get you pretty far in the game, especially in this chunk of it. You do good work and I like your style, so I want you to be able to stick around and keep making stuff for a long time.
