No Exit: No Way Out 2 Preview

Main Event - 265lbs division

Chavo vs Herald

El Chavo (12-5 MMA, 1-1 NE) had a 5-win streak broken in his debut against Brutal Rapist at Midweeker 3, but got back to the win column with a win against Charlie Manson at Redeemerarena 2. Justin Herald (12-8 MMA, 4-5 NE) is coming back to No Exit after a stint in BFE. He’s 3-2 in his last 5 fights and won his last one. His last fight in No Exit was at No Exit 99 in July 2012. Both guys are even matched in their skills, but Herald has a better standup game in general, while Chavo has a better ground game, specially his wrestling. With 21 out of 24 wins combined coming by way of knockout, you can expect that this fight might end in similar fashion. Chavo will probably try to ground and pound his way to victory, but Herald has heavy hands and he’ll probably give some hard shots to his opponent. Can he take them all night long? Herald by TKO in the 2nd round.

Co-Main Event - 155lbs division

Calculus vs Shinjo

Calculus (22-8 MMA, 2-2 NE) is looking for a win streak for a while and he faces a tough opponent in Sho Shinjo (13-9-1 MMA, 0-0 NE). Shinjo has solid striking skills and we can say the same about Calculus, but in the ground is where the Japanese can find his swagger. Coming out of 2 tough fights, Shinjo wants to show everyone that he’s right next to title contention and he’ll probably do so against Calculus. If the English can’t keep it standing, it might turn bad for him. Shinjo will impose his will with a submission in the 1st round.

185lbs division

Ijima vs Ramos

Ijima (10-6 MMA, 5-3 NE) is an Abu Dhabi champion and No Exit veteran facing debutant Mark Ramos (12-6 MMA, 0-0 NE), who is also a very good grappler. The big difference in this fight is that Ramos is much better using his boxing and that’s definitely the strategy that he’ll use to win this fight. His 7 KOs prove it and he’ll probably add another one to the list in the 2nd round.

205lbs division

Vilkuttaja vs Lesnar

This one is interesting. Vilkuttaja (18-15 MMA, 1-1 NE ) is a better fighter in general and Lesnar (19-6 MMA, 0-0 NE) can give him a tough fight. He’s been with a lot of good guys in the cage. Actually his first loss came to current heavyweight champion when Lesnar was only 4-0 and that was almost 2 years ago. Vilkuttaja usually prefers standing up while Lesnar has most of his wins by way of submission. Vilkutt… Who picked that name!!?? will probably work hard with his boxing in way to a unanimous decision.

145lbs division

Benjamin vs Chuteboxe

Tyson Benjamin (13-0 MMA, 0-0 NE) is a hot prospect that has been away for almost an year after a motorcycle accident required him an arm surgery. He’s coming back against former Vale Tudo Ignite champion and journeyman Cacareco Chuteboxe (15-14 MMA, 0-1 NE). Chuteboxe was knocked out cold by Elvis Bika in his debut at No Way Out 1 and he really is outmatched here. His chances lies with a submission, but both fighters are brown belts and Benjamin might defend it well here. Look for the prospect to keep it standing and slowly destroy the veteran with his boxing skills. Benjamin by TKO in the 2nd round.

Undercard

135lbs division

Vranic vs Riddle

Vranic (2-2 MMA, 1-2 NE) has been inconsistent right now winning his last fight after dropping 2. Riddle (3-0 MMA, 0-0 NE) is another young fighter coming to No Exit for his debut and even though he’s a white belt, his wrestling skills might keep him from the ground and help him trading with Vranic. The Croatian just wants to submit the American, but I believe that Riddle will make it 4-0 with a 1st round TKO.

155lbs division

Gonzalez vs Fischer

Gonzalez (1-2 MMA, 0-1 NE) is moving up from 135 to 155. We don't know exactly why he’s doing it but that really is not our problem and it's not Fischer’s (3-1 MMA, 0-1 NE) problem too. Both guys lost in their No Exit debut and they’re looking for a first win to bump their careers. Gonzalez would probably lose this one if it was at 135lbs but as a lightweight, Fischer will show him how much size makes difference. I expect a brutal display of strength when Fischer works his win by punching Gonzalez face.

