If he runs the gauntlet it has to be YB, but in the event that he loses one of the fights, you guys should really get the right to pick which fighter you'd like to face. Boondock Posted July 22, 2009 Report Share Posted July 22, 2009 deal: - Mendez/Zizzman 5 round non-title fight (fight takes place beginning of august in SynCity) - if Mendez wins he gets to fight YB Sol (non-title 5 rounds). fight takes place wherever Matt Mac wants it to take place. - If Mendez loses .. SynCity gets to choose a fighter that gets to fight YB Sol in CFC (doesnt matter if YB wins or loses in the meantime, but it should happen before mid Sept.). Booyah. I knew Franky would come through. FrankyFin Posted July 22, 2009 Report Share Posted July 22, 2009 i dont think the belts matter with what were doing here. you can fight in a promotion with a belt from another promotion .. win, lose or draw nothing happens with the belt unless you win another belt or youre stripped off it. were doing non-title fights here so no problem no matter how this will play out from a technical POV (i think ). I'll leave him as champ until I decide who will fight for the new belt. Bottom Line: You may hold a belt even tho you aren't under contract with that org anymore. I've accept that contract and I'm gonna fly his ass to vegas, and we'll go from there. In other, related news...CFC and HW Dan Connely have agreed to release him prematurely from his contract to enable him to travel to Tapout FC and take on HW champion Sean Trueman. CFC is proud to do their part to help make these big fights happen but the real props goes to Amy D and the fine folks who run Tapout and SynCity. He has 8 wins and only the solitary loss but looking at the fighters he has taken on recently they were all Blue or White belts except for Dungeon Master who has no wrestling to speak off. In partnership with elite manager Amy D and Las Vegas promotions Synchronicity and Tapout FC, fans will have the opportunity to see some truly elite – and under-rated – talent take on a pair of top 10 ranked fighters in the world. CFC Light Heavyweight contender Joey Zizzman (8-1, six fight win streak) will travel to Las Vegas to take on SynCity champion Paolo Mendez (8-0, #2 ranked p4p fighter) on August 1. The winner will earn a shot at current CFC title holder YB Sol (10-1, #1 ranked p4p fighter). The winner will face Sol in late August in Montreal. In the event that Zizzman defeats Mendez, SynCity will have the opportunity to send a fighter of their choosing to Montreal to face Sol in a match in mid-late September. “I’m very excited for these fights,” admitted CFC Owner Matt Mac. “Zizzman is a real beast. If it wasn’t for the fact that his teammates are Greg Chang and Dan Connely, he likely would have had a title shot in the heavyweight class a while ago. His decision to drop to LHW has really put the division on notice. He dominated Dungeon Master (4-2) in his last fight and now looks to catapult himself into the divisions top 10.” Dan Connely (7-2) has also been released from his CFC contract to allow him to compete in TFC against one of the world’s greatest heavyweights, Sean Trueman (6-1, #8 ranked p4p fighter). Connely is coming off a very controversial loss, but is one of the best wrestlers in the game and an absolute physical specimen. A knockout artist, Trueman will have to keep the fight on his feet to capture the win. Trueman has made somewhat of a career of knocking out good wrestlers, particularly in some of his more recent fights. “This is a fight I think fans just want to see. There’s no special arrangements or deals for this one like we had to negotiate with Zizzman,” said Matt Mac. “Sean Trueman was looking for a fight and we were having difficulties finding people who were willing to take on Connely.
