Who did that?

It was done by a guy called Tom Sugar, he is a Polish artist working out of the UK right now. He is doing some amazing work and pretty much dominating the awards these days at the tattoo conventions and he featured in the World's Top 100 tattoo artists last year in Skin Deep magazine.

The portraits in there were not Tom's work as they were done many years ago and Tom just tidied them up so they sat with the rest of the piece when he did it.

Awesome detail! Were Evander & Ali done before the rest?

Yes mate, the portraits are maybe 10-12 years old and done by a different artsist and so not quite the quality of the rest of the work. The portraits were actually pretty solid quality for the time they were done but time moves on and the inks, needles and the artists themselves get better and right now portrait tattoos are another level. The artist that did this just touched them up for this work and then blended them in with the rest of the piece.

I don't have pictures but I have 2 7 offsuit under one wrist and pocket aces under the other wrist. They are my only tattoos and mean more than just the game of NL Hold'em. I am not afraid to reveal personal stuff on here, so I will go ahead and tell you guys I am Bipolar 1. Random announcement but it's the truth. For those that don't play poker 2/7 is the worst hand statistically and pocket aces the best hand statistically. I am a part-time poker professional and full-time author. It might be the other way around because my sole way of income at the moment is through cards. And even authoring, my disease has prevented me from being productive for over a month now.

I'am seriously considering getting some ink for the first time, never in my life did it seem like the right choice for me but its something i have been thinking about more and more... i just dont want something generic, i want it to mean something... still working on that part.

Since you are a part time poker professional, you should know the name Brian Hastings. He's the kid who took Isilder for 4.2 a few months back and made all sorts of waves. I went to HS with him and we were pretty good friends growing up. He just busted out of the wsop on Sunday after doing pretty well.

Thats the downside of tattoos these days, they cost a lot of money :( My back cost around £2000 which at the current US Dollar rate is around $3500

I am saving up to get my arms half sleeved on both sides and so a lot more money to be saved but Tom's waiting list also runs months in advance now and so by the time I get up that list my money should be ready :)

Going in for a consult tommorrow ...

Both my lower legs are already done - one is "fall" and one is "spring" going to do my upper right leg to my ass as "summer"

The plan is an octopus wrapped around my knee and reaching out to grab at a pearl diver who is swimming toward the surface ... floating on the surface is her bucket.

I also need to tie a sea turtle in there and some other images to convey summer as well as tie in the proper imagery that actually mean something to me.

Thankfully I kick with my shins so other then pain during stretching and running I should be fine with continuing to train. Once I get back under the needle I'll post some pics.