155lbs division

Cirus vs Silva

It came as a surprise when Cirus (5-3 MMA, 2-1 NE) got caught in an armbar in his rematch against Josimar Souza. He already defeated him before and was easily defeating him with ground and pound. Right now another rematch is coming, but the aftermath will probably be the same of the first fight. Silva (2-6 MMA, 0-3 NE) doesn't have the skills to avoid being taken down and Cirus will ground and pound him to victory in the 1st round.

185lbs division

Anjos vs Zaremba

Anjos’ (3-1 MMA, 2-0 NE) only loss came by strikes to Wandy Wandeco, who makes the co-main event of No Exit 132 way back to GPG in June. Since then he’s been training and he won his next 2 fights in No Exit displaying both his standup and ground game with finishes against Slater and Ajax. Zaremba's (3-3 MMA, 0-0 NE) inconsistent career reaches its No Exit debut and it won’t be pretty. Anjos can win it everywhere, but the biggest gap in their skills is the BJJ. Anjos will take him down and work his way to a submission in the 1st round.

170lbs division

De Mira vs Capriotti

Algenir de Mira (1-1 MMA, 1-1 NE) will look for redemption after losing his first fight against veteran Marcus Lawrence and he won’t find an easy opponent in Nikolay Capriotti (2-2 MMA, 0-0 NE). The Italian is coming from back-to-back surprise losses and hopes to get back to the winning column. He also wants to prove that he really is a great prospect and can achieve great things. De Mira can give him a hard time, specially standing up, but The Crimson King’s boxing is amazing and he has a great ground game. I’m looking for a 2nd round submission by Capriotti.

No Exit: No Way Out 2 Review

Ladies and gentleman, we had a great event tonight at Hard Knocks - Rio! 6 KOs, 2 Subs and 2 decisions marked this card. Let's start our recap of the event!

The main event had Chavo doing what we thought he would do: He took Herald down and started the ground and pound. The only thing he didn't expect was that Herald got the sweep in both rounds, but it was in the second one that he got the TKO with his strikes from the top. Great victory for the returning veteran in his 2nd stint in No Exit. Herald (13-8 MMA, 5-5 NE) wins again after a KO victory at BFE - 41, while Chavo (12-6 MMA, 1-2 NE) falls short in his second appearance in a main event at No Exit.

Right before the main event, we had Sho Shinjo (14-9-1 MMA, 1-0 NE) and Kenny Calculus (22-9 MMA, 2-3 NE) fighting hard and what we saw was a great debut by Shinjo, putting his opponent to sleep with an arm-triangle in the 2nd round and also winning the Submission of the Night award. After a close first round, Mark Ramos (13-6 MMA, 1-0 NE ) got a great transition in the 2nd and with a dominant position, ground and pounded Ichi Ijima (10-7 MMA, 5-4 NE) for a TKO victory. Heavyweight action saw the Fight of the Night when Vilkuttaja (19-15 MMA, 2-1 NE ) recover from being rocked in the 1st round to win the next two against Sergio Lesnar (19-7 MMA, 0-1 NE). Top prospect Tyson Benjamin (14-0 MMA, 1-0 NE) knocked out cold Cacareco Chuteboxe (15-15 MMA, 0-2 NE) with only 55 seconds left.

In the preliminaries we saw some great action as well. Daniel Riddle (3-1 MMA, 0-1 NE) was expected to keep the fighting standing and pick Mirsad Vranic (3-2 MMA, 2-2 NE) apart with his boxing, but what we got was Vranic controlling him on the clinch and the ground the majority of the fight and winning a unanimous decision. The Knockout of the Night was delivered by Nikola Fischer (4-1 MMA, 1-1 NE) with a stunning 15 seconds jab-uppercut combination that turned the lights out of Yoan Gonzalez (1-3 MMA, 0-2 NE). Tom Cirus (6-3 MMA, 3-1 NE) once again made quick work on the ground against Carlos Silva (3-7 MMA, 0-4 NE) with a TKO victory. Middleweight rising star Raul Anjos (4-1 MMA, 3-0 NE) had a excellent performance against Pawel Zaremba (3-4 MMA, 0-1 NE) when he took him down and knocked him out with strikes only 50 seconds into the fight. The first fight of the night saw welterweight prospect Nikolay Capriotti (3-2 MMA, 1-0 NE) tap Algenir de Mira (1-2 MMA, 1-2 NE) with a guillotine in the first round.

