In the UK from the schools I've been to its more a case of once you become that level you are given the belt but then again in the UK the IBJJF allow purple belts to grade someone from white to blue and brown belts from blue to purple and so forth because a few years ago there was 1 BJJ Black Belt in Scotland and maybe 5-8 the rest of the UK.

20% is pretty much common place now. Stock limits are pushing the price up constantly

This thread has been a great read to see the progress of you going from being a complete newbie to winning comps. Kind of like a mini blog. Isn't having tests for belts kind of go against everything the IBJJF stands for? In my experience you get a belt in BJJ when you earn it through showing how competent you are in training, sparring and competition not have an instructor watch you perform a certain number of moves and grade you.

Couldn't there be referees assigned to the games which would be allowed to teamview the players? reducing the risk of people using engines.

I think having no flying it would be a lot harder for smaller organisations to sign fighters as some managers would rather keep their 0-0 guys who aren't earning anything fight in the city they are based in which limits them to organisations in their city. With no flying it would be whoever is paying the most gets all the fighters which would make creating a new org not viable.

Guy who ran Hells Balls was Manfred, was a moderator in chat. ChuckW94 was involved with it, I owned a gym. There was an org in Amsterdam. I can't remember who else was members though.