And that was it! February 20th don't miss the big PPV card live from Estadio do Maraca - No Exit 131!

NO EXIT 136 PREVIEW

Ladies and gentleman here we go! No Exit FC presents a great card today live from Flamengo Arena! We have a bantamweight championship fight and other fights that could decide the future of their divisions. Let's not waste another minute here and start with this preview:

DAVID vs. NAZARKIN

Melekh David (10-5 MMA, 1-0 NE) made his debut at No Exit 131 against then-champion Takeshi Miike. Following an unanimous decision, he captured the belt. He was already the last champion of GPG and with this win he extended his win streak to 6 fights. The challenger is Ilya Nazarkin (20-7 MMA, 5-2 NE) a former title contender that decided to change his name after his fight against Rickson Silva. Nazarkin used to be called Ed Nelson but probably he just decided to make a change in his life. His first fight with his new name was a dominant victory at No Exit 133 against Peter Parker. His fight against Takeshi Miike was going totally in his favor, but Miike caught him with a Triangle choke by the end of round 4 and retained his title. Both fighter have great BJJ - both are black belts - but it's standing up that David has a great advantage. He'll probably try to use that because when this fight hit the ground, each fighter has the ability to finish the other.

DOMINE VS IJIMA

Veni Domine (18-9 MMA, 0-0 NE) makes his debut against No Exit's veteran Ichi Ijima (10-7 MMA, 5-4 NE). Domine has a solid game overall, specially with great striking skills. He might want to keep the fight there because his opponent has a black belt in BJJ and very notorious wrestling skills. If Domine does everything right, he'll stuff Ijima's takedowns and knock him out sometime during the fight. Ijima can take shots, but he's been (T)KO'd in 5 of his 7 losses. Let's see what happens in this one.

SHINJO VS VENGATA

Sho Shinjo (14-9-1 MMA, 1-0 NE) faces Antonio Vengata (13-10 MMA, 6-2 NE) in a lightweight bout. Shinjo made his debut against Kenny Calculus got a SOTN victory with an arm triangle choke in the 2nd round. His opponent is an old school fighter from the org. Vengata is a former 155 champion way back in time. He won the title against Leo Totsky at No Exit FC 53: Lightweights and lost it in the next fight against Trent Morrow at No Exit FC 60. He left the org to fight in other places and he finally returned to face face former champion Gegard Zaromskis at No Exit 131. This is a tough fight but I believe that Vengata has the edge in every aspect by a little bit. That might work in his favor and give him an UD win.

POSTIGA VS THOMAS

Sergio Postiga (14-4 MMA, 0-0 NE) debuts against Din Thomas (12-9 MMA, 1-3 NE). Thomas had a brief stunt here and it did not go his way: he lost 3 of his 4 fights and his only win was a lackluster UD win. Postiga comes into this fight with a bigger morale, but Thomas has the tools to defeat him. I believe that "Dinyero" Thomas will get his mood back with a much wanted victory in this evening.

CHUTEBOXE VS MUTCH

Cacareco Chuteboxe (15-15 MMA, 0-2 NE) desperately needs a win against Jordan Mutch (10-7 MMA, 0-0 NE). Chuteboxe is a true veteran of the sport, but he lacks the skills to be a solid contender in the organization. Mutch might not be at that level as well but he'll probably make his debut with an important victory. Chuteboxe can submit him, but Mutch'll stuff his takedowns and grab a decision victory.

MAKINWA VS HARRIS

Ugor Makinwa (8-1 MMA, 0-0 NE) faces Paul Harris (3-1 MMA, 0-0 NE). Both guys are 205 prospects but only Makinwa has the It factor of making a breaktrough. He will defeat Harris with many strikes and keep his momentum rising.

NELSON VS VRANIC

Rogers Nelson (6-0 MMA, 3-0 NE) is a hot 135 prospect and he faces another young guy in Mirsad Vranic (3-2 MMA, 2-2 NE). This fight is pretty easy to pick: Nelson will stay undefeated and Vranic - on a 2 fight win streak - will drop back to the bottom of the division. Nelson is just too much for his game.

RODRIGUES VS GARCIA

Fabricio Rodrigues (13-11 MMA, 0-0 NE) vs. Marcelo Garcia (1-0 MMA, 0-0 NE) is the pure definition of young lion vs old lion fight. Don't get fooled by his record! Garcia is here to make a boom and even though Rodrigues has the edge on experience, Garcia's skills will give him a huge win on this one.

SAGALTICI VS THOMAS BROW

Abdullah Sagaltici (3-1 MMA, 0-0 NE) looks to earn a victory against Mike Thomas Brow (2-6 MMA, 0-3 NE). He doesn't need to look for it, he just needs to get in the cage and choose which way he wants to win this fight. That's the easiest pick of the night.

SLICE VS NGATA

Kimbo Slice (19-11 MMA, 0-3 NE) vs. Haki Ngata (7-5 MMA, 0-0 NE) will open the show with 2 heavyweights looking for a must-win performance. They match each other's skills pretty well and it's hard to pick which one of them will finaly get another victory to their record.

NO EXIT 143 PREVIEW by Yuri Boyka

Hi everyone..I am here with the preview of this weeks event No Exit 143..This is going to be a very exciting evening for everyone..the show has everything needed to make it a huge success..The 185 lbs title is on the line..which means there might be a new champion crowned today..and 9 more exciting fights featuring the best are lined up..lets take a look at the top five match ups..

Perlito Calzada v Sergio Postiga

Calzada has a 22-9 MMA record..he has been a part of No Exit for a long time now and has a 10-4 record here.. He has held the championship in the past and will be looking to take it again.. and with better skills than his opponent in all the primaries he seems right on track.. Postiga is newer to No exit, and having won both his fights since coming here he would be very confident.. He may have lower skills but he isn’t used to losing many fights as can be seen from his 16-4 record.. it will be exciting to see who will emerge the winner..

Ron Damon v Evanildo Bechara

Ron Damon (21-11) has won 2 of his 3 matches since coming to No Exit..He has a better ground game than his opponent and can clearly dominate of he can take this to the ground..His boxing is also top notch and can create trouble for Bechara.. Bechara (19-7) has won one and lost one at No Exit.. He will be looking to win this and add more Ws to his tally at No Exit.. and he will be looking to utilize his superior MT skills to achieve this..

Mark Ramos v Ichi Ijima

Ramos (19-7) has a 2-1 record at No Exit.. He has very good boxing and wrestling which he would be looking to utilize.. Ijima (11-8) is 6-5 at No Exit.. He has very good wrestling and a black belt in Bjj which would make his opponents wary of going to the ground with him.. But he would have a tough time if he cant get the early takedown..

Mark Dai v Rogelio Rodriguez

Mark Dai(19-9) is a veteran at No Exit with a 14-6 record here..He is up against Rodriguez (18-14-3) is also a No Exit veteran with a 14-10-3 record here.. The last time these two came up against each other Rodriguez won by submitting his opponent.. Dai will be looking to not make the same mistake again but he clearly doesn’t have the skills to dominate on his feet.. this will be a very interesting match..

Dexter Fielding v Zach Dio

Fielding (11-5-1) is undefeated at No Exit with a 2-0 record..He is fighting Dio (9-4) whose one loss in No Exit in his 1-1 record came against Dexter.. They faced each other in their first fight in the org.. and Fielding won that one by submission.. Dio would be looking to keep this fight on his feet and use his superior striking skills...and Fielding will be looking to take down and submit is opponent.. A classic Striker v grappler match that everyone loves..

And that’s not all fight fans.. We have five more exciting fights lined up which are sure to entertain all you fans out there.. So be sure to show up on 27th to support your favourite fighter and to make some noise while you are at it.. See you there.. till then its Yuri Boyka signing off..
